Abstract

The study aims to design an effective and sustainable public transportation system at Universitas Brawijaya, with the goal of creating a comfortable and efficient campus environment. In this research, factors such as user needs, the physical and social characteristics of the campus area, and sustainable transportation principles are thoroughly considered. The methodology used is a descriptive quantitative approach, with the field data collected through observations, questionnaires, and transportation model. This study is expected to address internal mobility issues, support the development of an environmentally friendly campus, and serve as a foundation for better transportation policies and planning in the future. The finding indicates that the internal movement patterns of campus residents, including students, faculty, and academic staff, tend to follow a one-way route, moving from the campus entrance to their activity locations and then returning. Movement between different activity locations, such as between faculties, rarely occurs. The movement survey generated a desire line, which led to the proposal of three alternative routes that can serve all user demand zones within UB campus area. Based on the calculations, 28 vehicles with a capacity of 14 passengers per vehicle are required during peak hours to serve all campus routes. The proposed routes cover the entire campus area, with maximum walking distance of 200 meters, ensuring that campus resident do not need to walk more than 200 meters to reach the public transport shelters

Abstract

This study aims to develop eco-literacy-based learning activities to enhance the cultural literacy of local Sukoharjo traditions in children aged 5–6 years. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Expert validation results indicated that the product was feasible for use, and limited trials showed that the developed activities effectively increased children's active participation and understanding of local cultural and environmental values. This eco-literacy and culture-based learning model is not only contextually relevant but also contributes to holistic character development in early childhood. The resulting product has the potential to be replicated in other regions by adapting to local cultural values. Thus, this model offers an innovative alternative in early childhood education

Abstract

AbstractThe Yeh Sumbul River Basin (DAS) is a river basin that crosses Jembrana Regency and Buleleng Regency, where the watershed area in Jembrana Regency is 71.34 km2 and the watershed area in Buleleng Regency is 39.31 km2. The Yeh Sumbul Watershed has a total watershed area of 110.65 km2, has a river length of 27.4 km with a pharennial river type. Based on the large potential of the Yeh Sumbul Watershed, researchers analyzed the Intensity-Duration-Frequency (IDF) curve to determine the planned flood discharge in the analyzed area. The results of the calculation of the standard deviation of rainfall in the data are 21.89. The value of the rainfall variation coefficient is 0.247, the value of the rainfall skewness coefficient is 0.457 and the value of the rainfall skewness coefficient is 3.614. The average y value of the rainfall log is 1.94, the standard deviation value is 0.108 and the skewness coefficient value is -0.0584. In the pattern of the IDF curve depiction that has been analyzed, it is found that the greater the duration, the lower the intensity and the greater the recurrence period, the greater the intensity of the rain that occurs

Abstract

The problem that occurs in fresh concrete is the imperfect cement hydration process due to too rapid water loss. This can cause the concrete to become weak, cracked, and not reach the desired compressive strength. The cement hydration process requires sufficient water to react with the cement and form a strong concrete structure. However, if water is lost too quickly due to evaporation, the hydration process cannot take place perfectly. Realizing this problem, we conducted a research experiment to find, compare, and evaluate the effect of various curing techniques on the compressive strength of concrete. The planned concrete quality of 18.68 Mpa was made from a cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm as many as 10 samples. After curing, the concrete was tested twice: soaked in water at 10.19 MPa and 16.98 MPa; doused with water at 11.04 MPa and 11.32 MPa; and wrapped in wet burlap sacks at 8.49 MPa and 10.75 MPa. Treatment wrapped with plastic wrap showed results of 3.96 MPa and 15.28 MPa, while without treatment at outside temperature was 10.47 MPa and 11.32 MPa. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the compressive strength of concrete as measured by the compressive strength of concrete soaked in water for 28 days with treatments of 7 and 28 days respectively. Treatment by soaking in water showed an increase of 54.55% and 90.89%, treatment by sprinkling water increased by 59.10% and 60.59%, treatment by wrapping using wet burlap showed an increase of 45.44% and 57.54%, treatment with plastic wrap increased by 21.19% and 81.79%, while without outdoor treatment had an increase of 56.04% and 60.59%. The results showed that concrete soaked in water for 28 days produced the best compressive strength

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the penetration of Metaverse technology in enhancing the quality of learning within the educational sector using a qualitative approach based on secondary data. Data were collected through documentation techniques, including a review of scholarly journals, research reports, policy documents, media articles, and case studies on the implementation of Metaverse in educational settings. The analysis was conducted descriptively, focusing on how Metaverse technology has been adopted, the outcomes it has generated, and the challenges and opportunities that accompany its integration into learning processes. The findings reveal that the Metaverse has significant potential to enrich learning experiences through interactive simulations, collaborative avatar-based learning, and immersive educational environments. Various educational institutions worldwide have adopted Metaverse platforms, showing improvements in student engagement and conceptual understanding. However, issues such as technological access, educator readiness, and infrastructure limitations remain considerable barriers. This study provides a conceptual and contextual overview of the importance of strategic adoption to ensure that the use of Metaverse in education can be optimized and made inclusive.

