This may include articles that report results of quantitative or qualitative research studies. Conceptual Idea, publishes articles conceptually relevant to advancing the practice of music and learning, present theories of music, models, or philosophical position, etc. Articles may draw upon theory/or material developed in educational practice that recognize and address a wide range of pedagogical approach that would interest members from a variety of countries and teaching setting, including activities and art materials to help internationalize art curricula.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengungkapkan tentang (1). Struktur musik dalam kesenian Krumpyung (2) Alasan masyarakat Desa Langgar mengadakan upacara ritual(3) Fungsi musik dalam upacara ritual kesenian Krumpyung yang berkembang di Kabupaten Purbalingga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data-data mengenai fungsi musik dan struktur dalan kesenian Krumpyung pada acara ritual ini bersumber dari para sesepuh adat pelaku ritual, tokoh masyarakat, para seniman kesenian krumpyung , dan masyarakat Desa Langgar Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode obsrvasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen serta analisis data meliputi penyajian data, reduksi data dan pengambilan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Struktur penyajian upacara ritual dengan menggunakan kesenian Krumpyung , umumnya menggunakan tiga babak/ bagian terdiri dari Upacara Ritual dengan menyajikan gending – gending yang diinginkan oleh yang mbahu reksa daerah setempat, sajian gendhing - gendhing hiburan dalam bentuk irama campur sari, dangdut dan jaipongan, dan sajian dalam bentuk badhudan atau lawakan.  Kesenian Krumpyung sebagai fungsi upacara ritual ruwat bumi didalamnya selalu  ada Gending Sekar Gadung. Gending ini disajikan sebagai  bentuk penghormatan kepada para leluhur pendiri desa dimana diselenggarakan upacara ritual. Selain itu , kesenian krumpyung berfungsi  sebagai musik pengiring pada pertunjukan tari lenggeran. Fungsi Sosial kesenian krumpyung adalah sebagi mata pencaharian bagi para seniman sekaligus sebagai  sarana pengembangan bakat para seniman dalam berkreasi.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional yang menggunakan lagu di Indonesia kini mulai mengalami krisis eksistensi padahal di dalamnya berisi muatan kebijaksanaan lokal yang penuh makna dan nuansa pendidikan anak, namun di kabupaten kendal permainan tersebut masih eksis dan di mainkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsiskan bagaimana jenis dan bentuk permainan tradisional yang menggunakan lagu di kabupaten kendal serta mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan bagaimana aspek budaya yang terkandung di dalamnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa pengamatan, wawancara, dan studi pustaka.Analisa data menggunakan teknik triangulasi data dengan model etnografi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga jenis dan bentuk permainan tradisional yang menggunakan lagu yang masih eksis dan dimainkan yaitu cublak – cublak suweng, dan jamuran,   berdasarkan anilisi budaya terdapat aspek nilai – nilai budaya yang  penuh dengan pesan pendidikan, kerakyatan, religi dan perjuangan. Aspek budaya inilah  yang membuat permainan tradisional yang menggunakan lagu bermakna dalam kehidupan masyarakat kabupaten Kendal.

Abstract

Dangdut Koplo merupakan sebuah kesenian yang berasal dari masyarakat dengan geo-kultur tertentu, yakni Pantura dan Jawa Timur. Namun demikian, dangdut koplo tetap merupakan bagian dari genre musik dangdut secara umum. Perkembangan dangdut koplo semakin terejwantahkan jika bertolak dari konstelasi yang terjadi belakangan. Hal ini turut terejawantahkan dengan masifnya genre ini di televisi. Namun di awal perkembangannya, genre ini tidak terlalu mulus, terlebih ketika Inul Daratista naik kelas dari panggung hajatan ke panggung televisi. Hal ini turut merubah kiblat dangdut ala Rhoma menjadi dangdut koplo. Naiknya intensitas atensi masyarakat akan dangdut koplo telah menjadi lonjakan besar bagi masyarakat pelakunya. Dangdut koplo seakan menjadi selera bersama, selera lokal yang menasional. Namun yang menjadi persoalan adalah eksploitasi dangdut koplo mulai tidak wajar. Singkat kata, artikel ini akan menilik kembali persoalan selera dan estetika lokal yang menasional. Proses analisis yang didapat bahwa estetika dangdut koplo turut dikonstruksi kembali oleh televisi

Abstract

Pene;litian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana Pembinaan Musik Gambang Kromong Untuk Seni Pertunjukan Wisata Budaya Di Perkampungan Budaya Betawi Setu Babakan Srengseng Sawah Jakarta Selatan.  Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif sebab menghasilkan data deskriftif yang memaparkan data kata-kata dan kegiatan yang diamati sesuai fakta yang akurat secara sistematis. Data deskriftif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang dapat diamati. Analisis dilakukan dengan model interaktif dari Miles dan Guberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Perkampungan Budaya Betawi dibangun oleh Pemda DKI atas usulan masyarakat betawi yang digagas oleh para tokoh-tokoh yang peduli pada seni budya mulai dari budayawan, seniman, dan tokoh masyarakat Betawi yang mempunyai multi fungsi yaitu sebagai permukiman, pembinaan dan pelestarian seni budaya, dan tempat sarana wisata. Ada beberapa Kesenian Betawi yang dibina di Perkampungan Budaya Betawi seperti : seni musiK tradisi, seni tari, dan penca silat. Kegiatan pembinaan musik gambang kromong ditempat Perkampungan Budaya Betawi ini adalah salah satu usaha pemerintah dan masyarakat DKI Jakarta yang sangat baik. Abstract

