Abstract

Recently, the phenomenon of the tutorial activities in mathematics class shown that the tutee still passive and just tended to accept tutor explanations. It made mathematics was considered as a difficult subject. Based on this reason, the authors conducted research on tutorial focused to improvement the studentsabilities in Pengantar Statistika I dan II by using explorative discussion that emphasizes on the metacognitive knowledge level. The subjects are S1-PGSD students at second semester in Sidoarjo. The research is conducted in two cycles and shown that the use of the explorative discussion method that emphasizes on the metacognitive knowledge level is able to increase of the students understanding and independence.

Abstract

The Globalization may gives negative impact that causes fading the culture and spreading the radicalism easily. Education is one of way to prevent it, the name is the learning approach. The objective of the research is to describe the form of implementation the KALBU approach (Local Wisdom and Culture) towards biological learning in Purworejo. The research method is descriptive research, the name is study of literature. The literature study was carried out by analyzing local wisdom and culture in Purworejo District, which numbered 8 (eight). After that, 8 (eight) local wisdom and culture were associated with Biology learning. Based on the result, the Local Wisdom and Culture (KALBU) approach can be used as an alternative approach to learning Biology. Eight local wisdoms and cultures contain 3 (three) domains, they arecognitive, psychomotoric, and attitudes. Cognitive domains that can be integrated include: biodiversity, plantae, animalia, conservation, food and medicine, and biotechnology. Psychomotoric domain include: classifying, making products (projects), and innovating. Furthermore, 8 (eight) local wisdom and culture also contains the domain of spiritual and social attitudes (Character Education Strengthening). Globalisasi dapat memberikan dampak negatif yaitu menyebabkan lunturnya budaya dan tersebarnya paham radikalisme dengan mudah. Salah satu upaya untuk mencegah hal tersebut adalah melalui pendidikan yaitu pendekatan pembelajaran.Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk implementasi pendekatan KALBU (Kearifan Lokal dan Budaya) tentang pembelajaran Biologi di Kabupaten Purworejo.Metode penelitian berupa penelitian deskriptif yang bersifat studi pustaka. Studi pustaka dilakukan dengan menganalisis mengenai kearifan lokal dan budaya di Kabupaten Purworejo yaitu berjumlah 8 (delapan). Setelah itu, 8 (delapan) kearifan lokal dan budaya tersebut dikaitkan dengan pembelajaran Biologi. Berdasarkan kajian yang dilakukan, pendekatan Kearifan Lokal dan Budaya (KALBU) dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif pendekatan dalam pembelajaran. Delapan kearifan lokal dan budaya mengandung 3 (tiga) ranah yaitu ranah pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap. Ranah pengetahuan yang dapat diintegrasikan antara lain: keanekaragaman hayati, plantae, animalia, konservasi, pangan dan obat, serta bioteknologi. Ranah keterampilan meliputi: mengklasifkasikan, membuat produk (proyek), dan melakukan inovasi. Selanjutnya, 8 (delapan) kearifan lokal dan budaya tersebut juga mengandung ranah sikap spiritual dan sosial (Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter).

