Abstract

This paper reports ZnPt bimetallic nanoparticles (ZnPtBNs) synthesis through the liquid phase deposition (LPD) of of Zn(NO3)2.6H2O onto the indium-titanium oxide (ITO) substrates at various concentrations. The Effects of growth solution, the morphology, structural, and sheet resistance were studied. After preparation, the materials were characterized by using field emission electron microscopy (FESEM), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Four Point Probe (FPP) measurement by using Keithley 2401 source-meter. By inserting a growth solution into the ITO substrate the ZnPtBNs was successfully in-situ prepared. The synthesized ZnPtBNs exhibited homogeneous, fibrous at the (111) orientation with an average diameter of 100-700 nm. The atomic ratio of Zn:Pt and sheet resistance of ZnPtBNs decreased with the increase of Zn(NO3)2.6H2O concentration. The optimal elemental composition of the sample was at a ratio of Zn:Pt (1:25) obtained at 0.467 mM of Zn(NO3)2.6H2O. It showed the smallest sheet resistance (13.41 ?) which was 38% lower than the ITO sheet resistance (18.44 ?).

Abstract

This study investigates the culture-based instructional materials (C-BIM) model to improve students’ reading and writing skills viewed from critical thinking skills at the junior-high-school in Indonesia. This study is a mixed-method employing the explanatory sequential design. The data are in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data are collected first and followed by the quantitative one. The research instruments are in the form of reading and writing tests, questionnaires, and interview sheets. The test is used to see the students’ reading and writing achievements. Meanwhile, the questionnaire is utilized to determine the students’ and teachers’ intercultural awareness and perception of incorporating cultures in teaching materials. The data of reading-writing achievement are analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Thus, the data of students’ and teachers’ cultural awareness and perception are gained by applying qualitative steps: analysis, reduction, coding, interpretation, and conclusion. Based on the result of the research, this study indicates that the C-BIM model significantly affects students’ reading and writing skills. Also, it has an interaction between teaching materials and critical thinking skills. Researchers elaborate on those in the discussion part of this article regarding the students' intercultural competence and perception.

Abstract

The potential of thin layer in many applications has led to research on the development of many new materials and their fabrication methods. This study aimed to synthesize a thin layer of ZnO using the facile and low-cost sol-gel spin coating method. The ZnO thin layer is deposited on a glass substrate and analyzed to observe the influence of the deposition variables such as heating and rotation speed, and its aging. The characterization methods include the identification of the formed phase using X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), and the microstructure and elemental composition using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) coupled with EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectrometer). The study shows that a thin layer of ZnO is successfully deposited on a glass substrate by heat treatment at temperatures of 300 oC and 500 oC. Furthermore, XRD reveals that higher heating temperatures result in higher diffraction peak intensity. At a heating temperature of 300 °C crystals are formed but are not yet perfectly oriented, while they are at 500 °C. On the other hand, higher spin coating rotation speed gives rise to lower intensity of diffraction peak. The ZnO crystallization is easier to form in the coating process with a lower rotation (1500 rpm). Interestingly, the thin layer is stable over time where there is no significant change in each sample, both in terms of intensity and width of the ZnO crystal peak. The results indicate that gel precursor aged less than two days can form ZnO crystals. Finally, SEM results show that the surface morphology of the ZnO layer heated at 500 oC has an average grain size of 300 nm. Based on the cross-sectional results of SEM shows that the higher the coating rotation speed has resulted the thinner of the ZnO layer, where the thickness of the resulting layer is on order >5 mm.

Abstract

[Title:  Effect of Listening Team Learning Techniques on Student Social Studies Learning Outcomes].   The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the listening team learning techniques on students’ social studies learning outcomes of SMK Negeri 2 Dompu in the 2016/2017 learning year. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a quantitative approach. The study sample consisted of 89 students consisting of two classes namely the experimental class (47 students) and the control class (42 students). The multiple choice form test instrument consisting of 20 test questions is used to obtain student learning outcomes data. The effect of listening team techniques on learning outcomes was tested using the t test. The results showed that the use of listening team techniques had no significant effect on students’ learning outcomes in social studies subjects of SMK Negeri 2 Dompu. The results of data analysis using the t-test formula show the value of tcount <ttable (0.007059 < 2.000). Based on the results, it can be stated that there is no significant effect of listening team techniques on students’ social studies learning outcomes of SMK Negeri 2 Dompu in the 2016/2017 learning year.

Abstract

[Title: Relationship of Hand Eye Coordination, Arm Strength and Achievement Motivation with Forehand Accuracy in Table Tennis]  This study aims to determine the relationship between: 1) hand eye coordination with precision forehand; 2) arm strength with forehand precision; 3) achievement motivation with precision forehand; 4) hand eye coordination, arm strength, and achievement motivation together with forehand precision. This research uses quantitative approach, survey method and correlation technique. Research subjects are athletes at pandusiwi club in dompu district as many as 30 athletes. Data analysis using correlation and regression with SPSS 20. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between: 1) hand eye coordination with precision forehand; 2) arm strength with forehand precision; 3) achievement motivation with precision forehand; 4) hand eye coordination, arm strength, and achievement motivation together with forehand precision.

