Abstract

This study aims to explain the drill pattern technique as an old historical technique that still exists and used by foreign language teachers to date. This technique is in fact used as the effective main technique of audio-lingual approach and its variants in learning a foreign language. This research is a qualitative research because it does not touch on the results of nouns or quantity values. As for the type, including library research whose primary data is in the form of qualitative data which sourced from books and literature references relating to the theme under study.The results of this study found that drill patterns techniques in its development lived in two periods, namely during the environmentalist period and the nativist period.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) find out the actual conditions of learning Arabic at MTs NU Miftahul Ulum Margasari; (2) explained the development of Learning Management System (Moodlecloud) Arabic language learning on Arabic subjects at MTs NU Miftahul Ulum Margasasri; (3) to find out the form of implementation of LMS (Moodlecloud) -based Arabic language learning at MTs NU Miftahul Ulum Margasari. This research uses the Research and Development (R & D) method. This research used observation and questionnaire on scale of 1-5. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the conditions at MTs NU Miftahul Ulum Margasari support to LMS-based Arabic language learning (Moodlecloud) application; (2) This LMS (Moodlecloud) Arabic language learning was developed according to the needs of LMS users, especially in terms of display and learning materials in Arabic; (3) LMS (Moodlecloud) Arabic language learning at MTs NU Miftahul Ulum Margasari is very acceptable, and can be applied to other subjects.

Abstract

This Study aims to describe the drama method as one of the methods that is assumed to be able to overcome the problems that have often been faced by students of Pontianak IAIN FTIK, such as shame, fear of speaking wrong and lack of confidence. This research uses mixed methods by using data collection instruments such as observation guidelines, test, interview guidelines, documentation, and non-parametric scales. The results of this study illustrate that the previous methods used by lecturers did not contribute much in realizing student competencies in listening and speaking skills. However, after being given an experiment using the drama method, student competencies increased with an average score of 70,034 listening skills which was previously at 60,884. And at an average rate of 67,069 in the previous speaking skills at 58,690.

Abstract

The aims of this study is investigating the policy of Arabic Education Department in responding the students’ heterogeneity to improve Arabic achievement. It is expected to be the solution for the problem of heterogeneity. To reveal the facts, the authors used interview, observation, questionnaire, and documentation. In analyzing the data, the authors used qualitative descriptive analysis method. The result of this study revealed that the Arabic Education Department of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty IAIN Lhokseumawe used teaching methods and objectives clearly to reach the successful and directed learning. But it was not enough, because all of the students did not come from the same background. Some of them came from MA, SMK, SMA and Pesantren. Certainly, those who came from Pesantren have higher Arabic achievement than those from other schools. The authors concluded that the policies can equalize and reduce differences in student achievement, though there were many obstacles and shortcomings in the implementation of the policy in language development

Abstract

Qawaid is an element of Arabic that must be mastered by Arabic language learners, including students of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, though it is still seen difficult until today. The learning of qawaid that has been running so far relies on traditional methods and strategies, i.e. the deductive method (tariqah qiyasiyah) and inductive (tariqah istiqra'iyyah). It is done by asking the students to write sentences (jumlah mufidah) on a sheet or assignment book. This study aims to explore a strategy of language game named adlif kalimatan (add one word) in learning qawaid in the said department. It is a case study and uses a qualitative approach. Data collection is carried out from observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the language game of adlif kalimatan is able to make instructional activity more interesting and is able to motivate students to apply qawaid in speaking and writing skills.

Abstract

Malay and Arabic have a relationship that influences the emergence of literary works including poetry. Syair Gulong is one of the many Malay literary works that have a relationship with Arabic. This relationship is inseparable from the circle of Islamic religiosity in both languages. This study aims to reveal the relations between the two languages ​​in Syair Gulong. The form of the relation referred to in this study is the emergence of absorption words with various forms and phonological changes in syair gulung. This research concludes that the uptake words in syair gulong have a relationship between Arabic and Malay in the form of word uptake, solid uptake, and translation uptake. However, this language relation cannot be separated from the appearance of absorption words that undergo phonological changes.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe and analyze in depth about the application of the Arabic language education curriculum which conducted through an intensive course program by the Education and Training Center in University of Darussalam Gontor. This was a field research using qualitative approach. The data were collected by using observation, interviews and documentation. In analyzing the data, it used Miles and Huberman techniques. The results of this study showed that the intensive, effective and efficient training was conducted for trainees from various levels, involved basic, intermediate and high levels. This course used a communicative approach, particularly direct method. The participants lived in a student dormitory with a language habit in the environment for 24 hours. This intensive course aimed to improve receptive language skills including listening and reading, and deductive language skills including writing and speaking. The curriculums of this Education and Training Center consisted of academic and non-academic. Academic curriculum consisted of learning durūs al-lugah al-abiarabiyyah, nahwu and ṣaraf, mahārah kitābah, qirāah, istima ’, and kalām. While the non-academic curriculum was learning vocabulary, watching Arabic films, muhadatsah, singing Arabic songs, speeches, khot, and turats study.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the Arabic language curriculum in the Study Program of Islamic Education at the Universitas Islam Riau and Arabic language learning through the heutagogy approach. This research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis method. The study was conducted at the study program of Islamic Education. The study program of Islamic Education as well as social situation. Data collection in this research was carried out in three ways: Interview, Documentation, and Library research. In analyzing data, the writer uses descriptive analysis. The conclusion of this study is that the Heutagogy approach cannot be fully applied in teaching Arabic in the study program of Islamic Education, because the goal of learning Arabic cannot come out of the goals set by the Study Program. However, the spirit of heutagogy can be applied in the process of learning Arabic in the study program of Islamic Education with several Heutagogy approaches.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the use kahoot as an interactive learning media in Arabic in increasing motivation to learn Arabic. The approach used is descriptive quantitative. The subject of this study was a total of 40 students. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out using statistical product and service solution (SPSS) technique version 20.00. The use of kahoot as an interactive learning media in Arabic is the focus of the study. The findings of this study indicate that learning using kahoot media is very interesting with a percentage of 82.50%, students get positive things with a percentage of 62.50% strongly agree and 37.50% agree, kahoot media fosters student motivation in learning Arabic with a percentage of 52, 50% agree, 40.00% strongly agree, kahoot makes learning more interactive with a percentage of 40% female students agree, 40% of children strongly agree. Thus it can be concluded that the use of kahoot can foster student motivation and make Arabic learning more interactive.

Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) The implementation of K-W-L strategy to improve reading ability of Arabic texts of grade XI students of MIA MA Bahrul Ulum, (2) The improvement of learning outcomes of reading Arabic text of XI graders of MIA MA Bahrul Ulum Tajinan after the implementation of K-W-L strategy. The study used the action research design. The subject was MA Bahrul Ulum Tajinan, because the Arabic language learning ian this school has not been running optimally. The selection of students of grade XI Mathematics and Science program was because the students of grade XI already have a lot of vocabulary and good understanding of qowaid. The study consisted of two cycles and each cycle consisted of stage of (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. The results of the study were that the K-W-L strategy was implemented by activating students to reveal preliminary knowledge related titles, guessing the contents of the text, and discovering new information after reading the text. The implementation of the K-W-L strategy improved the ability of students to read Arabic text by 16 points from the average of 67 to 83 with the mastery score of 95.5%.
