Abstract

Shot peening is a surface treatment method at low temperature by shooting steel balls that are continuously adjusted for pressure and speed until plastic deformation is produced. The optimal parameter of the shot peening process was tested with the taguchi distribution. The factors and levels used are processing time, shooting distance and air pressure used in the shot peening process. Observations were made by looking at changes in surface roughness, thickness reduction, hardness levels, wear and changes in the microstructure of ST 45 steel material. The greatest hardness of 240.39 HVN was obtained at 10 minutes, a distance of 10 cm and a pressure of 9 kg / cm². The results of the surface wear test with the smallest value of 0.00039 mm³ / kg.m were obtained at 5 minutes, a distance of 10 cm and a pressure of 7 kg / cm². The results of the microstructure test showed that the change in the grain size of the microstructure of the material became flatter and smaller, the gravity shot peening method improved the mechanical properties of the ST 45 material.

Abstract

Increasing consumption of fossil fuels, depleting oil reserves and increasingly expensive fuels have forced the use of alternative fuels. Diethyl ether (DEE) can be used as an alternative fuel because it has a high cetane number, low viscosity, and high oxygen content. This observation was carried out to determine the effect of the addition of Diethyl ether on 20% diesel-jatropha fuel mixture to the torque and power produced. Tests carried out on a 4JB1 type direct injection diesel engine with a constant speed of 2500 rpm. The DEE volume used is 5%, 10%, and 15% is volume-based. The test results show 20% jatropha content produces lower torque and power compared to pure diesel fuel (D100). Also, the addition of DEE to 20% diesel-jatropha fuel produces low torque and power but the value is higher than 20% of diesel-jatropha fuel. The highest torque and power reduction trends occurred in the use of DJ20 fuel by 0.0448% when loading 25%. While the lowest decrease in torque and power occurs in the DJ20DEE15 fuel by 0.0112% with 100% loading compared to D100 fuel.

Abstract

The problem faced by institutions of higher education is not exactly of graduation. It is the task of institution of higher education, especially courses in the students academic monitoring. Today, there are many methods or ways to solve various problems of information technology either by machine learning at data mining. This study uses Naive Bayes. Linear Regression, dan Multi Layer Perceptron algorithm also Weight by Information Gain as Features Selection to optimize accuracy in predicting the time of students graduation. The dataset processing with certain attributes including registration line, origin school, origin city, and the semester grade point 1 to 4 in RapidMiner by implementing the three algorithms along with the selection feature produces relatively good accuracy. Naive Bayes produces an accuracy of 81.66% with an execution time of 1.16 seconds, Linear Regression of 80.70% in 2.44 seconds and Multi Layer Perceptron of 82.16% in 1 hour 57 minutes.

Abstract

Activities in the library The process of finding references will be difficult for users and with the Covid-19 pandemic condition, work from home is enforced, this will also have an impact on administration and services in the library. Development of a digitalization system and library administration in improving the services of the PNC library using the software development method of the system development life cycle and the system built on a web-based basis. The design uses the UML concept, system testing using the blackbox testing method, boundary value analysis, and system evaluation with the concept of end-user computing satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to build a library digitalization system and library automation that can assist the administrative process and service to users. The result of the research is a digitalization system that can provide information, namely references in the form of final project books and industrial internships in web-based libraries and independent circulation systems in libraries that will support library services more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Air Glubi Village which is one of the villages in the Bintan Pesisir sub-district, Bintan Regency, Riau Islands province, is one of the villages that is one of the outer islands of Indonesia which still has no electricity, and is difficult to reach by PLN. In this village, there is no water source available for PLTMH, so the alternative for electricity supply in Air Glubi Village is a centralized PLTS. This paper discusses the planning of centralized PLTS in Air Glubi Village, Bintan Pesisir sub-district, Riau Islands province. Because the availability of land, the economic capacity of the population is limited, optimization is needed. This optimization is used to get the optimum electrical energy output with these various limitations. From primary data, electricity demand in the village is 62492 Wh per day. The optimization resulted in a centralized PLTS design with an off grid type with a capacity of 37 kWp. The main component is a solar module made of monocrystalin with a capacity of 200 Wp each, totaling 186 modules. The battery uses VRLA 200 Ah each, totaling 250 batteries. The change of Dc electricity to AC is carried out by utilizing an inverter with a capacity of 10 kW totaling 4 pieces. To build a centralized PLTS in Air Glubi Village need costs Rp 2,983,902,171.

