Abstract

The nahwu rules that have been studied and known so far do not necessarily exist and have previously been available, but this is the result of the hard work of linguists using a variety of methods in it. This study aims to reveal the bases used by linguists in the formulation and standardization of nahwu rules. The type of method used in this study is a qualitative research method using a library research approach. Based on the analysis of the literature study, the linguists use four main bases in formulating the rules of nahwu, including the samā’ or naql, ijmā', qiyās and istiṣḥāb. Samā ' has three main foundations in the form of definite arguments in building nahwu rules, al-Qurān, the hadīth, and the words of the Arabs, both in the form of verse and prose. Ijmā’ is an agreement of language scholars in compiling nahwu rules. Qiyās is the largest argument used by linguists in making rules and for solving linguistic problems that arise. The last is the istiṣḥāb; although it is the weakest foundation compared to the others, it is still used in determining the nahwu rules. Knowing these all aspects will give many benefits in teaching and learning Arabic.

Abstract

Tolerance is the key to living comfortably, peacefully and happily. In the life of the people and the nation, tolerance has become the benchmark in realizing the advance of a country, as reflected in the Charter of Medina that the Prophet Muhammad p.b.u.h formed a state on the basis of Islamic values, one of which was tolerance. A state or community will embrace safety and peace once its people live in mutual tolerance. In this study, there were three questions needed to be addressed: (1) What is the concept of tolerance in Islam?, (2) What is the attitude of tolerance between religious believers and social tolerance according to Islamic religious education lecturers at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh? and (3) How is the response of the Islamic religious education lecturers of UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh towards the study which concluded that the city of Banda Aceh was of low tolerance? This study used the qualitative approach with field research methods, employing primary and secondary data. The results of the study revealed that the main criterion in defining religious tolerance was found in the Qur’an Surah al-Kafirun verse 6, while that in defining the social tolerance was in Surah an-Nisaa verse 86. The attitude of tolerance that the Prophet p.b.u.h had shown on various occasions was very comprehensive regardless of place and person, in any capacity. Therefore, the attitude of tolerance of the Prophet p.b.u.h had become a reference for every community to this day and he was also dubbed as the role model (Uswatun Hasanah). Responding to the finding of low tolerance in the city of Banda Aceh from a study, most respondents, however, believed otherwise. They agreed that Banda Aceh has already been a very tolerant city in terms of religious and social aspects in Indonesia. Thus, such low tolerance could not be generalized to all aspects and concluded that the city of Banda Aceh was an intolerant city or had a low tolerance level.

Abstract

This study aimed to seek an in-depth understanding of digital trends among Islamic university students to use their literacy well and balanced on the positive internet. We believe that students' success using the facilities of digital technology is closely related to their proficiency in ICT. In order to understand easily, we chose the research method of research on the data findings that have been published in several journals that we can access with the Google Scholar data search engine published from 2010 to 2021. We involve analytical studies under the phenomenological approach to finding valid and reliable data. In the data review process, for example, we analyze data, evaluate, and critically interpret before drawing conclusions that answer the questions of this study. So one of the findings is that students can access lecture material using digital media skills to understand digital literacy. Their digital literacy is present positively and wisely because they have received training and use digital technology in a balanced way to make digital media an additional source of reference for proper and balanced lecture, game, and entertainment materials. These findings should be helpful in the development of future studies.

Abstract

Hermeneutics is known as the science of interpreting and explaining texts. Hermeneutics, which was originally used as a way to interpret the scriptures and understand the text, has now risen to the level of a philosophical school and even entered the field of research theorizing and curriculum. It is especially important for disciplines about religious texts. For a hermeneutic educator, education is considered to be the heart of education, because education is nothing more than a process of effective application of hermeneutics (language) and for educators, it is a framework that may be used as a strategy and technique called critical thinking, which is a necessity of the present age. The first step of the article starts with extracting materials from the perspective of hermeneutic philosophy of Islamic approach by studying the internal and external texts of the curriculum dimensions and for this purpose the analytical-inferential method is used. In the second stage of the article, by examining the handful of patterns on hermeneutics that were deductive, theoretical, a new model for children's curriculum is presented to offer educators solutions to develop students' judgments and critical thinking from an early age. For this purpose, the practical analogy presented in a prescriptive form has been used as a useful and obligatory knowledge that has a great help in the field of education with an Islamic approach. This is provided that educators are familiar with the specific language of religious instruction, which requires skillful interpretations, so that students can learn how religious subjects influence people.

Abstract

The main goal in character education is to achieve noble character to create a harmonious human life, helping each other, being fair, and having a balanced relationship in social life. Because of that, instilling character in students is fundamental so that when they grow up, they can become the next generation of solid character. This study uses library research that compares the concept of learning the character of al-Ghazali and Thomas Lickona. The research method carried out in this study was carried out with several steps, such as collecting qualitative data based on reputable data sources and analyzing data to obtain final results. The study results show that Al-Ghazali's educational method is a traditional nuanced method of "lecture and uswah hasanah". Furthermore, Al-Ghazali's educational materials are all forms of teachings contained in the Islamic religion. More clearly and concretely, the concept of education initiated by Al-Ghazali contains two elements: transcendence (rububiyyah: divine) and humanization. Meanwhile, the concept of character learning initiated by Thomas Lickona formulates character learning that involves all components in the education process, both family, school, and community. In addition, the character learning process, according to Thomas Lickona is an effort that involves three aspects of intelligence, including cognitive through moral knowing, affective through moral feeling, and psychomotor through moral acting as follows: The purpose of character learning is to help students become intelligent and good in manners.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how experiential learning theory was applied in Islamic religious education during the covid-19 epidemic. Interviews and observations are used to acquire primary data, whereas documentation studies obtain secondary data. This research was conducted at SMP Takhassus Al-Qur'an Tarub Tegal and SMA N 1 Karanggede, Boyolali. The data validity test is accomplished by triangulating the data analysis sources utilizing Miles and Huberman analysis, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data visualization, and data verification. The findings indicated that experiential learning theory might be applied to pandemic education in four stages: tangible experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation, both offline and online learning. Experience-based Islamic religious education helps students learn, comprehend, live, and practice Islamic teachings.
