Abstract

Family development is carried out to create quality and prosperous families who live in a healthy environment at every stage of life, so that different but sustainable interventions are needed. With efforts to carry out family development, resilience will be created in a family. Family resilience is an ability to face and manage problems in difficult situations so that family functions continue to run harmoniously, to achieve the physical well-being and inner happiness of its members. The method used by the author in making this scientific work is to socialize or present material directly to the people of the Bojong Gede village with a brief and simple explanation which can then lead to interaction bias through discussion and question and answer. This is done with the aim of providing information as well as knowledge aimed at the community in forming and creating a harmonious family and at the same time creating resilience within the family sphere.

Abstract

Gunungsari Village, Cikatomas District, Tasikmalaya Regency is a village that has natural beauty with the presence of Situ Cidanti. The natural beauty of Situ Cidanti has the potential to become an ecotourism destination. Ecotourism is a form of tourism that prioritizes and supports nature conservation efforts. However, this ecotourism potential has yet to be utilized optimally by residents. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare a recommendation document containing programs that can become a reference for developing the ecotourism potential of Situ Cidanti in Gunungsari Village. The recommendation document was created by the community service team from Siliwangi University. The contents of the recommendation document for developing Situ Cidanti's ecotourism potential consist of creating a location planning program and establishing local communities as an ecotourism management team that continues to protect existing natural resources. Apart from that, an important thing that needs to be done is branding through digital marketing, such as updating the village's official website, YouTube, and Facebook channels, as well as updating the website and social media accounts already available. This ecotourism development program aims to provide socio-economic benefits by involving citizen participation. It is hoped that Situ Cidanti Ecotourism can attract visitors, especially from outside Gunungsari Village, while preserving nature. Hopefully, these visitors can increase the economic activities of residents involved in UMKM in Gunungsari Village. Therefore, the expected target of this community service is that village officials as service partners can implement programs based on the recommendation documents that have been prepared with sustainable principles. Implementing the program in this document is hoped to make Situ Cidanti a leading ecotourism destination in Tasikmalaya Regency.

Abstract

The workshop program addresses the significance of effective English language teaching and identifies a knowledge gap in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. Drawing on current literature, it emphasizes the need for transformative professional development for EFL teachers to excel in their pedagogical practices. The workshop program aims to equip EFL teachers with the knowledge and skills necessary to create dynamic and inclusive English language classrooms. By focusing on student-centered learning and project-based approaches, the program aims to enhance students' language proficiency and critical thinking abilities. The workshop employs interactive and hands-on learning methods, encouraging collaborative discussions, role-playing, and practical exercises. Experienced facilitators and experts in language education lead the sessions, ensuring an engaging and supportive learning environment. Through the workshop program, EFL teachers gain a comprehensive understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum and its student-centered nature. They learn to integrate CEFR standards effectively, differentiate instruction, and implement formative and summative assessments. Moreover, teachers gain insights into overcoming challenges related to curriculum transition and student diversity. By participating in the workshop program, EFL teachers can elevate the quality of English language teaching in their classrooms, fostering a generation of confident communicators and critical thinkers.

Abstract

This study explored the acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in writing publications among senior high school teachers in Singkawang, adopting the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a framework. The research aimed to comprehend teachers' attitudes toward AI integration in their writing practices. AI, including tools such as Google Translate, Grammarly, QuillBot, ChatGPT, and Elicit, offers multifaceted benefits, enhancing writing productivity, providing real-time feedback, and assisting in language translation. The study involved 30 teachers, utilizing the final version of TAM to assess Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Attitude toward Usage, and Behavioral Intention to Use. Results revealed a moderate level of acceptance, with 83.3% falling into the medium category. Descriptive statistics underscore positive perceptions, indicating that teachers recognize AI's potential benefits, yet qualitative insights are needed to explore barriers and variations in acceptance levels. Despite concerns of over-reliance and potential biases, AI tools significantly contribute to writing efficiency, accessibility, and democratization of information. The study recommends future research to investigate specific AI tool impacts and individual experiences for a more comprehensive understanding of AI acceptance dynamics among Singkawang teachers.

Abstract

A fire alarm is an early warning system for the danger of Fire. If early warning of the danger of Fire is active, officers immediately look for fire spots to extinguish. If the Fire is still small or medium, the Fire can be extinguished with a light fire extinguisher. If the Fire is big, it is extinguished with a sprinkler or water from the hydrant system. The Inalum building only started operating in 2021, and the workers in building management have yet to experience fire extinguisher systems. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out hard skills training regarding fire extinguisher systems. The aim is for workers to understand how the fire extinguisher works and that the building is ready to face the dangers of Fire. The training results showed that the workers' hard skills increased by 21.03%, initially only 74.48% before and increased to 95.51% after the training. This learning process was considered satisfactory by the training participants. The benefits of the training received a score of 4.89 on a scale of 5 by the participants.

