Abstract

The application of aquaponics in South Meruya has dual benefits, both in terms of improving the community's economy and food security, which ultimately improves the welfare and quality of life of urban communities. Aquaponics is an integrated system between fish farming and hydroponic farming that utilizes fish waste as nutrients for plants and filters the water that is reused for fish. The application of freshwater fish aquaponics in South Meruya is an innovative solution to address economic challenges and food security for urban communities. Aquaponics assists communities in generating fresh revenue by producing fish and vegetables for local markets. The relatively low operational costs and limited space make aquaponics ideal for implementation in urban areas with limited land, such as in South Meruya. Aquaponics allows communities to produce food independently and sustainably. Community food security increases due to easier access to sources of protein and fresh vegetables.

Abstract

Roemah Cookies, an MSME in Denpasar, currently has not fully utilized digital marketing even though it offers various variants of cookies through WhatsApp orders. In the digitalization era, conventional marketing has become less effective, and brand awareness has become a key factor in market competition. This activity was carried out using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and aims to increase brand awareness of MSME cookies through Instagram social media marketing. This service has succeeded in having a positive impact in increasing brand awareness and implementing social media marketing for UMKM Roemah Cookies. Through the stages of planning, coordination and information obtained online, the next steps have been prepared. The material presented at the implementation stage has provided an understanding of the importance of social media marketing as well as practical steps in implementing it. The evaluation shows an increase in followers and positive interactions with followers on Instagram, illustrating success in building active interactions with consumers. Thus, UMKM Roemah Cookies is able to apply the knowledge acquired and is ready to continue to utilize social media marketing as an effective tool for growing brand awareness and business in the digital era.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Masyarakat ini menargetkan masyarakat dari Keluharan Meruya Selatan, Jakarta Barat yaitu Komunitas Majelis Silahul Mu'min. Berdasarkan analisis situasi, diketahui bahwa mitra sasaran ini memiliki karakteristik masyarakat urban yang menghadapi permasalahan (1) budidaya sayuran hidroponik tidak berkelanjutan, (2) manajemen keuangan, serta (3) pemasaran. Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang cara membuat konten pemasaran dan memasarkan secara online produk hidroponik. Hasil dari kegiatan pemberdayaan kemitraan masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang diberikan berguna dalam menyelesaikan beberapa permasalahan dalam masyarakat; meningkatkan kualitas masyarakat sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil produk dan hasil budidaya hidroponik yang berpeluang dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat. Sebagian besar peserta merasa materi dan praktik yang dilakukan saat pelaksanaan sangat berguna dalam meningkatkan serta mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan, sebagai bahan belajar masyarakat dalam melakukan budidaya hidroponik, sehingga menambah semangat peserta untuk mempraktikannya kembali di kemudian hari demi mewujudkan ketahanan pangan dan kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat Kelurahan Meruya Selatan termasuk Komunitas Majelis Silahul Mu'min.

Abstract

Universitas Negeri Semarang has a Community Service Program called the Unnes Giat program. Twelve students from the Unnes Giat 5 group conducted community service activities in Pabuaran Village, Bantarbolang District, Pemalang Regency, as a Pancasila-driven village. The younger generation needs to improve their understanding and love for Pancasila, the foundation of the Indonesian state. Following the development of social media technology, students have innovated in implementing the work program by utilizing the TikTok application. The purpose of this service is to increase public awareness of the values of Pancasila through a competition celebrating Indonesian Independence Day with a new and fun method. The implementation of community service as a whole uses a mixed method, namely demonstrations and lectures. The work program of Instilling Pancasila Values through the TikTok application was enthusiastically followed by the community.

Abstract

The empowerment of this community partnership implements a program to improve the green economy by increasing reading interest among Arrihlah Islamic Junior High School students by utilizing solar-based ReadCharge technology. The initiative aims to encourage literacy in schools and introduce renewable energy to students as part of sustainable environmental solutions. With the use of environmentally friendly technology, it is hoped that awareness of the importance of green technology in supporting the education and economic development of the community will be created. The program started with designing and building a solar-powered stand-up ReadCharge, then making the design, making the standard operating for its use, providing reading books with a variety of interesting options, and providing training on the use of ReadCharge to students, teachers, parents, and community leaders around Arrihlah Junior High School in several trainings. The training is organized systematically, from the introduction of ReadCharge and its use to its maintenance. The training evaluation provided an overview that ReadCharge delivers an in-depth understanding of the use of solar power to preserve the environment and increase reading interest for students, teachers, and the community. The practical implications of empowering community partnerships funded by grants from the Ministry of Education and Culture are part of the Government's program that encourages people to develop and utilize renewable energy, namely energy sourced from solar heat.

