Abstract

Sufism has existed for a long time in the Western world, especially in Europe. However, it continues to develop amidst the rejection of Islam. It has become an alternative for European society as a solution to the moral and psychological crisis, according to the views of some people in Europe and the Western world. The article's writing was carried out using a literature study with a descriptive analysis approach assisted by inductive historical aspects, which produced a new perception of the development of Islamic Sufism in the West, especially in Europe. Western thought is based solely on materialism, which no longer considers religion, human relationships with God, and human relationships related to divine rules. People who participate in the teachings of Sufism want to find peace of mind away from the exploitation of fellow humans and the material world, which no longer humanizes humans. The phenomenon of Islamic Sufism being transmitted to Western countries and its embrace by many thinkers and intellectuals has produced new issues and problems that have proven the extent of the fertility of Islamic thought in general and the extent of the richness of Sufism in particular and its ability to break into the strongest material civilizations and brand them with its spiritual character. Likewise, the liberation of women in Western countries and their desire to show Leadership and excellence are found in Sufism.

Abstract

This ethnographic study aims to explore the religious values embedded in the Aruh Maulud tradition practiced by the Banjar community in Lubuk Bayas Village. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with traditional leaders and community members, and documentation during the event. The findings reveal that the Aruh Maulud tradition is not only a commemoration of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), but also embodies religious values such as Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah), generosity and charity, as well as gratitude to Allah SWT. These values are manifested in religious activities such as maulid recitations, the sharing of traditional food, and harmonious social interactions among community members. In conclusion, the Aruh Maulud tradition in Lubuk Bayas Village plays a significant role in strengthening the religious and cultural identity of the Banjar people, and serving as a medium for imparting Islamic values to the younger generation.

Abstract

This study addresses the legal norm disparity concerning the provision of nafaqah mut’ah (consolation maintenance) in wife-initiated divorces. While Islamic law and Indonesia’s Compilation of Islamic Law generally grant such maintenance to wives divorced by their husbands, the regulation is unclear when the wife files for divorce. This research aims to examine the legal standing of nafaqah mut’ah for wives initiating divorce, within the framework of Islamic and Indonesian positive law. A qualitative descriptive-analytical method was applied, involving document analysis and interviews with judges and legal practitioners. The findings show that nafaqah mut’ah is typically not granted in such cases unless the court determines that the husband bears fault in the marital breakdown. These findings underscore the need for legal reform in Islamic family law to enhance gender justice and legal certainty, aligning with the broader objectives of Islamic law in promoting fairness and public welfare.

Abstract

This sociological juridical research aims to reveal how parents of people with disabilities in one area of Yogyakarta city strive to realize the goal of a harmonious, loving, and compassionate marriage within their limitations as a family classified as a pre-sakinah family. Following the legal research, social research was conducted by relying on in-depth interviews with two parents with disabilities and village officials related to family life at the research location. Triangulation was carried out by extending the research period. The results showed that these families have made efforts according to their living conditions to achieve this goal. Although material well-being is still a concern, efforts to bestow affection within the family are an important way to achieve the goal of a harmonious marriage.

Abstract

This article aims to reveal the branding strategy of the Ath-Thohiriyyah Islamic Boarding School in building Brand Equity in the Digital Era using the Brand Resonance approach. The position of this article is to strengthen previous theories about Islamic boarding school branding by using a different approach. This descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques using interviews. Interviews were conducted with the caretaker's family, administrators, community and alumni. Observation reveal posts on social media. While documentation is used to document the data obtained. The result of this article is that the Ath-Thohiriyyah Islamic boarding school is able to build and even develop its brand equity by making effective use of social media in the current digital era. Ath-Thohiriyyah Islamic Boarding School uses Brand Resonance elements in its branding activities, in the form of brand salience, brand performance, brand image, brand judgment, brand feeling, and Brand Resonance.

Abstract

Free association among adolescents is a social issue that is increasingly worrying in the midst of modern developments. This study aims to examine the implementation of da'wah management principles in the Tanjung Morawa Dare to Hijrah Community in raising adolescent awareness of the dangers of free association. This descriptive qualitative study used interviews and literature study as data collection techniques. The results show that the Dare to Hijrah Community actively applies the principles of consolidation, coordination, tajdid, and ijtihad in all their da'wah programs. The implementation of these principles is realized through various activities such as halaqah (Islamic gatherings), online studies, social programs, and contemporary approaches to adolescents. The consistent application of da'wah management principles has proven effective in fostering adolescent character, strengthening religious understanding, and guiding them away from free association and returning to Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the zakat fund management strategy of the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Labuhanbatu Regency in addressing social disparities in Rantau Prapat. This research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that BAZNAS implements a consumptive and productive zakat distribution strategy, prioritizing the poor and needy. The data collection system is hierarchical to ensure accurate targeting. Despite facing various challenges such as limited funding, data validity, and low zakat literacy, BAZNAS continues to strive to improve program effectiveness through five main areas: economics, education, health, da'wah, and humanitarianism. This strategy contributes to poverty alleviation and sustainable improvement of community welfare.

Abstract

This qualitative-descriptive and thematic interpretation research through literature study aims to examine the values of human dignity in QS. Al-Hujurat [49]: 11 as a preventive effort against increasingly complex bullying acts in the contemporary social context. Four main ethical principles in the verse can be integrated into bullying prevention strategies: verbal prohibition (sukhriyyah), symbolic prohibition (lamz), avoidance of giving bad nicknames (alqab), and a call to repentance as moral correction. Its contribution is significant to the formation of social ethics, character education, and strengthening child protection policies. The study recommends the integration of Qur'anic values in the anti-bullying curriculum and the formation of a culture of mutual respect in physical and digital spaces. Further research to explore the implementative dimensions of this verse through a participatory and interdisciplinary approach.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the opportunities for independent women as an instrument of family economic stability from the perspective of the thematic interpretation of Al-Misbah, focusing on the economic role of working women in the Belibis IV Neighborhood, Kenangan Baru Village, Deli Serdang. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with case study and thematic interpretation methods. Data were collected through library research on the interpretation of Al-Misbah by M. Quraish Shihab and in-depth interviews with four working women informants from various professional backgrounds. The results of the study identified that women have a real contribution to the main family income, increasing household welfare, and influence on domestic decision-making. The main themes that emerged from the field data include the dual role of women, the psychosocial impact of financial independence, and the theological legitimacy of women's work based on the interpretation of QS. An-Nisa [4]: 32. The interpretation of Al-Misbah provides a contextual meaning that emphasizes the fair distribution of gifts and recognition of the efforts of each individual, both men and women. This study has implications for strengthening the discourse of gender interpretation in contemporary Islam and encouraging policies that support equality of family-based economic roles. Further studies are needed to encompass broader regional and professional contexts to enrich understanding of the dynamics of women's economic roles in Muslim societies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the recruitment strategies used by the Majelis Taklim Darusshofa to increase the number of congregants. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with three key informants: the Chairperson, Secretary, and active members of Majelis Taklim Darusshofa. This technique was chosen to explore first-hand experiences, perceptions, and strategic steps that have been implemented in the recruitment process.The results of the study show that there are three main strategies employed by Majelis Taklim Darusshofa, namely: (1) identifying the needs of the congregants and adjusting the da’wah materials accordingly, (2) utilizing social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram to disseminate information, and (3) intensive personal approaches through direct invitations and attention to the individual conditions of congregants. The findings of recruitment strategies based on social relations, digital, and spiritual needs could be a model for developing sustainable Islamic study groups.
