Abstract

Song lyrics have a unique use of language such as poetry. Through song lyrics, musicians can convey ideas, feelings, and thought with tone and rhythm. The “purpose of this study was to determine the meaning and message contained in the lyrics of the song” “Linked” from Nadin Amizah. The method used is descriptive qualitative which analyzes the meaning and message of the song lyrics “Linked” which is studied with a semiotic approach in order to extract meaning by giving a signifier and signified to the song lyrics. “This research was conducated in several steps, namely: (1) choosing a song, (2) analyzing the song lyrics using a semiotic approach, (3) determining the signifier and signified, (4) describing the results in writing. The results of this research show that the signifier is lyrics of the song “Linked” and the signified are the meanings contained in the lyrics”. The meaning contained in the lyrics of this song is the bond between mother and child which is likened to a hearth that links and continues to beat until the end of life. The message can be taken from this song is that the mother will always be by her child’s side to keep fighting until the end.

Abstract

A short story or short story is a literary work that is dialectically related between reality and short stories, proving that from various angles short stories can be analyzed. This research was carried out because in the short story "Matahari pun Tak Bosan" by Danil Gusrianto which has several figures written from each series of stories in it. The problems discussed in this study are so that readers can receive knowledge about the elements of figure of speech that can be used as experiences and lessons in everyday life. Speech serves to generate term art, language art in a word or in written form and to make words and language more interesting. This research is to analyze the figure of speech contained in the short story by reading and observing studying the short story content first, then marking and analyzing the text which is included in diction and figure of speech, with the terms that have been analyzed, various kinds of figure of speech are found in the contents of the story. Not Bored "Danil Gusrianto's work, namely personification, pleonasm, hyperbole, rhetoric, alliteration and climax. The stylistic approach contributes to research on diction and figure of speech is one of the main elements to achieve various forms of meaning of literary works, because literary works cannot be separated from the use of figure of speech to make it seem aesthetically pleasing. The writer concludes that the short story "Matahari pun Tak Bosan" by Danil Gusrianto is a short story that motivates and inspires its readers. This short story can be used as learning material, and is suitable for reading by all groups.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is the language error in the field of morphology contained in the Youtube title on Channel Rans Entertainment. The purpose of this study was to research and analyze language errors in morphology in Youtube titles on Channel Rans Entertainment. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, documentation, note-taking, and data analysis techniques. The results of this study describe language errors in the morphological field of Youtube titles on Channel Rans Entertainment, especially errors in the use of affixation. These errors include: omitting the prefix {ber-}, writing errors in the prefix {di-}, removing the prefix {me-}, removing the prefix {meng-}, removing the confix {me-kan}, removing the confix {di-kan}, removing the prefix {meN-}, removing the confix {ke-an}, removing the confix {meng-i} and removing the suffix {-kan}.

Abstract

Language style is a way of expressing thoughts through language that has a certain effect and becomes a characteristic in showing the soul of the author's personality in writing poetry. In the poem “Alkene Distillation”, everyone who reads it gets swept up in feelings of heartbreak. In the poem, it tells the story of separating two hearts in a bond of feelings by using a unique diction, namely a diction that analogizes chemical scientific terms with life. Therefore, the research is focused on the style of language used by Wira Nagara in the poem entitled “Alkene Distillation”. The research method used is structuralism-semiotic analysis. This method is qualitative by describing in a description. The results obtained in the study show that there is the use of several styles of language. The use of the language style includes 1. The association in the poem is the word like a, 2. The metaphor in the poem is the phrase falling in love, 3. The personification in the poem is a moody cloud, my dream expands, he penetrates, and others, 4. Paradoxes in poetry those are regret-happy, sad-understanding, lonely-crowded, and others, 5. The hyperbole in the poem is a statement of loving you breathlessly, falling in love even before God planned Adam and Eve to be sent down to earth, and others, 6. Anaphora in the poem is the phrase how is it possible and at least.

Abstract

Pada saat ini teknologi informasi mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat dan tentunya membawa perubahan dalam masyarakat. Penggunaan media sosial yang semakin tinggi sejalan dengan mudahnya akses internet bagi banyak orang. Jejaring sosial salah satunya instagram memudahkan netizen memperoleh informasi secara cepat. Dalam berkomunikasi netizen selaku pengguna media sosial menggunakan bahasa yang berbeda, misalnya muncul campur kode yang mencampuradukkan bahasa satu ke bahasa yang lain, pada komentar netizen di akun instagram Persib Official. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk campur kode yang terdapat pada komentar instagram  Persib Official pada bulan maret 2020. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui hasil rekam data tangkap layar (screenshot) pada komentar yang dianggap terdapat campur kode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya campur kode bentuk kata, ungkapan, baster, frasa, dan klausa.

