Abstract

This research aims to find out when Hajat Bumi Cariu existed, and the procession, benefits, and values contained in it. In the oral tradition of the Cariu community, Hajat Bumi has existed since hundreds of years ago (approximately 500 YA) since the era of Prabu Sirnaraja, king of Samida, Rajadesa son of Prabu Siliwangi IV (Jayadiningrat). Hajat Bumi tradition consists of 1) Pre-Implementation, 2) Implementation and 3) a Closing Meeting after the event is over. In the beginning, the desire for the earth was interpreted as a ritual or a tradition of asking God for salvation. Then, along with the development of the Hajat Bumi period, apart from being a story, it is also a form of gratitude to Almighty God for the abundant harvest, the event is regularly held every two years every Muharram month because in the past that month was when the harvest arrived precisely on the day between Monday or Thursday. The background of the writing of this article is based on the condition of the social crisis of the community that destroys a nation, while in tradition it can be a media to strengthen social bonds between communities so that a society that is compact and cooperates is realized. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research consists of The research method consists of several stages, namely, the pre-field stage, the work stage in the field, and the analysis stage in the field. The data collection technique used in this research uses observation, interview, and documentation. In this research, the author uses primary data sources and secondary data sources. The results of the research show that the people of Cariu and its surroundings still hold fast to the cultural heritage that has existed for a long time and apply the values that exist in it such as always maintaining the sustainability of nature, always being grateful and praying to the Almighty God, and maintaining cooperation.

Abstract

Tradisi Hajat Laut merupakan salah satu kearifan lokal yang ada di Kabupaten Pangandara. Tradisi Hajat Laut dilaksanakan secara turun temurun sebagai bentuk ungkapan rasa syukur masyarakat Kabupaten Pangandaran kepada Allah SWT atas diberikannya rezeki baik dari laut maupun dari darat. Akan tetapi masih banyak orang yang belum mengetahui secara jelas makna dari Tradisi Hajat Laut, dan belum tersedianya media dokumentasi khusus untuk menyimpan setiap dokumentasi dari tradisi tersebut. Media dokumentasi sangat berperan penting dalam memelihara nilai-nilai dan informasi dari Tradisi Hajat Laut, sehingga dapat diketahui oleh masyarakat luas. Tujuan penelitian dari penelitian ini untuk merancang media dokumentasi Tradisi Hajat Laut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan action research berdasarkan model Kurt Lewin yang terdiri dari planning (perencanaan), action (tindakan), observation (pengamatan), dan reflecting (refleksi). Data penelitian diperoleh melalui hasil observasi, wawancara, serta melalui studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari penelitian yang dilakukan menghasilkan media dokumentasi dalam bentuk e-booklet khusus mengenai Tradisi Hajat Laut yang akan dimuat di website disparbud.pangandarankab.go.id. Melalui media dokumentasi pada e-booklet ini dinilai dapat dengan mudah dipelajari, diperbanyak, dan disebarluaskan sehingga dapat menambah wawasan masyarakat, dan menjadi salah satu upaya dalam melindungi, mempertahankan, serta melestarikan nilai budaya yang terkandung didalamnya.

