Abstract

The problem studied in this study is the relationship between the use of learning media and interest learning mathematics. This research is correlational quantitative research that aims to determine significant relationship between the use of instructional media and interest learning mathematics students class IV SD Cluster II. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the use of instructional media and interest learning mathematics class IV SD Cluster II with rcount (0.586) > rtable (0.212), which means H1 accepted. Based on results study, it can be found that the use of learning media has impact on student responses so that it affects  interest learning, especially mathematics. So, increase the use of media, the students' interest learning will increases. The resulting impact is known that the use media according to characteristics and objectives can increase interest learning so that obtain good learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a learning module based on the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach to the material for multiplication and division operations in grade IV elementary school that is valid and practical. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). This study uses the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects in this study were fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 89 Palembang. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The validation process was carried out by 3 experts, namely material experts, media experts, and linguists with an average of 92.5% categorized as very valid. The level of practicality after being tested on students and educators got an average score of 94% so it was categorized as very practical. Thus, it can be concluded that the learning module based on the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach that has been developed is very valid and very practical.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the professional competence of teachers in implementing thematic learning in elementary schools. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method, with preparation/pre-field steps, field work, and data analysis. The data sources who are the key people are all 8 teachers of SDN 010 Tambusai, consisting of 2 male teachers and 6 female teachers. The data collection technique used is the analysis of the teacher's professional competence and observation. The research instrument used was the teacher's professional analysis sheet and the teacher's thematic learning implementation observation sheet. The data analysis technique was carried out using qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the professional competence of teachers viewed from educational background was at a good level. The professional competence of teachers in carrying out thematic learning is at a good level. The conclusion of this research is the professional competence of teachers in implementing thematic learning is at a good level. The local Education Office needs to pay attention to the distribution of teachers who teach at the elementary level. It is necessary to pay attention to the educational background so that the professional competence of teachers can be maintained and can be improved in the future. For teachers who already have a career in elementary schools, continuous training and assistance are needed in order to maintain and improve their professional competencies which can directly improve the competence of their students.

Abstract

The problem in this research is to find out the description of improving student learning outcomes through the question and answer method in social science subjects (IPS) in class IV SD Inpres 5/81 Pattiro Sompe, Bone Regency. This research is a descriptive study with the focus of the research being the 10th grade students of SD Inpres 5/81 Pattiro Sompe, Bone Regency. Data collection with observation, test, and documentation techniques, while data collection with observation techniques to collect data on data analysis activities used is descriptive statistical analysis in the form of percentages and frequency tables. The results obtained by Class IV students of SD Inpres 5/81 Pattiro Sompe, Bone Regency, in general, experienced an increase in learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) through questions and answers by paying attention to aspects, namely: (a) increasing learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS), (b) able to ask questions to the teacher or other students. Meanwhile, the efforts taken by teachers in the field of Social Sciences (IPS) in improving the learning outcomes of fourth grade students, namely (a) training students to dare to ask questions, (b) training students to answer.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the CTL model to improve student learning outcomes in SDA Class IV UPT SDN 81 Mattiro Bulu Materials, Pinrang Regency. The approach used is a qualitative approach. The type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The focus of this research is the focus of the process and student learning outcomes on natural resource materials by applying the CTL model. Data collection techniques used are observation, tests, and documentation. The subjects of this study were teachers and students consisting of 25 students. The implementation of this classroom action research is planned to consist of four components, namely: 1) Planning, 2) Action, 3) Observation and 4) Reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of the research in the first cycle were in the Less category and there was an increase in the second cycle, namely the presentation of learning outcomes in the good category and had reached the predetermined indicators. The conclusion in this study is that applying the CTL model can improve the learning process and learning outcomes in natural resource materials for Class IV students of UPT SDN 81 Pinrang.

Abstract

Covid-19 is an obstacle for all groups and is also a health crisis for humans in the world. In the world of education, Covid-19 has had a tremendous impact. This implies that the task of a teacher is so heavy in order to prepare students to achieve the educational goals that have been outlined. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative using SPSS version 20.0. The role of the teacher is now very important considering the learning process can no longer meet face to face. Teachers must really make every effort so that students can understand the material presented online. From the results of the research and the results of data analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there is an effect of online learning on teacher performance

Abstract

 Abstrak. This study aims to increase students' self-confidence by using the direct learning model in elementary schools. The research method used is the classroom action research method, with the steps of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were 22 students, consisting of 10 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. The research instrument used was the teacher activity observation sheet and the student activity observation sheet. The data analysis technique was carried out using quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that there was an increase in students' self-confidence from pre-action to cycle 1 by 30%. The increase in students' self-confidence also occurred in cycle 1 to cycle 2 by 10%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the direct learning model can increase the overall self-confidence of students by 40%. The direct learning model with video media needs to be continued by the teacher because with the direct learning model with video media students become more confident in participating in learning. The use of video media can facilitate the needs of elementary school students who are still thinking at a concrete operational level.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the implementation of character education in the learning process of Cultural Arts and Crafts (SBdP) which is still less effective. The approach used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that the process of developing character values that occurs in the learning of Cultural Arts and Crafts (SBdP) class V includes the values of nationalist and independent characters. The biggest problems for teachers in developing student character in learning are the carrying capacity of character education at home and in the student's environment, the level of student creativity intelligence in learning, and the lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure for learning. Therefore, the solution that teachers do to overcome these problems is to socialize with parents and the community about the importance of inculcating character values in students, encouraging students to take part in extracurricular and artistic activities, and looking for teaching materials to support learning Arts, Culture and Crafts. (SBdP).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical communication skills in terms of interest in learning for fourth grade students with GeoGebra-assisted ethnomathematical learning. This research is a mixed methods research with a sequential explanatory design. The results showed that learning with Problem Based Learning containing ethnomathematics based on local culture assisted by GeoGebra on students' mathematical communication skills in terms of high learning interest showed good results from all indicators. Students' mathematical communication skills in terms of interest in learning are showing good results as well. Furthermore, students' mathematical communication skills in terms of low learning interest showed good results, this is because students have not been able to solve the problems that are in each indicator of mathematical communication skills. So that it can be concluded, PBL learning containing ethnomathematics assisted by GeoGebra fourth grade students of SDI Tamalanrea I Makassar is proven to be effective on the mathematical abilities of fourth grade students of SDI Tamalanrea I Makassar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze 1) Effect of parenting style on the students’ character. 2) Effect of peers on the students’ character. 3) Role of family’s social economic in moderating the influence of parenting style on students’ character. 4) Role of family’s social economic in moderating the influence of peers on students’ character. This research is a quantitative research. Population of this study were all fifth-grade students of SDN Liliriaja District. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling technique with two stage random sampling. Methods in collecting data are questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study are 1) Parenting style has a significant effect on students’ character by 75.7%. 2) Peers has a significant effect on students’ character by 79.8%. 3) Social economy doesn’t has a significant role in moderating the effect of parenting style on students’ character. 4) Social economy has a role in moderating the influence of peers on students’ character by 81%. Thus, to shape good character of students, parents must apply appropriate parenting styles to students, and supervise students in the association of their peers, so they are not influenced by bad peers that will affect the character of students.
