Abstract

The goal of the study was to determine the effectiveness of using the "Unstoppable" song to increase the medical record students' mastery on simple present tense at STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang. Lack of attractive media and students' proficiency with the simple present tense in spoken and written language were the problems. The methodology used was a class action research study of the Kemmis and Mc Taggart design with two cycles. The model included was planning, action, observation, and reflection. The respondents were 36 students of first semester in medical record at STIKes Widya Dharma Husada Tangerang. The outcomes demonstrated that employing this medium resulted in a significant improvement. It appears as follows, in the first cycle, the original condition of 60.92 was raised to 71.44; in the second cycle, 71.44 was raised to 84.19. To sum up, teaching the students of medical record with "Unstoppable" song could be an effective way to help them become more proficient with the simple present tense.

Abstract

The development of technology that exists today has been applied in various dimensions of life, including education, the increasingly widespread use of learning media that uses technology makes it easier for teachers to provide material anywhere and anytime. This technology-based learning media facilitates the learning process in terms of effectiveness & efficiency. The study aims to determine the views or perspectives of student learning motivation in using the Learning Management System (LMS) as a learning media. This type of research was conducted using descriptive quantitative research. This research data collection uses a survey method with observation techniques, interviews and online questionnaires or questionnaires via google form. Based on the results of observations supported by interviews and on the analysis of questionnaire data obtained from 100 students of the Network Computer Engineering expertise program in the 2022/2023 school year at SMK Negeri 1 Serang City, it shows that students have a positive perception of the utilization of learning management system-based learning so as to increase learning motivation, supported by the results of learning motivation scoring criteria with a final result of 3.48 which states that "agree" Learning Management System learning media can increase motivation and encouragement in student learning motivation in certain conditions and situations.

Abstract

The implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in madrasas aims to improve the quality of education as a whole. TQM provides the concept that quality is the responsibility of all parties involved in the educational process. This study aims to determine the implementation of TQM in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) and the factors that influence it. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the implementation of TQM in MA has been going well and has affected the improvement of the quality of education. Factors influencing the implementation of TQM include support from school principals, active participation of all relevant parties, effective measurement and evaluation systems, and implementation of staff training and development. This study recommends the need for increased awareness and active participation of all parties involved in the implementation of TQM and the need for continuous development and training for madrasah staff.

Abstract

This article is a literature review that discusses normative ethics in management and education, the purpose of writing this article is to discuss how normative ethics exist and develop in society, especially in the educational community related to students, teachers and all teaching staff and education, reveals various problems of violations of normative ethics that often occur in the world of education and how to instill good ethics in students as one of the goals of educational management. The research method used in this article is literature study or literature study from various sources such as books, journals, and also news about ethical issues in education. In the discussion of this article, it discusses the types of ethics that develop in society, namely descriptive ethics, normative ethics and meta-ethics, how ethics are used in management which become ethical principles, namely the principle of autonomy, the principle of honesty, the principle of justice, the principle of mutual benefit and principles of moral integrity and case studies on ethical violations in education.

