Abstract

Background. World Health Organization (WHO) has predicts increase in the number of people with diabetes in Indonesia from 8.4 million in 2000 to approximately 21.3 million in 2030. Medical Nutrition Therapy (TGM) is key to the success of the overall control glucose, involvement of the team members are doctors, nutritionists, other health workers as well as patients and their families Objective. To the description of family support on adherence diet DM (exact amount, type, schedule) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in egeneral hospital Mataram City. Research Methods. This study is a descriptive observational study with cross sectional design, that total sample was 22 people. The data collected includes the characteristics of the sample and the method of interview respondents, the level of family support using questionnaires, the data rate of consumption with 2x24 hour recall method Research Result: The age samples in this study has over 40 years old (90.9%), with female sex (68.2%), and the level of high school education (50.0%), type of work as a retired civil servants (59.1 %). Counseling frequency less than 2 times (81.8%) and long suffered from diabetes more than 2 years (59.1%), and blood glucose levels are above normal values (72.7%). The level of compliance, 12 (54, 5%) abiding in the amount of energy and carbohydrates, 12 (54.5%), comply with the right kind of foodstuffs and 11 (50%) comply with the recommended proper feeding schedule.  Conclusions: Good family support tend to make patients with type 2 diabetes to adhere to the right kind of food and eating schedule, but not affect the compliance of patients with DM in the right amount of energy and carbohydrates.

Abstract

Background. Dyslipidemia is defined as an abnormality of lipid metabolism which is characterized by an increase or decrease in the main lipid fractions, namely an increase in total cholesterol, Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides, and a decrease in plasma High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol. Lycopene is one of the antioxidants that can affect lipid profiles. Research Methods. This research is a Pre-experimental research design pretest and posttest design. The subjects of this study were men and women aged ≥45 years with 8 people with LDL cholesterol levels> 100 mg / dl. Data were tested using the Paired T Test to determine the effect of decreasing LDL cholesterol levels before and after tomato juice administration (p = 0,000). Research Result. There was an average decrease of 20 mg / dl on LDL cholesterol levels before and after administration of tomato juice. Conclusion. There was a significant effect on the reduction of LDL cholesterol before and after being given an intervention in the form of tomato juice.

Abstract

Background. On the post digestive surgery patients is has increased metabolic stress as indicated by the increase in energy and protein demand. The feeding for post digestive surgery patients note either through enteral, parenteral and oral combination so that food intake can be given correctly. Research Methods. This study used obeservasional descriptive. The sampling used purposive sampling. Research Result. The all of sample in this research is man which aged over 40 years with hernia inguital lateralis diagnosis and the length of stay postoperative is 3 days. The average of patients intake is 75%, protein 69%, vitamin C 26,33% and kalium 125,3%. The parenteral food that provide to all of sample is ecosol RL infuse as 1000 cc which given when the sample finished the operation. Conclusion. The contribution of energy, protein dan vitamin C only obtained by oral, while the parenteral food is give the contribution of kalium intake as 102,56%.

Abstract

Background. The elderly are groups of people who are undergoing a change. In the elderly tere is a decrease in the form of weakness. Decreased immune system and changes in organ function. Abnormalities due to changes in the gastrointestinal system result in a disorder that is constipation. Social House Tresna Werdha Puspakarma Mataram  found elderly constipation. Research Purposes. The purpose of this study were to determine te effect of fluid constipastion and the influence  of guava juice and tomato juice  to the elderly  who experienced constipastion. Research Methods. Method was analytical with design “Quasy Experiment” with research design non equevalen control group. The number of subjects in the study were 30 people. Research Result. Based on the results of research conducted showed that the average fluid consumed by all elderly were in the category of less thet was 1500 ml. The intervention group was significantly influenced by the average value of  P < 0,05. Whereas in the control group there was no effect with the mean value P > 0,05. The results of the study of 15 people wo were given guava juice and tomato most of the respondents Decreased incidence of constipation as many as 14 people (93,3%) decreased constipation. In the control group with a sampel of 15 people, the number of constipated elderly were 13 people (86,6%). With the result of analysis there was a significant influence between guava juice and tomato juice with constipation with P < 0,005. Conclusion. There is a gift efeect guava juice and tomato juice against the constipated elderly in Social House Tresna Werdha Puspakarma Mataram.

