Abstract

Background malaria fever is a disease that is still a problem in developing countries. Plasmodium bergheiis a facultative intracellular parasite, so the immune system that plays a role is the cellular system. Morinda citrifolia is a traditional medicinal plant that contains many active compounds that can reduce the number of malaria parasitemia. Proving the immunomodulatory effect of ethanol extract ofmorinda citrifolia on phagocytosis activity of Balb/c mice infected with Plasmodium berghei. The data were obtained from calculating the number of phagocytosis activity of macrophage cells in each field of view. A different test for macrophage phagocytosis using One Way ANOVA followed by Post Hoct Test. Method this type of research is experimental with the design of the post-test only control group design in experimental animals balb/c mice consisting of 24 male mice, divided into 4 groups. (K) is the control group given Aquabidest, and the treatment group (P1, P2, P3) which was given extract morinda citrifolia with stratified doses (0.64 mg / kgBb / day, 1.28 mg / kgBb / day, 2.56 mg / kgBb / day). The treatment process was given for 13 days and on the 6th day was infected with Plasmodium bergheias much as 0.1 ml x 106 intraperitoneally. On the 14th day, peritoneal fluid isolation was carried out followed by an examination of macrophage cell phagocytosis activity. Result ethanol extract Morinda citrifolia can increase macrophage phagocytosis, between control and treatment P1, P2, and P3 have significant differences, but between treatments, there is no significant difference. Conclusion. Ethanol extract of Morinda citrifolia in various doses can increase the phagocytosis of macrophages in Babl/c mice infected with Plasmodium berghei.

Abstract

Blood pressure is a condition where a person's blood pressure is high because of the narrowing of the arteries so that the pressure increases. Age is life time. Sodium is the main cation in extracellular fluid. Smoking is one of the factors associated with hypertension, and RLPP has a lot of fat in the stomach. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence systolic blood pressure in police officers. The design of this study was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. This study is a member of the Police in Central Bengkulu Police with a random sampling technique and obtained 59 samples. The design of this study was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 59 members of the Police in Bengkulu Tengah Police Station, with a random sampling technique. This study used univariate and bivariate analysis, for univariate using frequency test the results showed an average blood pressure of 122 mmHg, an average age of 36 years, an average RLPP of 0.15 and an average sodium consumption of 1114 mg. Whereas for bivariate using chi square test found no relationship between systolic blood pressure and age, there was a relationship between systolic blood pressure and smoking history (OR = 10,467; p <0,0005), there was a relationship between systolic blood pressure with RLPP (OR = 178; p <0,0005), there is a relationship between systolic blood pressure and sodium consumption (OR = 0.351; p <0,0005) in police officers at Bengkulu Central Police Station in 2020. It is expected that respondents will be able to receive information so that preventive efforts can be made against blood pressure diseases in the future.

Abstract

Obesity is a major health problem among children. The etiology of childhood obesity is multifactorial and it leads to many complications in adulthood.This study aimed to assess the differences in nutritional knowledge and characteristics of parents in obese and non-obese adolescents. This case control descriptive research was conducted on all students of Permai Pluit Junior High School and their parents. Nutritional knowledge and characteristics of parents were obtained by self-report using a questionnaire. The weight and height of the subjects were measured according to standard methods and body mass index was calculated, then assessed with CDC growth charts. Data were analyzed using chi square, Kolmogorov Smirnov, and Fisher Exact test; significance level was set at 0.05. The prevalence of obesity was 18.21%. There was no significant relationship between nutritional knowledge of parents and nutritional status of adolescent (p = 0.750). There was also no significant relationships between characteristics of parents and nutritional status of adolescents (mothers’ education, p = 0.907; fathers’ education, p = 0.203, mothers’ occupation, p = 0,627, fathers’ occupation, p = 0.151). In conclusion, there is no relationship between neither nutritional knowledge nor characteristics of parents and nutritional status of adolescents.

