Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is one of the third leading causes of death in the world. Correct use of inhalers is important in the pharmacological treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Choosing the most appropriate inhaler for the patient is likely to influence attitudes, increase adherence to therapy, and have therapeutic benefits. This literature review aims to examine the preferences and satisfaction of COPD patients with Genuair inhalers. A literature search was carried out using the Pubmed, ProQuest, Google Scholar, European Respiratory Journal and Sciencedirect databases with literature limitations from 2012 to 2022, with inclusion criteria a). English articles b). patients diagnosed with COPD c). using a genuair/pressair inhaler to produce 772 journals. Then a selection process was carried out and 14 journals were obtained. Based on the results of the literature review, it is known that eight studies show that Genuair is preferred by COPD patients. Each inhaler has advantages and disadvantages that can have an impact on use, patient satisfaction and adherence to therapy which can affect clinical outcomes. The Genuair inhaler is designed to provide multi-sensory feedback, a trigger threshold function to prevent double dosing and a lock-out mechanism to prevent overuse of the inhaler after the last dose has been used. The Genuair inhaler is suitable for COPD patients, especially for those who are less compliant with medication due to breathing difficulties.

The population in this study were all 26 pregnant women who were undergoing pregnancy checks. The sampling technique used is total sampling. The univariate data analysis technique used the frequency distribution while the bivariate used the Chi Square test. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant relationship between the dietary habit of pregnant women and the incidence of anemia with p = 0.003 (<0.05). Pregnant women who do not have a good dietary habit have 4 times the risk of experiencing anemia compared to pregnant women who have a good diet with an OR (Odd Ratio) value of 4.031.
