Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of exploring the level of openness and risk management abilities possessed by "X" University students in Malang City regarding the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the millennial era. Using a quantitative approach and probability sampling method, 377 respondents became research subjects. The research results show that the majority of students show a sufficient level of openness (78.26%), although their risk management towards AI tends to be high (47.5%). Further analysis revealed that openness had a significant influence on students' risk management abilities (p < 0.05). In conclusion, these findings highlight the need for a balanced approach between openness to innovative technology such as AI and awareness of the importance of risk management in dealing with its impact, especially for academic communities such as students at "X" University in Malang City.

Abstract

Adolescents in their development experience symptoms of bipolar disorder that hinder adolescent development. This study presents a critical analysis of previous research findings in the context of developing intervention strategies for adolescents with bipolar disorder symptoms. We evaluated the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy applied to a group of adolescents with active parental support. This study utilized qualitative-descriptive methods to elucidate the positive impact of the therapy in improving psychological well-being and management of bipolar symptoms. Although the findings indicated the success of the therapy, the limitations of previous research became a focal point for this follow-up study. The results showed that parents' presence and participation played an important role in designing and reinforcing the therapy intervention. Emotional and educative support from parents provides a solid foundation to accelerate the adolescent's healing process. These findings provide insight into the importance of integrating family support in designing effective cognitive-behavioral therapy strategies to manage bipolar disorder symptoms in adolescents.

Abstract

The results of the teacher's daily research show that children from broken home families often make noise during class hours, this is because the child seeks attention to others. This then prompted the author to conduct a study that focused on broken home children with the aim of conducting a case study which then examined more deeply the impact of broken home families on the moral and psychic development of grade VI elementary school students at SD N 1 Sribitan. By using quality research with a case study approach. Participants in this study the author chose based on backgrounds and behaviors that stood out while in school using purposive samples so that two students were found who stood out from five students who had the same background, namely class VI SDN 1 Sribitan, namely A.C.P and .P.D.A. The results obtained from this study are an illustration that the influence or impact of broken home families is very real in terms of children's moral and psychic development. In this study, it can be explained that the bad moral problems that participants often do are not wanting to apologize if they are wrong, making noise, and not obeying the rules that have been applied in schools.

Abstract

The path to achieving happiness in life of each individual has its own uniqueness and way. Many feel happy but there is still a sense of anxiety in their hearts, happy simply because the happiness they get is not the ultimate happiness. In Islam, the real happiness is the happiness of ma'rifatullah. One way to get it is to give alms to others in need. Happiness is achieved by abstinence from various physical pleasures. Those who have attained a high level of holiness are the ones who obtain good fortune and happiness. The research used in this study is a type of literature study research with a qualitative descriptive analysis approach. The data sources used in this study are secondary data sources. The result of this research is that to achieve true happiness, humans can establish a good relationship with the Creator, one of which is by giving alms with the intention of lillah (because of Allah) not because they want to be seen or known by others. According to religious psychology, happiness can be achieved by getting closer to Allah such as self-muhasabah, gratitude, and almsgiving.

Abstract

Emotional regulation is a way to assess, deal with, manage and express emotions in certain situations. The factor that influences emotional regulation in individuals is religiosity. A person who has religiosity involves religion in behaving and taking action, so that it has an effect on controlling his emotions. This research aims to describe religiosity and emotional regulation, as well as to see the relationship between religiosity and emotional regulation in high school students. Research respondents involved 364 students selected from five high schools in Banda Aceh City. Samples were collected using random sampling techniques with the Slovin formula, data collection used a Likert scale of religiosity and emotional regulation. The research results show that the correlation coefficient (r) between the variables studied is 0.721, which indicates a strong correlation between religiosity and emotional regulation. This finding can be interpreted as the higher the religiosity, the higher the student's emotional regulation and vice versa.

Abstract

Hypertension is a life-threatening disease often referred to as a silent killer. Dhikr relaxation is one method aimed at providing both physical and psychological tranquility to hypertensive patients. Among the psychological symptoms experienced by hypertensive patients is anxiety. This motivated the researchers to provide an intervention in the form of dhikr relaxation to alleviate the anxiety in middle-aged hypertensive patients. A total of 20 hypertensive patients participated in this study, divided into two groups: an experimental group consisting of 10 individuals and a control group consisting of 10 individuals. It also applied a pretest-posttest control group design, with measurements taken three times (pretest, posttest, and follow-up). The anxiety measurement tool used in this study was the GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7) developed by Spitzer et al. Then the researchers conducted Mann-Whitney analysis. The results of the study indicated that dhikr relaxation is effective in reducing anxiety in the middle-aged hypertensive patients.

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine the influence of pathological narcissism, indecent dressing, and learned helplessness on the experience of sexual harassment among students of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria. The study adopted the correlational research design and was guided by three research questions. It involved 284 undergraduate students between the ages of 16 and 21 who were selected through stratified random sampling using the stratum of faculty. Pathological Narcissism Inventory (α=.94), The Learned Helplessness Scale (α=.91) Indecent Dressing Measure (α=.90) and Sexual Harassment Scale (α=.88) were used as measuring instruments. The data were analysed using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation and multiple regression. The results showed that narcissistic (r(284)= .372; p<1), narcissistic vulnerability (r(284)= .339; p<1), indecent dressing(r(284)= .408 p<1), and learned helplessness (r(284)= .314 p<1) positively correlated with sexual harassment. The three main predictor variables together accounted for 31% of the total variance in sexual harassment (F(4,283) = 32.858; R= .566; R2= .320; Adj. R2=.310; P<.01). In addition, the three independent variables individualistically contributed to predicting sexual harassment: learned helplessness (β=.079; t=3.036, P<.01); indecent dressing (β=.160; t=6.767, P<.01); narcissistic grandiosity (β= .184; t= 4.329, P<.01); and narcissistic vulnerability (β=.063; t=2.068, P<.05). The three independent variables explored in this study are sufficiently forceful to influence sexual harassment among undergraduates. Therefore, the study concluded that sexual harassment among undergraduates can be reduced when behaviour change agents take into account the variables considered in this study while diagnosing and preferring solutions to vulnerability to sexual harassment on campuses.

Abstract

Early adulthood will experience stress, insecurity, worry, and social pressure regarding life goals, including students, which is called a quarter-life crisis. One factor that affects the quarter-life crisis is hope. This study aims to analyze the relationship of hope with the quarter-life crisis in early adulthood. This study uses a quantitative approach. The measuring instrument in this study uses a quarter-life crisis scale based on Robbins and Wilner's theory and a hope scale based on Snyder's theory. The sample amounted to 330 early adult students. Sampling using non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling technique. The hypothesis of this study was tested using Pearson's product-moment correlation. The study results showed a correlation coefficient (rxy = -0.249) with p = 0.000 (p ˂ 0.05), namely there is a very significant negative relationship between hope and quarter-life crisis in early adulthood, so the hypothesis is accepted. The higher the level of hope in individuals, the lower the level of quarter-life crisis experienced, and vice versa, the lower the hope, the higher the quarter-life crisis experienced by individuals.
