Abstract

This study aims to analyze the intrinsic elements of the short story contained in the book of grade III elementary school students. In carrying out this research, a qualitative method was used to adapt the theory of analysis. The object of research is the intrinsic elements that make up the short story entitled The Sincere Apple Tree, The Story of Ants and Pigeons, Making and Caring for Hanging Plants, and The Mouse Deer and Crocodiles. The source of the data is in the theme book 2 Loving Plants and Animals. The research data collection uses the technique of data reduction stages, data presentation and conclusion. While in analyzing the data using the descriptive method of analysis. Based on data analysis, it can be described the intrinsic elements that make up the short stories, namely the theme, plot, characters, setting, and message. The results showed that all the short stories in the student books were in accordance with the intrinsic elements.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the intent and meaning of a speech act in the marriage proposal procession in Soppeng district. This study is a qualitative type of data source in this study in the form of recordings of conversational application processions from marriage in Soppeng district and will be analyzed into speech acts in general. The data collection technique used is the recording and note-taking technique, by listening repeatedly to the results of a recording of the conversations of the two parties in the marriage proposal procession. The results in this study confirmed that, there were 24 different speech acts which were classified as locutionary, illocutionary, perlocutionary speech acts which were analyzed by the researcher. The results showed that 11 were classified as locutionary speech acts, 6 were classified as illocutionary speech acts, and 7 were classified as perlocutionary speech acts.

Abstract

The current learning follows the pandemic situation that hit Indonesia. Any activity is required to follow the health protocol. The purpose of this study is to maximize the implementation of learning by using information and communication technology media in learning and to find the effect of using information and communication technology learning media on learning outcomes. Quantitative research approach, the type of experiment with a quasi-experimental design. This research is located at SDN KIP Maccini with a population of fourth grade students for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, so the sample was 20 students. Data collection techniques: tests, observations and documentation. Analysis technique: Descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis test dependent T-Test. The results showed that the use of information and communication technology media in fourth grade students of SDN KIP Maccini, its implementation using information and communication technology media could be said to be well implemented. This can be seen from the activeness of students during the learning process and the implementation of aspects observed through teacher and student observations. The use of information and communication technology media affects the learning outcomes of SDN KIP Maccini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality and feasibility of Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in science learning. This type of research is development research. The development of this LKPD consists of seven stages, namely: (1) Potential and Problems, (2) Data Collection, (3) Product Design, (4) Design Validation, (5) Design Revision, (6) Product Trial, (7) Product Revision. The instruments used are product expert validation questionnaires, material expert validation questionnaires, teacher and student response questionnaires. The results of the research are from product expert validation testing as much as 97%, material experts as much as 96%. HOTS-based LKPD in science learning is declared to be of good quality for use in learning. The results of testing the quality and feasibility of the teacher and 20 students. Obtained from the teacher's questionnaire responses as much as 96%, student interest questionnaires as much as 97% of 20 students. In conclusion, the results of developing HOTS-based LKPD in science learning are declared feasible as learning aids at SD Negeri Pagejugan 03 Brebes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the final assessment items theme 6 reviewed High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in grade VI SD N 1 Klewor 2019/2020 academic year. This research uses qualitative research with descriptive method. The documents analyzed were in the form the Final Semester Assessment (PAS) Theme 6 for the 2019/2020 academic year. Data collection techniques using documentation. The data this study were obtained from interviews, and documentation. The results the analysis show that there are 3 categories 45 items. Namely, Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) there are 11 multiple choice questions with a percentage 37%, 1 short entry question with percentage 10%, Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS) there are 10 multiple choice questions with percentage 33%, 9 short questions with percentage of the percentage 90%, 2 essay questions with percentage 40%, and High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) there are 9 multiple choice questions with percentage 30%, 3 essay questions with percentage 60%. The overall percentage the 45 end-of-semester assessment questions Theme 6 “Towards a Healthy Society” class VI SD Negeri 1 Klewor Lower Order Thinking Skills (LOTS) is 26%, Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS) is 47%, and High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) by 27%.

