Abstract

Pragmatism could be understood as an approach whose position is equal to the other approaches in literary studies. Pragmatism focussed discussion on the role and readers functin totally. Cultural studies has to do with the whole aspects of human?s life as a method to undertand cultural changes and its effect in social life. The Text of Wasiat Renungan Masa-Pengalaman Baru as literary objection this research was understood in cultural changes and the previous phenomenon was a prat of field discusiion of cultural studies wich could be done by decoding organic structure which shapes it (diction), function (das sein=reality), and the meaning (das sollen=idealisme). Research data ws collected trough transcription tehnique because the text of Renungan Masa-Pengalaman Baru is a lingual symbol (forms) to understand meaning and function. Analysis and data interpretation used phenomenology approach. It was conclued that the pragmatism of Wasiat Renungan Masa-Pengalaman Baru composed by Hamzanwadi was understood through pattern realtions function and meaning.  Culture decentring was someone?s emotion expression to keep expectation to one he loves, communication for a reality which have to be faced, satire toward unconciousness on life reality. Pragmatism constituted idea guidance and good deeds, direction and goal of noble strugle, warning to the unappropriate events, inspirations the new appropriate  one, basic and good behaviour standard in choosing and selecting life struggle instruments.  Key words: Wasiat Renungan Masa-Pengalaman Baru, Pragmatism, Culture Studies

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas pengaruh gawai terhadap pemerolehan bahasa anak usia 4 tahun dengan analisis sintaksis kalimat deklaratif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yaitu penelitian yang dipaparkan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini memaparkan tentang ketidaktepatan bahasa yang digunakan anak dan peniruan-peniruan bahasa yang dilakukan oleh anak usia 4 tahun dalam menggunakan gawai, serta pengaruh gawai terhadap pemerolehan bahasa anak. Hal ini dialami oleh anak bernama Fatir yang merupakan anak yang diteliti bahasanya yang digunakannya  pada penelitian ini. Gawai adalah alat yang digunakan untuk berkomunikasi dengan ukuran yang dapat digenggam oleh tangan. Pemakaian gawai yang berlebih akan menimbulkan masalah-masalah pada diri seseorang. Adapun faktor penyebab utama dalam penelitian ini pemakaian gawai yang berlebih sehingga berdampak negatif pada pengucapan anak dalam berkomunikasi. Hal itu menjadi faktor utama dalam data yang telah ditemukan  peniliti dalam kasus ini.Kata Kunci: gawai; pemerolehan bahasa; sintaksis; deklaratif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe moral values and patriotism in the Disney Moana film. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, research data source in the form of Disney Moana film. Data collection techniques in the form of literature study. Data analysis techniques in the form of techniques see. The results showed that the moral values contained in Disney Moana Film were (1) animal lover, (2) soft heartedness, (3) working together, (4) happy learning history, and (5) not giving up. Meanwhile, the value of patriotism contained in Disney Moana Film, namely (1) faithful friends, (2) never give up, (3) brave, (4) love the motherland, and (5) admit mistakes.Keywords: Value, morality, patriotism

Abstract

This research aimed to describe humanity and social critics in the lyrics of Iwan Fals?s songs. The research used descriptive qualitative where the data in form of words. The techniques of collecting data were library study.  Furthermore, the techniques of analyzing the data were: identification, selection, data reduction, analyzing, interpretation, performing the data, and conclusion. The result of analyzing and discussion related to social critics dealing with government and human and pain. Based on analyzing result it can be: social critic in government aspect was about the government was still not good, and pain, someone felt pain because of  government on sociopolitical.Keywords: social critic, humanity, songs? lyrics.

