Abstract

The growing concerns of cloud storage privacy would necessitate local network storage. We are proposing to build do-it-yourself Data Storage server and test its cost-effectiveness. We are comparing homebrew data storage server against pre-built Network-Attached Storage and Cloud Storage providers. We conclude that using homebrew network storage server is slightly more cost effective albeit not as user-friendly to set up. Our recommendation is for user to build one and we provided the guide.

Abstract

A proper choice of state management library can increase the performance of the Flutter for Android application development. BLoC and Provider are the most popular state management libraries nowadays. Unlike setState, which rebuilds all widgets, the state management library allows apps to rebuild only those widgets that have state changes. However, it is not known yet how much it increased the performance by using BLoC or Provider as a state management library. This study focused on the effect of using state management libraries on the widget build process in Flutter. It was conducted by developing setState, BloC, and Provider. The performance was measured by CPU utilization, memory usage, and execution time. Experimental results show that applications that use BLoC result in (1) CPU utilization of 0.45% (2.14% more efficient), (2) memory usage of 23.27 MB (8.19% more efficient), and (3) execution time of 3.54 seconds (16.36% more efficient). The application that uses Provider results in (1) CPU utilization 0.54% (2.57% more efficient), (2) memory usage of 32.01 MB (11.27% more efficient), and (3) execution time of 4.10 seconds (19.44% more efficient). However, it should be noted that these results occur when BLoC and Provider are implemented in the leaf widget.

Abstract

The test is one way to measure the level of student ability in participating in learning. One type of exam given to students is the type of essay exam. This research focuses on making automatic grading for essay-type tests using cosine similarity. This method has several stages such as tokenizing, filtering, stemming, analyzing, weighing words in documents with cosine similarity. The stemming process uses the Nazief & Adriani algorithm. The results of this study are concluded that the selection of words that are considered as keywords in the answer key greatly affects the results of the assessment of the system. This is evidenced by testing applying the cosine law of 89.5%. However, there are several types of questions that are significantly different because there are unique characters in the database and answer keys that do not contain keywords that match the correct answer.

Abstract

An expert system on cat skin is a system that is intended for cat owners in which there are several problems that often occur based on observations of complaints that often occur for cat owners, from these problems I have conducted a research on several doctors to find solutions to some of the problems that I have researched, from the various problems that I have found I propose to create an expert system for skin diseases in cats with a Web-based forward chaining method. This forward chaining method is expected to make it easier for users to find out what skin diseases are being experienced by cats based on the rules that have been applied in the form of choices from various questions that have been presented to the user to achieve the goal in the form of output results (Consultation Results Report). So in the consultation report the user can find out what skin disease is being suffered by the cat and there are also consultation results that encourage the user to follow up for a direct consultation with the doctor.
