Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Forage is the main feed for ruminants whose availability is addictive to the season, so it is necessary to find an alternative by utilizing swamp forage by fermentation. This study aimed to determine the nutritional value of fermented forage (Hi-fer+) Are Bolong and Kumpai tembaga with Kemon Air Supplementation on in vitro Digestibility Value. This study used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications, with the following treatments: (A) Hi-fer+Are Bolong 100% + Kumpai tembaga 0% + Kemon air 0%; (B) Hi-fer+ Are Bolong 75% + Kumpai tembaga 20% + Kemon Air 5%; (C) Hi-fer+Are Bolong 50% +Kumpai tembaga 40% + Kemon Air 10% and (D) Hi-fer+Are Bolong 25% +Kumpai tembaga 60% + 15% Kemon Air. The results showed that the treatment had a notable effect on the digestibility of dry matter, organic matter and NH3, but had no significant outcome on the pH content. The best results were in treatment C, namely: Hi-fer+Are perforated 50%, Kumpai tembaga 40% and Kemon air 10% which gave the best digestibility value.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Wilt disease of the Fusarium group is a necrotrophic plant disease that has a wide host range and distribution throughout the world. This pathogen can infect at least 408 plant species worldwide. This field practice aims to determine the percentage level and intensity of attack and identify the cause of wilt disease in eggplant in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The method used in this field practice is carried out by conducting a survey or direct observation in the field to calculate the percentage level and intensity of wilt disease attack on eggplant, then identification is carried out at the Phytopathology Laboratory of the Department of Pests and Plant Diseases, and infectious tests are carried out in experimental land to prove pathogens. cause of wilt disease in eggplant. The results of this field, the cause of wilt disease in eggplant in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency is caused by the fungus Fusarium sp with an average percentage of wilt disease of 42.54% and an average intensity of wilt disease of 40.90% in the field.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).South Sumatra Province is a province with great swampland potential. One of the uses of lebak swamp land is by floating cultivation. Floating cultivation in this study used a raft made of 10 bamboos with a size of 2x1 M. This study aimed to determine the effect of npk fertilizer application on the growth and yield of land kale plants in a floating manner. This research was carried out Embung on the campus of Sriwijaya Indralaya University, from May to July 2022. The study was prepared using a Randomized Group Design (RGD) with 4 treatments, each treatment was repeated 3 times and received 12 treatment units, each treatment unit had 3 plants, so that the total number of plants was 36 plants. P0= Control P1= 0.5 g NPK/polybag P2= 1 g NPK/polybag P3= 1.5 g NPK/polybag. Observed parameters include plant height, number of leaves, degree of leaf greenness, leaf area, fresh weight of the crown, fresh weight of the leaves, fresh weight of the roots, length of the roots, dry weight of the crown, dry weight of the leaves and dry weight of the roots. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that the administration of the recommended dose of NPK fertilizer P2 = 1 g NPK/Polybag gave the best results compared to other dose treatments.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Cayenne pepper (Capsium frutescens L.) is one of the horticultural crops that have economic value, cayenne pepper planted in an optimum environment will produce good plants. One of the important things that need to be considered in the cultivation of cayenne pepper plants is fertilization. Efforts to use vacant land between plants are carried out by planting other plants commonly called intercropping. This study aimed to determine the growth of cayenne pepper (Capsium frutescens L.) rajo variety against fertilization techniques that are cultivated in monoculture and intercropping. This research was carried out with a split plot design consisting of 2 main plots, namely: intercropping and monoculture, which consisted of 4 subplots, namely spot placement, broadcasting, tugal, and spray with 3 replications. The results showed that the fertilization treatment by sowing had an effect on the parameters of plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, crown diameter, and leaf thickness, both intercropped and monocultured. The growth of cayenne pepper in intercropping is better than that of cayenne pepper grown in monoculture.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).The ability of forage plants to adapt differently to different types of soil. Soil type will affect the availability of groundwater, where groundwater is a limiting factor for plant growth. Limited groundwater causes drought stress in plants that disrupt plant growth and biomass production. Based on these differences in adaptability, this study aimed to determine the production capacity of Panicum maximum cv Gatton grass planted on dry land. The study was conducted at Natar Agricultural Science Park, South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. The material used is Panicum maximum cv Gatton grass which was arranged in a completely randomized design with four replications. The planting distance of grass was 0.5 x 0.5 m2. Harvesting was performed when the grass was four months after planting, with five clumps per replication. The morphological character parameters measured included plant height, stem height, leaf length, leaf width, stem diameter, and the number of branches. Productivity parameters were seen based on the number of tillers and fresh clump weight. The results showed that for morphological parameters, as follows: the average plant height of Panicum maximum cv Gatton grass was 123.74 cm; stem height 90.65 cm; leaf length 26.64 cm; leaf width 1.46 cm; rod diameter 3.91 mm; and the number of branches 4.4. As for the productivity parameter, the average number of tillers was 42.15, with a fresh weight of grass per clump of 0.86 kg. It is concluded that Panicum maximum cv Gatton grass is a medium-type Bengal grass cultivar which has good production capability when planted on dry land.