Abstract

Climate change has posed significant challenges in water resources management, particularly in relation to the need for accurate and reliable rainfall predictions. Precise rainfall information is essential for various domains, ranging from disaster risk reduction such as floods and droughts, to strategic planning in the agricultural sector and irrigation management. The main focus of this research is on the automatic rainfall estimation method, which is implemented through the utilization of Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite data. The characteristics of TRMM data, especially its wide spatial and temporal coverage, are considered to have great potential to reduce the constraints arising from the limitations of ground-based observation data.To analyze the development and trends in this topic, we employed a comprehensive bibliometric analysis. This analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software, which facilitates the visualization of collaboration networks and the identification of dominant research themes. The study period covered publications from 2000 to 2020. The bibliometric analysis results revealed substantial fluctuations in the number of publications, with peaks recorded in 2006 and 2010, indicating a significant increase in research interest and activity during these periods. Furthermore, the most cited articles within the study period made fundamental contributions to the understanding and implementation of TRMM data, particularly in the development of models and algorithms for rainfall estimation. It is expected that this research will provide important information and guidance for academics and policymakers in optimizing water resource management strategies amidst the challenges of climate change, and assist in creating more precise and reliable methods for future rainfall prediction

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has significantly transformed operational activities across various sectors, including small businesses such as convenience stores. This study aims to develop a desktop-based cashier information application for Toko Anto to improve transaction efficiency, accuracy, and speed. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) approach using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, document studies, and literature reviews. The development stages include requirements planning, system design, construction, and implementation. The system is designed to digitally record sales transactions, manage product inventory data, and print purchase receipts. The implementation results show that the cashier application accelerates transaction processes, minimizes input errors, and facilitates the generation of daily sales reports. Unit testing using the black box method confirms that all features function according to the specified requirements. The application also significantly improves user satisfaction in daily operations. In conclusion, this RAD-based desktop cashier application effectively supports Toko Anto's business processes in a more modern and efficient way

Abstract

The Sadang River is a primary channel in Cibitung Subdistrict, Bekasi Regency, which functions to channel water from several secondary channels, including those in Wanajaya Village and Wanasari Village. The existing conditions show that the Sadang River is prone to overflowing during the rainy season and is unable to optimally support the irrigation needs of the surrounding agricultural land. Therefore, a redesign of the channel system is necessary, including increasing the river's storage capacity through channel dimension improvements based on peak flow rates derived from hydrological analysis, as well as integrated watershed management efforts. The objective of this study is to analyse the river flow discharge in the Sadang River, which is divided into four segments, and to address the river flow discharge. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method with a hydrological and hydraulic analysis approach. The hydrological analysis process was carried out by determining the average rainfall and analysing the flood discharge using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) method. Subsequently, measurements of the existing channel dimensions were taken, spatial analysis was conducted using ArcMap 10.8 software, and the channel dimensions were re-planned based on the planned peak discharge results. The research results show that the existing flow rate of the Sadang River is 954.37 m3/sec, and the analysis of the peak flow rate of the Sadang River with a 10-year return period is 6107.47 m3/sec and a 25-year return period is 7513.01 m3/sec, with the same peak time of 2 hours. It is necessary to plan with a rectangular channel, the dimensions of the channel base width (b) = 28.7m and channel height (h) = 10m because the river channel is unable to accommodate the flow of flood discharge.

Abstract

Currently, almost all government agencies are maximizing the use of information technology (IT) in their services, including the Ministry of Religious Affairs in its services to Indonesian hajj pilgrims. This is a new hope for the Indonesian people who will perform the hajj, especially in minimizing fraud, convoluted bureaucracy, and non-transparent services. However, the hopes have not yet been fully realized in reality within the community. Therefore, this research aims to answer the extent to which the application of information technology in the management of hajj services can enhance public transparency and accountability, as well as identify the constraints and opportunities needed in the future to improve hajj services in Indonesia. This research uses case studies from various literature on related topics to see the extent of public satisfaction with IT-based hajj services. This study also uses a descriptive qualitative approach and literature analysis techniques. The research results show that information technology (IT) has a significant impact on public satisfaction as a positive appreciation of pilgrimage services. However, some of them also show weaknesses, such as the application services not being accessible to the entire community, the financial distribution reports being less transparent, and indications of fraud during the waiting period for hajj pilgrims. This then has implications for the public's expectations of services that should be easy and transparent and also serve as a form of integrity in fostering public trust in Hajj services, which is somewhat contrary to the reality in society

Abstract

Business world, there are quite a lot of problems other than profitable income. Often there are errors in recording data that are the source of information from the business world. Likewise in the business world of a motorcycle repair shop, there are often errors in recording data both from the service or repair process and the sale of motorcycle spare parts and accessories. In the motorcycle repair shop business, errors often occur in recording spare part and accessory inventory because of the many types of spare parts and accessories. In addition, there are also several errors in calculating the total amount that must be paid by customers because they still use manual calculations as well as in refunds. Seeing these problems, an information system is needed that can overcome this problem, so an information system will be built by utilizing information technology both in terms of hardware and software that carries ease of use / user friendly. This Motorcycle Repair Shop Information System Application will be implemented with MySQL as a database and Java Netbeans as software and using the SDLC method in designing the information system. MySQL database and Java Netbeans are software that can be implemented in several operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, MacOS and Linux so they are not limited to just one operating system. Conclusions that can be obtained from the result of tcreating a Motorcycle Information System Application has provided convenience to employees in entering data in the form of spare part data, customer data or transactions so that errors in calculating the total amount to be paid by customers can be overcome because with this Motorcycle Workshop Information System Application all calculations are done automatically so that employees no longer experience difficulties or make errors in calculating the total amount. This application provides convenience and reduces errors that are commonly made by employees
