Abstract

This study aims to find out how in implementing STAD type cooperative learning model to increase student’s motivation and Mathematics learning achievement, its strengths, and weaknesses, as well as its effectiveness when implemented in XI Science class at SMAN 3 Bantul academic year 2013/2014. This was a classroom action research which was followed by an effectiveness test. The classroom action research was conducted in two cycles, where each includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The effectiveness test was conducted by using Kirkpatrick’s evaluation model with four levels of evaluation, namely reaction, learning, behavior and results evaluations. The instrument used were questionnaires and tests and the data collection techniques were questionnaires, tests, observations, and in-depth interviews. The quantitative data were analyzed the mean scores of the questionnaires, the achievement data was analyzed the completeness percentage derived from the tests, while the qualitative data was analyzed using the classification, narratives, comparisons and causality techniques. The results of the research showed that applying STAD type cooperative learning model could increase class XI Science students’ motivation and achievement of Mathematics learning at SMAN 3 Bantul academic year 2013/2014. STAD type cooperative learning model implemented among the students of XI Science class at SMAN 3 Bantul academic year 2013/2014 included classroom presentation, group study, and quizzes. STAD type of cooperative learning model also showed advantages. Students could complement one another and understood the material better, and the more important, they would have to do prior preparations before classes.  Additionally, they also felt happy and continuous interests. Yet, it also posed some disadvantages like less varied sample exercises, the need for more time, student’s lacks of confidence and student’s difficult to focus. STAD type cooperative learning model was proven to be effective in improving student’s motivation and achievement.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) the Influence of compensation, discipline and infrastructure work on the performance of teacher of Tamansiawa Foundation. Kebumen, (2) the Influence of compensation on the performance of teachers working at Tamansiawa Foundation Kebumen, (3) the influence of discipline on the performance of Teacher of Tamansiawa Foundation Kebumen, (4) the influence of Infrastructure on the performance of Teacher of Tamansiawa Foundation Kebumen. The population in this study was all teachers at Tamansiawa Foundation. Kebumen. Determination of the number of the subject of the sample in this study using a nomogram Harry King and the number of sample in this study was 148 teachers. The sampling method used was proportionate random sampling. Data obtained by distributing questionnaires to 148 respondents and then the data were analyzed and by using the software Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16 with multiple regression and partial analysis. The research results, conclude that: (1) There is a positive and significant Influence of compensation, work discipline, and infrastructure simultaneously on teacher performance, meaning an increase in compensation, discipline, and infrastructure influence the performance of teachers. (2) There is a positive and significant influence partially compensation work on teacher performance, meaning that the higher compensation that is given will make the higher the performance. (3) There is a positive and significant influence of discipline partially on teacher performance, meaning that the higher the level of work discipline that is applied to make the higher the performance of the teacher. (4) There is a positive and significant influence of infrastructure partially on teacher performance, this indicates a good infrastructure will create a comfortable and healthy so it can work better, as well as infrastructure that supports the complete facility will be able to improve the performance of the teacher.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya miskonsepsi dan faktor-faktor penyebab miskonsepsi dalam pembelajaran IPA ruang lingkup materi dan sifatnya yang terjadi pada peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Joannes Bosco Yogyakarta tahun akademik 2014/2015. