Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture develops the Independent Curriculum (Which previously called as curriculum prototype) as a learning recovery effort in the midst of conditions that are expected to improve. Learning recovery is carried out to overcome the learning loss experienced by students during the pandemic. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the independent curriculum had been properly implemented at SMP Negeri 2 Batang. This study uses qualitative methods and research techniques in the form of interviews with teachers women lesson language Indonesia Of Junior High School Negeri 2 Batang as well as field studies or field research. Project strengthening profile student Pancasila has been implemented with the theme of Local Wisdom in the form of exploring herbal ingredients, all things in the Tiban market, traces of ancestral lands, and old school culinary delights. So, from this study it can be concluded that SMP Negeri 2 Batang has implemented independent curriculum-based learning and has developed and implemented projects to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Culture

Abstract

This study examines the concept of self-maturity in the metaphor on the Riuh album created by Feby Putri by utilizing a qualitative approach using literature study techniques. The researcher focuses on the metaphors in Riuh's album through song lyrics which consist of ten songs. The data in this study is descriptive data that describes the concept of self-maturity in the metaphor of the song lyrics on the album 'Riuh'. The data source for this research is the verses in the song lyrics on the album 'Riuh'. The findings are 1) the researcher only took 4 different songs as research material, 2) there were 12 metaphorical data showing self-maturity in the lyrical verses studied

Abstract

ABSTRACT The film that will be studied in this research is "Pulang" by Azhar Kinoi Lubis. The film, produced by KlikFilm Productions, RK23 and Canary studios, premiered on April 2, 2022. Carrying the genre of Indonesian family drama. The analysis in this study was conducted to describe the symbols in the film Pulang and identify the form of meaning contained in it, starting from the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth. The method used in this research is Content Analysis using Rolan Barthes' semiotic analysis theory. This study uses descriptive qualitative research to solve 3 main problems, including: (1) identifying the meaning of denotation, (2) identifying the meaning of connotation, (3) outlining the meaning of myth in the cinema entitled Pulang by director Azhar Kinoi Lubis. This research concludes that the denotative meaning in this film is about the amount of love that parents have for their children, the connotative meaning of each conflict that arises as a result of their respective egos, and the myth of going home to hometown is not only about going home to celebrate a meeting, but also about going home to celebrate a meeting. Abstract

Literature is divided into two parts, namely fiction and non-fiction. Literature is not only studied within the scope of school, but there are those who study it outside the school class. One of them is extracurricular activities. The literature referred to in this extracurricular activity is fictional literature such as choirs, songs and plays. The results of previous studies state that literature such as music and poetry can improve the quality of a person's language, and not only improve language, literature can also provide space for us to express. The purpose and reason for the researcher to raise and examine this title is to provide an overview of how literature is applied in the extracurricular student conversation club and to find out what problems hinder the application of literature in the extracurricular. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The objects of this research are coaches and extracurricular members of the 2022-2023 student conversation club with details of 1 coach and 3 members. The results of the study stated that the students' conversation club extracurricular activities had a good impact on improving students' language skills, especially in English.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the pictorial word inductive model on increasing knowledge of basic Sundanese vocabulary in class VII-F students of SMP Negeri 1 Pangandaran in the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used was a quasi experiment with the one-group pretest and posttest research design. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class VII-F. Before being given the treatment the average pretest score was 39.9 and the posttest score was 84.06. The calculation results obtained that there is a significant difference between the pretest average and posttest average with tcount > ttable, namely 25.63 > 2.45. Based on the results of the analysis that has been obtained, the average number of students' pretest and posttest results in percentage, namely from 39.97% increased to 84.06%. So using the pictorial word inductive model can increase knowledge of the basic Sundanese vocabulary in 2023 by 44.09%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student perceptions of the implementation of online lectures in the Indonesian language course at Amikom University, Yogyakarta. The results of the study show that most students have a positive perception of the implementation of online lectures in Indonesian courses. This perception is measured from three aspects, including aspects of the lecture process, aspects of lecturer competence, and aspects of facilities. In the aspect of the lecture process, most students gave a positive perception of the online lecture process. Students think that online lectures can train for independent learning and save on transportation costs. In terms of lecturer competence, most students agree that lecturers are competent so that online lectures can run smoothly. Meanwhile the aspect of facilities, some students stated that facilities in the form of internet networks could be an obstacle in online lectures. However, students always get positive support from parents in online lectures

Abstract

This study discusses the advantages and optimization of the drill method in the memorization process for mastery of Mandarin. The drill method that does not require additional media, and only relies on the five human senses is an advantage that deserves to be maximized. This study aims to offer ten elements that can encourage better results in the process of memorizing Mandarin with the drill method. By using qualitative research methods, elements, such as, relying on continuity, familiarizing with Mandarin language culture, determining the appropriate mindset for improving mastery of Mandarin memorization with the dril method, are a summary of the results in the elements offered and in the discussion will be presented with in-depth elaboration.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out the types of language styles and identify the dominant style of language used by Merry Riana in her selected motivational speech videos as a motivator. The data of this study were taken from Merry Riana’s YouTube Channel and the researchers chose 3 motivational speech videos in the "SPOKEN WORD" playlist. In analyzing the data, the researchers used descriptive qualitative method. The researchers used the theory proposed by Martin Joss (1967) to identify the types of language styles. According to Martin Joss (1967), there are five language styles: frozen style, formal style, casual style, consultative style, and intimate style. The researchers found that in Merry Riana’s motivational speech used three language styles from five language styles proposed by Martin Joss. There were 64 formal styles, 42 casual styles, and 4 intimate styles from the 117 sentences uttered by the speaker in the selected video. The most dominant style of language found in this study was the formal style.

Abstract

Literary works always provide moral messages related to human traits, fighting for human rights and dignity. This analysis aims to describe the moral values ​​in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye. The data source for this analysis is the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye with a total of 327 pages which will be published in 2022. The form of the data from this analysis is in the form of sentence excerpts in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye which are related to moral values. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The approach taken in this analysis uses a moral approach. The results of the analysis are in the form of issues regarding human moral values ​​in the novel Sesuk by Tere Liye in the form of human relations with their God, human relations with themselves, human relations with other human beings

Abstract

This study aimed at examining the text forms and the text genres in the module English for Beginners which was used as a learning media at Language Consultant or English Foundation in Denpasar. This study used Qualitative research. The method of collecting data that is documentation and observation methods by note-taking technique. Then, the analysis which used was content analysis. The result of this study used informal method by words and sentences interpretatively. The result showed that consist of 77 (seventy-seven) text forms in the form of 53 (fifty-three) dialogue texts and 34 (thirty-four) monologue texts. Then the genre of text which appeared in this module is that 22 (twenty-two) descriptive genres and 14 (fourteen) narrative genres. The genre criteria appeared is that social function and linguistic reality which already appropriated with the criteria, however the generic structure had not fulfilled the structure criteria yet generally and tended to the structure were made in short paragraph so as the comprehension of the text were not incomplete
