Abstract

This research is based on the reality on the ground that there are still many students of SD Negeri 228 Tunreng Tullue having difficulty in appreciating fictional stories. To overcome this difficulty, an action was taken using the CIRC type of cooperative learning. This study aims (1) to determine the implementation of CIRC type cooperative learning in appreciating fictional stories in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 228 Tunreng Tullue, (2) to determine the level of achievement of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 228 Tunreng Tullue in appreciating fictional stories through cooperative learning model type. CIRC, and (3) through the CIRC type of cooperative learning model, it can improve the ability of Class V students of SD Negeri 228 Tunreng Tullue in appreciating fiction stories. This research is a classroom action research with the research subjects are all fifth grade students of SD Negeri 228 Tunreng Tullue, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province, as many as 14 students consisting of 6 girls and 8 boys in 2021.

Abstract

This study aims to describe thematic learning based on linguistic intelligence in the digital era. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method, with pre-field, field, and data analysis steps. Sources of data are sixth grade teachers and all sixth grade students of SDN 007 Tambusai, totaling 24 students consisting of 12 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques used are documentation, observation, and interviews. The research instruments used were teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique was carried out by qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that thematic learning based on students' linguistic intelligence was in the high category. The linguistic intelligence of male students is lower than the linguistic intelligence of female students. The conclusion of this research is that thematic learning based on students' linguistic intelligence is classified as high because teachers who implement thematic learning in elementary schools actually implement thematic learning very well. Further research is needed on the application of other intelligence - based thematic learning.

Abstract

Educational Television Program, such as X-Science Educational TV Program, is one of the government's innovations in providing educational programs for the public. This study aimed to describe the effect of the X-Science Education TV program on the fourth-grade students' science learning outcomes at SDN Pakis V Surabaya. The study was an experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The study subject was fourth-grade students at SDN Pakis V Surabaya. The study instrument was a pre-and post-test using the google form application. The data collection technique was the learning outcome test. The data analysis technique was an independent sample T-test using IBM SPSS 24 application. The test analysis results obtained from the independent sample T-test showed t count > t table value, 2.298 > 2.024. Hence, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The significance value (2-tailed) was 0.027 < 0.05, so there was a significant difference between the control and experimental groups' learning outcomes. The amount effect of the X-Science TV Educational Program on science learning in fourth-grade students at SDN Pakis V Surabaya was 31.06%. Based on the percentage gain, the X-Science TV Education Program positively affects science learning outcomes for fourth-grade students at SDN Pakis V Surabaya.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that there is still a school environment that is not good physically, socially and academically so that it affects students' learning motivation. This study is a quantitative study with a correlation design that aims to determine the relationship between the learning environment in schools and the motivation to learn science for fifth grade students of SD Gugus XXII, Lilirilau District, Soppeng Regency. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the learning environment at school and the science learning motivation of fifth grade students of SD Gugus XXII, Lilirilau District, Soppeng Regency with a t-count value (4.3143) greater (>) t table value (1.67469) which means H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Based on the analysis of the data above, it can be concluded that the learning environment in schools has an impact on students' motivation to learn science in the classroom. So, the better the learning environment at school, the better the students' motivation to learn science. From these conclusions, the impact resulting from this research is known that a good learning environment in schools will increase students' motivation to learn science.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that there are students who sometimes experience problems in developing learning implementation plans on Civics content. The method in this research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The results showed that: 60% of students had good ability in compiling, 20% of students had very good ability, 15% of students had sufficient ability and 5% of students with less ability in compiling an Implementation Plan for Citizenship Education Learning in Elementary Schools. Meanwhile, in terms of student abilities in developing lesson plans components consisting of developing indicators, objectives, materials and learning assessments, they are in the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the increase in learning independence of elementary school students by applying STEAM learning. The research method used is the classroom action research method. This research was conducted in two cycles, where each cycle went through four stages, namely the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were the fourth-grade students of SDN 004 Bangkinang Kota totaling 13 people consisting of 6 male students and 7 female students. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning independence from pre-action to cycle 1 of 6,01%. The increase in student learning independence also shows an increase from cycle 1 to cycle 2 by 20,44%. The overall increase in student learning independence is 26,44%. STEAM learning must continue to be carried out to increase the learning independence of elementary school students. Teachers need continuous assistance in order to apply the STEAM learning model according to the suggested steps.

Abstract

This study is aimed to find students’ perceptions on learning by giving assignment in limited face-to-face learning. In this pandemic time, teaching-learning activity is conducted limited and follows health protocol. One of the teaching-learning activities in the class is by giving assignment. Assignment in this teaching-learning activity is in the English teaching-learning activity context. By giving various kinds of assignments during teaching-learning activities, the researcher will explore more about students’ perceptions. The method used in this research is survey. The research result was the students more understood in doing the assignment when they attended the limited face-to-face learning. Students could also more be able to speak English and wrote in English well based on the assignment given.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the work ethic of teachers in carrying out tasks in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method, with pre-field, field, and data analysis steps. The data sources who are the key people are all 18 teachers of SDN 007 Tambusai, consisting of 5 male teachers and 13 female teachers. The data collection technique used is observation. The research instrument used was the teacher's work ethic analysis sheet and the teacher's task implementation observation sheet. The data analysis technique was carried out using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the discipline and responsibility of teachers in carrying out daily tasks were in the high category. The conclusion of this research is the work ethic of teachers in carrying out tasks in elementary schools is in the high category. The principal's attention is needed to be able to give awards to teachers who have a high work ethic. It is necessary to pay attention to the work ethic of the teachers so that it can be maintained and can be improved in the future. For teachers who have a low work ethic score, continuous coaching and mentoring is needed in order to improve their work ethic which can directly improve the discipline and responsibility of their students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve social studies learning outcomes in fifth grade elementary school by applying the snowball throwing type of cooperative learning model. The approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach, the type of CAR (Classroom Action Research). The results of data analysis showed that learning using the Snowball Throwing Cooperative Learning Model from cycle 1 to cycle II showed an increase where in cycle I learning completeness was 45% of 20 students while in cycle II learning completeness had reached 90%. So it can be concluded that by using the Snowball Throwing Cooperative Learning Model, it can improve the social studies results of fifth grade students at SD Inpres 77 Manurung, Bone Regency

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the ability to mathematical conseptual understanding of elementary school students using problem solving learning models. The research method used in this study was a quasi-experimental design with the non-equivalent groups pretest-posttest design. The sample set in this study was class V students, totaling 48 consisting of 24 experimental classes and 24 control classes. The results showed that the effect toward students’ conceptual understanding ability of experimental class students who studied with problem solving was better than the students’ conceptual understanding ability of control class who studied using direct learning models.
