Abstract

Islam and Banjar people are one in unity. Banjar people also know and use the pamali in their daily lives. On the other hand, pamali is considered by the Banjar people as pamali. The objective of this study is to describe pamali originating from Islamic teachings such as the Qur'an and hadith. The results of this study prove that the Banjar pamali is partly derived from the Qur'an, and hadith, and the words of the ulama. The pamali from the teachings of Islam and the five pillars of Islam is in the way of eating and drinking, sleeping, farming.

Abstract

AbstractRevealing potential prosperity of a region through language, especially in lexicon, is urgentlyneeded. By doing this, it can be acknowledged that a certain region has natural source or has thehuman resources in processing those sources. A language can describe the potential prosperity of aregion. It is described from its vocabulary. An ethnic would be formulated by the lexicon masteringwhen it is applied in certain situation. This formula has been applied into the ethnic of Kaili whobecome the biggest ethnic in central of Sulawesi. The method which is applied in this paper isqualitative descriptive. The result shows that there are lexicons in Kaili language which havereflected the power of its society and the prosperity Central of Sulawesi. A wealth of biodiversity nonbiodiversity that mirror in Lexicon Kaili are mine, farm, plantation, gain of forest, and fishery. AbstrakPotensi kekayaan suatu daerah melalui bahasa, khususnya leksikon, sangat perlu diungkap.Dengan begitu, dapat diketahui suatu daerah tertentu memiliki kekayaan alam atau kemampuanmengolah hasil alam secara tepat. Hal ini tercermin dari penggunaan kosakatanya. Sebuah etnik akanterpolakan dari penguasaan leksikon yang digunakan dalam hal tertentu. Hal itu akan diungkap padaleksikon BK. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil pembahasanmenunjukkan bahwa leksikon-leksikon dalam bahasa mencerminkan kekayaan hayati dan nonhayatiSulawesi Tengah. Keaneragaman hayati dan nonhayati yang tercermin dalam leksikon BK adalahkeanekaragaman tambang, pertanian, perkebunan, hasil hutan, peternakan, dan perikanan.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the quality of character building in Banjarfable. This study presententing a problem about is there positive quality ofcharacter building in Banjar fable for the readers. This study uses descriptivemethod and library research. Base on the study it can be found that Banjar fablehas positive quality of character building so it can be said that Banjar fable canbe used as one of media resource to build positive character for the readers.

Abstract

The study aimed at describing the forms of code switching in thetransaction at traditional market of Manonda in Palu. Data wereanalyzed by employing descriptive method. The data of the study werethe utterances of buyers and sellers in the transaction. The data sourcesof the study were buyers and sellers who conducted the transaction attraditional market of Manonda in Palu. Data were collected byobservation, recording, and note-taking method. The result of the studyrevealed that the transaction at the traditional market of Manonda inPalu conducted by the buyers and sellers contained code switching. Theforms of code switching were Indonesian language to Bugineselanguage and vice versa, Indonesian language to Kaili language andvice versa, Indonesian language to Melayu Manado, and Indonesianlanguage to Javanese language and vice versa.

Abstract

When communicating, Indonesian people using Indonesian language as national language, besides their own regional one. Both languages sometimes use in oral and written. in their daily life. This situation lead to language interferention, the vocabulary of regional language may use into national and vice-versa. The aim of the study is describing the morfology interferention of Bugis language into Indonesia language which has been acted by the student of SMA Neg. 1  Tellulimpoe, Kabupaten Sinjai. The method applied is informal language.The informal arrangement are, apply the formula of common words by using dialogue, questionnaire, interview, observation, and recording technique. The data then are descriptively analysed. This step describe the situation and condition of the study data. The result of the study is : when communicating, the student of SMA Neg. 1 Tellulimpoe Kabupaten Sinjai do the interferention of Bugis into Indonesian language. The interferention of prefix is ta?- and the enclitique are –mi, -pi, –ji, -kik, –ko, -kak, and –ta.

