This study uses qualitative methods with narrative analysis. The results of the study show that the cancel culture practice in the Rizky Billiards case is in the form of cyberbullying which appears a lot on social media. Several cases were found on various social media such as Twitter to carry out career boycotts and exclusion. This ultimately had an impact on Rizky Billar's personal, family and career life. So that the practice of cancel culture that is carried out on public figures can be used as social control for other public figures.

Abstract

Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z are labeling the name of a generation with a certain year of birth with the unique character of each. Differences in perspectives on how to conduct communication between superiors and subordinates in the position structure in this bureaucracy are interesting things to study. The theory of organizational culture is a reference in examining how these three generations interpret culture within the organization through the performances that occur in their work environment. The purpose of this research is to present a description of the intergenerational process of meaning forming organizational culture in the government work environment. The researcher chose an interpretive approach with the aim of observing the realities on the ground without generalizing all members of society. Qualitative research methods are presented with field data based on the results of in-depth interviews with employees who have the capacity to answer questions. In conclusion, organizational culture is defined differently from generation to generation. The differences in characters and perspectives of the three generations experience obstacles and cause conflict, but can still be resolved by adaptation and compromise. Technological developments have contributed to changes in organizational culture which are the result of the affiliation of Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z in the government bureaucracy, especially in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing.

Abstract

The ratification of the three Laws (UU) the territorial split of the Papua has sparked debate in various circles. Pros and cons actors convey narratives that contain discourse to influence the public's view of the Papua’s territorial split. This study uses the Discourse Network Analysis (DNA) method to map coalitions of actors and discourses on the territorial split of Papua based on actor arguments in the mass media. The discourse coalition study aims to communicate strategies and policy making in the debate on the territorial splits of Papua. The results of the study show that the cons actors are more heterogeneous than the pro actors who are dominated by the government. The discourse raised by the two groups is related with one another. The historical context used in the discourse relates to problems that have long faced Papua: distribution of development, the distance from government control, social welfare, etc. Mapping of discourse coalitions and actors can be utilized in policy making in political debates. In the plan for the territorial splits of Papua, the government needs to discuss with groups that represent the Papuans.

Abstract

The patriarchal culture that is still being maintained has made women dependent on the judgments of others when trying to see and measure themselves regarding body issues. This is reflected in the accounts @ugmcantik and @unpad.geulis. This article attempts to examine how women's bodies are constructed and objectified through these two beautiful university accounts using a descriptive qualitative approach and Sara Mills' Critical Discourse Analysis research method. The data collection technique in this study was by observing the photos posted on @ugmcantik and @unpad.geulis accounts and analyzing the dominating comments on these photos, categorizing them into objectification or construction of women's bodies. The findings of this study indicate that objectification and construction practices on women's bodies are still perpetuated through the photos and comments on both accounts, and women are still dominated and seen as passive objects.

Abstract

Tanjung Lesung’s Special Economic Zones (SEZ) is a tourist destination developed as a coastal tourism potential in Indonesia. The development of the Tanjung Lesung SEZ experienced challenges when the natural tsunami disaster in 2018 caused the Tanjung Lesung tourism slump. Research on communication between stakeholders is essential to determine how each stakeholder plays his role and coordinates with each other to revive tourism in particular economic areas. This study aims to analyze the problem of communication among tourism area stakeholders. The research uses a case study method with the object being the Tanjung Lesung tourism SEZ. The research subjects are the stakeholders of the tourism area. Data were collected by observation and conducting semi-structured interviews with 17 informants from four types of stakeholders: local governments, private companies, media, and community groups in the buffer zone. The data is also complemented by an academic review of the literature. Data analysis uses analysis with a stakeholder theory approach, which looks at the relationship between stakeholders in realizing common goals in developing particular economic areas for tourism. The results showed communication gaps among stakeholders, with each stakeholder having their strategy for developing tourism. The tourism strategy has not been integrated with all stakeholders due to internal conflicts in the management of the Tanjung Lesung area and its supporting areas. Stakeholders need to communicate regularly and work together to determine the target market so there is no gap between stakeholders in carrying out tourism development strategies after the disaster.

Abstract

Patriarchal society significantly affects how people interpret gender In the Indonesian, which leads to segregation and gender stereotypes in the workplace.Current development, women are entering fields like mining and construction that were formerly dominated by men. This study seeks to understand how women perceive their femininity when working in environments where men predominate. The research method is interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA), which uses a qualitative and explorative approach in line with the constructivist paradigm. The information gathered from interviews was analyzed using Smith, Flowers, and Larkin's (2009) data analysis techniques. The findings indicate that women who work in professions where men predominate regard their femininity as a combination of traditional femininity, new femininity, and adopted male traits as a means of adjusting to the workplace. This leads us to the conclusion that femininity is currently changing and that women today tend to express themselves more freely.

Abstract

This study examined neutrality in Artificial Intellignce (AI)-based tools in information dissemination, specifically Microsoft's GPT powered Bing Chat and Google's Bard, across three geopolitical topics. The Gamson and Modigliani framing model was employed for evaluation of the AI responses. Results revealed that while efforts were made to maintain neutrality, subtle Western, specifically American, perspectives persisted in the narratives, challenging the prevalent perception of AI as a neutral technology. These findings indicate that geographical and cultural contexts of AI development may inadvertently influence narrative framing. The study emphasizes the need for incorporating diverse perspectives in AI development and further research into this sphere. Limitations include the interpretive nature of the framing model and potential influence of cultural and academic backgrounds.
