The problem in this research is how are the general conversational implicatures and the specific conversational implicatures found in the conversations between sellers and buyers at the Tuesday Market, Cintamanis Baru Village, Air Kumbang sub-district, Banyuasin. This study aims to describe, analyze and conclude the conversations between sellers and buyers at Tuesday Market, Cintamanis Baru Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin (pragmatic study). This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Sources of data in this study are conversations between sellers and buyers at vegetable traders, fish traders, food traders, kitchen equipment traders and fruit traders, while the buyers are housewives in the Pasar Selasa area, Cintamanis Baru Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin. The technique of collecting data in this study used observation techniques, recording techniques, listening techniques, and recording techniques. The results of this study are expected to be useful for other research. From the results of the study, it shows that there are 2 kinds of conversational implicatures between sellers and buyers at Pasar Selasa, Cintamanis Baru Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin (Pragmatic Studies), namely: (a) General Conversation Impliacture Analysis. (b) Special Conversational Implicature Analysis

Salah satu hambatan penerjemahan adalah ketika terdapat unsur-unsur budaya seperti idiom. Saat itulah diperlukan teknik dan metode penerjemahan untuk mengatasi hambatan pada penerjemahan idiom. Terkait dengan hal tersebut, dalam penelitian ini ditemukan beberapa teknik dan metode yang terlihat pada hasil terjemahan idiom berbahasa Korea dalam webtoon “Touch Touch You”. Data yang berupa idiom-idiom dalam webtoon tersebut diidentifikasi teknik dan metode penerjemahannya berdasarkan teori teknik penerjemahan oleh Molina dan Albir (2002) dan metode penerjemahan oleh Newmark (1988). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah teknik padanan lazim sebesar 66,7%, sedangkan metode yang mendominasi adalah metode yang berorientasi pada bahasa sasaran. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerjemah webtoon tersebut cenderung lebih mengutamakan pesan di dalam idiom Korea agar mudah dipahami para pembaca Indonesia. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, orientasi penerjemahan idiom-idiom dalam webtoon ini tetap mempertahankan konteks budaya Korea sehingga hasil penerjemahan yang terlihat tetap alami bagi pembaca Indonesia. Akan tetapi, meski penerjemah sudah menggunakan padanan yang lazim, hal tersebut tidak menjamin pesan yang terkandung dalam idiom dapat tersampaikan dengan benar karena terkadang terdapat hambatan pemahaman budaya maupun konteks oleh penerjemah.

This research is entitled Structure of Humility Poetry and Be The Best Of Whatever You Are: A Study of Comparative Literature. The purpose of this study is to describe the comparison of the physical structure and inner structure of the poem Humility and Be The Best Of Whatever You Are. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques documentation on the two poems. The results of the study indicate that there are similarities and differences in the physical structure and inner structure of the two poems. Similarities in physical structure are found in typography, enjabement, rhyme and rhythm, language style, concrete words, and imagery. The similarity of the inner structure is found in the theme, tone, and atmosphere. Meanwhile, the differences in the physical structure are found in the stanzas and lines, punctuation, and diction used. Furthermore, the difference in the inner structure is in the mandate

High Order Thinking Skills have a major influence on the pupils because they must be able to analyze, evaluate, and create their knowledge appropriately. Furthermore, Bloom’s taxonomy verbs usually are attached in the lesson objectives of the English textbook. They appear to indicate and to determine what pupils have to achieve by the end of the lesson. This research purposes to explore the integration of HOTS in the lesson objectives of the English textbook which is being used by second graders of elementary school at SDN Pegangsaan Dua 07 Pagi. This research employed content analysis which refers to document analysis and the data came from the English textbook entitled “I Love Jakarta’ by Tiga Serangkai for second graders. It was analyzed by employing Anderson and Krathwohl’s taxonomy descriptors. The result revealed that the integration of high order thinking skill in English textbook “I Love Jakarta” for second graders is limited. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of various familiar languages in code switching events in the Putri 'Aisyiyah Dau Orphanage. This research is a qualitative research. The approach used in this research is a descriptive approach. The source of the research data is in the form of conversations between students and students, students with caregivers, and caregivers with caregivers in private audio recordings in the Putri 'Aisyiyah Dau Orphanage. The data in this study are excerpts from conversations between students and students, students with caregivers, and caregivers with caregivers that contain variations of familiar language and code switching models. The data collection techniques in this study were: 1) Recording conversations in the Putri 'Aisyiyah Dau Orphanage, 2) Making transcriptions of data from conversations in the Putri 'Aisyiyah Dau Orphanage, 3) Grouping the findings according to indicators. Calls for more holistic research, especially ones that deal with English teaching and learning have increased in recent years. Through critical literature review, this study examines Li Yang’s crazy English, as a trend of English teaching in China. More specifically, it aims to discuss whether Li Yang’s crazy English is one of the “designer” methods and will produce proficient English speakers by proposing two research questions: (1) what is the nature of the “designer” methods? and (2) what specific strategies and what approach to foreign language teaching have the potential to improve learners’ communicative competence in Li Yang’s teaching method? The data have been analyzed and it is found that Li Yang’s crazy English can be categorized as one of the “designers” methods, which is, Total Physical Response (TPR) and failed to build learners’ communicative competence as the ultimate goal of foreign language teaching. The study recommends, therefore, the use of communicative approach in English teaching and learning processes to produce proficient English speakers