Abstract

This paper posits an opinion that the state of philosophy in contemporary world including in academic milieu is quiet unsatisfying in terms of how it is formulated and perceived. Though only lightly touched here and there, similar situation happens in Indonesia. Philosophy has been notoriously accused of corrupting young generations, of continuously irritating establishments, or at best leaves the world unchanged. Con-sidering that even music, for example, which satisfies only a few human sense, could have such enormous effect to human life, philosophy which claims to cover all traces of human existence could basically do something much much more, rather than simply uninfluencial or harming humanity. By elucidating initial and a little further meaning of philosophy, this paper try to build a foundation for such claim. In between such elucidation, it is briefly mentioned certain reasons why philosophy has been, is and will exist as long as human being exist. All in all, however, this article is only a beginning or at least the first part to explain the existensial nature of philosophy. A further article is needed to expound that.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to measure the extent to which teachers and education personnel have the motivation of public services and to determine the factors that become obstacles and drivers for teachers and education personnel to implement values ​​in the motivation of public services. The sample of respondents was determined as many as 22 people who were distributed into 6 schools. Data collection methods were carried out by direct observation in schools, interviews with respondents and through field surveys with questionnaires. Data processing using SPSS software and statistical analysis is done by testing the research hypothesis to examine the relationship between variables and solve research problems. The results of the study are based on hypothesis testing, namely that there is an effect of mentality on service motivation while performance has no effect on service motivation. Simultaneously mentality and performance affect the motivation of public services by 62.0%. The factor that is driving the implementation of values ​​in the motivation of public services is the level of teacher education, personality, dedication, ability and discipline, while the inhibiting factor comes from internal factors that come from within the teacher itself. Guru dan tenaga kependidikan sebagai penyelenggara pendidikan bagi masyarakat mempunyai norma, etika dan peraturan yang mendasari perilaku mereka. Dalam praktek, masyarakat dapat melihat perilaku guru yang beragam, ada yang secara konsisten melaksanakan tugas-tugas pendidikan dengan bertanggungjawab dan berkualitas, namun ada pula yang melenceng dari norma sebagai pendidik. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengukur sejauh mana guru dan tenaga kependidikan memiliki motivasi layanan publik dan untuk menentukan faktor yang menjadi penghambat dan pendorong bagi guru dan tenaga kependidikan untuk melaksanakan nilai-nilai dalam motivasi layanan publik. Sampel responden ditentukan sebanyak 22 orang yang terdistribusi ke dalam 6 sekolah. Metode pengumpulan  data yang dilakukan dengan pengamatan langsung di sekolah, wawancara dengan responden dan melalui survei lapangan dengan kuesioner. Pengolahan data menggunakan software SPSS dan analisis statistik dilakukan dengan menguji hipotesis penelitian untuk mengkaji hubungan antara variabel dan memecahkan permasalahan penelitian. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan pengujian hipotesa yaitu terdapat pengaruh mentalitas terhadap motivasi pelayanan sedangkan kinerja tidak terdapat pengaruhterhadap motivasi pelayanan. Secara simultan mentalitas dan kinerja berpengaruh terhadap motivasi layanan publik sebesar 62,0 %. Faktor yang menjadi pendorong untuk melaksanakan nilai-nilai dalam motivasi layanan publik yaitu tingkat pendidikan guru, kepribadian, dedikasi, kemampuan dan kedisiplinan, sedangkan faktor penghambat berasal dari faktor internal yang berasal dari dalam guru itu sendiri.

Abstract

Class Action Research was motivated by a lack of courage and ask the students of class VII student achievement SMP 2 Patean Kendal especially Class VII-A. To overcome this problem researchers use a learning Think Pair Share (TPS) aided media quiz game Who's He (KSD). Formulation of the problem in this study were (1) Is the TPS-assisted learning media KSD game on triangular and quadrilateral material can increase the courage to ask students and student achievement class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Semester II Academic Year 2014/2015 ?; (2) Is the TPS-assisted learning media KSD game on triangular and quadrilateral material for students of classes VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Semester II Academic Year 2014/2015 can achieve mastery programmed? To address the above problems, it is done classroom action research conducted in two (2) cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected through observation, interview and test. The subjects were students of class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Kendal totaling 27 students with a composition of 16 boys and 11 female student. The study was conducted in January to June 2015. The indicators in this study were (1) More than 75% of students courage students to ask bold minimal category; (2) The average value of student achievement of at least 75; (3) More than 75% of students reach the minimum learning achievement KKM is 75. The results showed that the students' courage to ask the brave minimal category increased 34%, from the initial conditions as much as 44% increased to 63% in the first cycle and 78% in Cycle II. The average value of student achievement has increased 23 from the average value of learning achievement in the initial conditions 59 to 72 in the first cycle and 82 in the second cycle. Likewise mastery learning has increased 41%, from the initial conditions of 37% rising to 67% in the first cycle and 78% in Cycle II. The conclusion of this Class Action Research is a learning Think Pair Share (TPS) game media aided KSD on triangular and quadrilateral material can increase the courage to ask students and student achievement class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Semester II Academic Year 2014/2015. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keberanian siswa bertanya dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Patean Kendal terutama kelas VII-A. Untuk mengatasinya peneliti menggunakan pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) berbantuan media permainan Kuis Siapa Dia (KSD). Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Apakah pembelajaran TPS berbantuan media permainan KSD pada materi segitiga dan segiempat dapat meningkatkan keberanian siswa bertanya dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015?; (2) Apakah pembelajaran TPS berbantuan media permainan KSD pada materi segitiga dan segiempat  bagi siswa kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 dapat mencapai ketuntasan yang diprogram? Untuk membahas permasalahan di atas, maka dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 (dua) siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kegiatan observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Kendal yang berjumlah 27 siswa dengan komposisi 16 siswa putra dan 11 siswa putri. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari sampai dengan Juni 2015. Indikator dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Lebih dari 75% siswa keberanian siswa bertanya pada kategori minimal berani; (2) Rata-rata nilai prestasi belajar siswa minimal 75; (3) Lebih dari 75% siswa prestasi belajar mencapai batas minimal KKM yaitu 75. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberanian siswa bertanya dengan kategori minimal berani mengalami peningkatan 34%, dari kondisi awal sebanyak 44% meningkat menjadi 63% pada Siklus I dan 78% pada Siklus II. Rata-rata nilai prestasi belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan 23 dari rata-rata nilai prestasi belajar pada kondisi awal 59 menjadi 72 pada Siklus I dan 82 pada Siklus II. Demikian juga ketuntasan belajar mengalami peningkatan 41%, dari kondisi awal 37% meningkat menjadi 67% pada Siklus I dan 78%  pada Siklus II. Kesimpulan dari Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini adalah pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) berbantuan media permainan KSD pada materi segitiga dan segiempat dapat meningkatkan keberanian siswa bertanya dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Patean Semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.

