Abstract

In today's digital era, computer network projects are crucial for companies as they provide the infrastructure for communication, data exchange, and sharing. Effective project management, which requires strong leadership, is essential for success. Leadership management plays a key role in influencing the outcomes of computer networking projects by fostering creativity and entrepreneurship. Innovative leadership encourages risk-taking, creativity, and experimentation, which are vital for developing new products, services, or processes. Entrepreneurship promotes proactivity, flexibility, and responsiveness to changing market conditions. This study explores the relationship between leadership and innovation, highlighting that leadership style, behavior, and abilities are critical in driving innovation and entrepreneurship. However, the specific challenges and opportunities in computer networking projects necessitate further research. This research aims to fill the gap by investigating how management leadership influences innovation and entrepreneurship in computer networking projects and identifying the key leadership competencies required. Using a quantitative approach and correlational research design, the study finds a significant positive relationship between transformational leadership and entrepreneurial innovation (path coefficient 0.75, p < 0.01), and between transactional leadership and entrepreneurial innovation (path coefficient 0.42, p < 0.05). However, no significant relationship is found between field leadership and entrepreneurial innovation. The findings suggest that both transactional and transformational leadership contribute to groundbreaking innovation in computer networking projects. Therefore, project leaders should enhance their leadership skills to achieve higher levels of innovation in these projects.

Abstract

Technological advancements have significantly impacted daily life, particularly in healthcare, where health monitoring devices play a crucial role. This device employs the MLX90614 sensor for measuring body temperature, an EKG sensor for heart rate monitoring, and the MAX30102 sensor for measuring blood oxygen levels. Data generated by these sensors are displayed on an LCD screen and managed using the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller. Test results show an impressive accuracy rate of 94.17%, indicating precise outcomes with relatively low error rates for each sensor: 1.05% for heart rate measurement, 2.0% for Spo2 errors with the MAX30102 sensor, and 2.78% for temperature errors with the MLX90614 sensor. With its enhanced capability for real-time and efficient health monitoring, this device has the potential to serve as a practical solution for routine health monitoring, offering significant benefits for maintaining overall health.

Abstract

One of Indonesia's top private universities is Telkom University, and branding is an important aspect of maintaining its reputation. In the digital era, social media has become the main platform for people to express their opinions on various topics, including educational institutions. This research aims to analyze public sentiment towards Telkom University on platform X (formerly Twitter) by using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) method and Word2Vec Feature expansion. The data used consists of 6,627 tweets collected between November 2022 and November 2023. Sentiments were categorized into "Positive," "Negative," and "Neutral". The research stages include data collection, preprocessing, feature extraction using TF-IDF, and feature expansion with Word2Vec. The research results evaluated by calculating accuracy, F1-Score, Precision, and Recall with the help of a confusion matrix. There is a very severe data imbalance in Negative Negative sentiment compared to other sentiments. By doing SMOTE oversampling, feature extraction, and also feature expansion combined with LSTM, the best results are obtained with 91% accuracy, 91% F-1 Score, 91% Precision, and 91% Recall. These results can help Telkom University understand public perception and manage its brand image more effectively.

Abstract

This research explores the use of Quantum GIS (QGIS) in developing 3D maps for the Bakunjangan tourism application in Banjarmasin City. The integration of spatial data, sensors, and open data sources such as OpenStreetMap (OSM) aims to improve accuracy, consistency, and visitor experience. The development of 3D maps follows the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method, which outlines strategies and processes for developing, designing, and maintaining software projects, ensuring that all goals, objectives, functionalities, and user needs are met. The urgency of this research lies in its ability to support the Banjarmasin City government in managing and developing local tourism, especially with the increase in tourist visits from 2,487 in 2022 to 3,895 in 2023. The 3D map feature in the Bakunjangan Application is expected to provide accurate information and a more satisfying experience for tourists, as well as enhance the competitiveness of tourism at the national level. The development of the 3D maps was conducted after a survey of 55 Ground Control Points (GCP) in various tourist areas. The QGIS application, with the help of the Qgis2threejs plugin, facilitates the creation of 3D map animations, although five tourist attractions could not be animated. To optimally display the 3D maps, an internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 Mbps is required. As a result, the Bakunjangan Application produced 65 interactive user interfaces and 50 3D animations of tourist attractions, with an application feasibility rating of 89%, placing it in the excellent category.

Abstract

The E-Catering application is a means that allows people to sell and buy their catering services. This application is designed to be used through smartphone devices, making it easier for users to order food. Raden Catering, which is located at Jalan Cideng Barat Dalam 12 No.1, RT 06/RW 10 Cideng Village, Gambir District, Central Jakarta, 10150, is an example of a catering business that has been operating for 20 years. Even though it has many customers, the catering ordering process so far is still carried out conventionally through direct communication or telephone, which can be less efficient compared to the use of the internet. Therefore, researchers developed this application so that people can order catering more easily and flexibly through an internet connection. The app consists of two parts, namely an app for customers and an app for admins. The results of the study show that application development can be done iteratively, allowing stakeholders to provide input throughout the development process. Customers can easily browse the menu, choose catering packages, and place orders without the need to visit the office in person or contact directly.