The purpose of this study is to find out and observe changes in the physical properties of the soil after taah mining for the brick industry.Research is done by observing 4 soil profile that is (1) soil that is not is mined (control); (2) soil which have been mined and leaved more than 10 years; (3) soil which have been mined and leaved ± 5 year; (4) soil which have been mined and leaved between 1-3 years. Inceptisol soil has limited physical properties for the development of the root system and soil roots, has a thin effective depth for tillage, has a larger density due to some of the pores filled with dust particles. Based on the distribution of each soil order on the earth's surface, inceptisols have an area of about 15% of the earth's surface area. Classified as fertile land for agricultural land. Result of research indicates that Inceptisol experience change of morphology soil colour, structure, consistency, root, horizon boundary. Inceptisol which has been mined for brick base material experiences change of morphology and soil physical properties. The need of doing of research that is further about land rehabilitation technique so that serve the purpose of consideration in doing repair of area ex-mined.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) was one of the most popular plants in Indonesia as a daily food ingredient. However, growth was often disrupted by insect pest attacks which caused economic losses. In this case, proper control was needed so that pests did not cause massive losses. One of the controls was using predatory insects. Spiders are predators that could control insect populations. This paper aimed to inventory and identify spiders on eggplant plants in Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, Indonesia. The sampling method was carried out by using the direct method by hand. The research was in the form of a field survey using the Purposive Random Sampling method. Sampling of spiders in the field was carried out 3 times in each field and in the morning. The results show that there are 5 species belonging to 2 families. The six species are Oxyopes javanus, Oxyopes matiensis (Oxiopidae), Larinioides sclopetarius, Lycosa pseudoannulata, Misumena vatia (Thomisidae). There is a species that is only found in one village, namely M. vatia. The dominant spider species found were O. javanus, O. matiensis, M. vatia and L. sclopetarius. Therefore, the number of species that have been found is 5 species of spiders from the order Coleoptera. The spiders found have the potential as natural enemies for insect pests.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).At this time the government is intensifying coconut planting to be developed in the community, so good quality seeds are needed. To get quality seeds, it is necessary to pay attention to handling the provision of good and correct seeds, so that good quality seeds are obtained that have the criteria uniform germination speed and high germination rate. Availability of water is an absolute thing in the provision of seeds. At the beginning of nursery, farmers paid less attention to watering the seeds, they think that the seeds in the nursery do not need a lot of water. Water plays an important role in plant growth however it is necessary to know whether water also plays a role in the initial growth of coconut seeds in the nursery. This study aimed to determine the role of water for coconut seeds in the early growth in the nursery. The research was carried out at the Balitpalma Experimental Garden, Mapanget, North Sulawesi. Held in August 2019 – October 2019. The study used two treatments consisting of: a) watered coconut seeds and b) unwatered coconut seeds, each treatment contained 75 plants so that 150 coconut seeds were used, then the independent t-test was conducted. The watering treatment showed no significant difference in the speed of germination. The germination rate showed a significant difference, a high value was obtained in the watering treatment. The watering treatment showed that the results were not significantly different from the speed of germination, but significantly different to the germination rate.

Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Soybean is one of the legume crops and is the world's main source of protein and vegetable oil. Calcium is one of the essential elements needed by plants for growth and production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of calcium fertilizer on the growth and production of soybeans. This research was carried out from November 2020 to February 2021. The method in this study was a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with 4 types of calcium fertilizer treatments: 0 g/polybag (C0), 0.375 g/polybag (C1), 0.525 g/polybag (C2) and 0.865 g/polybag (C3). The results showed that calcium fertilizer had an effect on the number of pods, weight of pods, weight of filled pods, and weight of seeds. The calcium fertilizer treatment that gave the best results on the growth and production of soybeans was found in the C2 treatment at a dose of 0.525 g.

Palembang: Penerbit dan Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Eggplant is a type of vegetable that is favored by the community because besides having a good taste, it also contains lots of vitamins and nutrients. In eggplant cultivation, there are several obstacles that must be faced. This obstacle cannot be separated from the attack by plant pests. Plant damage caused by pests results in decreased production due to the growth and development phase of eggplant plants cannot grow and develop optimally. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of technical culture on the types of pests, population and intensity of pest attacks on purple eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) in Timbangan Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The method used includes determining the land, determining sample plots and sample plants, as well as observing population numbers and intensity of pest attacks. The research was conducted in two eggplant fields with different plant ages. The population number and intensity of pest attacks were analyzed using the t test at the 5% confidence level. The pests found in eggplant are Spodoptera litura, Cheilomenes sexmaculata, and Atractomorpha crenulata. Statistical analysis shows that there are significant differences in the two fields due to different cultivation techniques.
