Abstract

ABSTRACT The prevalence of diabetes mellitus is increasing globally, nationally, and regionally, and most of them are type 2 diabetes mellitus, which can cause complications, economic losses, and death. The purpose of this study is to examine the analysis of determinants and predictions of type 2 diabetes mellitus using machine learning methods. This study uses the scoping review method to view, accumulate and synthesize the results of previous studies on the analysis of determinants and predictions of type 2 diabetes mellitus using machine learning methods. The inclusion criteria in this study were articles published in the indexed journal database PubMed, Google Scholar, Crossref in English and Indonesian, journals published in the 2017-2021 range and 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The search results were a total of 860 articles from 3 databases (PubMed, Google Scholar, Crossref) in which 98 of them were duplicate articles and were excluded. Of the remaining 762 articles, 142 were not full text and 605 were excluded after eligibility screening because they were irrelevant. The remaining 15 articles were systematically reviewed and qualitatively analyzed using the NVIVO-12 Plus application. From the analysis of previous studies concluded that age, obesity, family history of disease, and lack of physical activity are risk factors for type 2 diabetes mellitus, while the gender variable from the analysis of previous research shows that there is no significant relationship between gender and type 2 diabetes. With early prediction of type 2 diabetes mellitus preventive measures, treatment can be carried out immediately and reduce the incidence of complications that can worsen the condition of people with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract

Although some previous studies have discussed the nursing process for type 2 diabetes mellitus; however, research that specifically discusses adapting the nursing process for type 2 diabetes mellitus through needs analysis has never been studied before. This systematic review aims to review some research publications on nurses' understanding of type 2 diabetes mellitus, the nursing process for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, and a needs analysis based type 2 nursing process training model. By using descriptive qualitative research methods, this study uses scientific journal publications in the last ten years as the object of research to describe the condition of nurses' understanding of type 2 diabetes mellitus, the nursing process of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients, and nursing training models based on needs analysis. The results of this systematic review revealed that most of the research journal articles focused on revealing the care of patients with diabetes mellitus by doctors, medical therapy for patients with diabetes mellitus, and comorbidities caused by diabetes mellitus. However, research on nursing training to intensify the implementation of the nursing process for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus is still very rarely done. By observing this condition, research on the implementation of the nursing process for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus based on analysis is very necessary to improve the quality of health services for patients with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) is a process of voluntary counseling and HIV testing at the initiative of the individual concerned. The number of VCT visits at the Sidomulyo Inpatient Health Center has decreased from 2018 which was 35.5%, in 2019 as many as 18.5% and in 2020 11.2%. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) services at UPTD Puskesmas Sidomulyo Inpatient Pekanbaru City. This study used a qualitative research design based on the input components and the VCT service process, with the number of informants was 13 people. The results of the study indicate that human resources for VCT services at the Sidomulyo Inpatient Health Center already have a team, consisting of doctors, paramedics, administrative officers and laboratory officers. However they have other main tasks that must be carried out at the same time. The impact of having multiple tasks makes VCT services less than optimal. Officers in outreach to inspection targets in the field are still lacking where in this outreach requires collaboration with other sectors such as NGOs. The VCT service infrastructure is sufficient, although not up to standard. The VCT service method is in accordance with the SOP/guidelines/technical instructions. The VCT service program at the Sidomulyo Inpatient Health Center has not been going well. This is due to the dual duties of the VCT officer. It is hoped that VCT officers can arrange VCT schedules so that they do not clash with other tasks. Increase cross-sectoral cooperation in targeting. Keywords: implementasi; Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT).

Abstract

The quality of health services is multi-dimensional. Judging from the users of health services, the notion of service quality is more related to the responsiveness of officers to meet patient needs, smooth communication between officers and patients. Empathy is a tendency to understand the condition or state of mind of others, the slightest changes and responses in patients must be understood, because they must understand the patient's condition, health workers must have empathy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the empathy of health workers and patient satisfaction during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Rambung Binjai Selatan in 2022. This type of research was descriptive analytic using a cross sectional design. The population in this study were patients who visited the Puskesmas Rambung Binjai Selatan during the Covid-19 pandemic starting from January to July 2022 totaling 2,800 people with an average of 250 people per month. The sample is the part taken from the whole object under study and is considered to represent the entire population. Sampling is a sampling technique with certain considerations desired by the researcher (objective / problem in research) so that the sample can represent the characteristics of the population that have been known previously. The sampling method used the Purpose Sampling method as many as 96 samples. The result of the study is that there is a relationship between empathy and patient satisfaction during the Covid-19 pandemic at the Rambung Binjai Selatan Health Center with a p value of 0.003.
