Abstract

Writing skills are one of the essential skills needed by seventh-grade students in the subject of Indonesian Language. One of the Indonesian language subjects is writing short stories. One way to improve short story writing skills is through various methods, one of which we can use is the field trip method. In this study, field visits were conducted in two cycles with four stages each, namely (1) activity planning; (2) activity implementation; (3) activity observation; and (4) activity reflection. Each seventh-grade student of PKBM Darul Hikam SMP in Kuwarasan Kebumen is a subject of the research. With the help of the Indonesian language teacher, this research was conducted. Interview techniques, documentation, observation, and evaluation or tests are the data collection methods used. The action hypothesis, "In the learning of Indonesian Language and Literature, if the research travel method is used, the learning activities of the 7th-grade students of PKBM Darul Hikam Kuwarasan Kebumen SMP will improve," can be accepted based on the research analysis results. The field visit method can improve students' learning outcomes in addition to enhancing their learning activities

Abstract

Cats are popular pets because they have cute behavior and adorable physical appearance. Caring for cats does require extra attention, especially when feeding them. Providing food that suits their needs is very important for optimal growth and preventing various health problems. The cat food recommendation system is the right solution for cat owners to choose food that suits their cat's needs. A recommendation system is a system designed to help users get recommendations for items that are relevant and useful. Content based filtering is a recommendation system that provides suggestions based on user preferences for several items, including age, variant, brand, taste, size and price. The data used is cat food products with the brands Whiskas, Cat Choize, Me-O, and Royal Canin at the Pet Shop Colomadu. The recommendation value is calculated based on the cosine similarity value between two items. System testing is carried out using functionality testing (blackbox) and validity testing. The results of functionality testing show that the system can function well. The results of validity testing show that the system is valid and can be used appropriately. It can be concluded that the cat food recommendation system using the content-based filtering method can be used to recommend the right cat food

Abstract

Solar energy utilizes sunlight to produce electricity via photovoltaic (PV) panels, which act as a medium for capturing solar energy. PV panels are widely used for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability. Common challenges in solar energy capture include geographical location, weather conditions, and fluctuations in the direction of incoming sunlight. So, a control system is important. In countries with adequate sunlight, photovoltaic (PV) panels are designed with control systems that track the movement of the sunlight. Given the continuous motion and changing position of the sun, the development of advanced dual-axis solar trackers with intelligent control systems remains an ongoing area of research. Control methods used by sun tracker system is Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) with auto-tuning. For increase performance PID control is important to optimize PID at sun tracker sytem dual axis, simulated by MATLAB Simulink. GEO algorithm is optimization method using metaheuristic. GEO is founded on the intelligent adjustments on attack propensity and cruise propensity that golden eagles perform while searching for prey and hunting. In this study, the GEO algorithm will be used to optimize PID with a dual-axis solar tracker simulated by MATLAB Simulink. This research compares three model designs: uncontrolled, PID control using auto-tuning, and PID using GEO tuning (PID-GEO). The result of the simulation, we get comparison performance from three model designs is PID-GEO has the fastest settling time, smallest overshoot and undershoot of all model designs. Where the overshoot horizontal axis is 11. 372% and the undershoot is 0%, that also at the vertical axis, the overshoot is 11. 559% and undershoot is 0%. It can be concluded that PID-GEO has the best performance compared to PID auto-tuning and uncontrolled. So, this research concludes that GEO can be used to optimize PID control

Abstract

The goal of early childhood education is to prepare children to take the next level of education. This study examines the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a learning medium in early childhood education (PAUD), which has significance in building the foundation of children's overall development. This study focuses on the use of AI in creating an adaptive, interactive, and responsive learning environment to the individual needs of children, including physical, cognitive, socio-emotional, language, and moral aspects. This study uses a narrative analysis method with a qualitative approach to various scientific articles and involves the views of educators, parents, and children in the PAUD environment. The results of the study indicate that AI is effective in providing personalized learning by adjusting the level of difficulty and content according to the child's needs. In addition, AI also supports the development of social skills through technology-based interactions and increases children's learning motivation through interesting and interactive experiences. The findings of this study indicate that AI-based media in PAUD learning can play a role in stimulating children's thoughts, feelings, attention, and competence. AI allows for more dynamic delivery of material and supports educators in managing more effective teaching strategies. Thus, the use of animation and AI-based technology as a learning tool provides significant benefits in increasing the effectiveness of teaching in PAUD

