Magistra Andalusia: Jurnal Ilmu Sastra (2656-6230) is a scientific journal managed by the Postgraduate Literature, Faculty of Humanity, Andalas University, Indonesia. <![CDATA[Mungka District has a variety of traditional art forms that are still alive and growing. Silek or randai is not documented as a good medium, making it disappear from the community both old and young. Whereas the various forms of art in this case are the Minangkabau Silek as one of the main elements in Randai art, having local wisdom values but are less in demand, especially towards the younger generation. Therefore, documentation of retention of the Minangkabau silek in the traditional Randai arts is very necessary to maintain the existence of the art, as well as increasing the value of traditional and cultural tourism in West Sumatra because it can be re-broadcasted with various electronic media. Documenting the traditional art of Silek in Randai can be done by going directly to the field and introducing it to elementary schools as teaching material in the field of Natural Culture, Minangkabau. This study uses a qualitative method. The instruments to be used are observation, interviews, questionnaires, and direct observation, analysis, and writing of research results. From this documentation it was found that young people became interested again to reprint or reproduce the forms of documentation Silek in Randai to be used in the education world or traded as a cultural asset.]]>

<![CDATA[Kajian ini membahas tentang peran strategis tradisi (sastra) lisan sebagai pelestari ekologi sekaligus promosi destinasi wisata tempatan. Tradisi (sastra) lisan banyak jenisnya, namun pada intinya merupakan kebiasaan yang diteruskan secara lisan dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Saat ini tradisi lisan dianggap sebagai cerita atau legenda belaka yang berisi mitos tentang suatu tempat yang tidak dapat dibuktikan kebenarannya, misalnya. Akan tetapi tanpa disadari oleh masyarakat pendukungnya, tradisi lisan itu telah memberikan legitimasi pelestarian ekologis dan destinasi wisata pada lingkungannya. Pembahasan ini menggunakan perspektif materialisme budaya dengan ontologi tradisi atau cerita lisan yang terdapat di berbagai daerah di Indonesia, khususnya Sumatera Barat. Berdasarkan analisis teks dan konteks cerita tersebut ditemukan bahwa dibalik cerita yang sudah mentradisi itu terdapat fakta materil lokasi tumbuhnya yang tidak dipahami oleh masyarakatnya. Bukan mitos itu yang dijadikan misi penggubah cerita, melainkan upaya mempertahankan eksistensi ekologi lingkungan tempatan. Seiring dengan perkembangan nalar dan kebutuhan manusia menumbuhkan keingintahuan. Untuk membuktikan kebenaran cerita tradisi tersebut mereka berkunjung sekaligus rekreasi di lokasi yang dikisahkan dalam cerita. Secara lisan atau melalui kemajuan teknologi tradisi lisan itu diekspos di dunia maya sehingga tersebar informasi tentang keunikan lokasi tersebut. Hal itu menyebabkan banyak orang berkunjung, maka berkembanglah lokasi itu menjadi destinasi wisata. Dengan demikian, tradisi lisan bermanfaat untuk keberlanjutan bumi dan manusia.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by which forms of character motifs in the Jakarta Jingga Karya Ria N novel in interacting. Motive is one of the reasons or encouragement of people to behave in certain ways. So in this research, focus on the shape of the character's motives in this novel. The purpose of this research is to describe the motifs of the characters in the Jakarta Jingga Karya Ria N. Badaria novel. This motif uses Maslow's theory (in Sobur 2013: 274). This type of research is qualitative. The method in this research is content analysis. The data used in this study are quotes related to character motifs in the Jakarta Jingga novel by Ria N. Badaria, while the data source in this study is the Jakarta Jingga Karya Ria N. Badaria novel. Data analysis techniques in this study are, describing the data based on character motifs. The findings contain five types of character motifs in the Jakarta Jingga Karya Ria N. Badaria novel. First, physiological motives. Second, the motive for feeling safe. Third, love and motives that are already owned. Fourth, the motif of appreciation. Fifth, self-actualization motives.]]>

<![CDATA[Berbicara tentang dominasi laki-laki di sistem patriarki tentunya tak lepas dari kaum perempuan yang selalu saja mengalami penindasan akibat dominasi tersebut. Salah satunya seperti yang tertuang dalam novel Surfacing karya Margaret Atwood. Namun ternyata, novel Surfacing tidak hanya mengemukakan gambaran penindasan perempuan secara gamblang dalam bentuk karya fiksi. Novel Surfacing adalah suatu bentuk sastra penentang terhadap penindasan perempuan di Kanada sebelum tahun 1970an. Untuk dapat menganalisa permasalahan tersebut, digunakan Kritik Sastra Feminisme The Second Sex oleh Simone de Beauvoir dan dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa, Pertama, novel Surfacing merupakan suara feminis radikal yang menentang objektifikasi terhadap perempuan. Kedua novel Surfacing tergolong pada sastra penentangan terhadap subordinasi ekonomi. Ketiga, novel Surfacing sebagai sastra penentangan terhadap eksploitasi tubuh.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to describe aspects and characteristics of postmodernism in the novel Orang-orang Bloomington by Budi Darma. This study uses a descriptive approach. The method, which is collecting data, reading, and analyzing data. Based on the results of the study, the aspects of postmodernism were found, namely parody and camp, while the characteristics of postmodernism were found, namely the aspect of reducing admiration for science, capitalism, and technology , and shifting dominance. ]]>