Abstract

This study aims to increase student achievement with the Make A Match Cooperative Learning Model in Social Studies Subjects in Class IV SD Inpres Borong Jambu I, Manggala District, Makassar City. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students IV of SD Inpres Borong Jambu I, totaling 20 students, consisting of 11 male students and 9 female students. This research was conducted in two cycles of action. Each cycle contains planning, implementation, observation and reflection activities. The research instrument used is observation, test and documentation. Based on the results of the study showed that student learning outcomes experienced a significant increase in each cycle which was marked enough, the first cycle with an average value of 65.6 then increased in the second cycle with an average value of 77.3 to achieve good criteria. Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that there was a significant increase in social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students of SD Inpres Borong Jambu I, Manggala District, Makassar City through the Make A Match Cooperative learning model.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (i) Untuk mengetahui gambaran hasil belajar matematika murid SD Inpres BTN IKIP 1 Makassar (ii) Untuk mengetahui gambaran penerapan pendekatan kontekstual dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas IV SD Inpres BTN IKIP 1 Makassar (iii) Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar matematika murid di SD Inpres BTN IKIP 1 Makassar. Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian true experiment (experiment penuh). Penelitian ini dirancang untuk mendapatkan pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar murid. Desain penelitian eksperimen yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design didasarkan pada Sugiono (2010), yang melibatkan dua kelompok yaitu satu kelompok sebagai kelompok kontrol dan satu sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang dipilih secara random kemudian diberikan pretest untuk mengetahui keadaan awal. Dalam kelompok eksperimen dilakukan dengan menggunakan penerapan pembelajaran kontekstual pada murid kelas IV SD BTN IKIP 1 Makassar. Dalam kelas kontrol pembelajaran dilakukan di dalam ruang kelas dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional dengan media pembelajaran berupa literatur tentang materi matematika dan lembar kegiatan murid. Setelah diberikan perlakuan pendekatan kontekstual, hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk (1)  mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan teknik self Talk untuk Meningkatkan Aktivitas Belajar pada Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Pangkep. (2) Untuk mengetahui gambaran aktivitas belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Pangkep sebelum dan setelah diberi teknik Self Talk. Untuk mengetahui (3) Apakah penerapan teknik Self Talk dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Pangkep. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Pangkep sebanyak 12 siswa pada Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 12 siswa. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan instrumen angket dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan pengujian hipotesis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pelaksanaan teknik self Talk  terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu tahap memberikan informasi, memberikan lembar jurnal self thought kepada siswa, pernyataan self talk positif dan evaluasi  (2) Tingkat aktivitas belajar pada siswa sebelum diberikan teknik self talk berada pada kategori rendah dan setelah diberikan teknik self talk berada pada kategori sangat tinggi (3) Penerapan teknik self talk dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar pada siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Pangkep.

Abstract

This research was to find out: (1) the types of discourse markers used by the EFL students in comparison and contrast text and (2) the functions of discourse markers used by the EFL students in comparison and contrast text. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method. The respondents of this research was the second grade of EFL students; the total students was 30 students. The research data were collected by using an instrument namely writing activity. The writing consisted by comparison and contrast text.  The data were analyzed qualitatively. The first important finding from this research was about the types of DMs used by the students’ in three kinds of different text, there are 30 types of DMs used by the students in the comparison and compare text and the second important finding was there are four category of functions used by the students in writing activity, they were contrastive markers, inferential markers, elaborative markers, and additional subclasses markers. Despite the fact that DMs can create a smooth talk or make the conversation more natural, the students should be able to use DMs wisely in term of fluency and coherence measured in the students’ writing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the kinemaster-assisted learning video on the theme of 7 events in the life of subtheme 1 was effective on the learning outcomes of fifth grade students. This type of research is a quantitative study using experimental methods with a research design of One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The population in this study were all fifth grade students of SD N 02 Banjarsari. using a non-probability sampling technique with saturated sampling type. Data collection techniques in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, tests and documentation. From the pretest value, it shows that the average value is 52.85 while the posttest value shows that the average value is 87.14 and based on the t-test analysis, it is obtained that tcount is 19.4210 with t table of 2.052. It can be concluded that arithmetic> ttable, meaning Ho is rejected. The analysis of completeness of learning before being treated is 14%, while after being given treatment is 93%. Thus, it can be concluded that the kinemaster-assisted learning video is overall effective on student learning outcomes.
