Abstract

Many researchers have found that there is a significant influence of the main components of capital structure on corporate leverage and company profitability. The studies conducted generally only examine a single relationship, so the conclusions obtained are not comprehensive. Based on this, this research will examine the effect of simultaneous capital structure such as growth opportunities (PP), company size (UP), tangible assets (AT), company liquidity (LP), and business risk (RB) on Debt Equity Ratio (DER) ) and the influence of capital structure such as growth opportunities (PP), company size (UP), tangible assets (AT), company liquidity (LP), and business risk (RB) on Debt Equity Ratio (DER) of general insurance companies in Indonesia and leverage on the profitability of general insurance companies in Indonesia. The analytical method used in this study is the path analysis method. Through the path analysis method will be known the magnitude of the causality relationship between variables. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that growth opportunities (PP), company size (UP), and company liquidity (LP) negatively affect Debt Equity Ratio (DER). Tangible assets (AT) and business risk (RB) have a positive effect on Debt Equity Ratio (DER). Whereas Debt Equity Ratio (DER) has a negative effect on the profitability of general insurance companies (PRO) in Indonesia. Related to the profitability of the analysis results it is known that growth opportunities (PP), company size (UP), reliable assets (AT), company liquidity (LP), and business risk (RB) have a positive effect on the profitability of the company (PRO) of general insurance in Indonesia.

Abstract

Culinary students faced difficulties in implementing proper table manner at hotel due to their lack of knowledge of how actual implementation of table manner should be. The purpose of this study was to develop Adobe Animate-based interactive learning media about table manner. This study employed Research and Development by Thiagarajan (1974). The data were collected through interview and questionnaire (need analysis and feasibility measurement). The subjects were students and lecturers of Culinary Study Program. The data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis. Adobe Animate-based interactive learning media about table manner was needed by students and lecturers according to their needs. The developed media consists of front display (university logo, material topic, and four buttons linked to the next page), materials, videos, and quiz. The feasibility test result of the developed media according to the material experts, media expert and students was respectively 4.45 (very feasible), 4.4 (very feasible), and 4.44 (very high acceptability). The developed media namely Adobe Animate-based interactive learning media about table manner is very feasible to be used as a learning media.

Abstract

Mastery of technology is an obstacle for teachers in implementing learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, especially in disadvantaged areas. Offline learning makes teachers easily bored and has difficulty designing creative, effective and efficient learning. Likewise with students, if the learning methods and media are monotonous, the process of understanding the material will be difficult and less than optimal. This study aims to determine the level of validity and practicality and to produce E-Learning media based on the LMS Google Sites Materials on Socio-Cultural Diversity in Indonesia Class V at Labschool UNESA 2 Elementary School. This research is Research and Development with a quantitative research type. Study carried out at Labschool UNESA 2 Elementary School with a sample of 33 students and 2 validators (media experts and material experts). Technical data collection using interviews and questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the level of validity of the E-Learning media based on Google Sites learning management system (LMS) from material experts and media experts respectively obtained a percentage of 93.75% "very valid" and 72.75% "valid". Meanwhile, from the practicality test by teachers, 92% "very practical" and 98% students "very practical". E-Learning media based on Google Sites LMS and as an alternative learning media on Socio-Cultural Diversity in Indonesia for grade V Elementary School can be declared feasible and practical. E-Learning media based on Google Sites LMS and as an alternative learning media on Socio-Cultural Diversity in Indonesia grade V Elementary School can be declared feasible and practical.

Abstract

This study is motivated by a lack of expertise in curving practice after learning theoretically. Of course, this makes learning conditions very difficult and ineffective with insufficient theoretical material to provide guidance to students in practice. Therefore, the research was conducted to develop a website-based learning media that can be accessed anytime and anywhere with the aim of improving curving skills in culinary arts courses. In this study, the Sugiyono development model has been simplified, the steps are:  (1) preliminary studies, (2) Product design, (3) Product Validation, (4) Product revision, (5) Product trial, (6) The final product. The sample in this study were students of the 3rd semester of the Catering Study Program. The sample in this study were students of the 3rd semester of the Catering Study Program. Data analysis techniques by analyzing the results of media and material expert validation questionnaires and analyzing the effectiveness of website media on students. It is known from the research results, website-based learning media in Culinary Arts courses are good and feasible to use.

Abstract

Making this learning media aims to determine the results of the manufacture and feasibility of learning media for electric motorcycle brake lights. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. The subjects used were media experts and material experts consisting of two lecturers and two automotive engineering experts. The object of this research is students and the media of electrical circuits. Data collection techniques in this study used the methods of observation, interviews and questionnaires. The study was conducted at SMK Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe with a periods of 6 months. Based on the results of data analysis carried out, the results of the study are in the form of the potential to make an electrical circuit for a motorcycle brake light system. The validation of learning media in this study obtained the average percentage value of the two validators of media expert I 100% and media expert II 90%. Furthermore, validation of the guidebook obtained the average value of the two validators material expert I 87% and material expert II 82%. In addition, the results of student responses with an average percentage value of 85%. Based on the four validators and student responses, it was shown that the electric motorcycle brake light learning media with the category was very feasible to use.

Abstract

This study aims to create a Culinary Risk Register (CRR) for prospective culinary entrepreneurs compiled based on the identification of the risks that exist in the culinary business. It is hoped that this CRR can be used as an alternative practical guide for those who want to open a culinary business, in order to mitigate the occurrence of business failures. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with 34 respondents. The indicators of the instruments were set up from the 4 risk categories, while Pareto Principal was use to analyse the data. The results is that there are 13 main risk factors which are necessary to be consider to open culinary business, out of 54 risk factors verified by the respondents. Among the 4 risk categories (financial, strategic, hazard, and operational risk), financial risk is the most prominent risk factor to be consider. There are two point that can be concluded from this research. Firstly, financial risk is the most prominent risk factor that must come into consideration in opening culinary business, among the others 3 risk categories. At the opening or existence stage is a critical phase, an entrepreneur is busy promoting the products, gathering and convincing customers, providing good service quality that will take some times before the entrepreneur can obtain regular customers as well as increase the number of new customers. A business failure and bankruptcy may happen anytime at this stage, if there is no well financial arrangement. It is quite recommended that a prospective entrepreneur must have adequate cash flow or sufficient capital and a projected cash flow of the business. Secondly, this research produces a list of culinary risks (CRR) which contains 13 risk factors that need to be considered in opening a culinary business.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the educational policies issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and the decisions taken by Senior High School 1 Rupat (SMAN 1 Rupat) as an effort to continue education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data was collected by means of literature study, interviews, documents and observations. Data analysis was carried out by adopting an interactive model from Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show that flexibility is the goal of the issuance of policies and decisions taken by the government and schools with the aim of maintaining student safety from Covid-19 and minimizing the impact of learning loss. The challenge in the future is to find a model of resilience that can be maximized to restore Indonesian education.