Abstract

E-learning is a model of learning carried out through the utilization of information and communication technology services such as internet, video/audio conferencing, or CD-ROM. It is a technology-based learning design of computer networks known as the world wide web (www). The design was developed through designing learning materials under a multimedia package and was integrated in a full online interactivity. Any form of learning components such as teaching or evaluation materials were distributed to learners through a computer network (online), so that learners who attended the program must be an IT literate person. In its implementation, e-learning could be applied to various fields of science including library science. Librarians who do such work require the ability and expertise to cataloging, indexing and classification. Web-based learning material helped students understand those materials easily. E-learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang dilakukan melalui pemanfaatan informasi dan layanan teknologi komunikasi seperti internet, konferensi video/audio, atau CD-ROM. E-learning merupakan suatu desain pembelajaran berbasis teknologi jaringan komputer yang dikenal sebagai world wide web (www). Desain ini dikembangkan melalui rancangan materi pembelajaran berdasarkan suatu paket multimedia terintegrasi dalam interaktivitas online. Segala bentuk komponen pembelajaran seperti bahan pengajaran atau evaluasi dibagikan kepada peserta didik melalui jaringan komputer (online), sehingga peserta didik yang mengikuti program ini haruslah orang yang melek IT. Dalam pelaksanaannya, e-learning dapat diterapkan pada berbagai bidang ilmu pengetahuan termasuk ilmu perpustakaan. Pustakawan yang melakukan pekerjaan seperti ini membutuhkan kemampuan dan keahlian untuk katalogisasi, pengindeksan dan klasifikasi. Materi pembelajaran berbasis web membantu siswa belajar dengan mudah.

Abstract

Agricultural extension workers must have several competencies in order to do their job properly.One essential competence to master was related to their andragogic abilities, especially in mastering the concepts of extension and adult education.This research was intended to identify the andragogic competence of agricultural extension workers graduated from Universitas Terbuka (UT). The information of competence aspects such as knowledge, affective, and psychomotor were also collected to elaborate the findings. By using an explanatory research design, a survey technique was implemented among 111 agricultural extension workers who were graduated from UT in four different locations, namely Serang, Karawang, Cirebon, and Tanggamus. Data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed by using descriptive statistics. In depth interview was also conducted to elaborate the findings. The findings indicated that agricultural extension workers graduated from UT generally had a medium level in their andragogic competence, either in implementing the concepts of extention or in adult education. Their level of knowledge and psychomotor was low, while their affective level were moderate.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain information about learning through the ability of inquiry in tracing how scientists discover fluid laws, and how to avoid  misconception in understanding the law of Archimedes in particular and fluid in general. This research was conducted in class XI IPA SMA N 11 Kabupaten Tangerang by integrating project Based Learning Model (PjBL), and the topic is about fluid. The competence measured includes  analyzing the relationship of laws in static and dynamic fluids, and their application in everyday life. The results showed, there is an increase in the understanding of learners in learning Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh informasi tentang hasil belajaryang diperoleh peserta didik melalui kemampuan inkuiri dalam menelusuri bagaimana ilmuwan menemukan hukum-hukum fluida. Sehingga tidak terjadi miskonsepsi dalam memahami hukum Archimedes pada khususnya dan fluida pada umumnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas XI IPA SMA N 11 Kabupaten Tangerang dengan mengintegrasikan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) dengan pokok bahasan fluida, berorientasi pada kompetensi dasar: menganalisis hubungan hukum-hukum dalam fluida statis dan fluida dinamis serta penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, terdapat peningkatan pemahaman peserta didik dalam mempelajari fluida.