Abstract

The research goal was to know the influence of Show and tell method implementation toward speaking skill on 5-6th aged in Xaverius 3 Kindergarten Bandar Lampung. The research was quasi experiment with used design one group pretest-posttest design. The researcher used saturation sampling for 30 students. The collecting data technique used pretest and posttest. The data were analyzed by t-test. Based on t-test calculation, Ha was accepted. T-score pretest and posttest result showed thit = 13.4 and ttabel= 1.69 (thit> ttabel ). Based on the result, there was influence of show and tell toward speaking skill on 5-6th in Xaverius 3 Kindergarten Bandar Lampung.Keywords: Show and tell Method, Speaking Skill.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of interest in reading, factors that affect interest in reading, and the type of reading PBSI UAD students. The method used in this research is the mix method. Data obtained using instruments in the form of observation sheets, interview guidelines, and questionnaires. Data collected through the process of observation, interview activities, and filling out the questionnaire. Data collected in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. The results of this study indicate that the reading interest of PBSI UAD students is categorized as low. This is known from the results of a survey that showed that 51.6% of PBSI UAD students had the frequency of reading one book per month. Other results show that the factors that influence the reading interest of PBSI UAD students are family, school, and environmental factors. Friendship Related to the variety of reading, it can be formulated that the reading consumed by PBSI UAD students can be quite broad and varied. Abstract

The purpose of this article was to describe in depth some of the innovations Indonesian language and literature learning in the era of society 5.0. Innovation of Indonesian language and literature learning is important to do because it is relevant to the vision of society 5.0, namely, to create learning transformation. In this era of society 5.0, people become controllers of technology and society is required to think critically, constructively and innovatively. Language as a medium for expressing thoughts, ideas, and feelings can form people's behavior. The behavior is expected to contribute to the learning of Indonesian language and literature and is relevant to the needs of society 5.0. To achieve this goal there are several innovations that can be performed, namely the implementation of HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills), renewal of futuristic learning orientation, determination of appropriate learning models, development of teacher and lecturer competencies, provision of infrastructure and futuristic learning resources.Keywords: society 5.0., learning innovation, futuristic

Abstract

This study reviews the children's language ability in storytelling that is studied using the field of syntactic study. The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which a child can master a sentence. The method used for this research is descriptive qualitative method. This method describes the results of recorded transcripts for analysis. The results of this analysis show that children in telling stories are more likely to use news sentences in conveying their experiences.Keyword: language, storytelling, and syntax.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the negotiating text writing skills of students of grade X Multimedia of SMKN 10 Medan Year of Learning 2019/2020. The method used in this study is a descriptive method. The population of this study is all students grade X Multimedia of SMKN 10 Medan Year of Learning 2019/2020 consisting of 3 classes with a total of 104 students. Sampling was done by random sampling technique and selected class X Multimedia 1 with a total of 34 students. The research instrument used is the essai test of writing the negotiating text with regard to the structure and linguistic rules of the text. The data collection techniques in this study are assignments. The data in this study is a score of negotiating text writing ability. The results showed that students negotiating text writing skills based on aspects of the structure were divided into an average score opener of 100, an average score of 97.24, and a closing score of 76.68 while the aspects of language rules were divided into news sentences, questions and The command average score is 78.49, the sentence the wish score is the average score 35.29 the conditional sentence the average score is 52.20 and the conjunction causes the average score is 55.88. So the results show that class X Multimedia at of SMKN 10 Medan in writing negotiating texts with the total average score of the two aspects is 69.70 in the sufficient category. Keywords: Ability, Writing, Text Negotiation.

Abstract

Epistemology is one of the three branches of philosophy that deals with science besides ontology and axiology. This scientific foundation is related to the use of this knowledge in order to meet human needs. Language and society can never be separated from one another, because where there is society, there is language, and vice versa. The existence of language in society is studied through sociolinguistics, which sees language as a means of communication between community members with variations according to their social sphere. On the other hand, traditional language teaching views language as a system, thus giving birth to structuralist language teaching. During its development, the proponents of the language teaching method realized that language was not just a system, but rather a means of communication, as studied through sociolinguistics. This study discusses the role of sociolinguistics in the development of language teaching, starting from the characteristics of the language community, language functions, to sociolinguistic-based language teaching models. The material in language teaching also reviews the contribution of sociolinguistics in providing language teaching materials from a sociolinguistic point of view. Keywords: Epistemology, Sociolinguistics, Language Teaching