Abstract

The development of information technology from year to year is increasing. This technological development must be followed by every resident in any country, one of which is the people in Indonesia. The use of information technology in Indonesia is carried out by companies, hospitals, governments, schools, and even SMEs. UMKM is an abbreviation for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises. UMKM itself is a trading business carried out by the community in a small scope. In Indonesia, there are many MSMEs scattered throughout the region. Various MSMEs currently start in the business sector, services, and even home businesses. One of the home trading businesses managed by homemakers is the WINGKO LA UMKM. WINGKO LA UMKM is a business from Mrs. Yuaningsih in the Lamongan Region, East Java. Two types of Wingko business products from Mrs. Yuaningsih are wet wingko and crispy wingko. In implementing her sales, Mrs. Yuaningsih uses a word-of-mouth sales model and does not use information technology optimally. From this problem, the researchers assisted WINGKO LA and WINGKO sellers in Jl. Sumargo Gg Kenongo and Around Lamongan in the form of information technology training to assist the product sales and promotion process. The technology used by WINGKO Lamongan SMEs includes Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, and Marketplace.

Abstract

The elderly will experience changes in the structure and function of the systems in their body. These changes can be in the form of physical and biological changes such as blood pressure, pulse, muscle strength, muscle flexibility, and others. This research was conducted to determine the level of flexibility, muscle strength and balance in the elderly. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The sample used was elderly > 60 years as many as 10 people (60-64=6, 65-69=4) who were taken using the total sampling method. The instruments used are 5 components of the Senior Fitness Test. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in the dynamic balance component.

Abstract

Business development is part of the dynamics of economic activity which is increasingly developing along with the progress of the times. MSMEs run businesses independently in their economic activities. Therefore, creativity in developing a business is highly expected. One form of creativity is innovation. Chip products are traditional foods that have long been embedded in society. Tempeh chips with a savory and light taste to eat in box-shaped packaging. However, along with the rapid development of business, many are trying to provide a touch of variety in taste. However, it was not easy for the market to accept the change because the original taste was considered the best. With this phenomenon, it is hoped that MSMEs will have other ways to be creative and innovate. One of the MSMEs is tempeh chips in the South Purwokerto area. This MSME has been around for a long time and provides supplies to several other places. However, innovation needs to be carried out to have its own new and more profitable market because it has selling points that are more popular with the market. The method used in this program is to create a community service program in the form of innovating new product variations in the form of new tempeh in small sizes for selling value and initiating a marketing network to develop the business. So it is hoped that the knowledge possessed by academics can be useful for implementing science and technology to develop MSME businesses. The output of this program is small size tempeh chips products in packaging and marketing development.

Abstract

PMDG is an Islamic boarding school that has several activities that require large amounts of electricity and students as staff who manage electricity or are electrical and diesel operators. Electric and diesel operators at PMDG are young students and do not yet know the dangers of electricity. Apart from that, they also work without using PPE. It can cause work accidents and other major impacts such as explosions and fires. This service aims to identify, assess, and analyze risks using the HIRA method, provide knowledge about electrical safety, as well as provide PPE and how to use it. The methods used are pretest, education, posttest, and mentoring. Based on the results of the activities, it was found that four electrical activities had a high risk: installation of switches, installation of new electricity, installation of new MCBs at height and connection, and cleaning of generator handles with PLN voltage. There was an increase in participants' knowledge of 15.7%, increased skills in using PPE, and all participants were active. There needs to be continuity by providing intensive supervision and assistance regarding the implementation of electrical safety. Participants also need to be given training in dealing with work accidents caused by electricity. Keywords: electrical safety, education, operator, Islamic boarding school

Abstract

Preparing students to be ready to collaborate in the 4.0 era using available curriculum implementation is one of the teachers' tasks in the classroom. One of the problems that occurs at the Seboropasar State Elementary School in Purworejo district is that students' collaboration skills are still low. For this reason, the introduction of a gamification-based learning model can be the right solution. The aim of this activity is to improve teachers' understanding, knowledge, abilities and skills in carrying out interesting and interactive learning using a gamification approach. The method used in this activity is service learning with 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. This activity was attended by teachers and students Seboropasar State Elementary School teachers. The results obtained from this activity are increased understanding, abilities and skills of teachers in managing learning that is interactive, interesting and able to improve students' collaboration abilities.
