Abstract

PT PLN (Persero) has developed the PLN Mobile application to provide electricity services. The large number of users has resulted in various reviews regarding the strengths, weaknesses, and issues of the application. To evaluate the application's quality, sentiment analysis is conducted on user reviews. Review data is obtained through the Google-Play-Scraper API and cleaned through text preprocessing. This study utilizes the TF-IDF feature extraction method and Random Forest for classification. TF-IDF involves weighting each word in a text. This method transforms words into numerical representations, indicating both their frequency and relevance within the document's context. Random Forest is a supervised machine learning algorithm that utilizes ensemble learning which categorizes reviews into positive and negative, This study produced the best model using stemming data and TF-IDF unigram, along with a combination of hyperparameters. The n-estimator was set to 100, max_feature to log2, max_depth to unlimited (none), and entropy criterion, resulting in the highest F1-Score of up to 93.14%.

Abstract

Modifying asphalt binder materials with fiber reinforcement is one approach to improving the performance of asphalt concrete mixtures. This research aims to evaluate the effect of optimal palm fiber concentration on strengthening and improving the properties of the mixture and rutting resistance. Test specimens were made with four variations in the composition of a mixture of different palm fiber percentages (0%, 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.85) with lengths (0.4 cm, 0.6 cm, 0.8 cm, and 1.0 cm) using an optimum asphalt content of 6% to evaluate the properties of the asphalt concrete mixture based on the Marshall Test. In comparison, the rutting indicator was evaluated using a wheel tracking tool with four variations in the percentage of palm fiber to an optimal length of 0.8 cm. The results of the Marshall test research showed that palm fiber increased stability by 6%, with the highest stability at a percentage of palm fiber of 0.6% with a length of 0.8 cm 1210.45 kg, higher than the normal mixture with a stability value of 1142.59 kg, VIM value decreased by 14% compared to the normal mixture and increased the flexibility of the mixture at the optimum percentage composition of palm fiber 0.6% length 8 cm by 4%. Fibre wheel tracking test results show that adding fiber fibers increases the groove and rutting resistance of optimum fiber by 53% with a total deformation value of 0.856 mm, dynamic stability of 5727 passes/mm, and a deformation rate of 0.007/mm/minute. Palm fiber is not strong enough to withstand heat due to a mixing temperature of 150oC and a compaction temperature of 140oC, with a higher risk of fiber damage

Abstract

Social media has become a source of quick but not necessarily accurate information. Especially in social media X, which is often used to share information. This research aims to conduct sentiment analysis on posts related to natural disasters that aim to maximize assistance to victims of natural disasters. This research takes datasets from tweets on social media X, the data will be labeled into positive and negative. And then the preprocessing process will be carried out, in this study, categorization will be carried out on each tweet related to the category, then the data will be divided into training and testing. Then the Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) feature is used to assist in reducing the weight of words that often appear in the dataset, The next step involves designing a system with a focus on applying the Support Vector Machine (SVM) Polynomial Kernel algorithm which becomes a classifier which will later be used to find the best hyperline or decision boundary that divides each review into two classes, namely positive tweets and negative tweets. Then obtained with a value of Precision of 86.49%, Recall 99.21%, F1-Score 92.42%, and Accuracy of 87.01%. This research is expected to provide involvement in making a fast and effective decision for victims of natural disasters.

Abstract

The increase in the use of engine vehicles every year is directly proportional to the amount of engine oil waste produced. Used engine oil is a class of hazardous waste that is harmful to the environment. This study aims to purify the base fuel from pyrolysis of waste engine oil by comparing integrated and non-integrated pyrolysis adsorption purification methods using activated low-rank coal as an adsorbent medium. The method used in this study is Pyrolysis using activated carbon from low-rank coal that has been carbonized with a temperature of 600 ° C and activated using H3PO4-NaHCO3. Pyrolysis is carried out by adding activated carbon with a ratio of 10% (w / w) of 11 grams from the volume of base fuel samples and Pyrolysis temperature of 350°C, then carried out by a variety of methods, namely the adsorption method followed by Pyrolysis, Pyrolysis followed by adsorption, and Pyrolysis adsorption integration. From this study, the optimum value of purification was obtained in the variation of integration adsorption pyrolysis with a density of 0.7631gr / ml and a specific gravity value of 0.7639 and an API degree of 53.7318, while for viscosity value of 0.5542 cP. The results of the product analysis have entered the standard specification value of gasoline or gasoline.

Abstract

The quality of the sugar produced at a sugar factory depends on the dilute sap from the refining station process stages. The quality of the diluted liquid is influenced by the amount of impurities present. The more impurities contained in the diluted sap, the lower the rate of the diluted fluid obtained. To separate the contaminants present, process aids are needed, and one of them is flocculant. The concentration of flocculant used must be precise to maximize the separation process of sugar and impurities. The determination of flocculant addition has traditionally been based on visual observations of the dilute sap obtained. The results of the research show that the addition of flocculant that has the most influence in improving the quality of diluted sap is a flocculant concentration of 3 ppm, which has a turbidity of 28.69 NTU, pH 7, pol 10.82%, brix 12.88%, and a purity value of 84.01%.