Abstract

The rocket motor tube is the main component of the Dextrose rocket. This paper aims to investigate the effect of tube length and fillet radius on the safety factor of a dextrose rocket motor tube using Ansys Workbench. The Dextrose rocket tube uses Al 6063-T5 material with an outer diameter of 32 mm, a wall thickness of 3 mm, and internal pressure of 5 MPa. The rocket motor tube length is varied by 200, 250, 300, and 350 mm. The fillet radius uses variations of 3, 4, and 5 mm. The analysis was carried out using the finite element method with the help of Ansys Workbench. The simulation results show that the safety factor does not have a significant effect on changes in the length of the rocket tube. The safety factor increases as the fillet radius increases.

Abstract

Pond cultivation is a coastal sector’s potential in Nusawungu District. To optimize the potential of fish and shrimp ponds in Nusawungu District, mapping of the suitable coastal locations as pond cultivation areas was carried out. This research was included in descriptive – quantitative study of the suitability class of pond cultivation land by using the scoring method from the overlay parameter of land usage, soil type, soil texture, slope inclination, pond to river distance, and pond to beach distance. The land suitability class based on this method was divided into 3 (three) classes, suitable (S1), conditionally suitable (S2), and unsuitable (S3). The results showed that 48.32% or an area of 29.6008 km2, categorized S1 (suitable) as location for pond cultivation. Furthermore, the S2 (Conditionally suitable) class was recorded for 33.98% or an area of 20.8039 km2. S3 (unsuitable) class was recorded for 17.72% or an area of 10.8553 km2.

Abstract

Water is one of the natural resources that is very useful for every living thing. Water demand of human will increase in accordance with technological developments that occur in the community, with an effective and efficient regulatory and processing system using plumbing systems. The clean water distribution system in an academic building can work if it is supported by a system of clean water storage that is in accordance with the needs and supported by a pump installation system and piping installation. In the selection of water storage capacity, the selection of pumps and piping systems must be adjusted to the needs of the academic building, it is important to understand the capacity, pipe diameter and installation head. From the calculation results obtained a flow capacity of 1.56 m³/minute with a water tank capacity of 84 m³/day in 8 hours of operational time in one day. A roof water tank capacity of 15 m³ that is able to serve the peak needs of clean water for 30 minutes. While the total head of the installation is 30 meters, so that the selected type of centrifugal pump with a rotation of 3000 rpm, frequency 50 Hz, motor power 15 KW.

Abstract

The improvement of the sales system not only focuses on the advantage result of the sales transaction but also can use another parameter to improve it. One of a parameter used is commission. Giving commissions to the salesperson can improve their work performance and have an impact on increasing sales targets. Based on the study literature, the problem faced by the company is the discrepancy of commission. It canbe affected by several factors such as the commission system are not integrated with the main system, improper formula, or there are many systems used in the company so it the staff are difficult to integrate the system. For example, the company using Odoo ERP to support sales transaction and use commission information system separately. The salesperson must integrate sales data into both of the systems. It can affect the time delay of decision commission. Based on the problem above, we propose a prototype commission system that integrates with Odoo12. The salesperson does not need to integrate data manually into the system because it automatically integrates into the system. This study uses a prototyping model as a software development method. The results show that the commission system can implement on the Odoo12 ERP to decide commission to the salesperson. 70% of respondent agree that system has able to use in order to setting up commission module on Odoo

Abstract

Classification is a field of data mining that has many methods, one of them is decision tree. Decision tree is proven to be able to classify many kinds of data such as image data and time series data. However, there are several obstacles that are often encountered in the decision tree method. Running time required for the execution of this algorithm is quite long, so this study proposed to use the ant tree miner algorithm which is a development algorithm from the C4.5 decision tree. Ant tree miner works by utilizing ant colony optimization in the process of building its tree structure. Use ant colony optimization expected can optimize the tree that will be formed. From the testing that have been carried out, an accuracy of about 95% is obtained in the process of classifying Zoo dataset with the number of ants between 60 - 90.
