Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to (1) describe grade ability in writing news text without using PBL model, (2) describe grade ability in writing news text with using PBL model, and (3) describe the effect of the use of PBL model, toward students’ ability in writing news text. The type of this research is quantitative research done using experimental design. There are three results of the research are (1) the students’ ability in writing news text without using PBL model is low and grades C with average 67,38, (2) the students’ ability in writing news text with using PBL model is high and grades B with average 82,26, and (3) based on t-test, alternative hypothesis (H­1) is gained at the significant phase 95% and degrees of freedom (df) = (n1+n2)-2 because tcount> ttable (5,659>1,67). Kata Kunci: pengaruh, model problem based learning, menulis berita

Abstract

                                                      ABSTRACTThis article was written to describe the relation of reading undestanding skill of anecdote texts to the skill of writing the text of the anecdote of students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method and correlational design. The sample in this study amounted to 40 people. The data of this research is score of skill test result reading understanding the anecdote text and skill test result writing the text of anecdote. The data were gotten through an objective test intended to measure the student’s reading understanding of anecdote text and a performance test intended to measure the students skills of writing the text of anecdote. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of writing the text of anecdote of the students class X of SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang is in good qualification (82,29). Second, the skill of reading understanding to the anecdote text of the students of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang is in very good qualification (87,50). Third, there was a significant corelation between the students reading understanding of anecdote text with the skills of writing the anecdote text of strudent of class X SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang in which the significance level 95% with the degrees of freedom n-1 (dk = n-1). Based on research result and data analysis, we get the conclusions, that is there are significant relations of reading understanding skills and writing skills about anecdote text of ten grade SMA Negeri 3 Padang Panjang because we get that tcount > ttable i.e 2,228>1,68.Kata kunci: korelasi, keterampilan memahami, keterampilan menulis, teks anekdot

Abstract

This article aims to describe the following two points. First, describe the types of characters in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh. Second, describe the technique of the presence of characters in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh.The type of research used is qualitative research using descriptive method. The instrument of this research is the researcher / writer himself assisted the theoretical books and tables of data analysis. This research data is a language tool in the form of written words taken from the data source. The data in the form of figures and techniques of the presence of characters contained in the text of fantasy stories of students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh which amounted to 30 texts. The technique of data validation used is triangulation technique. The data analyzing steps are: (1) identifying the general picture of data as well as encoding text, (2) coding the data, (3) analyzing the characters and characterizations in the fantasy story text of the students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh by using formats based on theory used, (4) discussion of research data, (5) summarizes the results of research, and (6) reported the results of research in the form of thesis. Based on the research results can be concluded two things. First, the kind of characters that tend to be used by students of grade VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh in the fantasy story text that they write is a fictional character, additional characters, white figures, flat figures, and static figures. Second, the technique of presence of characters that tend to be used students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Payakumbuh in the text of the fantasy story they write is analytical techniques, action techniques, and techniques of words. Kata kunci: Tokoh, Penokohan, Teks Cerita Fantasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT  This research is aimed to describe the influence of cooperative model Make A Match type concerning pantun writing skills of student class VII SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman. The research method of this study is experiment method with quasi experiment. The result of this study is there was significant influence of cooperative model Make A Match type concerning pantun writing skills of student class VII SMP Negeri 2 Pariaman at significant level 95% with degrees of freedom  (n1+n2)-2, namely ttable <tarithmetic (1,67<1,89). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of ttable was smaller than tarithmetic. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, Make A Match, pantun

