Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah implementasi pada kemampuan siswa dalam pemahaman konsep IPA pada masa pandemi covid-19, respon guru dan siswa pada pelajaran IPA dengan metode demonstrasi pada masa pandemi dan kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode demosntrasi dalam pembelajaran IPA. Pembelajaran IPA pada materi perubahan energi yang diterapkan pada siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar  dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada masa pandemi cukup sulit bagi guru dalam menyampaikan materi tentang perubahan energi dan kesesuaian materi dengan metode yang digunakan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Skenario dan implementasi menunjukkan adanya temuan di lapangan yaitu metode demonstrasi merupakan metode yang sesuai digunakan guru dalam pempelajaran IPA tentang materi perubahan energi. Kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam bermain peran yaitu pembuatan media yang cocok untuk materi yang digunakan, serta kerja sama dalam kelompok sangat sulit dibangun karena kemampuan siswa berbeda satu dengan yang lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan pada penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan metode demonstrasi sesuai dengan tema merubah cara pembelajaran IPA siswa kelas IV khususnya pada materi perubahan energi. Respon siswa dan guru setelah menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada penelitian ini sangat baik karena adanya perubahan proses pembelajaran dalam memahami pembelajaran pada masa pandemi ini, kesulitan yang dialami siswa dalam menjawab soal instrumen  karena siswa kurang mampu mengetahui perubahan energi panas menjadi energi gerak.Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Konsep, Metode Demonstrasi, covid-19.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) dalam membaca intensif pada siswa kelas tinggi sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya nilai hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia,dikarenakan kemampuan membaca siswa yang masih belum intensif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kajian literatur, yang di dalamnya memuat kajian-kajian teoritis terhadap beberapa artikel yang mengemukakan pemahaman kemampuan membaca intensif pada siswa kelas tinggi sekolah dasar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data adalah studi pustaka. Metode yang akan digunakan untuk pengkajian ini studi literatur dengan mengambil data di pustaka, membaca, mencatat, dan mengolah bahan penelitian. Data yang diperoleh dikompulasi, dianalisis, dan disimpulkan sehingga mendapatkan kesimpulan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif yang terdiri atas empat komponen yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan (verifikasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CIRC (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca intensif pada peserta didik kelas tinggi sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Pembelajaran daring merupakan salah satu alternatif dari pembelajaran jarak jauh yang jadi salah satu dari tantangan bagi guru agar tetap menjalankan pembelajaran saat sekolah pada masa covid-19. Penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat berperan dalam hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa dalam belajar terutama pelajaran Matematika. Tujuan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari implementasi pembelajaran daring matematika materi bangun dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual pada siswa kelas IV siswa sekolah dasar. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dimana peneliti menerima keadaan siswa apa adanya kemudian diberikan perlakuan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV di SDN Cijati tahun ajaran 2021-2022, sedangkan untuk sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IVA yang berjumlah 30 orang. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan intrumen soal tes matematika, lembar observasi, angket serta wawancara didukung dengan dokumentasi. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran daring dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pembelajaran daring matematika materi bangun datar, hal ini dikarenakan siswa lebih tertarik dan terstimulus untuk menuangkan ide-ide yang siswa pikirkan, hal ini juga terlihat dari respon siswa saat belajar dimana siswa ikut aktif dalam pembelajaran sehingga pembelajaran berjalan menjadi lebih bermakna, pada hasil angket dan lembar observasi juga menunjukan tingkat antusias siswa yang baik terhadap pembelajaran dimana siswa merasa senang dan terasa mudah saat melakukan pembelajaran daring matematika materi bangun datar.

Abstract

This study is based on the background based on the problems that occur, namely the low ability to understand mathematical concepts in class IV students and some teachers still apply learning models that only provide material with the lecture method. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of the Problem Based Learning model to improve the ability to understand mathematical concepts at the elementary school level. Based on the background of the problem, the solution that can overcome the problems that occur at SDN 197 Karang Taruna Karangsari by using the Problem Based Learning model. The mix method research method was used for this research. The design used is squential explanatory. In qualitative research using quasi experimental methods with Nonrandomized Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design design. A total of 30 students in class IV A in the experimental class and 38 students in class IV B as the control class at SDN 197 Karang Taruna Karangsari. The results of the study based on statistical tests of the average gain value in the experimental class of 0.60 including the medium category and the average gain value of the control class obtained a result of 0.48 in the low category. This means that the Problem Based Learning model is better than using conventional models. Students are very enthusiastic about learning by using the Problem Based Learning model and this model is suitable for use in grade IV elementary school level.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini di latar belakangi berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi yaitu rendahnya pemahaman konsep ips pada siswa kelas IV SD serta sebagian guru masih menerapkan pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep jenjang sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan latar belakang permasalahan, maka solusi yang dapat mengatasi permasalahan di SDN 197 Karang Taruna Karangsari dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning. M etode mix method digunakan untuk penelitian ini. adapun desain yang digunakan adalah squensial explanatory. Pada penelitian kualitatif menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain Nonrandomized pre-test post-test control group design. Sebanyak 30 siswa kelas IV A pada kelas eksperimen dan sebanyak 33 siswa kelas IV B sebagai kelas kontrol di SDN 197 Karang Taruna Karangsari. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan uji statistik nilai rata-rata gain pada kelas ekperimen sebesar 0,36 dan termasuk kategori sedang dan nilai rata-rata gain pada kelas kontrol memperoleh hasil sebesar 0,17 dengan kategori rendah. Artinya model Problem Based Learning lebih baik dibandingkan menggunakan model konvensional. siswa sangat antusias dan tertarik terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Problem Based Learning serta model ini cocok digunakan pada kelas IV jenjang sekolah dasar. Abstract

