Abstract

Education is essentially an activity carried out by students which results in changes in themselves. This principle implies that what must be prioritized is the learning activities of students instead of something that is given to students. STEM-based learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) can train students to apply their knowledge to create designs as a form of solving environmental problems by utilizing technology. The learning model recommended for use in the 2013 curriculum is a student-centered learning model, one of which is the Project Based Learning model. This study will analyze how much influence STEM education with the PjBL model has on student learning outcomes. This study uses a meta-analysis method. determined via the Effect Size (ES). Research data were obtained from 25 national and international journals. The meta-analysis study is based on three categories, namely education level, subjects and student learning outcomes. The results showed that; first, the influence of the PjBL model of STEM education based on the level of education is most effective in SMP. ES value = 1.89 and categorized as high. Second, based on the type of subject, the most effective influence of the PjBL model of STEM education is Mathematics. ES value = 3,7 and categorized as high. Third, based on student learning outcomes, the influence of the PjBL model of STEM education is the most effective in the aspect of skills. ES value = 1.68 and categorized as high.

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2017 menuntut siswa untuk bisa memahami konsep materi yang dipelajarinya di sekolah. Miskonsepsi sering terjadi pada materi getaran harmonis, namun belum tersedia tes diagnostik miskonsepsi. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, dibutuhkan instrumen four-tier multiple choice test untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan desain four-tier multiple choice test yang valid. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian pengembangan (development research) menggunakan model pengembangan Plomp.  Pada penelitian ini dibatasi pada dua dari tiga tahap model Plomp yaitu penelitian pendahuluan  (preliminary reseacrh), dan tahap pengembangan (development or prototyping phase) sampai uji validitas (expert review). Instrumen pada penelitian pendahuluan adalah tes konsep dan panduan wawancara guru, sedangkan pada tahap pengembangan digunakan lembar self evaluation dan lembar validasi. Teknik analisa data menggunakan teknik koding, analisa statistik deskpritif dan formula V-Aiken untuk validitas. Pada tahap penelitian pendahuluan diperoleh hasil bahwa kebanyakan siswa tidak memahami konsep dan sebagian lain mengalami miskonsepsi, dari wawancara guru diperoleh informasi belum tersedia instrumen tes diagnostik untuk mengetahui pamahaman konsep siswa. Pada tahap pengembangan, hasil uji validasi indikator pencapaian kompetensi, rata-rata kelayakan isi diperoleh 83% dengan kategori sangat valid, kelayakan konstruksi  77,50% dengan kategori valid, dan kelayakan bahasa 80% dengan katergori sangat valid. Berdasarkan item soal, diperoleh semua item soal baik aspek kelayakan isi, konstruksi, dan bahasa berada pada kategori valid. Hal ini menunjukkan instrumen tes four-tier multiple choice telah valid dan layak  digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi getaran harmonis.

Abstract

21st century life confronts us with increasingly complex problems. Therefore, learning is expected to create students who are critical, active, independent and have good  abilities in solving problems encountered. One way to achieve this goal is through learning that uses physics modules based on the Problem Based Learning model. Research on the development of PBL model based  physics modules has been widely carried out by previous researchers. Therefore, research is needed to analyze and compare some of the research that has been done related to the development of physics modules based on PBL models for high school students. This research uses a meta-analysis method. The purpose of this study is to analyze the value of the validity and practicality of the PBL model-based physics module, as well as to analyze the effect of the PBL model in terms of learning material and student skills. Based on the results of the study it can be understood that: 1) The average validity of the 13 articles analyzed is 0.87 with a very high category, 2) The average practicality of the 5 articles analyzed is 0.86 with a very high category, 3) The PBL model has a moderate effect on all material on the 13 articles analyzed, with the highest influence on the material temperature and  heat (effect size 0.63). Likewise with the skills of students, PBL models have a moderate effect on the skills of students as a whole, but it is more effective to improve science process skills by obtaining an effect size value of 0.58.

Abstract

The Integrated Model teaches science through a process not just a mere conceptual presentation so that students are given the opportunity to find their own answers so that students can more easily understand the lessons given by the teacher. Integrated learning as a unifying learning activity that combines several subjects at once in one face-to-face, to provide meaningful experiences for students. Through a student-centered and fun learning atmosphere, so that children are motivated to learn. This study aims to analyze and compare the effect of the integrated model on science learning in terms of education level and student learning outcomes. This study used a meta-analysis method that examined 15 articles. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative data analysis because narrative research data has been found. Based on the research results it can be seen that: The integrated model is more effectively applied at the junior high school level with an effect size value of 1.33 (very high category) and at the elementary level with an effect size value of 0.88 (high category). and integrated learning, the integrated model also has an impact on the learning outcomes of elementary and junior high school students' knowledge and skills.