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan teridentifikasikannya jenis-jenis miskonsepsi yang dialami peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Joannes Bosco Yogyakarta mata pelajaran IPA ruang lingkup materi dan sifatnya dengan materi pokok atom, ion, dan molekul adalah sebagai berikut : (1) massa, muatan listrik, dan letak netron di dalam suatu atom, (2) kaitan antara jumlah proton, netron dan electron dengan nomor atom dan nomor massa, (3) kaitan antara model dan lambang suatu atom dengan nomor atom dan nomor massa, (4) pengertian, contoh, dan proses pembentukan ion, anion, dan kation, serta kaitannya dengan jumlah proton dan electron, (5) model ion poliatomik dan pengertian ion poliatomik, (6) pengertian, contoh, rumus kimia molekul, molekul unsure, molekul senyawa, molekul unsure poliatomik. Adapun penyebab dari miskonsepsi yang dialami peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Joannes Bosco Yogyakarta adalah : (1) tidak dapat membedakan materi yang partikel-partikel penyusunnya terdiri dari satu jenis atom, yang merupakan ciri dari unsure, (2) kesulitan untuk menghapalkan massa, muatan listrik, dan letak dari partikel-partikel di dalam suatu atom seperti proton dan netron, (3) tidak dapat membedakan antara nomor atom dan nomor massa sehingga dalam menghitung jumlah proton, netron dan electron terjadi kesalahan, demikian juga dengan model dan lambang atom suatu atom, (4) tidak dapat membedakan antara ion, anion, dan kation, sehingga terjadi kesalahan dalam proses pembentukannya dan kaitannya dengan jumlah proton dan electron, (5) tidak hapal dengan rumus kimia dari atom, molekul unsur, molekul senyawa, molekul unsur poliatomik Identification of misconsepsi in learning IPA scope of material and its nature in SMP Joannes Bosco Yogyakarta class VIII teaching date 2014-2015 AbstractThis survey study are aimed to identify the misconception and the factors causing misconception in science learning for the subject of material and its propertiesfor 8thgrade students of Joannes Bosco Junior High School Yogyakarta Academic Year2014-2015. This study succeed to identify the types of misconception in science learning for the subject of material dan its properties focusing on atom, ion, and molecule; they were related to: (1) mass, electrical charge, and potition of neutron in atom, like proton and neutron, (2) the relation between proton, neutron dan electron with atomic and mass number of atom (3) the relation between model dan symbol of atom with atomic and mass number of atom, (4) the definition, example, bulding proses of ion, anion, and kation, and its relation with the number of proton dan electron, (5) poliatomic ion model and its definition, (6) the definition, example, molecule symbol of molecule, element, compound, and polyatomic molecule. There were some causes of misconception in science learning for the subject of material dan its properties for 8thgrade students of Joannes Bosco Junior High School Yogyakarta Academic Year2014-2015: (1) unable to understand the material consisted of one atom which is the characteristic of one element (2) difficult to remember mass, electrical charge and potition of neutron in the atom (3) difficult to differenciate atomic and mass number of each atom causing miscalculation related to the number of proton, neutron, and electron even the model and symbol of atom, (4) unable to differenciate ion, anion, and cation causing a problem in forming process of ion and its relation to the number of proton dan electron, (5) unable to remember the symbol of atom, molecule, compound, polyatomic molecule.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran kimia belajar kimia dengan penerapan model Problem based learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA-8 SMA N 1 Bantul semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 dengan jumlah 34 siswa yang terdiri dari 14 siswa laki-laki dan 20 siswa perempuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, jurnal harian, angket peserta didik, wawancara , dokumentasi dan tes. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan motivasi dan hasil belajar konsep kesetimbangan kimia melalui model pembelajaran PBL (Problem BasedLearning) yaitu 77.70 pada siklusI, dan 86.90 pada siklus II. Ketuntasan belajar siklus II mencapai 94.11% telah memenuhi kriteria belajar tuntas dengan nilai lebih atau sama dengan 75 lebih dari 85%. Kesimpulan, penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik dan guru dapat mengimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran di kelas.AbstractThe purpose of this study is to improve the motivation and learning outcomes of learners on chemistry learning chemistry with the application of Problem Based Learning model. This research is a classroom action research with subjects class XI IPA 8 students at SMA N 1 Bantul in the first semester of academic year 2016/2017 with the amount of students 34 peoples that consists of 14 boys and 20 girls. The data collection is done by using observation sheets daily journal, student questionnaire, interviews, documentation and testing. Descriptive data were analyzed qualitatively through several stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research Increase The Result of Student’s Learning Equilibrium Chemical Concept Via PBL’s Learning Model (Problem Based learning) the average of the student study result in the first cycle is 77,70, the second is 86,90. The second cycle showed 94.11% met the criteria studied thoroughly with the value of more than or equal to 75 of more than 85%. In conclusion , the use of model Problem Based Learning can improve motivation and learning achievements of learners and teachers can develop and implement the model of learning in the classroom.