The background underlying the research is the low critical thinking abilities of students, especially in science and science learning. This research aims to determine the improvement in critical thinking skills of fourth grade elementary school students using the problem based learning model, the obstacles of teachers and students in learning using the problem based learning model. The research method used is a mix method with a sequential explanatory design. A total of 36 class IV students at one of the Bandung Regency elementary schools were used as research subjects, consisting of 19 boys and 16 girls. The data collection process was obtained from test questions, observation sheets and teacher interviews, as well as student response questionnaires. The results of the research show that by implementing the problem based learning model, an n-gain analysis of 76% was achieved in the effective category, and had an effect on students' average score from the pretest and posttest process, which was initially 52.33 to 88.33. This shows that the problem based learning model is effective in improving students' critical thinking abilities. The obstacles faced by teachers are at the grouping stage, time conditioning, and students' mastery of the material. Meanwhile, the obstacles experienced by students are difficulties in strengthening their opinions, considering information and assessing the results of discussions. Abstract

The low level of critical thinking in fifth grade elementary school students is caused by a monotonous learning model that is not suitable for fifth grade elementary school students, which causes students to be passive and apathetic in the learning process, which ultimately causes the results obtained in the teaching and learning process to not be optimal. For this reason, researchers conducted Mix Method research with an Explanatory Sequential Design and used the Problem Based Learning model. The instruments he used were tests, student response questionnaires and teacher interviews. The data collection and processing techniques used are quantitative and qualitative. The students who acted as respondents were 20 State Elementary School students in Gunungmasigit Village, Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency. The results of this research show that the Problem Based Learning Model can increase the level of critical thinking of students as shown by the results of observations supported by an increase in Post Test results which increase significantly at the end of the learning process. Abstract

The main problem in the research is the low understanding of science concepts in style material among fourth-grade students. This research aims to analyze the results of increasing the ability to understand science concepts in style material by applying the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model to students, and the obstacles in implementing the CTL learning model. The research method uses quantitative methods that focus on student learning outcomes. The research object used 35 students with data obtained from pretest and posttest tests. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the results obtained from the quantitative data are an increase in students' ability to understand the science concept of style material as seen from the pretest and posttest with the normality test, homogeneous test and paired sample t-test which obtained a significant value that there is an increase in the ability to understand science concepts in style material by applying the Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) learning model. The results obtained from responses to the obstacles experienced by teachers and students are that teachers are constrained in conditioning the class, presenting concrete media as a whole, and allocating learning time. Meanwhile, students' obstacles lie in external factors, namely their friends and the allocation of learning time.

Abstract

This study aims to develop audio-visual media in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) for fifth grade elementary school students that are valid, practical and have a potential effect on improving students' conceptual understanding. The background of this study is based on the difficulties often experienced by teachers and students in conveying and understanding abstract and complex IPAS concepts, such as the material "Getting to Know the Earth". The available learning media tend to be monotonous and do not facilitate the cognitive needs of students who are at the concrete operational stage. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The validity of the media was tested by material experts, media experts, and IPAS teachers, while practicality was assessed through limited and extensive trials in elementary schools. The effectiveness of the media was tested through a pretest-posttest test. The results of the study showed that the audio-visual media developed was in the very valid category (mean validation score> 85%), practical for use by teachers and students (mean practicality score> 80%), and had a potential effect on improving understanding of IPAS concepts, as evidenced by a significant increase in posttest scores. Thus, this audio-visual media is worthy of being used as an alternative for learning science in elementary schools to help students understand concepts in a more concrete, interesting, and meaningful way.

Abstract

This research and development aimed to produce a make a match-based flash card learning media that is valid, practical, and effective for use in fourth-grade IPAS learning. The study was prompted by a needs analysis which revealed that most fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 27 Palembang were not accustomed to using interactive learning media such as flash cards and experienced difficulties in understanding IPAS material, particularly the topic of states of matter and their changes. Furthermore, student participation in learning activities was generally low. The development process followed the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through expert validation, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. Validation by three experts resulted in an average score of 92.5%, indicating high validity. Practicality testing through one-to-one and small group assessments yielded scores of 97.3% and 96.8%, respectively, categorized as highly practical. Effectiveness testing showed an N-Gain score of 0.77, indicating a high level of effectiveness. Therefore, the make a match-based flash card media is considered suitable for enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and engagement in IPAS learning for fourth-grade students.
