Abstract

Learning is a form of interaction between teachers and students in order to achieve an expected learning goal. This study aims to examine the scenario and implementation of learning to write biographical text for grade X students using the example non-example model assisted by YouTube audiovisual media, examine the responses of teachers and grade X students to learn how to write biographical texts using the media-assisted example non-example model YouTube audiovisual, and examine the difficulties experienced by students in grade X in completing assignments to write biographical texts. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects were students of SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi class X OTKP 1 with a total of 36 students. by being treated during three meetings, the results in the field showed that the teacher activity sheet got a percentage of 89.58%, and from the student activity sheet that was obtained by 91.18%, so the teacher and student activity sheets were included in the very high category. Then the teacher and student responses to learning to write biographical texts by using a non-example example model assisted by audiovisual media YouTube is very good with the following percentage, the results of the teacher's questionnaire responses reached 55% so that they are included in the high category, while the results of the student response questionnaire reached 58.65% so it is included in the high category. Difficulties experienced by students based on cognitive values obtained by the average student students difficulty in determining linguistic rules in biographical texts, then there are still students who do not pay attention to the three applicable biographical text structures, and in the writing section there are still students who do not pay attention to punctuation, capital letters, and neatness in writing.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of learning to write which is considered difficult by grade VIII students, especially in writing text reviews, which causes students to be lazy in writing activities. Therefore, the researcher chose discovery learning model and audiovisual media as an alternative to solve this problem. This study aims to 1) describe the planning / scenario for the implementation of learning to write review texts using the discovery learning model, 2) describe the responses of teachers and students in learning review texts using the discovery learning model, 3) determine the difficulties faced by students in learning to write review texts. using discovery learning models. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The objects used in this study were all students of class VIII D SMP Darul Falah Cihampelas. From the research results, it shows that the student's response to the learning process of writing review text on positive statements totaling 10 statements received the answer "agree" with an average percentage of 77.7%, while negative statements totaling 10 statements got the answer " agree "with an average of 22.3%. This, of course, greatly affects student learning progress. The results of the student's writing ability increased seen from the percentage results, namely 71.7% of students scored above the average. Meanwhile, 28.3% of students scored below average. This happens because students have difficulty producing text reviews on the aspects of structure, language and spelling. In addition, there are still many students who are less able to make effective sentences, good paragraphs, use punctuation and capital letters.

Abstract

 Language is a communication tool used by speakers in everyday life. Language skills are needed for good interaction and the information exchange process. Therefore, language has been taught to children since birth and will develop according to their age and growth. Pshycologically, new children can say a word at the age of 2-3 years old. The tendency of language error that the children, who are 2-3 years old did, is an error in the field of phonology which is the children still difficult to pronounce one word perfectly. In addition, the children were often changed the phonemes of word, thus produce a different utterance from as well as it should have but still have the same meaning. The aim of study is to determine the level of children’s ability who are 2 years old in pronouncing a word perfectly. The research method used a descriptive qualitative method with the purpose is to describe with clearly and objectly the object of study. There are two children who became the object of this study, Arfa and Aimar, who are still two years old. The data collection was conduct by the researchers  as the main instrument that show the picture of animals to the children, then the children said it. The results of analysis shows that the much phonological error are the replacement an ellipsis/omission of phonemes. Therefore, there is a change in the sound of words that should be pronounced. Thus, in order to the acquistion of the children’s language more maximal, by training it in order to be better in spoken and a good guidance and stimulus by parent are needed.

Abstract

Writing skills as a part that is considered important, namely writing poetry skills. However, the conditions that occur are in fact many who experience difficulties. Learning strategies are needed in creating a pleasant atmosphere. Experience-based learning model is an approach where students as the center start with the premise that people learn based on experience. The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of using experience-based methods on learning to write poetry in class X TKRO 1 SMK KB Pusdikpal. The research method used in this research is PTK. The instruments used were test and non-test. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. Aspects to be assessed include: Accuracy of themes and meanings, diction, rhymes, power of imagination, mandate. The pre-cycle result, the average score of writing poetry was still low, namely 61.1, in the first cycle the class average score increased to 69.5, while in the second cycle, the average score reached 78.4. The increase obtained is if the average value of learning to write poetry in the pre-cycle compared to the first cycle has increased by 8.4, while in the second cycle it is 8.9. With the results obtained in cycle II, it can be seen that the innovation of learning to write poetry in class X TKRO 1 SMK KB Pusdikpal using experience-based learning methods is considered to be able to improve learning outcomes in writing poetry.

Abstract

This article aims to discover and figure of speech to describe what just what is contained in the lyrics of the song "I Guess You're Home" by Amigdala of the indi band in Indonesia who came from the city of Bandung. Problems in this study include analysis of aspects of the composition that make the lyrics of this song interesting to study. Researchers see the narrative or drama of human romance with a polemic in the lyrics of the song "Ku Kira Kau Rumah" which is packaged in the form of figurative words. Song lyrics usually contains feelings, emotions, thoughts, which pour in writing, in the lyrics of the song writer will use language that is beautiful that can be enjoyed by the audience and writers too often makes curious about the choice of words used in the song. As if it is a certain code that wants to be conveyed to the listener. The method used by researchers is the Stylistic method. This method aims to analyze the style and more refers to the style of language. The analytical technique used in the lyrics of the song "Ku Kira Kau Rumah" uses a technique of majas analysis. This technique aims to select certain words in accordance with the intent of the writer or speaker in order to obtain the beauty aspect. The results of stylistic research on the lyrics of the song "Ku Kira Kau Rumah" by Amigdala contain two types of majors, they are comparative and repetitive forms.

