Abstract

This service program aims to optimize natural resources through water filtration installations by converting solar power into electrical energy to meet the clean water needs of Gomang hamlet - Lajolor Village residents. The method used to carry out community service is service and mentoring. Technical implementation is divided into three stages: preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. At each stage of implementation, instruments that refer to the objectives of the service based on the results of observations in the field are used. The results of this service program are in the form of using PLTS to replace electricity needs to drive pumps and filtration equipment to provide safe, healthy, and clean water for residents of Gomang Hamlet. In the long term, it can also be improved in the form of mineral water packaging to enhance the economy of residents. This program also produces outputs in the form of maintaining a sustainable ecology, especially in supporting the sustainability of spring water sources. The Water Filtration Program with PLTS can optimize the water supply produced from the abundant springs in Gomang Hamlet - Lajolor Village and increase residents' income by cultivating healthy living. The implementation of this program requires assistance and sufficient time. Optimization of limited time has not been able to provide maximum results. Therefore, this program needs to be implemented continuously. Local community groups and related parties enthusiastically followed the community service activities in Gomang hamlet. Nevertheless, the participation of various parties in supporting the program's implementation is needed in the future.

Abstract

Portrait of learning activities at partner locations still using classic books written by previous Salaf scholars called the old book using the bandongan and sorogan methods. In the development of the 4.0 era, there are increasingly more innovations in media and learning technology, including the Matabah Samilah application. This application has capacity and a large number of books in it which can be used as learning references in Islamic boarding schools. However, partners have not been able to implement it because 1) lack of knowledge about using the old book application, 2) do not yet have application-based computer technology skills in learning activities, 3) and there is no old book library that supports the increase and development of knowledge at partner locations. The activity methods that will be used are training, workshops, tutorials, practice and micro teaching simulations. The results of community service are increased knowledge, skills and implementation of Maktabah Syamilah as a digital old book library. From the results of the post test carried out at the end of the activity, the results showed that around 82% had good knowledge and skills in using the application, while the results of the knowledge test were sufficient and about 28% were insufficient.

Abstract

In facing the current dynamics of education, big challenges arise with the introduction of the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia. The focus on developing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) creates a deep need for planning teaching modules that are innovative and in line with new curriculum principles. The workshop is structured into several sessions which include an introduction to the HOTS concept, development of teaching modules, technology integration, and direct practice in creating module prototypes. This process is designed to provide an in-depth understanding and skills needed for elementary school teachers to be able to design teaching modules that are by the principles of the Independent Curriculum. Through a step-by-step approach, this workshop becomes a bridge towards implementing quality and relevant learning at the basic education level.

Abstract

Some communities have limited access to road transport safety education programs. Not all communities are actively involved in efforts to empower road transportation safety and have the perception that the risk of accidents is something that cannot be avoided. Community empowerment regarding road transportation safety includes 4 stages (preparation, provision of pre-test, community empowerment phase, and provision of pre-test) with community results on road transportation safety. 60 people from PAUD Teachers and Transportation Service Employees were participants for 2 days with 7 topics. The majority of participants consisted of teachers (83.3%), women (90%), bachelor's degrees (60%), and over 46 years of age (51.5%). Pre-test 7 topics still below 30%. The first day's activities were phase 1 to phase 4 and the second day was phase 5 to phase 7. Post-test 7 topics were above 75%. 7 topics have increased above 50%. The improvements that occur can be the beginning of realizing road transportation safety for society.

Abstract

Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya is a reading park under the auspices of the Pimpinan Cabang 'Aisyiyah Minggir Cultural Institute which is located in the Al-Umar Parakan Wetan Sendangsari Minggir Mosque complex, Sleman Yogyakarta. Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya was founded in 2019 after receiving the first grant from the National Library of Indonesia. The main problems faced include that Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya has not upgraded its reading books or other supporting facilities, so its resources are still limited. The management carried out by volunteers is considered less than optimal, because there is no strong motivation from the management to maximize the value of this reading park. To be able to overcome this problem, the service team tried to provide a solution by creating a program whose aim was to increase the value of the Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya using a learning method approach through stories. So, the activity that will be carried out is storytelling training for kindergarten and PAUD teachers in Kapanewon Minggir. Apart from that, another activity that the proposing team offers as a solution to improve the functionality of Taman Pustaka 'Aisyiyah Dzakiya is improving the physical facilities of the library, namely by repairing damaged cupboards and increasing the collection of reading books in the library. Methods for implementing activities include preparation and coordination, repair and upgrading of facilities, implementation of storytelling training, and evaluation and monitoring.

Abstract

Stunting has become a serious problem today. Data shows that East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province first ranks in stunting nationally. Based on the 2021 Indonesian Nutritional Status Study (SSGI), 15 districts in NTT are categorized as red (stunting prevalence >30%). South Middle East (TTS) and North Middle East (TTU) districts have a prevalence of >46%. This study aims to discuss the model of community empowerment in dealing with stunting which has become a serious problem today in South Middle East District (TTS). The method used is direct education (a method that involves delivering information and knowledge directly to individuals or groups). The results show that community empowerment to reduce stunting is a collective work between pentahelix elements, community empowerment programs in Haumenbaki Village rely on the strength of local wisdom, namely manonop (cooperation) and three important actors of community empowerment elements in Haumenbaki Village, namely the community, village government, and external institutions (agencies, universities, NGOs, and the media).
