Abstract

Reducing unemployment is one of the complex economic development problems that is being faced by various countries, including Indonesia. Increasing awareness and entrepreneurial abilities, which are currently being carried out by the government, is a way to improve economic conditions and increase community potential. This research aims to determine how student interest can support business success by paying attention to personal factors that influence student personality: environment, motivation, and skills. The research respondents were Budi Luhur University students who had previously been entrepreneurs, totaling 209 respondents. This research uses the Structural Equation Model method with Partials Least Square. The research results show that interest can mediate motivation and skills on business success; apart from that, environmental factors are an essential determinant of increasing students' motivation to become entrepreneurs. High motivation is the main drive; skills are a strong foundation in managing a business, while deep interest is the driving factor that maintains active involvement and focus on business development. A balanced combination of these three factors is often the key to student entrepreneurial success, helping them face challenges and take advantage of opportunities in the dynamic business world.

Abstract

Investing involves putting money into a variety of asset classes for a predetermined amount of time in the hopes of increasing total value and producing more income. The goals of investments and economics, such as value creation, profit generation, and other related goals, are strongly correlated. It is critical to recognize that investments may include additional financial, social, and spiritual goals. This research aims to assess investor behavior from internal and external perspectives concerning investing decisions. This study employs the Structural Equation Model (SEM) methodology utilizing the Smart-PLS software. This study's findings demonstrate that qualities including anger, anxiety, overconfidence, and self-monitoring positively influence investment decisions. Herding mitigates the adverse impacts of anger, anxiety, overconfidence, and self-monitoring on investment decisions. This research's consequences can assist investors in circumventing irrational risks and yield more objective findings grounded in thorough study. This tendency can result in inefficient market transactions, asset bubbles, and significant volatility. This study arose as a counter to the conventional understanding of exchange markets predicated on the premise of trader rationality. This research identifies that emotional emotions, risk perception, and cognitive biases frequently affect investment decisions by comprehending human nature.

Abstract

More research is needed, particularly examining the connection between service quality and patient happiness in the setting of faith-based hospitals. This study seeks to fill this empirical void by investigating the correlation between service quality, patient satisfaction, and the intention to recommend a faith-based private hospital. An empirical study was carried out from October to November 2022, with a sample of 200 participants who underwent medical treatment at religiously affiliated facilities in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The quantitative data were examined using structural equation modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS version 3.2. The results suggest that the quality of healthcare services has a favourable impact on consumer satisfaction. The intention to promote healthcare services is strongly influenced by patient satisfaction. Moreover, patient satisfaction completely mediates the association between healthcare service quality and recommendation intention. Furthermore, the study highlights reliability as the primary determinant in forecasting the quality of healthcare services. The findings enhance comprehension of the dynamics within faith-based hospital settings, guiding strategic initiatives to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

Abstract

The strategic management process of each category of organization will undoubtedly be distinctive. This study aims to ascertain the strategic management process in higher education institutions in Indonesia. This research is a qualitative case study that examines the University of Indonesia (UI), Gajah Mada University (UGM), Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Telkom University (TELU), Indonesian Islamic University (UII), and Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). The strategic management process at Indonesian HEI is described or concluded by analyzing secondary data in the form of strategic plan documents compiled with analysis of primary data in the form of interviews with experts in the field of higher education. The research findings indicate that the strategic management process in Indonesian higher education institutions is comprised of four stages: (1) environmental analysis, (2) strategy formulation, (3) strategy implementation, and (4) evaluation control. An example of the originality or uniqueness of the strategic management process in Indonesian higher education institutions is internal environmental analysis, which employs its criteria rather than the commonly used value chain analysis or functional analysis approach criteria.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine the impact of liquidity, financial leverage, and company size on financial performance, with the moderation of holistic owner engagement in LQ45 enterprises. The study utilizes secondary data obtained from LQ45 firms that are publicly traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2023. The data were subjected to panel data regression analysis. The findings suggest that liquidity, financial leverage, business size, and holistic owner participation all have an impact on financial success. In addition, the level of owner engagement has a moderating effect on the impact of liquidity, financial leverage, and firm size on financial performance. This study suggests that adopting a comprehensive approach to owner involvement can be an effective strategy for enhancing the financial performance of companies that are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Previous empirical research has yet to examine the impact of comprehensive owner engagement as a moderator on enhancing financial success. According to the findings, a successful approach to enhancing financial performance is to have comprehensive owner engagement in the organization.