Abstract

This study is conducted to analyse the partial and simultaneous effect of professional allowance and teacher competence on teacher performance of elementary school teachers. Data is collected using questionnaire sent to 174 elementary school teachers who received professional allowances. Analysis statistic was done using multiple linear regression. The result of research indicate that professional allowance and teacher competence partially has positif and significant effect on teacher performance. Simultaneously, professional allowance and teacher competence have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, and predicts 87,4% of teacher performance, with the regression equation Y = 42,561 + 0,653X1 + 0,853X2. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh partial dan simultan tunjangan profesi dan kompetensi guru terhadap kinerja guru SD. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang diisi oleh 174 guru sekolag dasar yang telah menerima tunjangan profesi guru. Data analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tunjangan profesi dan kompetensi guru, secara partial, mempunyai pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Demikian pula secara simultan, tunjangan profesi dan kompetensi guru mempunyai pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, dan memberi kontribusi sebesar 87,4%, dengan persamaan regresi = 42,561 + 0,653X1 + 0,853X2.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) intellectual abilities of mentally retarded children in Demakijo State Elementary School (SD) 2 inclusive schools, (2) Obstacles faced by teachers when teaching at Demaijo State Elementary School 2, (3) Teachers' efforts in dealing with intellectual abilities of mentally retarded children in Demakijo State Elementary School 2. The type of approach used in this study is qualitative research with a survey method. Data collection techniques used were through observation and interviews with research subjects one mild retarded grade 1 student at Demakijo State Elementary School 2. The results of the intelligence test with the Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children (WISC) obtained the results obtained scores of 57 Verbal IQ scores included in the IQ score of 57 Mental Retardation category. IQ Performance Score 55 included in the Mental Retardation category. With the total IQ obtained is 55 included in mental retardation. Based on the analysis results contained in the table in general, mild mental retardation children are difficult to manage and do not do the work. Efforts made by teachers when experiencing difficulties in understanding the lessons conveyed by children with mild mental retardation AD is to provide personal guidance, ask questions and answer, and several times be assertive. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) kemampuan intelektual anak tunagrahita di sekolah inklusi Sekolah Dasar (SD) Negeri Demakijo 2, (2) Hambatan yang dihadapi guru ketika mengajar di SD Negeri Demaijo 2, (3) Upaya guru dalam menangani kemampuan intelektual anak tunagrahita di SD Negeri Demakijo 2. Jenis pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitataif dengan metode penelitian adalah metode survei. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakanya itu melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan subjek penelitian satu anak tunagrahita ringan kelas 1 SD Negeri Demakijo 2. Hasil dari tes intelegensi dengan Wechsler Intelligence Scale For Children (WISC) mendapatkan hasil skor yang didapatkan yaitu skor IQ Verbal 57 yang termasuk dalam kategori Retardasi Mental. Skor IQ Performance 55 yang termasuk dalam kategori Retardasi Mental. Dengan jumlah IQ total yang didapatkanya itu 55 termasuk dalam Retardasi mental. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang terdapat pada tabel secara umum anak tunagrahita ringan susah diatur dan tidak mengerjakan tugas. Upaya yang dilakukan guru ketika mengalami kesulitan dalam memahamkan pelajaran yang disampaikan anak tunagrahita ringan AD ialah dengan memberikan bimbingan pribadi, melakukan tanyajawab, serta beberapa kali bersikap tegas.