Abstract

This research aims to know (1) The influence of principal supervision, work motivation by Principal and principal discipline on the performance of technology and engineer vocational school teacher at the public vocational high school in western Bantul in 2013/2014. (2) The influence of principal supervision on the performance of technology and engineer vocational school teacher at the public vocational high school in western Bantul in 2013/2014. (3) The influence of work motivation by the principal on the performance of technology and engineer vocational school teacher at a public vocational high school in western Bantul in 2013/2014. (4) The influence of principal discipline on the performance of technology and engineer vocational school teacher at a public vocational high school in western Bantul in 2013/2014. The population of this research was 160 teachers of the vocational high school teacher at technology and engineer competence in western Bantul in 2013 / 2014 such as SMK N 1 Sedayu, SMK N 1 Pandak, SMK N 1 Sanden. The sampling of this research used proportional random sampling technique of 110 teachers. Data was collected using questionnaire which has been tried out to 30 teachers and has fulfilled the validity requirement with Pearson correlation technique and the reliability requirement with alpha Cronbach technique. The technique of data analysis was used descriptive analysis multiple regression and the partial correlation was started by analysis pre-requirement test that was multicollinearity, linearity and normality test. The result of research analysis shows that the teacher performance is at the high category, principal supervision is at the high category, work motivation by the principal is at the high category, principal discipline is at the high category. The result of multiple regression analysis shows 1) There is the influence of principal supervision, work motivation by the principal, and principal discipline on the performance of technology and engineer vocational school teacher at a public vocational high school in western Bantul in 2013/ 2014. It means that the higher principal supervision, work motivation by the principal and principal discipline will make the teacher performance is higher too. The result of partial correlation analysis shows that (2) There is a positive influence which is significant of principal supervision on the performance of the teacher. It means that higher principal supervision will make the teacher performance is higher too. 3) There is a positive influence which is significant of work motivation by the principal on the performance of the teacher. It means that higher work motivation by the principal will make the teacher performance is higher too. 4) There is a positive influence which is significant of principal work discipline on the performance of the teacher. It means that higher principal work discipline will make the teacher performance is higher too.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Implementasi model peer tutor untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar pada pelajaran Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK), (2) Kelebihan dan kekurangan Model Peer Tutor untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar pelajaran TIK, (3) Efektivitas Model Peer Tutor untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan prestasi belajar pelajaran TIK pada semester kedua tahun 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Peer Tutor, yang ada tahapan dalam setiap langkahnya. Keempat tahap tersebut adalah perencanaan, implementasi, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes writting, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa telah mencapai kriteria yang telah ditentukan oleh peneliti. Berdasarkan kuesioner yang diharapkan motivasi siswa pada akhir siklus ke 2, meningkat dibandingkan dengan siklus I. Ada 70,6% siswa mendapat kriteria “Very High”. Sementara untuk aspek pencapaian siswa rata-rata skor rata-rata 86 pada akhir siklus ke 2 dan ada 94,1% siswa mencapai Kriteria Kelengkapan Minimum. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah proses pembelajaran TIK dengan menerapkan Model Peer Tutor telah terbukti mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar, dan prestasi belajar di kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta. Implementation of Peer Tutor Model as Efforts to Improve Motivation and Learning Achievement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Class VIII of Yunior Hight School 9 YogyakartaAbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe (1) The implementation of peer tutor model to improv motivation and learning achievement at Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lesson, (2) The advantages and disadvantages Of Peer Tutor Model to improv motivation and learning achievement of ICT lesson, (3) The effectiveness of Peer Tutor Model to improv motivation and learning achievement of ICT lesson at the second semester of 2016/2017. This study is a Classroom Action Research which the aim was to improve the learning process quality. This study used Peer Tutor model, that there were for stages in every step. The four stage were planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data were collected throught observation, writting tests, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study showed the student motivation