Abstract

This study AIms to explore the perceptions of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in Kutai Kartanegara regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning technology. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research gathered data through in-depth interviews and participatory observations. The findings show that PAUD teachers in Kutai Kartanegara have a positive view of the use of AI technology, especially in supporting more personalized, adaptive, and interactive learning. Several AI applications, such as adaptive learning platforms (e.g., Khan Academy Kids, ABC Mouse) and virtual assistants (e.g., Google Assistant, Alexa), have proven to offer significant benefits in enhancing children's engagement and learning experiences. However, key challenges include limited technological infrastructure, teachers' technical skills, and financial resources. Despite these challenges, most teachers express a positive attitude towards AI and are willing to adopt it if provided with adequate training and support. This study suggests the need for collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the community to provide training and technological facilities to ensure the effective implementation of AI in early childhood education. Thus, AI is expected to enrich children's learning experiences without overlooking their social and emotional needs

Abstract

This study aims to compare asphalt content testing results using the centrifuge method and the Reflux method on Asphalt Concrete-Binder Course (AC-BC) mixtures. The research was conducted experimentally using samples collected from an Asphalt Mixing Plant (AMP) in Kerinci Regency. The results show that the Reflux method produced an average asphalt content of 6.059%, which is more accurate and closer to the actual asphalt content compared to the centrifuge method with an average of 5.986%. The differences are attributed to the precision level of the equipment and the testing processes. Although the centrifuge method is faster, its results are less consistent compared to the Reflux method. Factors such as human error and equipment conditions also influenced the test outcomes. The Reflux method is recommended for tests requiring high accuracy, despite its longer testing duration and higher potential risks. This study is expected to serve as a reference for quality control of asphalt mixtures in laboratories and fieldwork

Abstract

Konveksi SFgiandra is a company engaged in the purchase, sale, and inventory of hijab, with many customers relying on their services. However, the manual system applied in every sales transaction, calculation, and stock reporting often causes errors in calculations and slows down the process of making reports. This research aims to analyze and develop a stock application that can improve efficiency and accuracy in inventory management at SFgiandra Convection. The research method used is Waterfall, with design using the Laravel Framework and UML diagrams. Software testing is done with the Black Box concept. The results showed that the developed stock application allows checking goods more effectively and efficiently, helping Konveksi SFgiandra achieve its goals better

Abstract

PTPN II Sugar Factory (PG.II) is a company that produces sugar which often experiences difficulties in producing sugar that is not time efficient due to frequent unexpected damage to the machine, which results in a reduced amount of time used to produce sugar. One of the causes of machine damage at PTPN II Kwala Madu is the absence of an information system about scheduling machine maintenance so that production machine damage occurs. The purpose of performing maintenance is so that the network distribution capability can meet the needs of the company, maintaining quality at the right level to meet what is needed by the production itself. Maintenance also aims to achieve the lowest possible cost level and avoid maintenance activities that can endanger the safety of the workforce or employees. help reduce usage or deviations beyond the limit and maintain the capital that has been invested during the specified time in accordance with the policies of the company or organization. The stages of this research are analyzing needs, designing / modeling a scheduling system with the Priority Schedulling algorithm, followed by programming, software testing and testing. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of educators in shaping the character of early childhood in the digital technology era in Tenggarong City. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews and observations of early childhood educators who play a role in character formation. The findings indicate that educators can optimize the use of digital technology in a positive manner to support children's character development. Additionally, early childhood educators have responsibilities in character building, including serving as role models, providing supervision and guidance, and integrating character values into learning activities. Several key types of character development in early childhood were identified, including religious character, discipline and responsibility, social awareness and empathy, independence and creativity, as well as digital ethics. Collaboration with parents is also a crucial element in fostering children's character. Thus, this study seeks to identify and explore the roles that can be undertaken to build children's character through digital technology utilization. Alongside technological advancements, there are not only challenges but also opportunities, such as creating a supportive learning environment by leveraging technology creatively. This study concludes that educators play a key role in shaping the character of early childhood, particularly in addressing the challenges of the digital technology era. The implications of these findings emphasize the importance of establishing a supportive learning environment and integrating character values into education as a strategic approach to ensuring children's moral, ethical, and social development

Abstract

This study aims to (1) develop a module for writing straight news and feature articles using a prophetic journalism approach, and (2) assess the feasibility of the module. The research method used is research and development (R&D) with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) by Thiagarajan. The instruments used in this study include validation sheets for experts in content, language, and media. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of this development research indicate that the developed product meets the validation criteria, with expert validation reaching 87.9%, broken down as follows: content expert 89%, language expert 84.7%, media expert 90.25%, and student response questionnaires reaching 83%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed module for writing straight news and feature articles with a prophetic journalism approach is valid and suitable for use in learning