Abstract

West Sumatra is one area that has the potential to be hit by drought. Prolonged drought has an impact on crop failure of agricultural land and decreased food reserves and can affect national food stability. An understanding of drought disasters can be provided through drought disaster mitigation and included in learning media used in schools. One of the learning media that supports learning from home to avoid the current Covid-19 pandemic is the e-module. The general purpose of this research is to produce an e-module based on physics-based inquiry-based integrated learning drought mitigation to improve the competence of students with valid, practical, and effective criteria. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The e-module development refers to the Plomp development model. The Plomp development model consists of three stages, the preliminary research phase, the development or prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. The data of this research are needs analysis data, validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The assessment instruments are questionnaires, analysis sheets, validation sheets, practicality sheets, self-assessment sheets, objective questions, and performance appraisal sheets. The data analysis techniques used are preliminary research analysis, validity analysis, practicality analysis, and effectiveness analysis. The result of the research is an inquiry-based learning-based high school physics e-module that integrates drought disaster mitigation to increase the competence of students with valid, practical, and effective criteria. The research implies that the integrated high school physics e-module based on Inquiry-based learning on drought mitigation can be used as a medium for learning physics in high school so that teachers have a variety of learning media.

Abstract

In 21st century education demands the creation of quality human resources. The government's efforts in dealing with 21st century results are using the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. One of the goals of the 2013 curriculum is to improve student learning. Increasing learning outcomes can be done using learning resources in the form of modules. Currently there are many studies on the   effect of integrated science modules on student learning outcomes. Several studies have different    results, so the research results need to be presented with a meta-analysis method. Thus, the purpose of this study is to analyze and compare the size of the effect of the integrated science module on learning outcomes. The analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative analysis. This research uses 25 journals consisting of international and national journals. From the journal, several indicators were obtained, namely grade level, material, learning, integrated models, and applied learning. Based on the results of research resulting from the effect of the use of an integrated science module which is effectively used in learning which can be seen from student learning outcomes in integrated science learning.

Abstract

In the 21st century the world entered the era of globalization as a result of the development of Science and Technology (Science and Technology). This is marked by competition in various fields of life. For this reason, it is demanded that everyone can master the science and technology and be able to adapt to their environment.. Learning physics in the 21st century is different from before. The 21st century, known as the technology age, requires teachers to have teaching skills, including utilizing technology in learning). Physics is one part of natural science that underlies the development of science and technology. Physics is the study of natural phenomena related to matter and energy. This study aims to analyze the effect of virtual laboratory media on student competencies in terms of education levels and physics learning materials. The research method is a meta-analysis with a sample of 17 articles in national journals and 3 articles in international journals. The instrument used in this study was the code sheet and the effect size calculation. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that: 1) Virtual laboratory media provides a high positive influence on student competence (0.84), 2) the influence of virtual laboratory media on student competencies based on education levels is more effectively used at high school education levels and 3) the influence of media virtual laboratory on the competence of students based on physics learning material very high influence (1.17) on alternating current material.

Abstract

The 21st century continues to experience developments, including in the world of education. The development of the 21st century in the world of education poses more complex challenges. The most important thing that students must have in the 21st century is a knowledge base and deep understanding and develop various other abilities. One of the abilities that students must have in the 21st century is the ability to think creatively, not least in learning science. Science learning is related to events that occur in nature. Therefore, a strategy is needed for teachers to build students' creative thinking skills so that students can gain the right knowledge. One way that can be used to improve students' creative thinking skills is to use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. Based on research that has been conducted in class VIII SMP IT Darul Hikmah, it is known that the PBL model is effective in improving knowledge competence and students' creative thinking abilities

Abstract

The curriculum is very important factor in the world of education. In order for the success of the 2013 curriculum in the learning process to run well, it is necessary to implement the use of the 2013 curriculum. In this case, student worksheets are selected as sources and teaching materials that will be used in the learning process. Based on the preliminary analysis, most of the outstanding student worksheets contain a summary of the material that is not attractive and also has not used the right model and has not been integrated in 21st century learning. In addition, integrated science using student worksheets in the 2013 curriculum is also packaged in an integrated manner on character building through character education. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to see the effectiveness of student worksheets in integrated science learning using integrated PBL in 21st century learning which is reviewed in the attitude competency aspects of students. The research was conducted in class VII.4 Junior High School of 4 Pasaman. The data used in this study were primary data, namely data obtained through a questionnaire, while the character assessment instrument consisted of self-assessment sheets which were carried out using assessment sheets. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the integrated student worksheets with the theme of energy in daily life using integrated PBL 21st century learning has been effectively used by students in the learning process to achieve the attitudinal competence.

Abstract

This research is based on the low creative thinking skills and the teaching materials used in the lessons have not facilitated the student to increase their creative thinking skill. The aims of this study was to determine the value of validity of basic electronics module integrates creative thinking in electronic circuit materials using transistor and application. The type of research used is research and development (R&D). The research procedure used in this study uses the ADDIE development model. The research steps include : analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation. While the data analysis used is descriptive data analysis. Based on the data analyzed there are research results, namely the average value of validity of basic electronics module integrates creative thinking by experts with an average value of 86% and have very valid criteria. It can be concluded that basic electronics module integrates creative thinking in electronic circuit materials using transistor and application are very valid for use in basic electronics learning for physics student.
