Abstract

SNI 03-6861-1-2002, states that the fine aggregate used in concrete structures should use river sand. However, the use of fine aggregate in Fakfak regency in general is still dependent on sea sand potential is quite large. The purpose of this study were: 1) determine the characteristics of sea sand in Fakfak regency as a component of the concrete mix; 2) determine the strength of concrete resulting from the use of sea sand. This research is an experimental research laboratory by means of sample testing and analysis of the characteristics of aggregates and concrete compressive test using a compression test machine. Results of testing the characteristics of fine aggregate to quarry in Fakfak regency consisting of quarry Kampung Seberang, quarry Kampung Sungai, quarry Tanjung Wagom and coarse aggregate from the quarry Kayuni can generally be used for a mixture of concrete for eligible characteristics of concrete aggregate but fine aggregate (sand) it is best to Tanjung Wagom quarry because of the fineness modulus 2.93 and included in zone 2. Compressive strength characteristics resulting from the quarry Kampung Seberang 122.84 kg/cm2 quarry Kampung Sungai 129.59 kg/cm2 and quarry Kampung Tanjung Wagom 144.27 kg/cm2 of the planned concrete quality 250 kg/cm2 or down 50.86% , quarry Kampung Sungai 48.16% and quarry Tanjung Wagom 42.29% down or strength is only reached at quarry Kampung Seberang 49.14%, quarry Kampung Sungai 51.84% and quarry Tanjung Wagom down 57.71%

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) is known as an interactivetechnology capable of projecting virtual objects into real objectsin real time. The development of AR technology today hascontributed a lot of various fields. One of AR implementation ineducation and entertainment is AR utilization in museum. ARapplication that tested in this research is AR Mobile. Testing isdone by conducting application studies and user studies. Visitorsare required to use some of the AR applications provided. Then avisitor's reaction is observed to determine the user's needs. Somemethods of this research is the method of tracking the object withthe number of markers and the method of tracking objectswithout markers. This study also discusses other studies oncontent type, visitors' impression when using AR application.From the results of application testing obtained 93% ofrespondents stated that this application is very good and simplifyand help visitors. Testing the questionnaire to 30 respondents onthe aspect of the Application Process on the Catalog with a VeryGood rating 83.35% and on marker less very good with about49.95%.

Abstract

Objectives to be achieved from the program science and technology for the Community (IbM) This is a crisis of groundwater that occur in the District Maradekaya, Makassar City can be resolved as well as long term targets is to encourage the local government of Makassar for the decision on the obligation for the people of Makassar making infiltration wells in his yard. The method will be used in these activities in the form of counseling for people in RW 03 and RW 04 about the dangers of groundwater in case of crisis, the way of making infiltration wells as well as manufacture in 5 homes in every RW (RW 03 and RW 04). Thetest results of water after infiltration wells through which rainwater is the quality of well water for the better. It is characterized by a decrease in turbidity of 27,5 %, NaCl 11,5 %, Sodium 12,3% and Chloride 11,1%.

Abstract

Gangguan frekuensi oleh sinyal dari sumber transmisi frekuensi radio lainnya saat ini sudah semakin kerap terjadi khususnya di kota Makassar. Polusi frekuensi sudah semakin meningkat sejalan dengan semakin podatnya penggunaan spektrum frekuensi radio untuk berbagai keperluan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati dan mendeteksi gangguan sinyal radio yang mempengaruhi perfomansi/kualitas sinyal radio. Spektrum frekuensi yang akan dijadikan objek pengamatan dibatasi dalam rentang frekuensi 700 MHz sampai 950 MHz. Lokasi pengamatan di kota Makassar dengan bekerjasama Kantor Balai Monitor Frekuensi Radio Kelas II Makassar di Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan.Pendeteksian sinyal radio menggunakan peralatan VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) dan SPA (Signal specrum Analyzer). Kedua peralatan tersebut membedakan perfomansi sinyal radio terhadap sumber gangguan, apakah gangguan terjadi berasal dari alam atau manusia. Hasil penelitian adalah pola sinyal yang menunjukkan perfomansi/kualitas sinyal radio akibat adanya gangguan radio dalam rentang frekuensi 800 MHz hingga 950 MHz. Pendeteksian ini dapat dimanfaatkan oleh Balai Monitor Spektrum Frekuensi Radio Kelas II wilayah Makassar untuk memprediksi berat atau ringannya gangguan yang terjadi pada gelombang radio dalam beberapa tahun mendatang sehingga dapat meminimalkan terjadinya gangguan dan menangani gangguan dengan segera. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi naskah akademik bagi Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatikan Republik Indonesia dalam membuat berbagai kebijakan dan aturan terkait dengan masalah penanggulangan Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) di Indonesia.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to determine the short circuit current when there is a fault occurred on Transmission line between Sungguminasa Sub Station and Tallasa Sub Station. PT. PLN measured that the short circuit current on this transmission line is 2.8 kA. To justify the result, symmetrical component method is applied using MATLAB. The results shows that measured value from PLN is equal with the obtained results using MATLAB. This research was conducted on 19th January 2016 at 14:13 WITA.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the absorption of sea water on Composite Materials palm frond fibers per 24 hours for 9 days and analyze the effect of immersion for 3, 6, and 9 days of the tensile strength fiber-reinforced composite material of palm fronds. The polymers used type of epoxy resin. Palm frond fibers arranged randomly, then fiber treated alkali 5% for 2 hours, and then molded with a size of 200 x 200x 5 mm with a ratio between matrix and fiber is 90:10 to press molding tool. Composite plates immersed in a container filled with sea water aquarium for 3, 6, and 9 days and every 24 hours of material in weigh, test procedures seawater absorption refers to the ASTM D 570 - 98. As well as every 3, 6, and 9 days plate removed and cut into a polymer composite beam according to the standard ASTM D638-02 (type 1). Each variable will be tested for 3 times. Based on the test results get soaking in the absorption rate reached its peak in the first day, namely 0.26% for the first specimen testing three-day, 0.5% for the second specimen testing 6 days and 0.25% for the third specimen testing nine days. Then it will go on steadily and decreases until it reaches saturation point. Where for the first specimen in the third day of absorption of 0.49%, a second specimen in the sixth day of absorption of 1.71%, and the third specimen in the esembilan absorption 0.93%. And the influence of sea water immersion tensile strength fiber Composite palm fronds have a dynamic effect on the test results before immersion up to 9 days of immersion that is power up and down. With a value of 15.468 MPa before immersion, 17.046 MPa 3 days of immersion, 15.107 MPa 6 day immersion, and 21.137 MPa 9 days of immersion.

