This research is a quantitative study with a quasi-experimental method. The population of this study is the X grade students of SMK Negeri 3 Surakarta in the academic year 2017/2018. Samples were obtained by using cluster random sampling technique consisting of two classes namely X PM 1 class as the experimental class with problem-based learning and X PM 3 class as the control class with STAD learning. The technique of collecting data uses a multiple choice test to determine students' critical thinking skills. Data Analysis is using MANOVA. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence between the learning model on critical thinking skills. The application of the problem-based learning model proved to be more able to improve students' critical thinking skills compared to the STAD learning model.

This study aimed to investigate the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve Kiswahili teaching and learning at the University of Dodoma. The objectives of the study were: To identify the experience of using ICT devices in teaching general language, to examine the use of ICT in Kiswahili language classes and suggest innovative ICT tools to teach and spread Kiswahili. The study employed social learning theory of Bandura. The study used a descriptive survey design to answer the research questions. Purposive sampling was used to choose key informants. Documentaries, interviews and focus group discussion were used for teachers and students to collect data and documentary reviews used to provide further information. The results showed a limited use of ICT in teaching and learning of general languages and this adds up into poor access of existing installed language laboratory. The results also showed minimal use of ICT in Kiswahili language classes to the extent that majority of the students preferred to use Kiswahili in the computers, laptops and mobile phones. However, the study came up with various innovative ICT tools such as web based learning and improved language lab to teach and spread Kiswahili language. This can be done through ICT tools such as computer use, mobile phones and accessing the internet through language apps.

Developed trainer simulator is able to improve cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains of learning outcomes. Questionnaire and student achievement test were used as research instruments. Data analysis was performed to determine the level of validity, practicality and student learning outcomes which include learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. This research found some evidence (1) There was no significant difference in cognitive domain learning outcomes using the 4E FTE engine simulator trainer which was compared to learning outcomes using the engine stand with a mean value of 82.36 and for the engine stand class with a cognitive mean value of 80.55; (2) Based on affective domain learning outcomes for students who use the 4E FTE engine simulator trainer perspective, there were significant differences compared to students who learn using the engine stand, with an affective domain mean value of 85.64, mean engine stand of affective value 84.62, and; (3) There was no significant difference between the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using the 4E FTE engine trainer simulator with the engine stand on psychomotor student learning outcomes. The mean value of the psychomotor domain was 79.39 while the mean value of the psychomotor was 78.64.

Responsible environmental behavior can be built through knowledge of ecological concepts and intention to act toward the environment. This study aims to investigate the effect of knowledge of ecological concepts and intention to act toward responsible environmental behavior of senior high school students. The method used were survey through causal studies and analysis was used path analysis. This study used three variables i.e. ecological concept knowledge (exogenous variable/X1), itention to act (exogenous variable/X2), and environmental responsibility behavior (endogenous variables /X3). The subject were 165 students from grade XI of mathematics and science. The result of hypothesis showed that the path coefficient X1 to X3 was 0,817, X2 to X3 was 0,838, X1 to X2 was 0,832, and X1 to X3 through X2 was 0,70. Knowledge of ecological concepts and intention to act has a direct effect toward responsible environmental behavior of students. Intention to act can be said as the mediated variable between knowledge of ecological and responsible environmental behavior.
