Abstract

Hospitals as providers of quality health services face challenges in managing increasingly complex patient data. The data has not been optimally utilized by hospital management and has great potential to be analyzed and become a basis for decision-making. Optimization can be utilized by BPJS inpatient data at the Assyifa Sukabumi Islamic Hospital in the fourth quarter of 2024 using data mining techniques. The technique proposed in this study is the K-Means method to group BPJS patients based on certain variables such as age, gender, disease diagnosis, inpatient class, and length of hospitalization. The results of this study revealed that there were 3 clusters of 3526 patient data. Cluster 1 consists of 1545 patients with infectious diseases caused by microorganisms. Cluster 2 consists of 712 patients with diseases related to pregnancy, childbirth, or symptoms that must be identified through further clinical or laboratory examinations. Cluster 3 consists of 1269 patients with diseases associated with the respiratory system, digestive system, and blood circulation system. The evaluation showed that the grouping of BPJS patients with 3 cluster results had the best quality, with a Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI) value of 0.561. The study results can be a reference in planning the allocation of hospital resources. Suggestions for further research are the application of other data mining techniques in optimizing hospital data management

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Total Physical Response (TPR) method in improving the locomotor movement skills of children aged 5–6 years in kindergarten. Locomotor movement is a part of gross motor development essential in supporting children's physical activities, such as walking, running, jumping, and hopping. However, initial observations showed that most children still experienced difficulty performing locomotor movements properly. Therefore, a learning approach that can stimulate motor skills in a fun and meaningful way is needed. The TPR method was chosen because it combines verbal instructions with active physical responses, which aligns with the developmental characteristics of early childhood who enjoy learning through movement and play. This research employed a classroom action research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation, while the instrument used was a locomotor movement assessment sheet based on six main indicators: walking in a straight line, running, jumping, hopping, stair climbing, and crawling. The research subjects were 20 children in Group B (aged 5–6 years) at BA Aisyiyah Rejosari in Sukoharjo Regency. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in locomotor movement skills from cycle to cycle. The average locomotor movement scores of the children increased from the pre-action stage (30.55%), to Cycle I (76.55%), and then to Cycle II (87.78%). This improvement indicates that the TPR method is effective in stimulating children’s fundamental movements actively and enjoyably. Additionally, the children demonstrated increased motivation and enthusiasm throughout the activities. Thus, the TPR method can be considered an appropriate alternative strategy for gross motor learning in the context of early childhood education.

Abstract

Sustainable development and growing public awareness of waste and project optimization have become priorities in the construction industry. Lean is a management approach aimed at reducing waste of time and resources. Green emphasizes managing environmental waste through life-cycle evaluation of products and processes. Meanwhile, Six Sigma fokuses on controlling variation and improving process quality to reduce defects. This study aims to theoretically analyze the effectiveness of integrating Lean, Green, and Six Sigma to improve construction project performance. The literature review approach shows that combining these three methods can compensate for individual limitations and create a more resilient system to address waste, energy efficiency, and product quality. In construction, this integration not only reduces costs and time but also contributes significantly to environmental sustainability. Therefore, Lean, Green, and Six Sigma form a strategic and effective combination to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability in modern construction projects

Abstract

Shallots are very good for cultivation. The demand for shallots comes from the onion-based industry and household consumption where they are used as cooking ingredients and traditional herbs. With the high market demand for shallots, it becomes an economic opportunity to improve the economy of farmers. One of the problems of shallot cultivation is the low quality of the soil in the form of soil properties such as physical properties, biological properties and chemical properties of the soil and decreasing soil fertility. One effort to improve soil properties and increase soil fertility is by adding soil conditioners in the form of biochar. The purpose of writing this journal is to review the results of previous research in identifying the effect of bamboo biochar application on the growth of shallots. The method used is the library research method. The application of biochar has an effect on the growth of shallot plant yields, in addition the application of biochar can increase the microbial population in the soil.

Abstract

Corn is an important food crop in the world besides rice and wheat. In Indonesia, corn is not only used as food but also as animal feed and industrial materials, so the need for corn will continue to increase. Many obstacles are limiting factors in meeting the needs and productivity of corn, one of which is the attack of diseases such as corn leaf rust disease by Puccinia sp. This study aims to determine the incidence and severity of leaf rust disease attacks on monoculture and polyculture lands and to determine the importance of environmental factors on the development of the disease. The study was conducted in the experimental field and Phytopathology Laboratory of the Agroecotechnology Study Program, Campus III, Andalas University, Dharmasraya. The study was descriptive in nature using a survey method. Observation parameters included land conditions, symptoms of corn leaf rust, microscopic identification of pathogens, and the incidence and severity of the disease. The results showed that the pathogen causing leaf rust was identified as Puccinia polysora with symptoms of attack in the form of brownish yellow spots (pustules). The high incidence of the disease reached 100% while the severity reached 11.42% in polyculture lands and 15.00% in monoculture lands. This shows that the severity of corn leaf rust disease in the experimental land of the Agroecotechnology Study Program is included in the mild category