Abstract

Environmental pollution (pollutants) can be caused by natural events or human care through uncontrolled industrial and technological activities, this can be a threat to living things including humans in the future. This phenomenon is caused by the entry of particles or chemical substances that do not exist in the natural component so that it exceeds the amount that should be. Pollution is the inclusion of substances, energy and aliens into the environment so that the quality of the environment decreases and no longer suitable allocation. Efforts to reduce or control environmental pollution that some environmental scientists and practitioners have done in a better way by the structures produced by various industries and technologies that are seen as backbones. The research installation can provide detailed information about the shape and structure of the current in the pipe (analogized as the exhaust) in the direction and the vertical velocity to air will be inhaled by the fluid of the liquid (air) as motive fluid in the opposite direction. The suction strength of the liquid against the airflow is greatly determined by the vacuum pressure in the chamber because of the effect of the working ejector that is geometrically formed so that the image can be adjusted to that achievement. The parameters used to measure performance in the design of this air-contaminating air-conditioning installation plant are composed of several variables in the ratio of changes between air velocity and liquid flow in opposite directions, vacuum compressions are formed large enough, the fluid flow capacity of the ejector, revascular and the ability to transform gas pollutants into liquid pollutants.

Abstract

The main objective of numerical simulation in thisstudies is to determine the effect of diffuser’s interior design onincreasing the diffuser augmented wind turbine (DAWT)performance by observing wind velocity increment. Numericalstudies were carried out using the computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) method through a two-dimensional steady approach withAnsys Fluent 18.2 and Ansys Workbench 18.2 software. Thepresent studies spesifically investigate the shapes of diffuser,namely flat diffuser and curved diffuser. The studies demonstratethat the curved diffuser generates stronger increment of the windvelocity than flat diffuser (at centreline), which 1.842 times thefreestream velocity, while the flat diffuser is only able to increseup to 1.742 times the freestream velocity. The curved diffusershows the highest increment of the average wind velocity alongdiffuser with the greatest increment of 78.66 % and the flatdiffuser is only able to provide average wind velocity incrementup to 44.81%. The curved interor of diffuser is able to enlarge thewake area, so the effect of the suction flow entering the diffuserbecomes stronger. Therefore, curved diffuser is better to provideDAWT performance improvements.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the content of cholesterol in Kelong shrimp that have been preserved with ice cubes. The identification of cholesterol is done using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS). The result of Chromatograms from analysis using GC-MS that has been compared to a standard cholesterol showed that shrimp Kelong which have been preserved ice cubes contain cholesterol.

Abstract

This paper aims to optimize the machinedsurface as well as to study the effect of current strength andwire speed on wire cut machining on AISI 1045 steel againstthe timing of roughness of straight gear surface. The surfaceresults analyzed are the surface roughness values obtained byconducting surface roughness testing. Variations of currentused are 3 amperes, 5 amperes, and 7 amperes, while the wirespeed used is 8mm / min, 10 mm, min, and 12 mm / min. In theprocess of wire cut machining is used a brass cutting materialwith 0.25 mm wire diameter. The results showed that thegreater the current and wire speed used then the surfaceroughness value will be lower, otherwise the smaller currentand wire speed used then the surface roughness value will behigher. The results of data analysis using ANOVA analysis,correlation, and regression method obtained optimal conditionto get low surface roughness value and fast cut time that is at 7amperes current with wire speed 8 mm / min.