Abstract

This research introduces Snap That Animal, an augmented reality (AR) mobile application designed as an innovative educational tool for early childhood education. The study focuses on identifying challenges faced by teachers at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Krajan Kindergarten when using traditional teaching methods to engage young learners. To address these challenges, the application was developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, incorporating the Vuforia SDK on the Android platform to create interactive 3D animal models activated by markers. This interactive approach aims to enhance student interest and learning outcomes by offering more engaging and accessible educational content. The app underwent thorough testing, including marker recognition under varying light intensities, tilt angles, and distances, as well as compatibility with different devices. Results demonstrated that the application performs efficiently in real-life educational settings. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through a questionnaire. The study population consisted of kindergarten teachers, and a total sample of nine teachers participated as respondents. The processed questionnaire results, evaluated using an assessment scale, revealed a feasibility rating of “very good,” with a score of 93.56%. In conclusion, the findings suggest that AR applications like Snap That Animal significantly enhance student engagement and learning effectiveness in early childhood education.

Abstract

The rapid development of Science and Technology (IPTEK) has resulted in changes in the learning paradigm which are marked by changes in curriculum, media and technology. Technological innovation and information systems in the world of education, especially in universities, have their own attraction for students, because conventional learning sometimes makes students less creative in the learning process. In today's technological advances, Android cellphones have now become a necessity for society, especially among students and students. Smartphone media is very influential in the teaching and learning process between lecturers and students in the 21st century era and is one of the distance learning media solutions. The aim of this research is to develop a mobile learning application as a distance learning medium using Android Studio to simplify and increase the efficiency of the learning process in higher education. The method used in developing this system is the waterfall method with stages with the Unified Modeling Language (UML) system design tool. The result of this research is a mobile learning application using Android Studio which is effectively used as a distance learning medium in higher education. With this mobile learning application, Android-based learning has created interesting and dynamic learning for lecturers and students, so this creates many benefits and can minimize obstacles that have occurred in the learning process and help students like learning more.

Abstract

This article presents a study that aims to examine and analyze the factors that influence students' decisions in choosing the Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology. The research intends to assist universities in gaining a deeper understanding of the crucial factors that students consider when selecting a university. Consequently, this will lead to the development of more effective admission policies and strategies. The study involved collecting data from a random sample of first-year students at Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology during 2022. Data was gathered using questionnaires and both qualitative and quantitative research methods, utilizing SPSS 20 software. The findings from factor analysis indicated that a multiple regression model was suitable for assessing the factors that influence decisions to enroll in the Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology. Variables such as CSVC1 (Adequate classrooms meeting to learning needs), CSCV4 (Modern and well-equipped library with ample study materials), HP3 (Generous scholarships for various groups), VL3 (Supportive policies for employment during studies), DT2 (Curriculum aligned with social needs), DT4 (High-earning graduates), and DNGV1 (Highly qualified and standardized faculty) showed significant correlations with the dependent variable - students' career choices. The results demonstrated that the proposed model was well-fitted, with favorable levels of compatibility indices (CFI, TLI) and accuracy (GFI, RMSEA). Additionally, the outcomes of the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) supported the appropriateness of the proposed model and its capability to explain the relationships between variables in the study. Based on these research findings, the article provides recommendations, including enhancing faculty quality, improving infrastructure and facilities, diversifying programs, and enhancing university information dissemination to elevate the quality and quantity of future admissions.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital age, it is important to understand the impact of digital technology and 21st century skills on employee performance. In this systematic literature review, researchers explored the relationship between digital technology, 21st century skills and employee performance through synthesizing 24 relevant articles indexed by scopus, google scholar and dimension in the period 2019-2024. The review revealed a number of important insights into how digital technology adoption and 21st century skills development impact employee productivity and effectiveness across a range of organizational contexts. The researcher highlights the salient findings, challenges faced, and practical implications of this research. As such, this article makes an important contribution to our understanding of ways to improve employee performance in the changing digital age, and points the way for future research and practice in this area.

Abstract

Stress appears at almost any age. Stress can disrupt mental and physical balance, and even students can experience it. Early detection of an individual's emotions is crucial. Researchers hope that by taking such actions, an individual can maintain self-control and prevent the stress they are experiencing from worsening. Bodily characteristics such as speech, body language, eye contact, and facial expressions indicate stress, depression, and anxiety. Psychological activities and human life are associated with physiological emotions. The three categories of negative thoughts or sad emotions are stress, anxiety, and depression. This research assesses or finds students who experience anxiety, depression, and stress. This study compares methods for determining mental health through the distribution of DASS-21 scale questionnaires. The researcher classified the research results using Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, k-NN, SVM, and Logistic Regression methods. According to experiments, SVM is effective for identifying mental health anxiety, depression, and stress with accuracy, recall, and precision of 0.86, 0.90, and 0.80. At Universitas Islam Lamongan, 138 engineering faculty students answered the DASS-21 questionnaire.