Abstract

Upacara petik laut merupakan bentuk ungkapan penghargaan masyarakat nelayan terhadap laut yang telah menjadi sumber kehidupan. Disisi lain juga sebagai bentuk rasa syukur kepada Tuhan yang telah memberi keselamatan dan limpahan rezeki melalui hasil laut. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji sejarah dan perkembangan budaya upacara petik laut yang dilakukan masyarakat Muncar serta makna dan nilai kearifan lokal yang terkandung dalam upacara tersebut melalui penelitian studi pustaka untuk menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan hasil analisis. Upacara petik laut merupakan acara wajib yang dilaksankan oleh masyarakat Muncar setiap tahun sekali tepat pada tanggal 15 bulan Suro. Upacara ini telah dilaksanakan tercatat sejak tahun 1901, namun sudah berlangsung lama jauh sebelum tahun 1901 dan masih terpelihara hingga kini. Berdasarkan unsur-unsur yang digunakan dalam ritual upacara dan prosesi pelaksanaan ritual petik laut dapat disimpulkan bahwa upacara ini merupakan akulturasi budaya prasejarah dan islam. Perkembangan era modern tidak membuat upacara petik laut menghilang namun tetap lestari dan mengalami perubahan serta perkembangan. Hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari masyarakat pendukungnya yang tetap melestarikan dan mempertahankannya sebagai tradisi karena memiliki manfaat sehingga dapat dikatakan juga sebagai kearifan lokal. Inti dari prosesi upacara petik laut adalah larung sesaji dan pada perkembangan selanjutnya dipengaruhi oleh berbagai unsur budaya islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upacara petik laut bukan hanya sekedar budaya atau tradisi masyarakat muncar melainkan bentuk kearifan lokal yang memiliki manfaat dan nilai yang dapat digunakan di kehidupan modern. Manfaat dari petik laut ini adalah untuk menjaga kelestarian laut serta mengandung berbagai nilai penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat, yaitu nilai gotong royong, sosial, estetika, dan religi.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to provide an understanding of how the steps in ethnographic research commonly carried out by anthropologists and ethnomethodologies, namely the research tradition of sociologists through literature reviews that produce various views on ethnographic and ethnomethodological research, especially in the steps of implementation both from the birth of the two disciplines to today. The method used in this study uses qualitative methods, with data collection techniques, namely literature studies. The results of this study are steps in ethnomethodological research whose phenomenon is from human actions in a certain community group, which has 3 stages of 10 steps. These ethnographic and ethnomethodological steps are described in detail, each of which has its own characteristics, of course, it can make it easier for ethnographic and ethnomethodological researchers to carry out their research. There needs to be awareness from researchers so as not to rely on abilities without scientific theory, there must be continuity of researchers (students) with experts in their fields (lecturers) so that the research process is accompanied by scientific theory, especially in understanding the steps in ethnographic and ethnomethodological research so that by studying it can produce systematic, effective, efficient and quality research. In modern times, the world of advanced education leads to rational things, to overcome the problem of researchers who ignore understanding the theory of science will make problems if someone who will conduct research, does not understand the steps in research, especially ethnographic and ethnomethodological research.