Abstract

[Title: Analysis of Special Level Pattern of Social Life of Donggo People: A Review of Social and Cultural History] It has been done by analyzing the characteristics of the social life of the Donggo community in Bima District (a social history review) in the field of marriage, with the aim of describing, the characteristic pattern of the social life of the Donggo community in Bima District. The data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively with the result that both the observation and the interview result were the characteristics of social life pattern of Donggo community in Bima district in the field of marriage which started from the process of cane cepe (Stereo Infant Sling), Sodi Angi (Engaged), Ngge'e Nuru (Living Together), Mbolo Weki (Deliberation/Mufakat), Wa'a Co'i (Delivery Mahar/Dowry), Teka ra Ne’e (Contribution). is still ongoing until now and still maintained by the people of Donggo tribe in the Village of O'o Donggo District of Bima Regency in social life as a form of preservation of their old culture and tradition which has been passed down from generation to generation.

Abstract

[Title: Development of Physics Cognitive Instruments Of Junior High School Students]  This study aims to develop cognitive instruments on energy and business materials, simple aircraft and light quality. The specific purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the validity of cognitive instruments seen from Outfit MNSQ, ZSTD, and Pt Measure Corr; (2) the reliability of cognitive instruments seen from the values of individual separation, grain separation, and Cronbach Alpha; (3) the degree of difficulty seen from the logit value in the measurement column; This development research refers to the development model of Borg and Gall with the subject of research of 200 students of class VIII originating from several SMPN in Banjarmasin. Instrument collecting data in the form of validation and cognitive instruments. Data analysis techniques are descriptive and quantitative. The results showed: (1) five items of description on light material, nine items about the description of simple plane materials and nine items about the description of energy materials and businesses that are categorized as valid; (2) reliability of cognitive instruments seen from individual separation values, grain separation values, and Cronbach Alpha values are categorized as very reliable; (3) the difficulty level of questions seen from the logit of categorized is very difficult, difficult, easy, and very easy.

Abstract

[Title: Comparison of Integrated IPS Learning Outcomes Cooperative Learning Model Type Two Stay-Two Stray With Lecture Method]  This study aims to develop student learning outcomes using the Two Stay-Two Stray type cooperative learning model. The research method used is a quantitative method. The results showed that there were differences in the learning outcomes of the cooperative learning model type two stay-two stray with conventional methods in integrated social studies subjects of class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Dompu in the 2016/2017 learning year. The statement can be strengthened and proven by the results of data analysis using the T-test formula to produce a tcount of 0.651 compared to ttable of 0.249, it can be stated that there are differences in integrated social studies learning outcomes of students using cooperative learning type two stay-two stray with the Method The conventional class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Dompu and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) proposed in this study were accepted.

Abstract

[Title:  Perception Of Teachers And Students On The Physical Learning Process Based On Curriculum 2013]  This study aims to determine: (1) the perception of physics teachers to apply a scientific approach, (2) the perceptions of students on the physics learning process carried out by teachers, (3) the relationship between students' perceptions and the ability of teachers to carry out physics-based learning scientific approach. This research is a survey research using a descriptive correlational approach. The research sample included 18 physics teachers and 494 students spread across 10 Public High Schools in Yogyakarta City which were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaires from teachers and students and observation sheets. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. Research Results (1) The teacher has a very positive perception of the implementation of a scientific approach in scientific learning; (2) Students give a positive response to the process of physics learning carried out by the teacher; (3) There is a positive and significant relationship between the perceptions of students and the ability of teachers to carry out physics learning based on the scientific approach.

Abstract

[Title:  The Implementation of Experiment Method to Improve Student’s Learning Motivation].   The purpose of this study was to improve the learning motivation of Learners of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram using the experimental method. This research is a classroom action research model of Kemmis and Taggart consisting of three cycles. The stages of each cycle consist of the planning stage, the stage of action, the stage of observation, the stage of reflection. The research implementation subjects were class VIII-3 students, amounting to 29 people on simple aircraft material. The results showed that students' learning motivation in the first cycle obtained an average score of 56.25% consisting of 50% attention, relevance 40%, confidence 75% and satisfaction 60%. Cycle II the average score of students is 68.75% consisting of 72% attention, 78% relevance, 60% confidence and 65% satisfaction. The third cycle average score of 83.27% consisted of 84.16% attention, relevance 80.68%, confidence 84.55% and satisfaction 83.55%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of experimental methods can increase students' learning motivation in class VIII-3 on Simple Plane material.