<![CDATA[In this era, writing is not enough to be done expressively with personal spontaneity, but need to be done collaboratively by considering aspects of the desired goals. One of them is when writing is done to fulfill economic goals as the basis of a community's creative industry. With the concept of a creative industry whose estuary is to produce economic products made from creative ideas, writing in Wadas Kelir Literacy Community (KLWK) is carried out with a planned collaborative working model based on creative industry standards of economic value. From here, the results of research that have been carried out are: first, writing collaboration begins with market research studies in an effort to identify trends in children's books that are being sought after by publishers and readers. Second, the formulation of themes and ideas is carried out in the discussion space and cooperation for the division of writing work. Third, the results of the writing work are reviewed and edited by a team of experts to identify the strengths and the weaknesses. Fourth, the book manuscript offer to publishers is carried out by a separate management who continues to carry out partnership work with publishers. Fifth, involved in efforts to distribute book sales through online stores that create trust in the community of publishers.]]>

<![CDATA[AbstractThis research discusses the formulation system and the functions found in Mantau as one of Jambi?s oral literature. The writer applies the formula?s theory from Parry-Lord and the function?s theory from Alan Dundes. The writer finds two types of formula in Mantau, there are the repetation of words and the use of the name of places around Kerinci. <![CDATA[The benefits of studying history, in addition to remembering the past, are also valuable lessons for future generations. Through history, the younger generation knows the cultural treasures of the nation so that they can preserve them. One of the original arts belonging to West Kalimantan is the traditional theater mendu. This theater was successful at the beginning of its emergence (1876 AD) until the Japanese colonial era. After that it was dim because society was forbidden by Japan to gather and associate. Mendu was bloated again and became the belle of the 80's which was driven by the maestro Sataruddin Ramli (1948 - 2015). However, this particular art of West Kalimantan is now only a memory. This research aims to describe the golden age of West Kalimantan's traditional theater. The method used is descriptive qualitative form with a literature study approach. The results of the study describe (1) the glory period from the beginning of the emergence of the mendu to the Japanese occupation (1876 - 1942), (2) the traditional theater of the mendu became the belle of the community (1980s - 2000s). Factors that cause the mendu golden period include because in the past the world of entertainment was not yet sophisticated and modern, the characteristics of the traditional and simple community, the story that was served favored by the community at that time, the participation of the Regional Government of West Kalimantan, as well as coaching was held for the younger generation.]]>

<![CDATA[ Kabupaten Purwakarta salah satu kabupaten di Jawa Barat yang memiliki kebudayaan dan sejarah yang menarik. Kabupaten Purwakarta sebagai kota industri mengalami perkembangan yang pesat pada berbagai sektor tak termasuk di bidang pariwisata. Saat ini pemerintah Kabupaten Purwakarta akan resort bertaraf internasional bernama Kampung Air Mbah Jawer di Kecamatan Sukasari Kabupaten Purwakarta. Pemberian nama Mbah Jawer menimbulkan pro dan kontra di kalangan masyarakat karena nama tersebut dianggap mengerikan dan penuh mistis. Bagi masyarakat Kabupaten Purwakarta khususnya di sekitar Waduk Jatiluhur nama Mbah Jawer membuat bulu kuduk berdiri. Cerita rakyat ini berkembang turun menurun dan dipercayai oleh masyarakat tanpa tahu persis kapan dan siapa yang mengetahui awal mula cerita tersebut. Cerita ini berawal dari lahirnya seorang anak yang memiliki jengger (Bahasa Sunda: Jawer) di dahinya mirip jawer ayam. Karena malu orang tua tersebut membuang anak tersebut ke aliran sungai citarum. Sejak peristiwa tersebut masyarakat sekitar mempercayai bahwa Mbah Jawer penguasa Waduk Jatiluhur. Seiring berjalannya waktu nyatanya modernisasi tidak melekangkan mitos Mbah Jawer yang disebut penyebab tenggelamnya orang setiap tahun. Apabila ditelaah lebih lanjut dibalik cerita mistis Mbah Jawer memiliki nilai-nilai positif yang layak dijadikan literasi bahan ajar penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah khususnya di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai budaya dari segi nilai sosial dan nilai religious pada cerita rakyat Mbah Jawer di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. In addition to cultural degradation, the negative impact of globalization is lifestyle changes that are not following the values and norms of Indonesian society. At that time, religious values play an important role as a stronghold of negative things. The purpose of this study is to describe religious values by modern society amid globalization in the novel Impian Amerika by Kuntowijoyo. The data of this study are sentences or paragraphs describing the defense of religious values by modern society. The data source of this research is the Impian Amerika novel by Kuntowijoyo. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the technique of collecting recorded data and study of literature. Data analysis techniques using content analysis techniques. This research is important to do because, with the knowledge of religious values, a person will avoid negative things. Religious values will protect us from negativity. ]]>
