Abstract

Kima or giant clams (Giant Clams) are a type of bivalve that is often found in thewaters of shellfish ecosystems. Shellfish can be developed as a fishery resource with high nutritional value to meet people’s food needs. The main problem in this research is the protein and fat content of giant clams (Tridacna gigas) from the waters of Suli Village. The aim of this research is to determine the protein and fat content of giant clams (Tridacna gigas) from the waters of Suli Village. The method used in this research is descriptive to see the presence of protein and fat in Bivalves, giant clams (Tridacna gigas). Data from research on the analysis of protein content in giant clams (Tridacna gigas) resulted in a protein content of 11.0671 in the first repetition, 10.8958 in the second repetition, with an average prorein contente 0f 10.9814. meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the fat content of giant clams (Tridacna gigas) showed that the fat content was 0.7238 in the first repetition, 0.7005 in the second repetition, with an average fat content of 0.7121. using this research, the author hopes that this article will be useful for everyone who reads it and that the public will be able to find out the protein and fat content of the Giant kima (Tridacna gigas). And maintain theGiant Kima (Tridacna gigas) ecosystem found in the waters of Suli Village Beach.

Abstract

Background: Ethnobotany is a field of science that studies the reciprocal relationship between humans and plants, medicinal plants are a branch of science from ethnobotany, since ancient times the people of West Sumatra have still used plants as a medium for treatment, one of which is the Kenagarian Sungai Janiah community, Gunung Talang District, Solok Regency, Sumatra Province West. Methods: methods and community interviews about medicinal plants that are often used by the community. This research was conducted in the period November-December 2023. Conclusion: From the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the Kenagarian Sungai Janiah community uses plants as a medium for traditional medicine. The plants commonly used by the community consist of 16 species belonging to 11 families. The parts of plants that people often use are leaves and there are also some who use plant parts in the form of stems, roots, rhizomes and fruit.

Abstract

ackground: The need for and provision of forage is achieved by considering the continuous provision of forage in both quantity and quality. One of the efforts to develop animal husbandry that can be carried out is to utilize forage for livestock in deep coconut plantations. This research aims to determine the botanical composition of natural forage in coconut plantation areas as feed for ruminants in Taniwel District, West Seram Regency. Method s : This research uses a purposive sampling method. The data used in this research is based on secondary data and primary data. Results : The research results showed that the botanical composition results were 63.18% grass, 26.30% weeds and 10.52% legumes. Co nclusion: Based on the research results, it is necessary to eradicate pest plants (weeds) for forage and plant superior forage to increase the need for feed for ruminant livestock. The availability of forage can still meet the need for animal feed in Taniw el District, West Seram Regency

Abstract

Background: The diversity of spider species is greatly influenced by the stability of the community of a spider species in a forest ecosystem and the presence of plant vegetation as spider habitat. Forest damage will have an impact on spider diversity which affects the cycle of nutrients and materials in the ecosystem. Biodiversity is a term that includes genes, plant, animal and microorganism species as well as ecosystems and ecological processes Methods: This research is a quantitative descriptive research, namely to calculate the diversity of spider types (Arachnida) in the petuanan forest of Rumah Tiga Village, Ambon Island. Results: There were 6 species of spiders (Arachnida) found in the forests of Taeno, Air Ali and Kranjang hamlets, including P. phalangioides, T. extensa, Araneus diadematus, Menemerus bivittatus, N. pilipes, and C. mildei. Conclusion: The level of diversity (Arachnida) at the research location located in the Taeno hamlet forest is H' 0.68, Air Ali is H' 0.64 and Kranjang is H' 0.60. Judging from the Shannon-Wiener criteria, if the diversity result = <1, diversity is classified as low.

Abstract

Abstrak Background : This study aims to determine the phenetic diversity of seagrass species in the coastal waters of Waai Village based on morphometrics and their implications for biology learning. Methods : This research is a descriptive type of research, in which morphometric measurements are carried out to determine the phenetic diversity of seagrass species. sedan Results: The results of this study found four types of seagrass, namely Thalasssia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides, Halophila pinifolia and Halophila ovalis. this indicates that the beach of Poka Village has a high phenetic diversity of seagrass species with varying morphometrics for each character and species, which is influenced by the type of substrate and environmental parameters. Seagrasses that have close kinship relations, namely, Thalasssia hemprichii and Enhalus acoroides are in one monophyletic group (ingroup) and have very close kinship. Likewise with and Halodule pinifolia and Halophila ovalis. The results of this study are implied in the form of teaching materials in the form of booklets that can be used by students as learning media.

Abstract

Background: Gayam (Inocarpus fagifer Fosb.) contains natural chemicals in the form of primary metabolites which play an important role in the survival of the style plant, not only primary metabolites, but the style plant contains secondary metabolites which are beneficial for the survival of the style plant in its environment Methods: The aim of this research was to determine the tannin content of gayam leaves at different altitudes. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative and qualitative with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Results: The results of the research show that based on photochemical tests, gayam leaves in Negeri Ema and Airlouw Hamlet contain tannin compounds. The total tannin content in Negeri Ema was 1.3956 mgTAE/g, while Airlouw Hamlet was 1.5484 mgTAE/g, which means the tannin content was higher in Airlouw Hamlet. The implication of the research results for biology learning is by creating a practical guide for biochemistry courses Conclusion: the tannin content of Gayam (Inocarpus fagifer Fosb.) leaves in Negeri Ema (highlands) is 1.3956 mgTAE/g, while the tannin content of Gayam (Inocarpus fagifer Fosb.) leaves in Air Louw Hamlet (lowlands) is 1.5484 mgTAE/g. So the tannin content in the lowlands is greater than the tannin content in the highlands