had achieved the criteria that had been determined by the researcher. Based on the questionnaires that student motivation acpect at the end of 2nd cycle, increased comparing to 1st cycle. There were 70,6% students got “Very High” criterion. Meanwhile, for the student achievement aspect the scorem average was 86 at the end of 2ndCycle and there were 94,1% students reached the Minimum Completeness Criteria. Conclusion of this research was the ICT learning process by implementing Peer Tutor Model had been proved be able to improve learning motivation, learning achievement in class VIII E SMP Negeri 9 Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The research aims to understand: (1) The combined influence of Principal academical supervision, school working atmosphere, and working discipline on Yogyakarta city Special School Teachers working satisfactory, (2) The influence  of principal academical supervision to Yogyakarta city Special School teachers working satisfactory, (3) The influence of school working atmosphere on Yogyakarta city Special School teachers working satisfactory, and (4) The influence of working discipline on Yogyakarta city Special School teachers working satisfactorily. The population in this research is all Yogyakarta City’s Special School Teacher, counted as 208 teachers. The research sampling method was using proportional random sampling using 137 teachers selected by Harry King monogram with a level of significance at 5%. The data was gathered using survey tested on 30 teachers qualified in terms of validity via Pearson Correlation technique and reliable based on alpha Cronbach value. The data were analyzed by means of double regression and partial correlation after it was tested in the prequalification analysis by means of multicollinearity, normality and also linearity test. The research analysis shows the principal academical supervision and working satisfaction was categorized on a higher level as well as school working atmosphere whereas working discipline was on a high level only. The double regression analysis revealed: (1) There is a positive and significant influence from principal academical supervision, school working atmosphere, and working discipline combined together on Yogyakarta City’s Special School teachers working satisfactorily. It means that the better principal academical supervision, school working atmosphere, and working discipline generate better teachers working satisfactorily. The partial correlation analysis revealed (2) There is a positive and significant influence from principal academical supervision on Yogyakarta City’s Special School teachers working satisfactory, meaning that the better principal academical supervision create better school teacher working satisfactory, (3) There is a positive and significant influence from school working atmosphere on Yogyakarta City’s Special School teachers working satisfactory meaning that the better school working atmosphere create better school teacher working satisfactory, and (4) There is no a positive and significant influence, partially, on working discipline level with school teachers working satisfactorily. It means that either high or low, working discipline doesn’t give significant effect on teachers working satisfactorily.

Abstract

This study is aimed at (1) finding out the suitability of the curriculum in SD Negeri Karangrejek II with the arrangement guide of 2013 curriculum, (2) finding out the suitability of the learning program planning of2013 curriculum, (3) finding out the suitability of learning process implementation in 2013 curriculum,(4) finding out the suitability of the learning result evaluation in 2013 curriculum, and (5) finding out the obstructing factors of the implementation of 2013 curriculum in SD Negeri Karangrejek II Wonosari, Gunungkidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. This research is included in the evaluation with distance model. The implementation measurement is done by comparing the ideal condition with the real condition about the standard implementation of 2013 curriculum. The data in this research is collected by using document study in the curriculum, learning plans (syllabus and lesson plan), and evaluation; conducting an observation on the learning implementation components, and some interviews on the obstructing factors. The data collection can be classified into two categories, which are the interactive model and non-interactive model. The interactive technique consists of interviews and observations, while the non-interactive technique consists of analysis, documents, and archives. From the research result, it is concluded that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in SD Negeri Karangrejek II Wonosari, Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta is suitable to the implementation standard of 2013 curriculum. The curriculum in SD Negeri Karangrejek II has been composed based on the KTSP curriculum arrangement guide. The learning plans (syllabus and lesson plan) are composed by the teachers who are trained about the process standard of 2013 curriculum. The learning processes conducted by the teachers are not optimum in using the integrative theme approach and scientific approach. The evaluations on attitudes, knowledge, and skills done by the teacher are not carried out well, especially on attitude and skills evaluation. The obstruction of the 2013 curriculum is that the training material is not suitable yet with the curriculum implementation, the difficulties in carrying out the themed curriculum, the evaluation procedures which are still very complex, daily test, mid-semester test, and semester test became the scores in the final report.