Abstract

This study aims to determine the meta-analysis of the development of integrated learning modules in environmental literacy in terms of validity, practicality and effectiveness. This research method is a meta-analysis method. The population in this study are all written documents regarding educational research that discuss modules with integrated environmental literacy. The sample used was 10 journals consisting of national and international journals. Data collection techniques in this study using documentation techniques. The instrument for data collection is an observation sheet with data coding . The average value of validity of the ten journals is 0.80 with a valid category, while the average practicality is 0.61 with a high practicality category. Effectiveness test to determine the effect size of each journal in terms of levels of education, subjects and influence after use. Based on the level of education the highest effect size at the level of junior high school with a value of 1.28, for subjects that are science with a score of 0.71, while for the aspect of influence after use there is an attitude of environmental care with a value of 1.62. Thus the integrated learning module environment literacy is valid, practical and effective to be used for junior high school level, natural science subjects and can improve students' environmental care attitudes.

Abstract

Humans are required to have broad insight, think critically, and be able to adapt to 21st century developments, especially in the field of education. The 2013 curriculum was created to change the mindset of students and the conceptual mastery of learning material was increased and meaningful. For that, we need integrated learning resources to support the implementation of learning. However, the problem is that the integrated science teaching materials in schools are still not integrated. One solution to overcome this problem is by analyzing the effect size of the effect of integrated science printed teaching materials on students' knowledge competencies. The type of research used is the effect size analysis. Effect size analysis is a way of summarizing and analyzing research data from several previous research results. The articles of this research consist of 20 articles. The instruments used were category codes and effect size calculations. The data analysis technique used in this study was to calculate the effect size of each article based on the mean, standard deviation, and t test. Based on the data analysis, four research results can be stated. First, integrated science printed teaching materials are equally effective at the seventh grade and eighth grade junior high school level. Second, integrated science printed teaching materials in the form of modules, books, LKS/LKPD, and teaching materials are effectively applied in science learning in junior high schools. Third, integrated science printed teaching materials have a significant influence on materials in junior high school science learning. Fourth, integrated science printed teaching materials are effective in increasing students' knowledge competencies with an effect size of 1.73. So, it can be concluded that integrated science printed teaching materials have a significant effect on students' knowledge competencies.

Abstract

The 2013 education curriculum suggests providing space for the development and implementation of modern education such as a STEM-based educational approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). The type of research used is journal analysis. Research data collection was carried out by researchers by browsing articles contained in online journals. The journals analyzed in this study amounted to 20 journals published in 2016-2020, with details of 6 international journals and 14 national journals. The effect of STEM learning on science and physics subjects at high school education with an effect size of 0.20, at junior high school level with an effect size of 0.75 and having an effect on elementary education with an effect size of 0.85.The effect of STEM learning on science and physics subjects based on the model shows that the PPA learning model effect size is 0.62, the PBL model effect size is 0.58, for inquiry learning model the effect is 0.61.The effect of STEM learning on science and physics subjects based on the competencies achieved, it was found that the ES score for critical thinking achievement was 0.27, ES creative thinking was 0.81, ES critical thinking was 0.81, and for problem solving the ES score was 0.58.

Abstract

The aims of this study was analyze the effect of integrated science teaching materials with literacy to increase students' knowledge. This research method is a meta-analysis with a sample of 25 national and international educational journals. This article will reveal why it is important to develop teaching materials with literacy in view of educational studies. Things that need to be considered are the abstract, content, and conclusions of each journal. A meta-analysis study examines the effect of integrated science teaching materials with literacy based on education level, teaching material, and literacy content, research findings show that integrated science teaching materials filled with literacy is effective in improving student learning outcomes. Based on the type of integrated science teaching materials, worksheets with literacy have a high effectiveness value in improving student learning outcomes. The effect of integrated science teaching materials with literacy is effectively used to improve student learning outcomes when viewed from the literacy aspect. The effect of integrated science teaching materials with literacy content to improve students' understanding of using network structures and functions more effectively. Based on the level of education, the effect of integrated science teaching materials with literacy is more effectively used in class VIII to improve students' understanding.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of the 2013 curriculum which states that the 2013 curriculum was developed based on the challenges of advancing information technology, the rise of creative and cultural industries, and the development of education at the international level. Then, an innovation is needed in the form of developing learning models, learning resources and learning media that are in line with the demands of the 2013 curriculum, including LKPD as a simple learning resource that is easily understood by students, project based learning learning model as one of the recommended learning models in Curriculum 2013 and can improve the competence and creativity of students, and tracker applications as IT-based learning media that can compete at the level of international education. The purpose of this study is to produce project-based learning based learning LKPD with tracker application with scientific approach on Simple Harmonious Motion material with effective criteria. The LKPD that was developed was effective in improving students' competencies including knowledge competencies (84.13), attitude competencies (82.55), and skills competencies (83.48). The results of the study can be concluded that the LKPD developed is effective in improving the competence of students and can be applied to a broader scope.