Abstract

Edible coating is one of the postharvest handling technology innovations that functions to extend the shelf life of fruit and maintain its quality. This study aims to analyze the level of consumer acceptance of the use of aloe vera-based edible coating on fruit. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained from 140 respondents through an online questionnaire and analyzed using the Likert scale and descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that 82.86% of respondents were aware of edible coating, defined as a thin layer applied to the surface of fruit to extend shelf life, maintain quality, and enhance the safety and appearance of fruit products during storage and distribution. Social media serves as the primary source of consumer information about edible coating. Adequate knowledge and information regarding the safety of edible coating materials influence consumer decisions to purchase fruit products with edible coating. Therefore, more intensive education is needed to increase consumer acceptance of this innovation

Abstract

Roads are connecting facilities made to facilitate transportation by land to support human movement and survival. Roads must be in good condition so that they can be used and passed by vehicles, but in reality, road conditions are not always in good condition due to damage - road damage due to the age of the road that has been long and also due to vehicle loads and other factors. Road damage that occurs in various regions is a very important problem. The damage can cause losses to users such as congestion due to increased travel time and also fatal accidents can occur. This road condition value will later be used as a reference for the preparation of a maintenance program that must be carried out. This research aims to find out the value of road conditions by first knowing the types of damage that exist and then calculating by the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. This research was conducted on road sections in Kupang City, namely Siliwangi - Garuda - Sumatra Street, H.R Koroh Street, Fetor Funay Street, Perintis Kemerdekaan Street, Veteran Street, Gor Flobamora Street, Amabi Tofa road and Taebenu road. The results obtained are the dominant types of damage to road sections in Kupang City are potholes, longitudinal/transverse cracks, crocodile cracks and aggregate release. The highest PCI value is 89 and the lowest is 19.4 with an average PCI value of 59.1, this shows that the condition of road sections in Kupang City is uneven, meaning that there are roads that are in very bad condition but there are roads that are still in good condition. To overcome the existing road damage, pothole filling, additional road surface coating, maintenance and reconstruction can be done

Abstract

The Bena Reservoir was designed as a water supply solution in Bena Village, South Central Timor District, which has semi-arid climatic conditions. The success of embankment construction is not only determined by the storage capacity, but also the slope stability of the embankment body which affects the safety and successful functioning of the embankment. This research focuses on analyzing slope stability using GeoStudio 2012 software and the Modified Morgenstern method. The analysis was conducted under four operating conditions: empty, normal water level, flood water level, and rapid drawdown. Geotechnical parameters such as cohesion, inner shear angle, and soil permeability were included in the simulation. Results showed that the Safety Factor (SF) values under all conditions were well above the minimum required (SF > 1.2 - 1.5), with the highest value being 43.525 and the lowest being 10.122. This finding confirms that the embankment slopes are in a very stable condition. Therefore, The Bena Reservoir technically meets the slope safety criteria and is ready to support safe and sustainable water management

Abstract

The shortest route problem is a classic topic in graph theory that has many applications in everyday life, such as in navigation systems, logistics distribution, and network management. Two algorithms that are often used are the Algorithm and the Greedy Algorithm. The Algorithm can find the shortest path with maximum results, but it has a fairly high time complexity, making it less effective for situations that require speed. On the other hand, the Greedy Algorithm can provide solutions quickly, but does not always produce the ideal shortest path. This study uses a systematic literature review (SLR) approach to scientific publications in 2020-2025, which aims to analyze and compare the performance of the two algorithms in depth. The results of the analysis show that the Algorithm is more appropriate for situations that prioritize optimal solutions, while the Greedy Algorithm is better at decisions that require speed. This study not only provides theoretical analysis, but also discusses its practical applications in the transportation, logistics, and network sectors, and aims to provide insight into the development of more efficient and effective systems in the future

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the effectiveness of three algorithms that are often used in finding the shortest path, namely the Dijkstra Algorithm, the Greedy Algorithm, and the A* Algorithm. The problem of finding the shortest path is one of the basic challenges in the field of computer science, especially in applications such as navigation systems, logistics, and digital mapping. This study was conducted by conducting a literature study of more than 20 trusted scientific references published between 2015 and 2024. The results of the analysis show that the Dijkstra algorithm provides a high level of accuracy and guarantees optimal results, although it requires more time and memory. The Greedy algorithm excels in time efficiency and simplicity, but does not guarantee an optimal solution. The A* algorithm combines the strengths of Dijkstra and Greedy through a heuristic approach that promises efficiency and accuracy at the same time. This study concludes that the selection of algorithms should be adjusted to the context of their application and that the A* algorithm can be an effective compromise solution. These findings are expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions in the development of intelligent and adaptive route optimization systems. Keywords: Dijkstra algorithm, Greedy algorithm, shortest path, route optimization, algorithm comparison