Abstract

In general, security safe box is currently still using key combination that has some drawbacks. One of the weaknesses is the risk of lossing of the keys and forgetting the lock codes that impact at users of not being able to operate the safe box. Therefore, the researcher is designing a tool that is more practical and safe that can replace the key of security safe box. In the research,  the researcher uses the method of fingerprint and a PIN by  designing a circuit input tool using the output fingerprint sensor and keypad. For the series of processor,the researcher applies the Arduino microcontroller Uno R3 while for series output the researcher applies  three output circuit such as LCD, Buzzer, and Selenoids. Security tool safe box can only be operated by entering PIN and fingerprint which have been registered. Hence, the users do not need to save an object to operate the safe box. Based on the results of testing, this tool is able to open the safe box by inputting 5 registered  ID interchangeably as much as 25 times. The Solenoids then are able to operate when they are given voltage > 9, 5V 350 mA to 12V 800 mA.

Abstract

In the DCS SCADA practicum in the PLC laboratory at ATI Makassar Polytechnic there were connection problems between the PLC and PC, these problems could vary, including damaged cables, loose connectors, or interference with the communication port on the PC or PLC. This research aims to design and create a SCADA monitoring system using multiple PLCs based on a LAN network. In this research, 3 display modules were created that detect connection problems on 3 PLCs. Each module focuses on 1 PLC with a different IP and when there is a problem with the PLC A, B, & C connection, the LED on the PLC_S7-1200 text will flash. Then testing was carried out on the PC and PLC network connections using the PING statistics command through estimated round trip times. Next, test the network connection via accessible devices flashed on the PLC, test the tag on Kepserverex, test the Factory I/O, and test the PLC communication with the Factory I/O. Based on the results of the system testing carried out, namely testing the network connection on the PC and PLC, the round trip times on PC 1, 2, 3 showed an average of 2.4 ms, and on PLC 1, 2, 3 the average was 2.4 ms. with testing times of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 minutes. Testing network connections via flashled accessible devices functions by displaying a light indicator when the PLC is flashing, then testing tags on Kepserverex displays a table containing the tags used and shows good quality. Then the Factory I/O test displays the access name and tag used, then the HMI display module being tested runs according to the system that has been implemented, as well as testing the PLC communication with Factory I/O to connect the Factory I/O software with the PLC.

Abstract

This study proposes a method for laptop recommendation in a conversational recommender system (CRS) by integrating collaborative filtering with the Apriori algorithm. The CRS interacts with users to help them find laptops that match their preferences, allowing them to provide feedback or critiques on the recommendations. This research emphasizes the use of compound critiques, which allow users to express preferences on multiple attributes at once, leading to more personalized recommendations. The Apriori algorithm identifies frequent itemsets from these critiques, which are then used to iteratively update recommendations. Evaluation results show that the High Support (HS) strategy, which focuses on commonly preferred features, produces more efficient recommendations, with a shorter average session duration of 38.01 seconds compared to the Low Support (LS) 41.30 seconds and Random (RAND) 50.49 seconds. This approach improves the recommendation process by better aligning with user preferences, which in turn improves interaction efficiency. @font-face {font-family:"Cambria Math"; panose-1:2 4 5 3 5 4 6 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:roman; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-536869121 1107305727 33554432 0 415 0;}@font-face {font-family:Calibri; panose-1:2 15 5 2 2 2 4 3 2 4; mso-font-charset:0; mso-generic-font-family:swiss; mso-font-pitch:variable; mso-font-signature:-469750017 -1073732485 9 0 511 0;}p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {mso-style-unhide:no; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; margin:0cm; text-align:center; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:EN-US;}.MsoChpDefault {mso-style-type:export-only; mso-default-props:yes; font-size:10.0pt; mso-ansi-font-size:10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-font-kerning:0pt; mso-ligatures:none; mso-ansi-language:EN-US;}div.WordSection1 {page:WordSection1;}

Abstract

This research presents the development of an automated object sorting and picking system using a robotic arm controlled by colour-based image recognition. The system is designed to enhance efficiency and accuracy in manufacturing processes by eliminating the need for manual sorting. A Dobot Magician robotic arm, an Arduino microcontroller, a conveyor belt, a photoelectric sensor, and a camera are integrated to achieve this goal. Colour segmentation is implemented using the HSV colour space, enabling the system to accurately classify objects based on colour. Experimental results demonstrate the system's ability to successfully sort objects of three colours in a random sequence with 100% accuracy over ten trials.
