Abstract

The study aims to determine the interest of entrepreneurial students taught using Production Based Training (PBT) learning models and students taught using live learning. To learn the learning outcomes of high-entrepreneurial interests. The method used in this study was experimentation using factorial research design. The design used is 2x2 factorial design, as this design can be used to see students ' learning outcomes before they are given learning and after learning. The results of the study found that: (1) Student learning outcomes using PBT learning models are significantly higher than those using MPL;(2) Learning results of students who have a high entrepreneurial interest using PBT learning models and by using a higher MPL significantly in comparison to learning outcomes of low-entrepreneurial interests that use Model of PBT Learning and using MPL: (3) There is a significant interaction between learning models and entrepreneurial interest in student learning outcomes. The study concluded that: (1) The PBT learning model can increase the interest of entrepreneurial students; (2) Students who have a high entrepreneurial interest, higher learning outcomes than students with low entrepreneurial interest rates; and (3) there is an interaction between learning models and entrepreneurial interests in student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms of emotional, social values of children aged 5-6 years and their implementation with a parent engagement program. The subject of research children aged 5-6 years group B in the Sugihwaras kindergarten in Sidoarjo Temple with a total of 7 children and their parents. The research approach used is qualitative data collection techniques through observation, documentation, and interviews and field notes as well as the use of Cresswell's data analysis which is processing data and preparing data for analysis, reading all data, coding data, applying the results of the coding process and finally describe the results of the data during the study. The findings of this study will be tested for truth by using triangulation techniques. The findings of this study indicate the results that the Parental Involvement in the Children's Emotional Social Value Program in TK Darussalam Sugihwaras Sidoarjo Temple is carried out through the social-emotional value program by involving parents in the TK institution. Parental support has benefits and a big contribution to the education of their children. Throughout bonding activities, cooking classes, parenting, curriculum preparation, habituation activities at home, and modeling to develop children's emotional values according to their age stages and abilities. The involvement of parents in children's emotional, social value programs at every school institution should be fully socialized. Given the participation of parents is needed in the child's emotional, social process. Support, appropriate stimulation, and opportunities to explore children can grow and develop good social-emotional values of children.

Abstract

This study tries to understand the method of playing finger painting on the ability of creativity and express language of children aged 5-6 years. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental quantitative method "Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design" in TK Kec. Sukolio Surabaya with a sample of 107 children. Research data obtained through observation, work and documentation, and then analyzed using statistics with ANOVA test with the help of SPSS 25 for Windows. The results showed the  method of playing finger painting   proven  creativity, as evidenced from the Anova test the Fcount value of 187,516 is greater than the Ftable of 3.15. The  method of playing finger painting proven  against express language, as evidenced by the Anova test the Fcount value of 160,922 is greater than the Ftable of 3.15. While  The  method of playing finger painting influences creativity and expresses language, it is evident from the MANOVA test that the Fcount value of 165.122 is greater than the Ftable value of 3.15. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that  The  method of playing finger painting on creativity and express language for ages 5-6 years, and can develop children's abilities with creativity and language of children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate Indonesian teachers' perspectives of translation or first language used in ELT classrooms as well as to find out the teachers' strategies on how to incorporate translation as their pedagogical tool. This research is applied in a case study methodology, in which the researcher interviewed three English teachers in Indonesia to explore their perspectives. The raw data was analysed by using thematic analysis to find the emerging themes of the interview data which led to the result of this qualitative research. The result of the finding indicates that the teachers mostly have positive perceptions about TILT (translation in language teaching). Most participants believed that when translation use selectively, it can help students with foreign language learning, promote students' metalinguistic awareness, function as a thinking tool, mediate social interaction, and function as social mediation. Additionally, the strategies of TILT applied by the teachers in this study entail explaining difficult concepts and grammar, avoiding chunks of word translation, and nurturing students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It is suggested that if translation is integrated into language teaching, it should be used selectively as a pedagogical tool to support students’ learning.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a Critical Literacy model for Management Economics department’s Students of economics and business faculty of UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur in Arranging Final Project to Avoid Plagiarism. The research method uses a qualitative and quantitative approach which is applied research with case studies. The research’s location is in Management Economics department’s Students of economics and business faculty of UPN "Veteran" Jawa Timur. The data sources are students, lecturers and administrative staff in Management Economics department. Primary data are questionnaire results and data from interviews. Secondary data are from documents, observation data, and media. The implementation of data collection in the field is regulated through the following strategies, (a) the determination of informants by purposive sampling (for key informants) and snow ball for informant development, (b) interviewing informants, (c) taking notes, (d) asking descriptive and structural question, 5) conducting interview analysis, (e) making domain analysis, (f) finding themes according to the research problem, (g) surveying to students. The research checks the data validity by using data source triangulation techniques. The research conclusions are formulated a critical literacy model that can be applied by economics management study program Management Economics department’s students in preparing Final Project to avoid plagiarism; 1) students prepare topics; 2) students look for references that are relevant to the topic; 3) students start to compile scientific papers (Final assignment) with the correct paraphrasing, quotation, and citation/bibliography techniques; 4) check plagiarism; 5) Similarity tolerance with maximum of 30%; and 6) Final assignment avoids plagiarism.