Abstract

The Difference Of Physical Activity In Obese And Non-Obese Adolescents Of Permai Pluit Junior High School Students Obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that presents a risk to health. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), at least 2.8 million people die every year as a result of being obesity. The prevalence of obesity in women is higher (26.9%) than males (16.3%) and according to RISKESDAS (2013) showed that the prevalence of obesity in adolescents, aged 13-15, in Indonesia amounted to 2.5%. The aim of this study is to assess the differences of physical activity in obese and non-obese adolescents. The design of this research is descriptive analytical research with case control categorical approach. The sample is the entire of Permai Pluit Junior High School student. The level of physical activity is assessed by using the Baecke Questionnaire, which has been modified and is statistically analyzed using Chi square test with Fischer Exact for an alternative test. All students in Permai Pluit Junior High School have varying levels of activity. The obese students in Permai Pluit Junior High School are amounted to 14.44% and there is significant difference between physical activity and nutritional status (p = 0.011). The level of physical activity that is most often committed by the girl students is medium intensity (34,12%) as well as by the boy students is severe intensity (25,98%). Conclusion there is significant difference between physical activity and nutritional status among adolescents of Permai Pluit Junior High School students.

Abstract

The health and nutritional status of pregnant women determined at teenager and adult during a eligible woman, so everyone must have knowledge, attitudes and behaviors about nutrition so that they don’t have mistakes in food selection. The purpose of this observation is determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and behavior about nutritional balance with the nutritional status of students in Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu in 2020. The design of this observation is obsevational cross-sectional design conducted in January in Poltekkes Kemenkes Bengkulu with a population of 640 people and a sample of 60 people. The statistical analysis used the pearson correlation test. The results showed that the average knowledge about balanced nutrition was good enough, the average attitude about balanced nutrition was good, the average behavior about balanced nutrition was good and the average nutritional status of female students was in the normal category. There is a relationship between knowledge about nutritional balance with nutritional status of student (r = 0.324), there is a relationship between attitudes about nutritional balance with nutritional status of student (r = 0.373), and there is a relationship between behavior about nutritional balance with nutritional status of student (r = 0.343). It is expected that students can improve their knowledge, attitudes and behaviors about nutritional balance.

Abstract

Pineapple plants contain a very important enzyme called bromeilin. Bromeilin is one type of protein enzymatic. The benefits of bromelin are as meat plasters which can damage the cell walls through enzymatic reactions. This research was conducted to determine the activity of pineapple extract and lemongrass oil extract as aedes aegypti mosquito larvae killer Instar III. It has been done research on the activity test of pineapple extract to death of larvae of aedes aegypti instar 3 mosquito. Pineapple extract is made with concentration from 1to 10 ppm. Each concentration was tested in 25 larvae of aedes aegypti for 24 hours to observe the killing activity. After 24 hours the number of dead aedes aegypti larvae was count. Then the data was determined by parametric test Kruskal-Wallis. Results obtained: there was a significant difference in the presentation of the death of aedes aegypti intar III larvae at various concentrations. The optimal combination of pineapple extract and lemongrass oil was at 4 ppm concentration (p = 0.007).

Abstract

X-ray film is something that can not be separated in the world of radiology, in the form of large sheets and can only be seen using a film viewer. Film viewer, as a medium for clearly seeing X-ray films, often provides an excessive illumination dimension to the dimensions of the film you want to see. The purpose of this study is to create a film viewer module that automatically turns on the LED following the size of the film you want to put, capture images and save them at MMC. The method of this research is Arduino Mega based automatic film viewer design system. Colomn and row accuracy test results obtained a stable value, although tested using different X-ray film sizes with an accuracy level above 85%. The images captured by the camera are stored on MMC, formatted in the .JPG format and can be accessed for review. The conclusion in this study in the form of making an automatic X-Ray Film Viewer system has obtained the results beginning with the design of the Block diagram. Designing hardware and software that is done properly, can minimize errors and mismatches results in the manufacture and design of automatic X-Ray Film Viewer. The function test, which is carried out as a representation of the suitability of hardware and software design, is focused on the quality of the work to turn on the LED according to film size in rows and columns.

