Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parental overprotective behavior on psychological development in early childhood in Arkarami housing, Sukarami Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City. The method used in this research is quantitative. Collecting data using a questionnaire technique. Data analysis using quantitative analysis techniques. The results showed that the calculated r was 0.690 > r table at df = 28 was 0.374, so it can be concluded that the X and Y variables have a significant relationship. Thus, the hypothesis (Ha) which reads that there is a significant relationship between parents' overprotective behavior on psychological development in early childhood in Arkarami Housing, Sukarami Sub-district, Selebar District, Bengkulu City is proven and acceptable.

Abstract

People's perceptions of parenting that prioritize mothers over fathers are starting to shift. Along with the development of parenting science makes father involvement began to be applied in family education. The role of the father is needed in the process of child development. Based on previous research, the involvement of fathers in parenting in early childhood is still limited to responsibilities and decision holders that result in the presence of fathers who are limited to physical but not emotional. This research uses a quantitative approach. This study aims to find out the influence of the role of fathers on social adaptation in early childhood at The Nurmala Hati Foundation in East Jakarta. Based on the results of the study, the significance value of p = 0.000 and the correlation value (r) of 0.498 which means that there is a significant moderate influence between the role of fathers on social adaptation in early childhood, while the value of R square (r²) was obtained by 0.248 which shows that the percentage of the influence of father's role on social adaptation in early childhood is 24.8% at nurmala hati Foundation in East Jakarta.

Abstract

This study discusses the acquisition of phonemes and syntax in children aged 5-6 years, with a qualitative descriptive approach and tries to describe the phonemes and syntax of children who appear when reading a picture story book. The data mining carried out by researchers by observation, interviews and documentation. The results obtained 1) in the semantics of almost all children's utterances contain denotative meanings, there are also sentences that appear with connotative meanings, 2) children replace the sounds of several consonants, namely l and w with the aim of making it easier to pronounce. At the age of 5 years, the phonemes / o/ and / h / are released and there is a change in the phonemes / r / so / l /, /l/ becomes /w/, /g/ becomes d, /k/ becomes /t/, /nga / so / na/, / f/ becomes /p/, /s/ becomes / t/, /j/ becomes /d/, /z/ becomes / d/, /l/ becomes / w/. And there is also the release of some consonants in order to make it easier to pronounce such as / shampoo / become /tamas/. And for the syntax, children cannot identify the time of events such as today, tomorrow or yesterday. In stringing words into SPOK sentences, it still needs a lot of practice, especially exploring more children's vocabulary, practicing children to answer questions, of course educators using open sentences.

Abstract

Teacher performance is always an interesting thing to discuss to see the level of achievement of results and the effectiveness of teachers in carrying out their duties, including their ability to teach (self efficacy), motivate students, manage classes, and internal and external encouragement, to make maximum contributions to the learning process and child development. This study aims to reveal the effect of self efficacy and work motivation on the performance of PAUD teachers. This study uses quantitative research using survey research design and questionnaires. The subjects of this study amounted to 60 people with the characteristics of PAUD teachers in Kerinci district. The research data were revealed using the Teacher Self efficacy Scale, Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale, PAUD Teacher Performance Scale, then the research data were processed using simple regression analysis and multiple regression. The results showed that self efficacy and work motivation have a significant influence on the performance of PAUD teachers. It is recommended that future researchers conduct a broader study, covering provincial or even national levels.

Abstract

Character education is an important foundation that must be applied to children starting from the beginning at the golden age. The purpose of this research is to provide evidence of the life of the Baduy tribe with very obedient/obedient traditions in creating a safe, peaceful, serene, balanced life, which is found in the lives of individuals, families, wider society, religion and the state which is carried out through character education. This research examines the instillation of character education in early childhood of the Muslim Baduy tribe, especially in Nurul Ilmi PAUD which is located in Lembah Barokah Village, Ciboleger Village, Leuwidamar District, Lebak-Banten. This research uses qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques were obtained from observation and interviews. The results of the research show that the cultivation of Baduy Muslim character education at the Nurul Ilmi PAUD institution was carried out by introducing good role models, and children were trained in cooperation and children were trained in the qualities of courage. To support the implementation of character education in early childhood, cooperation between teachers, parental support, influential environments and local government is also needed.