The choir at SMP Negeri 1 Kudus is one of the extracurricular activities engaged in music. The obstacle faced by the choir members of SMP Negeri 1 Kudus is notation reading. The application of solfeggio ear training method is used by the instructors as a choir learning method in SMP Negeri 1 Kudus. The purpose of writing this study is to train the sensitivity of choir members in guessing the tone and reading the notation. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. Extracurricular teachers use steps in applying the method of solfeggio ear training on choir learning. The first step is to observe the members and give the song material. The second step, the instructors use imitating method (imitation) by writing song notation and applying it. The final step is to try by singing and changing the basic tone to train the member's sensitivity in guessing the tone.

Abstract

The existence of Al-Madais' terbangan music group in Pladen Village cannot be separated from the motivation of its members to preserve the terbangan music as a means of da'wah and worship. Despite the limited time, facilities, and infrastructure as well as knowledge and skills, the group still strives to preserve Islamic culture amid the fast growth of the modern era. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe the existence of Al-Madais' terbangan music arts. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique was carried out by reducing, presenting, and verifying data. The results of the study indicate that the existence of the Al-Madais terbangan music group, in terms of the adopted strategy, one of which is good management. Then in terms of consistency, it is carried out with the existence of an organizational structure, regeneration process, and mundane rehearsal. The innovation is carried out by imagination and creativity without leaving its cohesiveness and characteristics. The acknowledgment of the Al-Madais existence is proved by performing at various events and support from the government.

Abstract

Tegalan music is typical music of Tegal regency which lyrics use Ngapak language. A piece of music group that still exists until now is Joend Pro. Joend Pro's musical group was formed in the year 2009 by Imam Joend. Joend Pro's musical group is on the basis of the consciousness of Imam Joend, about the importance of the existence of the art area of the music as a characteristic of the regional arts of Tegal Regency. This research aims to know, describe, and analyze the existence of the Tegalan Pro music Group in Slawi Tegal Regency. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods with data collection through observations, interviews, documentation and library studies. The result of the study was to demonstrate the existence of the Joend Pro band. Joend Pro often conducts self-performing, provit performances, as well as entertainment invitations at government events. Joend Pro's musical group's existence is still acknowledged to exist until now by society. This is evidenced by the community's performance offerings to fill entertainment at weddings and other events.

Abstract

The Learning strategies are learning components that must be applied in learning activities by teacher, including learning of karawitan extracurricular in High School 01 Pemalang. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning strategies used by teachers in karawitan extracurricular of High School 01 Pemalang, uses descriptive qualitative study methods. The data collection is obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation technique. While validity of the data was tested using source triangulation techniques, then data analysed by interactive analysis technique. The results showed that the learning strategies in karawitan extracurricular of High School 01 Pemalang was using a teacher-centered, that the teacher becomes the center of the learning which determines the material, methods, dan learning objectives. Then, the syntax (stage) of learning strategies are orientation, presentation, guided training, structured training, independent training, independet activities, and evalution.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the traditional music Balo-balo group of Kampung Tirang in Tegal City. The research approach used by the author is descriptive qualitative. The research location is in Murareja Village, West Tegal District, Tegal City. Data collection techniques in this case use observation, interview and documentation techniques. The source of the data that is the focus of the author is the chairman and personnel of the Tirang Village group, who are then analyzed using analysis techniques according to the basic framework that has been prepared. The results of the study indicate that the traditional Balo-balo music of the Kampung Tirang group is an art that uses a pitchbled membranophone musical instrument, namely kencer or tambourine, main drum, kempling, kempyang and gong tambourine. In the lyrics, the group uses the original Tegal language or deles dialect, for example in the song entitled "Balo-balo Pitutur". The song is a three part song. Whereas in the main elements of the music, the Kampung Tirang group emphasizes the rhythmic patterns of the game which are very visible but still form harmony. In the main melody, the song Balo-balo Pitutur uses the Tegalan style with elements of pentatonic scales. The songs of the Kampung Tirang group are packaged with a humorous or joking concept, so that the expression in the music is very active, energetic but still structured, even though the song structure does not use a symmetrical scheme in general, but uses a three-part symmetric theory.

Abstract

Theater is a performing art which in its performance brings a story that is delivered through acting on the stage. Theater performance is inseparable from music as supporting atmosphere. Based on that, this research aims to know the types of illustration music composition in “Kembang” Theater group from SMA N 1 Brebes. This study used qualitative method. To obtain the accurate data, this study used observation, interview, and documentation. This research consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The result shows that “Kembang” Theater always makes music composition that is suitable with the theme of the script on their performances. Illustrated music is always played live on stage with consideration of getting maximum results in every scene played. There are various types of illustration music composition in “Kembang” Theater group. They are opening music, happy music, wistful music, tense music, horror music, romantic music, comical music, sampakan music/convey music, transition music, and closing music. The types of script are divided into two types. There are tragedy script and comedy script. Not all types of Illustration music composition exists in all types of script. For example, sampakan music and comical music that only exist in comedy script.
