This research was conducted at MA Darul Ulum Purwogondo Jepara. The subjects of this study consisted of a small-scale trial subject with 20 students and a large-scale trial subject with 68 students. Instruments and data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and tests of students' cognitive learning outcomes obtained from the pretest and posttest scores. The results showed that (1) the observation-based hybrid learning module was declared valid by validators of media experts and material experts with an average score of 94.4%. (2) The results of the readability analysis of the module meet the very good criteria based on the teacher's response of 97.5% and the student's response of 83.6%. (3) The results of the feasibility analysis of the module based on the teacher's response of 95% and the student's response of 82.1% indicate the module is very feasible. (4) The results of the analysis of the effectiveness of the module to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes are the N-gain value of 0.70 with high criteria. The results of this study indicate that the observation-based hybrid learning module is feasible and effective to be used as a learning media for biodiversity material to improve students' cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Scientific attitude is very important in learning activities. In addition, one of the learning objectives stated that students must have character. Students must be able to solve problems scientifically to form a good character or attitude. Such learning can be realized by using contextual learning such as project-based learning, as well as using standard scientific attitude assessment instruments. However, this affective assessment has been less emphasized. Most educators prioritize cognitive aspects in their assessment activities. For this reason, it is necessary to develop a scientific attitude assessment using self & peer assessment in project-based learning. This research is a kind of R&D research that used the ADDIE development model. The purpose of this study is to analyze the validity of the instrument, the practicality of the instrument, and the effectiveness of the developed scientific attitude assessment instrument by using self & peer assessment in project-based learning. The sample used in this study was class VII A and B SMP N 04 Lambu Kibang totaling 48 students. The lesson taught was about environmental pollution. The results of the validity of the instrument analyzed using the CVR obtained 0.9. This means that the instrument validity was good. The results of the instrument's effectiveness can be seen from the scientific attitude that has excellent criteria. The assessment used in this study was only self-assessment because of the limited learning activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first learning step is having a scientific attitude of critical thinking, responsibility, and care for the environment. The second is having curiosity, perseverance, and responsibility. The third is having curiosity, critical thinking, and being objective. In the fourth learning step, the scientific attitudes that have excellent criteria are the attitude of being curious, objective, and persevering. The fifth learning step is being disciplined, caring for the environment, and having a critical thinking attitude. The sixth is an attitude of curiosity, perseverance, and responsibility.

Abstract

Characteristics of learning biotechnology is the existence of a process and product related to everyday life. Therefore, an effective learning process is needed and supported by relevant learning resources. This study aims to analyze the validity of SETS-based biotechnology material booklets used in biotechnology learning. Describe the characteristics of SETS-based biotechnology material booklets. Analyzing students' critical thinking skills in biotechnology learning using SETS-based booklets. Analyzing the effectiveness of biotechnology learning using a SETS-based booklet This research is a research and development (R&D) study. The booklet development trial was conducted in 4 schools, with the research subjects being class XII students in each school. Applicative and meaningful learning of biotechnology can be achieved, one of which is by learning using the SETS vision booklet. The SETS vision booklet contains more concise material, accompanied by attractive, colorful pictures that can effectively improve student learning outcomes. The N-gain value obtained is 0.3-0.4 with the medium category and classical completeness reaching 60%. Critical thinking skills that are formed through active learning using SETS vision booklets are 71% -80% in the high category. Critical thinking skills in integrating SETS elements in biotechnology learning can make it easier for students to understand knowledge concepts, so that they can increase learning effectiveness, namely improving learning outcomes and classical mastery.

Abstract

Education on 4.1 era are much using the technological advances on Information and communication field. Internet technology is one of technology that allows everyone to do everywhere and anywhere learning or can be called as mobile learning. Learning by using mobile learning can support the development of education. At this time, students are required not only to produce high scores but also to understand the subject matter that has been taught, so that, it can be implemented in solving problems for everyday life. On the other hand, Students are required to be able to solve a problem with toughness. Therefore, students must have a theoretical foundation or concept that is in line with the facts and to create mature decisions. In sum to make the students to become people who always want to learn and learn. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of using M-learning (mobile motion) on students’ understanding toward Motion System subject matter on XI Science Class. This study uses the Research and Development (RnD) design and the the technique used is a one shoot case study. The research was conducted at SMAN I Sendang Agung with 57 students as the research subject whom divided into 2 classes. The results of the study are as follows: (1) on the subject scoring by subject experts 84, 45% was obtained and 85.33% with very good criteria, and the scoring by media experts 85.49% was obtained and 89.91% with very good criteria so that the media confirmed valid. The score which obtained from students who have used M-Learning Application and then answer the understanding concept questions were obtained an average score 95.7 after being analyzed based on the predetermined Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The specified KKM value is 80. The result show that 94.73% students passed with the very high category. Therefore, it can be state that the use of m-learning (mobile motion) is effective on students understanding concepts.

Abstract

Scientific learning can be realized with local wisdom-based learning that elaborates Biology learning materials with local wisdom in the school environment. The aim of this study was to analyze the perceptions of Biology teachers about the implementation of local wisdom-based learning on ecosystem materials. The research method was a Pre-Experimental Design approach with the type of One-Shot Case Study. The sample in this study were Biology teachers of grade 10 from three schools in Grobogan Regency.1) Biology learning devices based on local wisdom on ecosystem materials were stated to be very valid so that they could be used for research. Teachers have enthusiasm and interest in the implementation of local wisdom-based learning. The teacher's perceptions of biology learning tools based on local wisdom of ecosystem materials which were implemented in the learning process have very positive criteria. The teachers have enthusiasm for local wisdom-based biology learning to be implemented in biology learning in other materials. Teachers agree that local wisdom-based biology learning is very beneficial for the formation of students' characters and personalities. The teachers think that the integration of local wisdom in biology learning is very good even though there are technical obstacles experienced in the field. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that learning biology based on local wisdom has gained teachers’ attraction to implement in the learning process. More in-depth research is needed to define the types of local wisdom in Grobogan Regency that can be implemented in other biology learning materials.