This study discusses the production of transitive verbs, types of transitive verbs, the role of transitive verbs, and their grammatical meanings found in the horror thread on the Twitter account @darjofess. The horror thread that will be analyzed is entitled “An Strange Experience on the South Beach of Malang” which was uploaded on April 19, 2022. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research and literature study. The data collection technique in this study was a read-note technique, and documentation in the form of screenshots which were then listened to intensively. The aims of this study are: 1) To find out the types of transitive verbs in the object of study in the form of a horror thread on Twitter and social media; 2) Knowing the type of transitive verb role in the object of study in the form of a horror thread on Twitter social media. The results of this study indicate there are 27 transitive verbs dominated by affix composition (meN-), that is mem-, meng-, meny-, men-, me-; 17 monotransitive verbs and 10 dwitransitive verbs are found, the role of predicate function filler in transitive verbs which is found entirely is the role of action

This research was intended to explain the figurative language on the collection of poems entitled Cinta dan Kisah-kisah yang Sulit written by Gita Romadhona. The figurative languages in group of poem described the feeling of the writer and used the aesthetics and meaningful figurative languages. This research was qualitative descriptive. The research data were in the form of dictions, phrases, and lyrics that showed figurative language. The resource of the data was the collection of poems entitled Cinta dan Kisah-kisah yang Sulit written by Gita Romadhona. The instruments of the data were the researcher herself and supported by the table of the data collection. The technique of the data collection was reading and marking the data that contained figurative language on the collection of poems that has been researched. The analysing data included continuously reading, collecting the data, coding, describing the data and writing the conclusion. The testing technique of the data validity was the enhancement diligence technique. Based on the results of the research, it was found about simile figurative languages, personifications, allegories, cynics, epics, metonymies, and metaphors. The figurative languages used were the expressions of the writer itself.

The purpose of this article is to identify grammatical and lexical forms of cohesion in the discourse in the april 2022 issue of the kompas.com site's online news. This article uses a descriptive qualitative method with a text analysis type of research. Data collection techniques are carried out by recording words, phrases, clauses and sentences that have grammatical and lexical cohesion forms. Based on data analysis obtained in the form of grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion, namely efficiency, substitution, demonstrative, comparative, ellipsis, and conjunction. while in lexical cohesion, namely repetition, synonymy, antonymy, collocation, and hyponymy. The total of the total data found amounted to 32. Grammatical cohesion data totaled 19 data, with details: persona reference 3 data, demonstrative 4 data, comparative 1 data, substitution 4 data, ellipsis 2 data, and conjunction 5 data. Meanwhile, the lexical cohesion data totaled 13 data with details: reps 4 data, synonymy 2 data, antonymy 3 data, collocation 1 data, and hyponymy 3 data.

This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of the Indonesian to Mandarin translation of a web page from the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing. The Nababan translation quality evaluation methodology, which was used in this study, divides translation product quality into three categories: accuracy, acceptability, and readability. This study has two objectives: 1) to analyze the level of accuracy, acceptability and readability of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing's website and 2) to describe the quality of the translation of the Indonesian Embassy's website in Beijing. The text, which was broken up into 37 pieces of data, was sent to a competent rater to evaluate. The results revealed that the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing's website translation was of lower accuracy, acceptable quality, and had a moderate degree of readability, scoring an overall 2.48 out of 3 for correctness, acceptability, and readability. Although there are certain terms in the target text that require more than one reading to fully get the meaning, the target text is widely accepted and fairly simple for readers who are native speakers of it. It can be concluded that the content of the source text is not conveyed accurately to the target text