Abstract

Kelurahan Meruya Selatan area in West Jakarta's high-density population, in each resident's house has a rare Green Open Space (RTH). Meruya Selatan Village area, namely 2.8 km². So that the visual quality decreases due to uncontrolled development and limited land. With the densely populated condition of the Meruya Selatan Village and polluted air, reforestation is very much needed. There are many ways to reforest, including a hydroponic vertical garden. The advantage of vertical hydroponic planting is the efficiency of land use. Cultivating plants using this technique is very profitable for those who do it. Such as harvesting plants can be faster, healthier, with maximum results, and can utilize plastic waste by converting used bottles into hydroponic planting media. And can make this environment beautiful and comfortable. Utilization of yard land is one way to increase household-scale food security. Thus, it is hoped that every community participating in hydroponics will help their economic system

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower the economy of the residents of Meruya Selatan Village, West Jakarta, through training in processing catfish into shredded fish. This activity is designed to address the issues of low income and lack of food processing skills among the local PKK mothers. Through a series of training and mentoring sessions, this program will equip participants with skills in producing high-quality catfish floss, preservation techniques, packaging, and effective marketing strategies. The implementation methods include initial surveys, intensive training, hands-on practice, and continuous monitoring. Other targets include improving the knowledge and skills of participants, as well as expanding the marketing reach of catfish floss products. By utilizing local potential and appropriate technology, it is hoped that this program can increase family income, strengthen food security, and encourage local economic growth in Meruya Selatan Village. The PKM activities will conclude with a discussion session, a Q&A session, and the completion of a questionnaire. The outcomes of the PKM activities will be published in the form of mass media, articles, and journal publications.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas pengelolaan sampah organik rumah tangga di Desa Bojong Nangka, secara khusus berfokus pada pengembangan kompos dan eko-enzim sebagai alternatif yang berkelanjutan. Tujuan dari proyek ini adalah untuk mengurangi jumlah sampah organik dan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai pentingnya pengelolaan sampah yang tepat. Teknik yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pengawasan dalam pelaksanaan pengolahan sampah organik. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa konversi sampah organik menjadi kompos dan eko-enzim menghasilkan pengurangan sampah dan menghasilkan produk yang bernilai. Program ini juga mendukung upaya Kampung Iklim, yang berupaya untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih bersih dan menyehatkan.

Abstract

SEHJIRA, a deaf foundation in Tangerang, Banten, faces various challenges in empowering deaf people, including low self-confidence, lack of creative economic skills, and lack of understanding about digital business. This Community Service Program is designed to address these issues with three main solutions: psychological training to build self-confidence, skills training in convection, screen printing, and tie-dyed batik to produce creative products, and business management and digital marketing training. The goal is to empower deaf people to become financially and emotionally independent through the creative economy sector. Lecturers and students collaborate in training that includes increasing self-confidence, production skills, and product marketing. The results showed an increase in self-confidence, skills in producing creative products, and the ability to market products digitally. Participants were enthusiastic and motivated to apply the training for economic independence. This program produced outcomes in the form of improved skills, production tools, scientific publications, and an increase in the positive image of the SEHJIRA Foundation.

Abstract

Workshop for Permai business actors in Penang, Malaysia on the arrangement of product displays for Batik Iket Celup. The goal of this workshop is to support traditional batik production's business development initiatives, particularly those related to Batik Iket.  Offering goods displays, including open, shut, inside, nameplate, and product decorating, as well as delear and external displays, this layout configuration allows for an interior display of Batik Iket products.In order to increase the capacity of business players in the designing of Batik Iket product displays, this goal is accomplished via the employment of a workshop method that emphasizes cooperation and consultation.  This workshop activity is expected to produce a process that helps business actors become more efficient in their present and future jobs by developing of appropriate habits of thought, action, skills, knowledge and attitudes. The result of this PKM will provide scientific insights both presentations and training on the process of making dyed Batik Iket.