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the mastery of the vocabulary environment in class VII Padang Panjang Middle School 2. Second, describe the text writing skills of class VII students at Padang Panjang Middle School 2. Third, describe the contribution of mastery of environmental vocabulary to the text writing skills of seventh grade students at Padang Panjang Middle School 2. This type of research is quantitative with descriptive method. The design used in this study is the design contribution. The results of this study are three. First, mastery of vocabulary in class VII Padang Panjang SMP Negeri 2 has good qualifications (B) with an average score of 78.48. Second, the text writing skills of class VII students of Padang Panjang Middle School 2 are in good qualification (B) with an average score of 76.49. Third, there is a contribution to mastery of environmental vocabulary on the text writing skills of seventh grade students at Padang Panjang Middle School 2 at 59.44%. Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Kosakata Bidang Lingkungan, Menulis, Teks Deskripsi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to determine the level of skills to re-writing fairy tales of students VII SMP Negeri 22 Padang without using problem based learning aided media images. (2) to find out the skill level of re-writing the students of the country VII class SMP Negeri 22 Padang by using assisted problem based learning aided images series. (3)analyze the effect of applications of problem based learning model of media assisted drawing writing skills li tale students VII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. This type of research is quantitative with quasi-experiment methode. The use of problem based learning model aided media images berrei affect the skills to re-writing tales students VII SMP Negeri 22 Padang. Kata kunci: pengaruh, model problem based learning berbantuan media gambar berseri, menulis kembali dongeng.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The objectives of this study are three (1) to describe the types of authentic assessment used by Indonesian teachers, (2) to describe the compatibility between authentic assessment and theory in the Curriculum 2013, (3) constraints experienced by Indonesian teachers. This research type is qualitative research by using descriptive method. Data collection techniques were conducted by observation, interview, and documentation study. The results showed that teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Pasaman, SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Aur, and SMP Negeri 1 Lembah Melintang have used the type of authentic assessment in the Curriculum 2013. Assessment is done through three aspects, namely attitude aspect, knowledge aspect and skill aspect. Kata kunci: implementasi penilaian otentik, jenis-jenis penilaian, mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is three. First, describe the listening skills of class VIII interview at SMP Negeri 23 Padang. Second, describing the news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. Third, describe the correlation of listening skills to interviews with news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was Class VIII of SMP Negeri 23 Padang. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 25% of the population, namely 51 students. The research data were test scores on interview listening skills and news text writing skills test scores. The research instrument was an objective test to measure interview listening skills and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, the writing text skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang are in more than enough qualifications. Secondly, listening to interview skills is more than adequate. Third, listening skills interviewed were correlated at 7,41 with news text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 23 Padang.                Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Menyimak Wawancara, Keterampilan Menulis Teks Berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is (1) describe the usege of  conjungtion a coordinative in a short story by students in grade IX of middle school of  seven districts south solok, and (2) describe the usage of conjungtion subordinative in a short story by student in grade IX of middle school of seven districts south solok. This type of research qualitative with the descriptive. The result of this reaseach is (1) conjungtion that are widely used class IX of middle school of seven districts south solok which is conjungtion subordinative as much as 487 in conjungtion a coordinative as many as 360, conjungtion subordinative that are widely used which is conjungtion subordinative time (after, so that, when, until, after, while, so that, for) while conjugtion a coordinative that are widely used which is conjungtion a coordinative the addition of (and)), (2) there are three conjungtion that are not used in a short story by students in grade IX of middle school of seven districts south solok, wich is conjungtion a coordinative flanking (and), conjungtion subordinative the modalities (let’s say, if, for example, in case), and conjungtion subordinative the (the same... with, more... from... on...) and (3) is still a lot of students who do not understand about the use of  conjungtion a coordinative and conjungtion subordinative in a sentece. Kata Kunci: penggunaan, konjungsi, cerpen karya siswa

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe the influence of cooperative learning model of Think Talk Write in writing exposition text at grade VII ofMTsS Diniyah Pandai Sikek. The method of this research is an experimental method with a quasi experiment type. The result of this research shows that there is an influence of cooperative learning model of think talk write in writing exposition text for students at grade VII at MTsS Diniyah Pandai Sikek at significant level 95% with degree of freedom (n1+n2) -2, that is ttable<tvalue(1,70 <7,48). Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted because the results of testing the hypothesis prove that the value of ttabel is smaller than tvalue. Kata Kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, think talk write, teks eksposisi.