Abstract

Chairil anwar's "Selamat Tinggal" poem has elements of a beautiful sound produced in the reading, and Chairil Anwar's poem is also full of figurative language that is typical of Chairil Anwar. It is related to matter of depth and retention of figurative language that is used to be unique and interesting for research. A goal that researchers want to get from the writing is to analyze and also know the meaning contained in the poem "Selamat Tinggal”. The method chosen for poetry study "Selamat TInggal" uses qualitative research methods that examine writing based on the content of studied literary poems. Moreover, the poem is analyzed using a semiotic approach that nudged the subject to the sassurue theory of the development of the linguistic science. The result of the analysis of the poem "Selamat Tinggal" using this semiotic approach resulted in three aspects of it; Symbol, icon and index.

Abstract

Many things will be affected by unstable emotions, including gestures to different ways of communicating. Words are one of the manifestations that a person can choose when their emotions are unstable, some express them directly and some are indirect in other words, preferring to put all their feelings into writing. This research is based on looking at the development of a person's writing in writing captions on social media, writing that definitely represents the feelings that the writer is experiencing. This study aims to describe the ability to write captions based on literary works on social media among students. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, using an observation sheet that discusses the ability to write captions based on literary works on social media. The sample of this study involved 15 students of the sixth semester of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education IKIP Siliwangi taken from class A2-2016 representing each level of writing ability. The results of this study indicate the ability to write literary based captions on social media in which there are differences between students who like and dislike literary works. This is evidenced by the data obtained that those who have the ability to write and fall into the good category in writing subtitles are 8 people, 4 are not good and 3 are not good.

Abstract

Language is a symbol of sound used by humans to interact with other humans which contains meaning. Language is acquired when the child is still a toddler. Language acquisition is acquired naturally when the child learns the first language. This study aims to describe vowels and consonants in early childhood at the phonological level. Many children at an early age still have difficulties or are not clear about pronouncing vowels and consonants. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method which aims to describe the acquisition of language in early childhood at the phonological level related to vowels and consonants, while the technique used in this study is that the researcher makes observations then the researcher records what the child is saying. After that, the researcher wrote the utterance to be researched. The results obtained in this study are that there are difficulties in the vowel phoneme /ә/ and consonants /r/, /s/, /k/, /c/, /η/, /q/ and there are many simplifications of words such as [sepeda]. becomes [pedah], [becak] becomes [ta] changes consonant / c / to / t /, [tangan] becomes [anan], [motor] becomes [otol], [bunda] becomes [nda].

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher’s curiosity about the poetry of a K.H Mustofa Bisri which is very different from his main profession as a very famous scholar and preacher in Indonesia. Many literary works have been born from the ideas and thoughts of a K.H Mustofa Bisri. One of his literary works in the characteristic poetry of his poetry is known for its sharp and flicked language, hi often make poetry that criticizes and satirizes the socio-political and religious behaviour of the wider community. One of the poems that caught the attention of researchers was entitled “Negeriku” through this poem he was able to express his anxiety and irritation towards the country he loved by using subtle but quite slapping language. This study aims to analyze the inner elements of poetry, namely the theme, tone, taste, and mandate of the poem entitled “My Country”. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. As for the results of tained with regard to reseacher’s analysis, it can be concluded that in this poem 1. The theme of social justice, 2. Shows a sense of sadness, disappointment, and anxiety from a poet,3. The tone of this poem is slightly offensive or critical, and 4. The message that you want conveyed by the poet, namely optimizing human resources in Indonesia to manage the natural wealth of this country, do not want to be enslaved by the colonizers.

Abstract

The based research is a problem in e-learning writing exposition text. The material of exposition text often not done because the student lack ability to write a text of exposition. The foregoing motivated researcher to make further analyzed about application e-learning writting exposition text make use approach deduktive assistance animated video as method learning. The purpose of researched is to describe a student difficulties in e-learning writing exposition text at aspects cognitive and psycho motor. The method used in this research is descriptive. The research sample is student of class VIII at SMPN 1 Ngamprah, with the quantity subject of 20 student. The research implemented with twice of learning meetings. The data collected through instruments of testing cognitive and psycho motor. The result of research showed that students have difficulty to complete both cognitive and psycho motor test. In cognitive test, the student have difficulty on solving the question about analyzing the structure and elements of exposition. Whereas in psycho motor test, student had difficulty to complete the spelling (EBI) aspect. After analyzed, it can be concluded that student difficulties in e-learning writing exposition text can be divided into two aspect. In cognitive aspect student had difficulty in analyzing the structure and element of exposition text, whereas in psycho motor aspect, student had difficulty in implementing the spelling (EBI) to the text.