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui cara yang dilakukan guru untuk mengukur sikap tanggung jawab  para siswa,(2) mengembangkan instrumen  yang baku/ layak untuk mengukur sikap tanggung jawab para siswa,(3) mengetahui  kecenderungan sikap tanggung jawab siswa SMP Negeri 2 Gamping dengan alat ukur model kuisioner yang dihasilkan. Penelitian ini adalah menggunakan jenis penelitian dan  pengembangan(Research and Development) atau sering disebut R&D. Langkah-langkah penelitian ini dimulai dari (1) observasi dan wawancara pada beberapa guru dan menyusun produk awal;(2) Selanjutnya untuk di validasi dan dilakukan uji empirik beberapa kali sampai terbentuk instrumen final yang valid;(3) implementasi hasil instrumen final sikap tanggungjawab.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) yang dilakukan guru dalam mengukur sikap tanggungjawab belum terstandar,(2) peneliti telah menyususn insturmenyang baku dengan butir-butir yang valid 47 dengan nilai reliabiltas sebesar 0,945 dan uji analisis faktor  memdapatkan nilai KMO-MSA sebesar 0,762 dan terbentuk 10 faktor, (3) kecenderungan sikap tanggungjawab siswa SMP Negeri 2 Gamping termasuk berkecenderungan tinggi dengan nilai mean sebesar 150,59. AbstractThis study aims to (1) find out the ways in which teachers measure students 'attitudes, (2) develop a standard/feasible instrument to measure students' attitudes, (3) find out the attitudes toward the responsibility of Gamping 2 Public Middle School students with a questionnaire model measuring instrument produced. This research is using the type of research and development (Research and Development) or often called R & D. The steps of this study start from (1) observation and interviews with several teachers and compile the initial product; (2) Next to be validated and conducted empirical tests several times until a final, valid instrument is formed; (3) implementation of the final instrument results The results of this study indicate that (1) the teacher does in measuring the attitude of responsibility has not been standardized, (2) the researcher has arranged a standard installation with valid items 47 with a reliability value of 0.945 and a factor analysis test obtained a KMO-MSA value of 0.762 and 10 factors were formed, (3) the tendency of the attitude of responsibility of students of Gamping 2 Middle School including high tendency with a mean value of 150.59.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi: (a) perencanaan pembelajaran, (b) pelaksanaan pembelajaran, (c) penilaian dan (d) faktor pendukung dan penghambat implementasi Kurikulum 2013 di SMA N 9 Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan evaluasi CIPP dari Stufflebeam difokuskan evaluasi proses. Subyek penelitian adalah warga SMA N 9 Yogyakarta, obyek penelitian aktivitas pembelajaran Kurikulum 2013. Teknik pengumpulan data: dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data adalah kualitatif komparasi. Kesimpulan: (a) Perencanaan pembelajaran sudah sesuai dengan pedoman, pencapaian penyusunan silabus tertinggi 100%, pencapaian penyusunan RPP tertinggi 96.62, (b) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran sudah sesuai dengan pedoman, ketercapaian tertinggi 91.29%, (c) Pelaksanaan penilaian sudah sesuai dengan pedoman, namun terkendala pada penilaian sikap, (d) Faktor pendukung adalah semua guru sudah mendapat pelatihan, dukungan sarana dan prasarana, input siswa tinggi, keaktifan guru dalam MGMP, dan peran orangtua. Faktor penghambat: belum adanya pemahaman tentang implementasi Kurikulum 2013 secara menyeluruh, perlunya pemahaman model pembelajaran, penilaian, soal HOTS, dan penggunaan IT.The evaluation curriculum 2013 implementation This study aims to evaluate the: (a) planning, (b) action, (c) assessment and (d) supporting and inhibiting of the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in SMA N 9 Yogyakarta. This study was an evaluation study of CIPP evaluation model from Stufflebeam that was focused on process evaluation. The research subject was the learning activity by using Curriculum 2013 with research object was the students of SMA N 9 Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques used documentation, observation, and interview. Data analysis technique used qualitative with a comparative method. Conclution: (a) the learning planning had been accordance with the guidance with the highest achievement 100%, the achievement of composition with the highest lesson plan component 96.62%, (b) Implementation of learning had been accordance with the guidelines, the highest achievement 91.29%, (c) Implementation of the assessment had been accordance with the guidance, but there were still obstacles of attitude assessment, (d) The supporting factors were all teachers had gotten the practices, facilities and infrastructure support, high student input, activeness in the MGMP, and the role of parents. The inhibiting factors are the comprehension of the comprehensive implementation of Curriculum 2013, the understanding of learning models, assessment, HOTS questions, and the ability to use IT