Abstract

The function and meaning of affix in the Bungku language is described in this paper. The paper is categorized as descriptive research, which is described the facts or phenomenon of language in natural way. The method which is applied is the descriptive one, combined with the interviews and documentations techniques In the result, it is showed that affixes on Bungku language have beenclassified into prefix, suffix, infix and confix in certain words construction which has certain meaning and function. Generally, the function of affix in bungku language is to form the noun and verbs. Later, this affix has variative meaning. It has meaning as subject which has to do something, to do an action with tools, the most of, and to make something into something’s else.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang fungsi edukatif dan fungsi moral  dalam ungkapan bahasa Tae’ yang merepresentasikan kearifan lokal Etnik Luwu. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian etnografi dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa ungkapan bahasa Tae’,khusunya yang berkaitan dengan fungsi edukatif dan fungsi moral bahasa Tae’ yang merepresentasikan kearifan lokal etnik Luwu. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, perekaman, dan studi dokumentasi. Data ungkapan tersebut diperoleh dari informan yang terdiri atas informan terpilih dan informan bebas. Informan terpilih yaitu tetua adat dan budayawan. Sementara itu, informan bebas adalah beberapa orang masyarakat Baebunta yang dalam kehidupan sehari-hari menggunakan bahasa Tae’.Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis etnografi menurut teori Spradly, yakni analisis domain, analisis taksonomi, analisis komponensial, dan analisis tema kultural.  Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh temuan bahwa ungkapan bahasa Tae' yang merepresentasikan kearifan lokal etnik Luwu itu memiliki berbagai ragam fungsi dengan pesannya masing-masing, di antaranya, yaitu fungsi edukatif memiliki sepuluh ragam pesan, yaitu pesan tentang etos kerja, sabar dan ikhlas, bersikap netral, mengejar prestasi, mengubah kebiasaan buruk, syukur nikmat, berhemat, sikap mandiri, dan sikap konsisiten dan  fungsi moral memiliki empat ragam pesan, yaitu jujur, amanah, menjaga kehormatan, dan menghargai kebaikan orang .

Abstract

AbstractThis discussion have aim improing the speaking skill of the students by using power point as themedia in the group discussion. The methode applied are observation and discussion with thecollaborator. The result is the application of learning through the presentation of personal task ingroup discussion can improve the speaking skill of students. The result of the observation there areincreasing of student activities. First cycle shows that the mean is 75 % and in the second cycle is84,4 %. This result shows that the speaking skill is increased. The group mastering in the personaltask is increased, from 81,25 in the first cycle, become 87,5 in the second. The group mastering inpower point design is excellent, 100% in second cycle while 80% in the first. It can be concluded thatby learning speaking aspect, the student can construct and find the knowledge by themselves. Thestudent can also do and finish the task given by teacher. In this case, the teacher only becomefacilitator. In the learning process of personal task using power poin on group discussion, the processbecome active, creative, effective, and fun. AbstrakPenelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa melalui presentasi powerpoint dalam diskusi kelompok. Metode yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dandiskusi dengan kolaborator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran melaluipresentasi tugas mandiri dengan power point dalam diskusi keompok dapat meningkatkankemampuan berbicara siswa. Dari hasil observasi memperlihatkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan aktivitassiswa dalam presentasi saat diskusi kelompok pada siklus pertama nilai rata - rata 75%, naik 84,4%pada siklus kedua. Hal itu menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan dalam diskusi kelompok telah mengalamikemajuan. Penguasaan kelompok terhadap tugas mandiri meningkat pada siklus pertama 81,25 naikmenjadi 87,5 pada siklus kedua. Penguasaan kelompok terhadap desain power point mencapaikesempurnaan, yaitu 100% pada siklus kedua, dibandikngkan pada sikulus pertama hanya mencapai80%. Dengan demikian, melalui pembelajaran aspek berbicara, siswa membangun dan menemukanpengetahuan sendiri. Siswa juga dapat melaksanakan dan menyelesaikan tugas yang diberikan guru.Dalam hal ini, guru hanya sebagai fasilitator. Dalam pembelajaran presentasi tugas mandiri denganpower point dalam diskusi kelompok, proses belajar mengajar lebih aktif, kreatif, efektif, danmenyenangkan.

Abstract

The main focus of the research is noun phrase in Buol language. This research aims todescribe the noun phrase in Buol language and its patterns. The research’s objectivesis to describe the noun phrases and its patterns in Buol language. Steps to be taken inthis study begins with data collection. In obtaining data, researchers usedquestionnaire related to the noun phrase. Recording technique and notes-taking areused in this method. The data were analyzed by using read-marker method anddistributional method in expand technique. The result shows that the noun phrase inBuol language includes attributive noun phrase and coordinative noun phrase. TheAttributive noun phrase has some patterns: (1)stem-modifier, (2)modifier-stem, (3)modifier-stem-modifier. While the coordinative noun phrase has a single pattern, thatis multistem pattern.

Abstract

Language choice is a common phenomena that occurs in multilingual societies. Indonesia people consist of various cultures, races, and ethnics and also various of languages which they used to communicated between their families and their societies. This research wants to find out the language choice of the Buginese ethnic infamily domain based on roles relation and education category in Donggala Regency. This research aims to (1)described the pattern language choice of the Buginese ethnic in family domain based on eduaction categoryand roles relation in Donggala Regency and (2) analyzed the factors language choice of the Buginense ethnicin family domain based on roles relation and education category in Donggala Regency. This research useda sociolinguistic approach method by quiestionnaire, interview, observation, recording technique, and thenanalyzed the data based on the percentage of language choice of the Buginese ethnic in family domain. Theresults showed that the Buginese ethnic in Donggala regency still dominant choose Bugis as a means ofcommunication in family domain based on roles relation and education category (82%), which is about 8%used Indonesian, 7% choose to mix Bugis and Indonesian, and only 3% used another languge, that is locallanguage, Dampal and Mandar.
