Abstract

Leadership is essential for corporate to strive the MSMEs to adopt the digital technology. However, the topic of how MSMEs managers may integrate the four dimensions of transformational leadership to increase adoption in the digital transformation era remains unanswered. This study investigates the role of transformative leadership in predicting MSMEs' adoption of digital technology. The research preposition was explored by a sample of 203 Indonesian MSMEs' employees. The fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) method was used to study the complex causality of transformational leadership in the adoption of digital technologies by MSMEs. The appropriate configurations connected to high agility were discovered by FsQCA, and this study concluded that idealized influence, inspirational motivation, and individual consideration will lead MSMEs to attain adoption of digital technology. This study provides theoretical and managerial guidance to scholars and managers interested in examining organizational adoption of digital technology in the MSME sector through the use of the four dimensions of transformational leadership. Following that, other theoretical contributions, practical implications, and future directions are considered.

Abstract

The restructuring of organizational structure, along with the improvement of workflow and business processes within the public sector organizations, is conducted to achieve effective and efficient governance. This research utilizes social exchange theory to examine the influence of internal communication satisfaction and perceived organizational support on employee’s readiness to change, mediated by employee engagement to support the renewal of organization in the public sector in Indonesia. The data analysis results from 387 respondents from the Tax Authority employees show that 7 hypotheses have a positive and significant influence, while 3 hypotheses are found to be not significant. The data were gathered via a survey method by sending online questionnaires to the respondents. Using the Lisrel 8.8 program, structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the hypotheses.

Abstract

On a practical level, market positioning is critical to achieving competitive advantage, and thus the success of new ventures and entrepreneurs needs more relevant insights to help them gain a foothold in new or existing markets. The purpose of this paper is to carefully analyze and assess the current body of written work regarding the strategic act of positioning a product or brand in the market, thereby critically reassessing and re-evaluating the fundamental notion of positioning and ultimately establishing a more all-encompassing and thorough definition from an abstract and theoretical point of view. In this paper, the authors would like to explore past research related to market positioning in the Scopus database using the keywords “positioning marketing", marketing positioning”, "positioning”, and “strategic positioning” from 2000–2023 (23 years) using the criteria of “exclude and include,” and a total of 140 articles were obtained. Once analyzed, the literature review revealed that there is no coherent definition for positioning and that there is no common agreement among marketing experts and practitioners on the precise meaning of the concept. Therefore, a comprehensive definition of positioning covering the five underlying positioning perspectives (competition, gap/empty mind, consumer perception, differentiation, and advantage) is suggested. Keywords: Market Positioning, Positioning Strategy, Bibliometric Analysis.

Abstract

Turnover intention is a phenomenon that has garnered attention in today's workplace environment. It refers to individuals' desire to leave their current jobs in the near future. This phenomenon is significant as it can impact organizational stability, recruitment costs, and employee productivity. The aim of this study is to assess the influence of transformative leadership on turnover intention and affective commitment. The role of affective commitment as a mediator is also examined in this research. A quantitative research approach is employed, and the sample size consists of 160 participants from a total population of 255 individuals. Several departments participated in this study, including Accounting, Operations, Marketing and Sales, Recruitment, Human Resources, Treasury, IT Management, and Support Departments. To evaluate the hypotheses, this investigation utilizes a data analysis technique known as Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings of this research indicate that there is substantial evidence showing that transformative leadership negatively impacts employees' intention to resign from their current positions and positively influences affective commitment. Furthermore, it is revealed that affective commitment serves as a mediator between the correlation of transformative leadership and employees' inclination to resign from their roles. This study examines practical implications as well as relevant research recommendations pertaining to the core issue.

Abstract

This study focused on the interplay of control levers and organizational learning as well as the impact of Management Control Systems (MCS) on firm performance in Nepalese Commercial Banks. The study aims to examine the relationships between MCS levers (belief, boundary, diagnostic, interactive) and firm performance and assess the mediating role of organizational learning in this relationship. The study was done using descriptive and causal-comparative design, where a survey was carried out by deriving the responses from the employees of various commercial banks in Kathmandu. The findings of the study highlighted the significant correlations between MCS, organizational learning, and performance, highlighting MCS as a key tool for enhancing performance in the Banking sector. This study acknowledges limitations such as focusing only on Kathmandu and suggests future research to expand geographically and explore other sectors for broader applicability. Keywords: Management Control Systems, Levers of Control, Organizational Learning, Banking Sector.e other sectors for broader applicability.

Abstract

The Indonesian economy shows that Kalimantan has an important role in the national economy, contributing 8.45% in 2014, placing it as the third largest after Java and Sumatra. However, there are income disparities between provinces in Kalimantan, resulting in disparities in economic development. Therefore, the government must gradually increase investment and the industrial sector to even out income distribution. This research aims to analyze the Kalimantan provinces' sigma and beta convergence. The results indicate that the provinces' economies in Kalimantan still need to be fixed. The per capita income dispersion level from 2000-2021 has improved, or sigma convergence has occurred. Through dynamic panel data analysis, it was found that absolute and conditional beta convergence occurred at levels throughout the Kalimantan region. The conditional beta convergence rate shows that the variables representing production factors can accelerate the convergence rate. Variables influencing income growth and the convergence process are FDI, DI, Industry, and locally generated revenue.   Keywords: Economic Growth, Convergence, Investment, Industry, Fiscal.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to estimate the Output Gap in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province using a Modified Hodrick Prescott (HP) Filter method by primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors. Design/methodology/approach: The study uses quarterly constant-price RGDP data from 2010Q1 to 2023Q3. The Potential RGDP is estimated using a modified HP Filter with an optimal lambda value derived by minimizing the Generalized Cross Validation (GCV). An algorithm developed in R-Statistics software was employed to automate lambda optimization and potential output computation. Findings: The optimal lambda values were found to be 343 for total RGDP, 271 for the primary sector, 4438 for the secondary sector, and 989 for the tertiary sector. Overheating was identified during 2015Q1–2016Q1 due to a surge in mining activity, while the COVID-19-induced recession was observed from 2020Q1 to 2022Q2. The primary sector was most vulnerable during overheating, the secondary sector remained stable, and the tertiary sector was most affected during the recession. Research limitations/implications: As a univariate method, the Modified HP Filter may not fully capture structural economic shifts, especially in the primary sector. Further research using multivariate approaches such as SVAR, Kalman Filters, or production functions is recommended. Practical implications: Sector-specific output gap estimation enables more targeted fiscal and monetary policy interventions. Policymakers can apply contractionary measures during overheating and expansionary actions during recession with greater precision based on sectoral sensitivity. Originality/value: This study provides a novel application of a modified HP Filter at a regional and sectoral level in Indonesia, offering a valuable analytical tool for regional economic monitoring and policy development. Paper type: Research paper   Keywords: Output Gap, NTB, Potential RGDP, R-Statistics.