Abstract

The post-millennial generation or currently known as the Z generation, is the generation born in the 2000s, the future generation born in the Internet age. This post-millennial generation does not like rigid rules, tends to think creatively and openly and is very easy to comment on. An important point in dealing with the post-millennial generation by providing specific direction for understanding ethics in social life. In the learning process, post millennial generation has visual characteristics, tries and sees the results of the process, wants the teacher as a facilitator, learning starts with "how", and is very easy to get information / knowledge. This is a challenge in determining the right learning strategy for them. With the problem-based learning method it is expected that students / vocational high school (SMK) students will be able to create something different to produce rewards in the form of money as well as personal satisfaction and freedom. Students are required to understand the importance of maintaining health by maintaining and protecting food hygiene, through controlling environmental factors that can or can cause illness and health problems.

Abstract

Flipped Classroom learning strategy is a strategy designed by the teacher in preparing for learning before face to face in class / at home through learning videos then reflecting on the results of learning in the classroom with discussion and work on assignments (The Flipped Learning Network, 2014). Flipped classrooms require careful preparation so that learning videos that are made interesting, high quality, and can be understood by students without face to face. While students, on the other hand, must have access to an internet connection. With the problem based learning method it is expected that students/ vocational high school (SMK) students will be able to create something different to produce rewards in the form of money as well as personal satisfaction and freedom (Drucker, 1999). In entrepreneurship, students must understand the importance of maintaining health by maintaining and protecting food hygiene, through controlling environmental factors that can or may cause illness and health problems.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The direct effect of motivation on creativity; (2) the direct effect of Job Satisfaction on Creativity; and (3) the direct influence of motivation on job satisfaction. This study uses a survey method with a quantitative approach which is carried out using a path analysis technique. The unit of analysis in this study was all ASN Educators at SMA Negeri Region II Jakarta Barat with a sample size of 98 people selected with regard to a level in the population element (stratified random sampling). The results showed that: (1) there was a positive direct effect between motivations on creativity; (2) there is a positive direct effect between job satisfactions on creativity; and (3) there is a positive direct effect between motivations on job satisfaction.

Abstract

The aimed of this study is to describe the functions and politeness strategies of command directive and requesting speech acts in Japanese business emails. In line with the objectives of the study, the method used was descriptive qualitative. The data source in this study is Japanese business email in the field of education. Then, the data were collected by referring to the note taking technique, the replace technique, and the determining element. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that speakers use more politeness strategies to express the intention of command than request. In addition, it also found differences from the directive speech act for requesting and the directive speech act for commanding i.e. on the choice of the interlocutor to do or not do the speaker's wishes. In directive speech acts for request, the interlocutor to have more choices not to do what the speaker wants. Whereas the directive speech acts for command, the opponents feel burdened and have little choice not to do what the speaker wants
