Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of increased built-up land on land subsidence in North Jakarta City in 2014-2022. This research uses a quantitative approach and descriptive research type. This research uses remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) processing techniques using Landsat 8 and Sentinel 1 image data in 2014 and 2022, processing is done through the Google Earth Engine platform. In the variable increase in built-up land, the analysis was carried out using the supervised classification method into 2 classifications, namely built-up land and non-built-up land. And to get the value of land subsidence, DInSAR (Different Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) analysis was conducted. Then to determine the value of the influence between the variable increase in built-up land (x) and the variable land subsidence (y), a simple linear regression analysis was carried out with the equation Y = 6.413 + 13.178X resulting in a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. The R Square value is 0.466 which means that there is an effect of increasing built-up land on land subsidence by 46.6%. While the tcount value obtained a result of 9.239 and the ttable value of 0.1966 and means tcount> ttable. So it can be concluded that Ha is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is a significant influence between the increase in built-up land on land subsidence in North Jakarta City in 2014-2022

Abstract

One of the most important activities in landslide risk management is mapping the level of landslide threat. The objective of this research was to map the level of landslide threat in the Ransiki District. This study was carried out in the Ransiki District, South Manokwari Regency, West Papua Province from May to November 2021. Lithology, Geological Structure, Rainfall, Land Use, and Slope were the parameters used in this study. The stack plate method was used, and the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) method was used for parameter weighting. This AHP was used to calculate the weight of each parameter class and landslide disaster parameter. The landslide threat level was mapped using ArcGIS 10.1 software. According to the research findings, there were three levels of landslide threat in the Ransiki District, South Manokwari Regency. The low threat level covered 6,792.06 hectares, or 37.52% of total area of Ransiki District. The Ransiki District has a moderate threat level covered 6,741.33 hectares, or 37.24% of its total area. Ransiki District had a high threat level of 4,567.85 hectares, or approximately 25.24% of its total area. This study provided suggestion that in areas with moderate and high threat levels, more research can be conducted to reduce the impact and losses caused by landslides

Abstract

The construction of a dam generally aims to mitigate against floods, management of water availability, irrigation for agriculture, and also one of the tourism attractions. The construction of the dam has implications for land use change around the dam area which causes changes in land cover. The Gondang Dam is one of the government programs that began to be built in 2014 where the rehabilitation of the irrigation channels was completed in 2019 and has reached the maximum storage capacity in 2020. This study aims to analyze changes in agricultural and plantation land cover before and after the Gondang Dam was built using Imagery Satellites sourced from Google Earth are multitemporal with acquisition years 2013 and 2022. Land cover data was obtained through the on screen digitization method by producing 12 land cover classes and analyzed using the overlay method using a Geographic Information System (GIS). The overall accuracy test results for land cover data for 2013 and 2022 are 94.33% and 96.83%, respectively. The biggest change in land cover occurred in the plantation land cover class which experienced a decrease in area of 29.72 Ha

Abstract

The construction of the Trans Java toll road has brought development to the areas it passes through. As happened in Madyopuro Village, Malang City, which was transformed into a satellite city due to the construction of the toll exit, some unoccupied land in this area began to be looked at by developers to build settlements known from the 2019 image. In addition, supporting facilities in the form of arterial roads were widened so that access to the eastern region of the village became easy. This settlement development factor is an indicator of population growth. The purpose of this research is to analyze changes in the number of settlements with Google Earth Data. The method used is snapshoot analysis through Google Earth Pro image data which is available in full and easily accessible in a multi-spatial and multi-temporal manner. The results are used to predict the amount of population growth. Images from Google Earth are rectified then the amount of built-up land in the form of settlements is calculated through the appearance of the roof. Furthermore, the number of each building is correlated with the population of each building based on SNI-03-1733-2004. The results of this calculation were compared with population data for that year using data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results of this research show that the population based on predictions in 2015 amounted to 18,604 people, in BPS data 19,566 people. For 2019, predictions with this method show a number of 20,020 people and BPS data shows 20,067 people. The prediction in 2023 is 21,544 people. Through image data from Google Earth Pro, the population predicted by this method is close to data from BPS in 2015 and 2019 with a difference. The conclusion is that data on changes in house buildings from Google Earth can be used to predict the number of people affected by toll road construction.

Abstract

Topographic and climatic factors support robusta coffee growing well in Indonesia. However, data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that robusta coffee production has decreased over the last decade (2010–2019), especially in the Pucaksari Village area, Bali Province. This research aims to evaluate the suitability of robusta coffee land for each land unit in Pucaksari Village. This method applies the method of interpreting land use, slope, and soil type for further analysis using land evaluation methods and geographic information systems (GIS). The research results show that the land units K1L2Be and K1L3Be with slope characteristics between 8–30%, altitudes of 400–900 meters above sea level, and Eutric Cambisol soil types are included in the appropriate class (S2) for robusta coffee, with an area of 94,7% of the total area of the study area. Meanwhile, 5.23% of the land units K1L4Be area with a slope >30% is in the marginal class (S3). Land units K4L4Be with a slope >30% and a height of 0-300 meters above sea level has an unsuitable class (N). Robusta coffee production in Pucaksari Village can be increased by maintaining the quality of land in the S2 area and improving the quality of S3 land. For category (N) areas, a special study is needed as a reference or basis for planning the development of coffee plantations and mapping the development potential of other areas such as tropical rainforest tourism and agriculture.

Abstract

Prambanan Temple was built on an unstable soil structure—a layer of sandy soil with medium density. While on the west side, there are faults in the Opak River which could affect the stability of Prambanan Temple. Due to those situations, periodic monitoring of geometric aspects is necessary. This research has succeeded in defining X, Y, Z and φ, λ, h coordinates of Monitoring Points based on GPS observations which was post-processed using GAMIT/GLOBK software. The orthometric height (H) of all Monitoring Points had been obtained from the height difference survey tied to the TTG-852 reference point and calculated using the least square adjustment method. The position of Prambanan Temple was obtained by measuring the reflector mounted on the body of the temple using resection method. The results could be used as reference points in monitoring deformation in the following years.