Abstract

The tradition of rejecting reinforcements for the Siak community and an intangible cultural heritage that needs to be preserved by taking an inventory. This research aims to discover local wisdom regarding the Ghatib Beghanyut tradition in Siak Sri Indrapura. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive. The technique of collecting data in this research is by conducting interviews, observing, and conducting literature studies. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Historically, this tradition has existed since the XII Sultan of Siak; 2) Conceptually, this tradition is a regeneration activity through knowledge transfer, the actualization of religious values, ongoing activities, and their implementation of every Safar month between the 7th, 8th, 9th or 22nd, 23rd, 24th. This is adjusted to the low tide of the river. 3) The Ghalib Beghanyut tradition has undergone several location changes and has additional agendas, such as grave pilgrimages. This research concludes that cultural inventory is significant to be carried out as a form of cultural preservation and can make young people aware of the importance of maintaining and using existing culture in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to make use of the local wisdom values contained in the bongbang art customs in history learning. The inculcation of local wisdom values is practiced with historical learning that links learning content with the cultural values of Bongbang art. This research uses a qualitative research method, case study design. Data collection techniques through the process of observation, interviews and documentation. This research shows that the local wisdom values contained in the Bongbang art custom are: religious, moral, social and cultural values. The results of utilizing the local wisdom values of the bongbang art tradition in learning history are integrated in the material "Cultural Acculturation". The condition of students after carrying out the learning process by utilizing the local wisdom values of the bongbang art custom, namely, students become more active and enthusiastic in the history learning process and students know the values of local wisdom contained in the bongbang art custom which can be realized in school and everyday life.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi mendapatkan informasi Pelaksanaan Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter mata pelajaran IPS di SMP Sepuluh Nopember Sidoarjo. Penelitian menggunakan metode studi kasus eksplorasi dan pendekatan penelitiannya menggunakan metode studi kasus kualitatif yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan informasi Pelaksanaan Projek Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) sebagai penguatan pendidikan karakter. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan system wawancara semi-terstruktur dan daftar pertanyaan disusun untuk wawancara dikembangkan berdasarkan literatur terkait. Responden untuk penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, staf kurikulum, guru dan peserta didik di. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu Pelaksanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila memberikan dampak positif bagi peserta didik diantaranya siswa dapat mempelajari bagaimana cara kerja sama yang baik antar kelas, bertanggung jawab, dapat mengamati dan mempelajari ilmu yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan. Pelaksanaan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila memberikan pengaruh yang baik dengan memunculkan karakter Gotong Royong, Berkebhinekaan Global, dan Kreatif yang termuat dalam nilai-nilai dimenasi Profil Pelajar Pancasila yang hal tersebut juga merupakan tujuan pada mata pelajaran IPS.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation and reveal the values of local wisdom in the Ruwahan Tradition in Sindangsari Village, Banjarsari District, Ciamis Regency. The method used in this study is historical qualitative, namely 1) heuristics, 2) criticism, 3) interpretation, and 4) historiography. Besides that, it also uses the Anthropological Method, a Socio-Cultural research method (culture domain), by using triangulation or several methods when collecting and analysing analyses simultaneously (observations, interviews, literature studies, and field notes). The data collection used in this research is 1) a Literature Study and) a Field Study. The results of this study indicate that the Ruwahan Tradition is still being preserved to this day. At the same time, the local wisdom values of the Ruwahan Tradition can be seen from the Relationship between Humans and humans (hablum minannas), Human Relations with Nature (hablum minalalam), Human Relations and God (hablum minallah). The benefit of this research is as information material about the Ruwahan Tradition in Sindangsari Village, Banjarsari District, Ciamis Regency, and it is hoped that the community will feel proud and continually preserve it as a local cultural entity in a region.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the archaeological remains of the Cariu Site in Sukadana District, Ciamis Regency which has the potential as a historical and cultural educational tourist attraction. Data was collected through observation and interview techniques that utilized field notes and an interview guide in the form of a list of questions for informants. Data analysis was carried out by triangulation through techniques of comparing, looking at sequences, and simultaneously examining cause-and-effect relationships. Based on the results of observations, it can be concluded that the Cariu Site which consists of the Mount Cariu area, the Cariu Girang Tomb, the Cariu Hilir Tomb, the Paneresan area, and the Pasir Pantun area has archaeological and historical remains in the form of cultural objects and historical texts. These remains are cross-sectional in nature and have educational, recreational, and economic values, so they are appropriate to be developed as educational tourism objects. The use of the Cariu site as an educational tourist attraction can not only provide economic value to the community and the government but also preserve the site as a cultural heritage in accordance with archaeological and historical concepts.

Abstract

This research examines the strengthening of multicultural values in multi-ethnic schools and the constraints of strengthening multicultural values in learning history in multi-ethnic schools, SMA Negeri 1 Ternate. This research is a qualitative type. Information collection uses interview techniques, field observations, and document analysis. Meanwhile, data validity was carried out using the triangulation technique. Data analysis started with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results show that integrating multiculturalism values in history learning can form a sense of togetherness among students so that they can accept and appreciate differences in ethnicity and religion. Multicultural values such as tolerance, mutual respect, unity, mutual respect, cooperation, and mutual help are instilled in students to strengthen unity and oneness among people. The obstacle faced is the inconsistency of students' parents with what teachers have taught at school. Multiculturalism can be a vehicle for increasing the degree of mutual respect between ethnicities, tribes, and religions. Strengthening pluralistic values can strengthen diversity among fellow Indonesian citizens. Multicultural education can educate students about unity and integrity to avoid inter-ethnic, ethnic, and religious conflicts.