Abstract

The use of traditional medicine as an alternative treatment is increasing with the tendency of lifestyle back to nature. This shift of the at is seen from the rise of products of the many natural materials circulating the market. This is due to the unreality of adequate health facilities, expensive medicinal prices, and side effects of synthetic drugs. Thus encouraging people to leverage traditional medicine. Nyamplung seed oil (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) is reported to have pharmacological activity as an antioxidant and sunscreen, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and wound healers. In Indonesia, the utilization of Nyamplung seed oil is often found for biodiesel. This study was conducted to determine the chemical content and antioxidant activity of Nyamplung oil (Calophyllum inophyllum L.) and compared with Vitamin C. The identification of a group of compounds is conducted with phytochemical screening tests and shows Nyamplung seed oil containing flavonoids, steroids, alkaloids, phenols, and tannins. Antioxidant activity is carried out by the DPPH method and indicates Nyamplung seed oil has antioxidant activity with a value of IC50 3.18 ug/mL. The antioxidant activity of Nyamplung seed oil has a strong activity category and is almost identical to vitamin C activity.

Abstract

Identifikasi dan Penetapan Kadar Jajanan Berwarna Merah Diduga Mengandung Rhodamin B di Pasar Cileungsi secara Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Makanan jajanan menjadi bagian yang tidak terpisahkan dari kehidupan masyarakat. Konsumsi makanan jajanan diperkirakan akan terus meningkat, dengan dijajakannya makanan dalam bentuk dan warna yang menarik dan mencolok sehingga dapat menarik konsumen untuk mengkonsumsinya. Namun permasalahannya apakah warna mencolok yang ditambahkan ke dalam pangan tersebut berasal dari pewarna yang aman atau dilarang penggunaannya. Pengujian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah jajanan yang berwarna merah mengandung pewarna rhodamin B dan seberapa besar konsentrasinya. Telah dilakukan uji kualitatif dan kuantitatif sebanyak 16 sampel jajanan berwarna merah yang didapat dari Pasar Cileungsi yang diduga mengandung pewarna sintetik rhodamin B. Metode yang digunakan spektrofotometri UV-Vis pada panjang gelombang 558 nm setelah sampel diekstraksi dan apabila sampel positif rhodamin B maka dilanjutkan untuk penetapan kadar. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan sebanyak 8 sampel mengandung rhodamin B yaitu kue apem 2,606 ppm, kue putu ayu 2,594 ppm, rengginang 15,312 ppm, kue mangkok 2,708 ppm, cenil 9,276 ppm, kerupuk pasir 19,991 ppm, cone ice cream 35,174 ppm, kerupuk gulali 15,231 ppm, sedangkan 8 sampel lainnya dinyatakan negatif mengandung rhodamin B. Berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor 472 Tahun 1996 tentang pengamanan bahan berbahaya bagi kesehatan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa jajanan yang telah diuji menunjukkan bahwa 8 dari 16 sampel tidak memenuhi syarat karena mengandung rhodamin B.

Abstract

Toddlers are children who have reached the age of one year or are commonly used to calculate the age of 12-59 months (Muaris, 2006). Experts classify the age of the toddler as a stage of development of children who are quite susceptible to various diseases, including diseases caused by lack or excess intake of certain types of nutrients. Every year more than a third of child deaths in the world are related to malnutrition. The study design uses quantitative descriptive with cross sectional approach. with a total sampling technique in accordance with inclusion criteria. Toddlers who get Recovery PMT at Nusa Indah Health Center., Willing to be sampled by using a statement willing to be a respondent (informed Consent), and Residing in the Nusa Indah Health Center Working Area Bengkulu City. Based on the results of statistical tests with univariate test analysis it was found that 17 (89.5%) had less carbohydrate intake, (42.1%) had less protein intake, and 78.9%) had less fat intake. The results of research on the description of macro nutrient intake (carbohydrates, protein, fat) in infants aged 12-59 months received PMT Recovery at the Nusa Indah health center can be concluded that the majority of toddlers aged 12-59 months received PMT Recovery in Nusa Indah has less carbohydrate intake, Most of toddlers aged 12-59 months get Recovery PMT in Nusa Indah have less protein intake, Most toddlers aged 12-59 months get Recovery PMT in Nusa Indah have less fat intake.