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve students' knowledge and science process skills by using PhET simulation assisted by worksheets based on discovery learning models. The research method used is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII.5 SMPN 14 Padang in the 2020/2021 semester II academic year, totaling 30 people. This research was carried out in two learning cycles, with the stages in each cycle being planning, action, observation/evaluation, and reflection. This research is said to be successful if the average value of the student's scientific process ability is 80. The data that has been collected was analyzed descriptively. The results of data analysis can be stated that the use of PhET simulation assisted by LKPD based on the discovery learning model can improve student learning outcomes which include aspects of knowledge and science process skills. Data analysis 1) aspects of students' knowledge in the first cycle obtained an average value of 65.25 with a standard deviation of 8.45 while in the second cycle it was 80.45 with a standard deviation of 12.35; 2) the aspect of science process skills in the first cycle is 75.67 with a good category while in the second cycle is 90.50 with a very good category. Thus, the use of PhET simulation assisted by LKPD based on the discovery learning model has had a positive effect in increasing knowledge and skills of science processes.

Abstract

One of the goals of education related to character is that education must be able to instill character, that the function of education in Indonesia is to create human characters. Character education in students can be done through education, one of which is through teaching materials. Teaching materials that contain character values can make students master the targeted basic competencies. The type of research used in this study is a meta-analysis by testing 20 articles. This study analyzes and calculates the magnitude of the effect of teaching materials based on character values. Based on the results of the article analysis, it can be concluded that First, teaching materials with character have an effect on learning outcomes, especially the knowledge aspect with an effect size of 1.17. Both teaching materials with character are more effectively applied at the junior high school level with an effect size of 1.41 in the high category. Third, teaching materials with characters have a meaningful effect on the type of teaching material, namely student worksheets with an effect size of 1.55 high categories. Fourth, teaching materials with effective characters are used at the high school level, namely, dynamic electricity with an effect size of 1.78, while at the junior high school level with material / themes of straight motion; energy and effort; simple plane; style; Newton's Laws; pressure; atoms, ions and molecules with an effect size of 3.03 categories high.

Abstract

The implementation of physics learning is still not optimal so that it affects the achievement of students' competencies. One of the reasons is the use of teaching materials that have not met the demands of the 2013 Curriculum. The teaching materials used still do not contain learning models and approaches, besides that, students' critical thinking skills are still categorized as low. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of using physics teaching materials based on a problem-based learning model using the CTL approach to improve students' critical thinking. This type of research was conducted by pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique. The research instrument consisted of a written test for knowledge competencies and a performance appraisal for skills competencies. The data analysis used includes descriptive statistical analysis, normality test analysis, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing for the similarity of the two means. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be stated that the use of physics teaching materials based on the problem-based learning model using the CTL approach has a significant effect on the competence of knowledge and skills, as well as the critical thinking ability of students.

Abstract

The focus of this research study is a meta-analysis of the effect of Discovery Learnings Model on students' scientific literacy. This paper will reveal the importance of Discovery Learnings Model  in the science and physics learning process in junior and senior high schools. The articles analyzed in this paper are articles obtained from various sources. The things learned start from the abstract, the contents and conclusions of the research. The method used is meta-analysis. The results of this study are a summary of the application of the  Discovery Learning Model developed. Abstract

The research was conducted based on field observations. The research conducted was educational research so that the observations were carried out in schools, namely high schools in the city of Padang. Observation activities refer to the learning system, implementation of learning and the practicality of educators in teaching and using teaching resources or textbooks. Observations were carried out by distributing questionnaires, interviews and field observations directly to educators and to students. The results obtained during the observation were that the students' books used had not been integrated with creative thinking skills. In addition, the available student books had not used the model in the 2013 curriculum that should have been applied in schools. This has an impact on the satisfaction of students in receiving learning. The results of the distributed questionnaires found that all aspects asked related to the learning system were below 80%. This is categorized as low for the SMA Negeri level in the city of Padang. Therefore, the development of student books by using models in the 2013 curriculum, one of which is the Problem based learning model to improve students' creative thinking skills, is deemed necessary. The formulation proposed in this study is how to develop a student book with a Problem Based Learning model that integrates practical high school students' creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to develop a student book with a problem based learning model that integrates creative thinking skills to improve the creative thinking skills of high school students. The research carried out includes R&D research with the development model used is the 4D model. The investigation carried out was the level of practicality of student books which were developed using a practicality questionnaire of educators and students which contained the benefits of use, time efficiency, ease of use and attractiveness. The research was carried out at SMAN 16 Padang. The research process was carried out well. Practical analysis of students and educators is carried out by analyzing the completed questionnaire and looking for the percentage of the implementation of the questionnaire given.The results obtained after the research from the analysis of students' book practicality questionnaires from the results obtained from the students' practicality sheets got very practical results and the teacher's practicality got very practical results. Aspects of ease of use and time efficiency get results in the practical category, while aspects of benefit and attractiveness get very practical results from educators and practical from students so it is stated that the student books developed are practical.