Abstract

Background. In West Nusa Tenggara the highest prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus is Bima (2.5%). In the city of Mataram the prevalence of diabetes mellitus is around 1.7% and ranks 3rd in 10 districts in West Nusa Tenggara. The 2013 Mataram City Health Profile states that DM is the third highest number of infectious diseases in the city of Mataram. In regulating diet, people with Diabetes Mellitus are advised to pay attention to carbohydrate and fiber intake because it is important in controlling blood glucose. One of the fruits that can be used as blood sugar control is Dragon Fruit (Hylocereus) which has the advantage of being rich in fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium. Objective: To determine the effect of giving dragon fruit to the decrease in blood glucose levels when patients with Diabetes Mellitus in Tanjung Karang Health Center.Research Methods. This type of research is Quasi Experiment with a pre-post control group design. The subjects were divided into 2 groups, namely the treatment group that was given 250 grams of red dragon fruit / day and the control group was not given dragon fruit. Giving dragon fruit is done every day for 10 days. GDS level measurements were carried out using the GCU tool. Blood is taken the day before the intervention and one day after the intervention. Statistical analysis using Independent sample t-test, and Paired t-test.Research Result. There was a difference in blood glucose levels at the start and end of the treatment group with p <0.05. it was found that the control group's blood glucose reduction rate was -35.4 mg / dl. The highest reduction in blood glucose in the treatment group was in K7 respondents as much as 130 mg / dl and the highest increase in blood glucose was in K1 respondents as much as 159 mg / dl.Conclusion. There is an effect of giving dragon fruit to the decrease in blood glucose levels when patients with DM in the Tanjung Karang Health Center Work Area.

Abstract

Background. At the age of pre-school children entered the phase of negavistik i.e. children to refuse food offered, as a result of the child will behave deviate. This study to find out the description of the behaviour of pre-school age children eat in the village of Mangkung sub-district of Praya Barat. Research Methods. Examination is a descriptive observational. This research was conducted in the village of Mangkung sub-district of Praya Barat by way of free variables and bound variables obtained through observation, measurement, recording and analysis of data. Research Result. Results from the research conducted that could result with the behavior of feeding, nutritional status and consumption pre school aged children. Eating behavior level samples that belonged to good 27 people with persentage 40 .9 good nutrient that is 61 status with persentage 92,4 people and levels of consumption of the protein that has the above protein samples adequacy of as many as 60 people (90.9) and the level of energy consumption samples that have energy above the adequacy of as many as 36 people (54.5). Conclusion. Ari results research conducted that may be known to the behavior of eating and nutritional status of pre school age children in the village of Mangkung sub-district of Praya Barat central of Lombok

Abstract

Background. Development in Indonesia is basically shown to improve the welfare and security of all Indonesian people. The right of Indonesian citizens to improve their quality of life is the Human Rights (HAM) guaranteed by the Constitution. Giving complementary food for breastmilk that is too early can cause diarrhea so that the weight decreases. One effort to overcome malnutrition is by increasing one's knowledge, attitudes and actions by conducting nutritional counseling. Based on the results of monitoring the nutritional status of West Lombok in 2015, the highest indicator of underweight under-five children in Gunungsari sub-district was 19.80% with the highest BGM cases in the village of Sesela in the Gunungsari Community Health Center as many as 25 children. Research Purposes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutritional counseling on the actions of women in the provision of MP-ASI and underweight children under five 6-24 months in the Sesela Village of the Gunungsari Community Health Center Working Area. Research Methods. This type of research uses quasi experiment design. The independent variables in this study were nutrition counseling and the dependent variable was maternal action and toddler weight. The sample in this study is toddlers aged 6-24 months by means of nonprobility sampling which means that all populations are sampled. This research took place in January to February 2017. Research Result. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Wilconxon test with the results of the value p = 0.00 <0.05, it can be concluded that there was a significant effect between maternal actions before and after nutritional counseling and the Mann-Whitney Test with p = 0.01 <0.05, it can be concluded that significant between mother's actions towards toddler weight. Conclusion. There is an influence of nutritional counseling on the actions of mothers and toddlers' weight.