Abstract

As an educator, he is obliged to be able to create a righteous and righteous generation in accordance with religious values ​​in accordance with. Early childhood education (ECE) is not only on the formal track, but the family and the surrounding environment also provide education for a child. This development of has the Koran as a source of law and science. Apart from that, the Koran also serves as a guideline for living in child rearing. Therefore, the Al-Quran becomes an important guide in the learning process for early childhood in order to produce a superior Islamic generation in the midst of global competition. In this case the author tries to explain the importance of inculcating religious values ​​from the perspective of the Koran in early childhood education. Because early age is the earliest and easiest age for the formation of children's character compared to when the child has reached adolescence. The method used by the author is library research, which explains the theory of children's education, and how to cultivate the values ​​of the Koran from an early age.

Abstract

A song masterpiece by Pak Kasur entitled Dua Mata Saya, My two eyes, is very interesting to be reviewed deeply. It can be seen from the structure of the melody and the lyric that has educational meaning and value. The method that is used in this research is descriptive analysis by collecting all the data and then the data are classified, validated and interpreted. This research shows that the melody structure that is made has clear pattern, the lyric is simple and easy hence children are able to pronounce it and it is appropriate according to the characteristic of children’s song.

Abstract

This article aims to understand the philosophy of Behaviorism in early childhood education from the perspective of Waldorf (Rudolf Steiner) which is applied to its usefulness in the learning process. Steiner is an educational theory commonly referred to as Waldorf, the word "Waldorf" usually alternates with the term Steiner. Describing schools with a curriculum based on Steiner's teachings is about humans who have ties associated with unraveling the mysteries of the spiritual world. At school Waldorf developed a model to develop creativity in the educational process. Waldorf has a kindergarten that differs from other schools in general. Waldorf educates kindergartens from 3-7 years old. Having a school curriculum that contains games that can hone children's development, such as games that discuss, fairy tales, fables, folklore, these games can increase motor skills and arts. According to the theory of behaviorism the results of learning experiences are the most changes in behavior. The interaction between stimulus and response occurs because of the learning process. The theory of learning behaviorism itself is interpreted to study human behavior, and there are three feelings regarding early childhood education supported by Waldorf teachers: respect, enthusiasm, and protection. a. Respect, enthusiasm and protection, b. Provide a responsive environment, c. Children's relationships with sensory experiences, d. in collaboration with peers, e. Learning by doing, f. Self responsibility and regulation.

Abstract

Cognitive development is the basis for a child's ability to think such as skills and understand what happens in his environment. This study aims to improve cognitive abilities in recognizing geometric shapes through the natural material media of rainbow stones in child B at PPT Tunas Bangsa City Surabaya. This Classroom Action Research consists of 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 stages: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. The subjects of this study were 24 children of PPT Tunas Bangsa. Data collection techniques using observation and documentation. The results of the research in the first cycle showed a cognitive development of 55.83% and in the second cycle research showed a cognitive development of 83.3% with the achievement of the criteria for BSB (Very Good Development). Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the natural material media of rainbow stone can improve cognitive abilities to recognize geometric shapes in children aged 3-4 years at PPT Tunas Bangsa Surabaya.

Abstract

Formative assessment in early childhood education in Indonesia does not have been working well. The research aims to prove the problem that the formative assessment (assessment for learning and assessment as learning) in early childhood education in Indonesia does not have been performing well. The research employed the research methodology of literature review to investigate the problem by analyzing empirical research-based articles on assessment in early childhood education. The result shows that a very few of natures of the formative assessment were present when teachers of early childhood education assessed their students. Goals, teacher’s and student’s roles, methods, feedback and following actions which particularly characterize the formative assessment were seldom found in the assessment practice in early childhood education in Indonesia.