Abstract

Karya sastra merupakan wujud pemikiran manusia yang dirangkai sedemikian rupa dan tentunya  memiliki pesan tersendiri pada penyampaiannya. Bukan hanya sekedar bentuk dari pemikiran, karya sastra diciptakan dengan rasa sehingga sastrawan bisa menciptakan karya sastra yang menakjubkan. Salah satu karya sastra yang erat hubungannya dengan kehidupan dan konflik serta dirangkai dari sebuah kata-kata yang dianalogikan yaitu karya satra berupa puisi. Puisi merupakan sebuah pesan atau kesan seseorang yang diungkapkan lewat kata yang secara tidak langsung dan dibalut dengan kata yang elok sehingga para pembaca tidak begitu saja mengerti akan makna yang disampaikan penulis. Banyaknya puisi yang sulit diartikan menjadi latar belakang pada penelitian ini dan penulis tertarik untuk menganalisis puisi yang berjudul “Baitullah” karya Ika Mustika karena puisi ini terlihat sederhana namun makna yang disampaikan begitu dalam perihal kehidupan. Penelitian ini tentunya mempunyai tujuan yaitu untuk menganalisis unsur batin pada puisi tersebut. Metode yang dipilih oleh peneliti dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif yang yang mendeskripsikan hasil berupa data bukan angka. Pengambilan kartu data dilakukan dengan berbagai cara diantanya membaca, menganalisis, dan memaknai hasil analisis. Hasil penelitian mengenai puisi Ika Mustika yang berjudul “Baitullah” merupakan sebuah ungkapan atau ekspresi religius seorang penulis yang juga ingin membagikan serta mengingatkan kepada manusia mengenai Allah semata yang kita sembah serta di hadapannya kita sebagai manusia terlihat sama.

Abstract

Writing exposition text is still considered difficult by students, especially in today's online learning which is not face to face. The use of appropriate methods and media can be a solution in the online learning process by utilizing available applications. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in online learning to write exposition text with discovery learning method assisted by Quizizz media and what difficulties students experience in writing exposition text; to find out students' responses to online learning to write exposition text using discovery learning method assisted by Quizizz media. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and questionnaires. The success of learning is seen from the results of the knowledge and skills test which shows the average value of both of them is 77.2 and has met the achievement indicators. The difficulty of the knowledge test questions with a score of 5 regarding the command shows the structure of the text of the exposition of the thesis section, while the difficulty of the skill questions with a score of 70 is in the rules of the reference word language. The results of a very good response during the learning process showed a percentage of 83%. Judging from student learning outcomes and student response results, the methods and media used can motivate students in online learning to write exposition text.

Abstract

The existence of this online game has a very bad impact on adolescents, especially in the area of Nagri Tengah Village, Purwakarta. An online game addiction is a problem that has received attention from the wider community. Online game addiction in adolescents will have an impact on several aspects of life, such as physical and mental health, psychological health, disturbing academic aspects, social aspects, and financial aspects. This research is expected to help in the prevention of online game addiction. The purpose of this research is to study and describe various ways to prevent addiction to online games. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The population in this study were adolescents who were in Nagri Tengah Village, Purwakarta and the research sample consisted of five adolescents. The research was conducted for five days. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The results of this study indicate that 1) online games make adolescents rarely communicate directly with friends and even their surroundings, 2) online games make adolescents addicted to playing them, 3) the reason these teenagers play online games is because there is particular satisfaction when playing online games.

Abstract

Poetry is a literary work that needs to be appreciated and assessed for its beauty. This assessment can be seen from the characteristics or uniqueness created by a writer when writing poetry. This becomes important to analyze so that everyone can know the characteristics or uniqueness contained in a literary work. This research intends to examine the use of a figure of speech in three poems by Prilly Latuconsina. The descriptive qualitative approach is a method chosen and used in this research. The researcher conducted an analytical study by understanding and examining the figures of speech in these poems. The result of the research states that the poems by Prilly Latuconsina have their characteristics or uniqueness. This characteristic can be seen from the use of figures of speech in the three poems. As for the figures of speech contained in the poem, namely, consisting of personification figures, similes, metaphors, and repetitions.

Abstract

Learning to write review text is learning that is fairly difficult for students to do because of the difficulty of arranging words and understanding the overall work that will be reviewed with maximum writing results equipped with several complete review text structures and containing linguistic rules consisting in the review text. Review text is a text that discusses the assessment or review of book, films, dramas, and other works. In this research there is a problem formulation namely how the completeness of the language rules of the review text written by class VIII studensts. In addition to the formulation of the problem, there are also a objectives in this study namely to determine the completeness of the language rules of the review text written by class VIII Students. This research was conducted on the VIII grade students amounting to 25  students. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by collecting data in the form of a review text writing skill test. Based on the research that has been done on the text of the review written by grade VIII students the language rules contained in the article can be said to be maximally because it consists of 4 linguistic rules that should be in it.