Abstract

Background. Tempe soybeans are one of the traditional foods that have long been known in Indonesia. Tempe fermentation process will change soybeans into tempeh which has a better aroma, taste, texture, nutritional value and digestibility. The taste of tempe is determined by the type of soybeans and the type of packaging during fermentation and the storability of soybean tempeh. Research Methods. This study used an experimental method with experimental design using a completely randomized design (CRD). Research Result. The results of organoleptic properties in this study with the best color, aroma and texture parameters with t1 treatment were using plastic packaging and the best taste parameters, namely with t3 treatment using teak leaf packaging. The observation of the storage capacity of soybean tempeh for two days of storage at 300C with various types of packaging with evaluation parameters including the color, aroma, taste and texture of the best soybean tempe was the storage capacity of soybean tempe in treatment t1 using plastic packaging. Conclusion. The best organoleptic properties with color, aroma and taste parameters with treatment t1 (plastic packaging) for taste parameters at the best treatment level are t3 (teak leaf packaging) and shelf life of soybean tempeh based on organoleptic properties with the best parameters of color, aroma, taste, and texture soybean tempe with treatment level t1 (plastic packaging).

Abstract

Background. Abon is a dry food products with a crunchy textured and have a relatively long shelf life. Dregs tofu is the manufacture of solid waste out. Research Ridayanti, et al (2006) regarding the manufacture of shredded dregs tofu with dregs tofu formula of 50% and 50% addition of young jackfruit give organoleptic properties are preferred. Required the addition of a food that is rich in nutrients, easy to obtain, and have a low economic value of the chosen addition of tilapia fish. Research Wulandari (2007) is the substitution swordfish with tilapia fish in the manufacture of shredded much as 50% give organoleptic properties that are preferred by the panelists. Objective. To identify effect of adding Tilapia fish meat toward organoleptic properties (taste, smell, color, texture) of shredded dregs tofu tilapia fish. Research Methods. an experimental study design with a completely randomized design (CRD) one additional factor tilapia fish meat 10%, 30%, 50%, 70% and 90%. Treatment was repeated 3 times. The parameters observed organoleptic properties (color, smell, taste and texture). Data were analyzed using ANOVA. Research Result: Treatment t4 (70%) are most preferred in terms of color and taste, treatment t5 (90%) are most preferred in terms of smell, and treatment t2 (30%) are most preferred in terms of the texture of Abon ATM. Color obtain scores of panelists from 3.72 to 3.76, scores of smell 3.56 to 3.84, scores of taste from 3.42 to 3.72, and scores of texture from 3.64 to 3.96. The addition of tilapia fish meat no significant effect on the color, smell, and texture of Abon ATM (p>0,05) and significant effect on the taste of Abon ATM (p<0,05).  Conclusions: The addition of tilapia fish meat significant effect on the taste of Abon ATM (p<0,05). The addition of Tilapia Fish meat 70% (t4) that is recommended.

Abstract

Background. Children with autism are more often reported to have digestive problems. Gluten and casein are difficult to digest so autistic children must avoid preparations made from these two proteins. Maknan is quite popular with children including autistic sufferers, namely snacks such as cookies. But not many cookies are intended for autistic patients, cookies that do not contain gluten and casein. The goal is to determine the effect of a combination of flour (purple sweet potato, gude beans, pumpkin) on the organoleptic properties, nutritional content, and acceptance of udela cookies in autistic children                                     Research Methods. The method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 levels of treatment each of 4 repetitions, namely a combination of flour (gude beans, purple sweet potato and pumpkin) t1 (30%; 30%; 40%), t2 (40% ; 30%; 30%), t3 (50%; 30%; 20%) and t4 (60%; 30%; 10%). Research Result. Combination of flour (purple sweet potato, gude beans and pumpkin) in udela cookies had a significant effect on color (p <α 0.05) but did not have a significant effect on texture, smell and taste (p> α 0, 05). Water content test results (5.15%), ash content (2.29%), protein (6.18%), fat (17.31%) higher than the quality requirements in Indonesian national standards and carbohydrates (69.09 %) lower than the quality requirements in Indonesian national standards. Test of acceptance of 9 people (60%) in the good category and 6 people (40%) in the less category. Conclusion. Based on the results of the research conducted. Autism that gets udela cookies given for a day shows that the category of autistic acceptance is included in the good category of (60%) and the category is less than (40%). In the category of less due to several factors such as autism, given cookies must adapt to new foods given and due to the study of 2 sick autistic children.