Abstract

This present study aims to investigate how the EFL adult learners use translation strategies to overcome the problems in translating and understanding the formal documents. The method was case study. The participants were five employees from CV Biru Langit Lestari. The company is located in Serang, Banten Province, Indonesia. The data collecting technique was observation and interview. The data analysis, meanwhile, used the Miles and Huberman Model. This study reveals that the translation strategies may help the learners to overcome the problems in understanding the formal documents. They use Google Translate as MT only as the preliminary process in translation. They choose both direct and indirect strategies in understanding and translating the documents. They used both borrowing and literal for direct strategies, then transposition and adaptation for indirect strategies.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out the role played by parents and teachers in online learning activities at SD Negeri Cibentang 02, Bantarkawung District during the pandemic and the obstacles parents and teachers had in implementing online learning. The research was a descriptive qualitative study, in class V SD Negeri Cibentang 02 Bantarkawung District and the informants in this study were eight parents of class V and teachers of class V. The data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. Data obtained from informants were then analyzed by triangulation of sources, triangulation of techniques and research results. The results of the research that has been conducted on the role of parents and teachers in online learning of science subjects, show that parents provide direction and assistance to children, provide facilities to support learning activities and motivate and advise children to learn. The role of the teacher in the teacher's online learning activities is as a mediator, motivator, informator of learning organizers. Obstacles experienced by parents when providing assistance to children, namely time constraints due to parents' lack of mastery of children's learning material by parents and the condition of students who still like to play. The inhibiting factors experienced by teachers include poor network and facilities because not all students have androids and quotas to take part in online learning activities. Factors supporting the role of teachers and parents in online learning include student activity when learning, smooth and stable internet network, creative and innovative learning media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of the quizizz application on students' learning motivation. After application, whether it has increased or not. The research method used by researchers is qualitative method, where information is taken directly from the field. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this research were students of SMK Negeri 1 Kota Serang class X DKV 1, with a sample of 38 students, using a purposive sampling technique. While the object of research is motivation in using quizizz-based evaluation applications. Based on the results of the questionnaire data, all of the responses strongly agreed and agreed to get 67.2% indicating that the use of Quizizz was very effective in increasing student learning motivation and the interviews conducted showed that students were motivated to learn when knowing the value that appears in the Quizizz application after being played makes students to study harder to follow the evaluation. The conclusion of this study is that the quizizz application is very good to use to create learning motivation in conducting each evaluation. This research provides a discourse for teachers to be able to use quiziz as an alternative medium to find out learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the description of teacher creativity and solutions to foster teacher creativity in increasing learning motivation at SDN Drangong 1, Takakan District, Serang City, Banten Province. The approach used is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data obtained from direct observation and analysis of reading materials or theories. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study show that: (1) the creativity of teachers in developing methods, media and presentation of material, learning techniques at SDN Drangong 1 are not maximized; (2) the right form of teacher creativity can be carried out at SDN Drangong 1 namely developing the use of varied methods, appropriate media, presenting contextual material, giving praise and appreciating student work including creating creativity by learning through peers through visits between classes to find ideas just solving problems in class. The conclusion of the research is that developing creativity really helps teachers create a conducive academic environment in the learning process. High creativity for a teacher is necessary so that creativity is fully developed in all subjects. In the end students are motivated to learn. In fact, learning problems will continue and never stop, for this reason, teacher creativity continues to be developed.

Abstract

This research was conducted because the level of basic techniques skill of volleyball game students who did not know volleyball extracurricular at Saguling 1 Senior High School West Bandung was not yet known. The purpose of this study was to determine how much the level of basic techniques skills in volleyball game extracurricular volleyball students at Saguling 1 Senior High School West Bandung. This research is a quantitative descriptive study, the method used in this study is a survey method. The population used is the volleyball extracurricular students at amounting to 20 people. Data collection techniques using the top passing test using AAHPER face wall volleyball test, bottom passing test using the Brumbach forearms pass volleyball test, smash test using the stanley spike test, service accuracy test using the AAHPER serving accuracy test. The data analysis technique used was descriptive survey test. The results of the study can show that, as many as 3 students or (15%) are in the "very good" category, 1 student or (5%) are in the "good" category, 8 students or (40%) are in the "moderate" category, 8 students or (40%) are in the "less" category and 0 students or (0%) are in the "very less" category. Whereas based on the average value, which is 79.2; the basic technical skills of volleyball ball extracurricular students at Saguling 1 Senior High School West Bandung are "medium".

Abstract

In middle school management, the challenge of change can be implemented effectively if management and administration are managed properly. Various internal conflicts in the process of providing education usually arise due to bad management. This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The study used subjects at MA Daar El-Ulum Saketi, Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The definition of a person takes into account competence, knowledge, experience and personal characteristics that can influence operational, organizational and public performance and leadership roles. Inter-industry activities which are also carried out with external components are the focus of the leadership in the process of realizing the vision and mission of the organization.
